Mossberg 590M - Part 1

[Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] thanks for watching Mossberg the 590 m4 magazine sorry about the wind so got this thing in and and it is it's a neat gun I'm a been a fan of Mossberg 590 since they came out my first that I bought myself my first police shotgun was a Mossberg 590 I got I got second place in the the Knob Creek machine gun shoot sod match for shotguns I was told I could never win let's add a semi-auto and I got sick in place with my 590 and six people that came with me thought other people that came with me shot it right in a row after me when the last guy shot it was so damn hot that you know if you think of she she healed is not necessary that that was that was something else so some things about it that my friend Brian sayers who is shoot videos on Instagram asked is what does it come out of the tube at all no that tube is blocked its magazine-fed this is the 10 round magazine they have I believe it's 5 10 15 and 20 round magazines the magazines are you know like priced at like 50 60 70 and 80 dollars somewhere in that price range Brian said well can this to be used for spare rounds and I said well I don't know yeah it'll actually hold six or seven spare rounds in it it makes the shotgun heavier and you got to put this nut back on before you try to shoot it so the only problem I've seen with it is trying to port load it and that's not a big deal but you can't port load it but let me let me shoot this thing and I've got I'm shooting this time I'm shooting the Fiocchi seven and a half whatever shooting dynamics whatever okay but put that my pocket save that for a minute Oh starting to rain perfect rain shower that's good for the electronics so magazine is a hinge type so like an ake a lock it in it's got these grooves that ensure proper alignment that's what your neat this is the magazine release some of you guys might be used to something else being here but that's a magazine release if you're a seventy guy you're thinking about a safety I prefer the Mossberg safety because it's ambi and it's easy to get to but but this is cool so shoot this thing this will be the first shots are fired out of this gun I've got a shoot steel target downrange I don't think you can see the target but it's not really relevant got these ghost ring sized operating a Mossberg safety I want the bullets to stay here I want the bullets to go that way I want the boats to stay here I want the bullets to go that way okay so shot up and find it's my first rounds out of this gun now port load I told you it was it was a problem so if you just drop around in come on too many pockets I'm a Blackhawk shirt you just drop it in of course I'm demoing it and it went right in but it would it would it would hang up me if I could see if I can get it to to show you it would do that right there okay now I'm not trying to make it [ __ ] up and I'm not trying to make the shotgun look bad but port loading is relevant and it's important so what I found is when you port load this I'll hold it where you can see it you have to instead of just dropping it in have to feed it toward the front you have to feed it toward the front of the ejection port to get it in there smooth so instead of just dropping it in you would maybe tilt the gun and and cheat toward the front that much that much but really neat let me grab some buckshot and see how it does with buckshot all right i'ma shoot the the non public high velocity buck non pellet not nickel-plated from frumpy okay this is my my pick for a buckshot nickel-plated it means it stays nice and round flies true shoots a nice small group at 25 and I don't want it to be too small not too small at all so let's do 10 rounds a buck in here see what in that Fiocchi high-velocity buck I love it all right the only thing left is some slugs let's find let's find me a box of those and get to it I did get an umbrella for my camera so next up for the 590 m these bad boys it's a two and three-quarter inch one ounce fifteen hundred and sixty feet per second we are moving along and since my camera's got a number long Mossberg doesn't magazine goes in nice goes in really nice now I noticed a slight problem trying to load the magazine with these shelves because they're like it's like it's not designed for shells that are quite this long so well this magazine doesn't like these shells they're 2 and 3/4 shells and while I was loading them it's like kind of funky but now they won't come out I might have to take this magazine apart to get them out they I don't know if they're like a little too long I mean they're moving up and down the magazine but I can feel a drag so I don't know what's up don't know what's up well I want all this trouble to put the umbral on here I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna shoot some slugs through here I got down there at about 75 I have not shot this on paper I don't know what's going to do I'm just gonna put the top of the blade in the center of the target see what happens I hit it since there's no mag in and I'm turning it up another steel target if you can see it down here it's about 100 I heard something but I cannot guarantee that it was a hit I heard something something metallic I put the guarantee I'm gonna shoot that baby blue one out there at 200 I know it's the slug and it's like thrown rock shoot someone enough for sure gotta figure out what's going on with the feeding maybe it's maybe it's a brand thing like maybe Fiocchi loads their slugs like a 16 inch inch longer than some I'll go ahead and tell you right now any of that any of that you know wolf or you need that stuff that's really like a full reel two and three-quarter inches that's not going to this magazine at all that's not gonna happen at all so you got your shoot reel two and three-quarter in here alright Mossberg I liked it ever since the first one I had I bought it when they came out I don't know I was a patrol cop so it was after sector 96 when I started patrol but so it served me well I had a plane with a bead sight and I got a shield after that competition I was telling you about but I dig it oh yeah the ten round mag I mean it's ten rounds it's not that that heavy or anything but that fifteen or twenty that that would be a be heavy and if you know if it's for home defense or something like that you know I got it I got to tell you shotgun fights just don't last a long time you know I'm not I'm just not worried about it you know I'd be fine with that five round mag in this thing as a home defense gun I'd be fine with it but a long time so figure out what's coming off the slopes but I like this gun I like the magazine version and the great thing is take the mag out it's got birdshot or book shot and put slugs in it or whatever the case may be so being able to change like that's pretty cool pretty good job there Mossberg all right that's all I got James Jacobs have sponsor money you that your responsibility to be ready for the fight never
