Kenshi Lone Wolf - EP1 - LEFT FOR DEAD

it was an ambush your food is ours now the bandits yelled as they charged towards our small group we had no choice but to hold our ground and fight back outnumbered each of us fought as if our very lives depended on it in the end it just wasn't enough our broken bodies lay scattered in the dirt as the bandits looted the last of our food and gear was this how I was going to meet my end as the light in my eyes began to fade a figure emerged you'll fetch a nice price boy the man said placing shackles around my legs the man looked at my wounds and pulled out his medical supplies to heal them dead slaves are worth nothing it's a shame the others are dead the slavers side they would have fetched a nice price the slaver picked me up and carried me away looks like you're a lone wolf now slave [Music] what's going on guys ad here and welcome to a new series in kimchi this is gonna be a side series a lone wolf series that you guys have been asking for for quite a while and I thought it would be cool to do this kind of on the side and kimchi awakening which is my main series will still remain my my main project and a lot of the cinematics are taking a really long time and I wanted to have some other content released on my channel that gives you guys something to watch in-between the kimchi awakening series which is season 2 if he didn't see kimchi iron man that was season 1 now we're into season 2 which is called kimchi awakening but this is gonna be a kimchi lone wolf series I'm gonna be starting out as a scorched Lander and we're just gonna see how long we can survive as one character and see how how this goes so if you guys are looking forward to this lone wolf series let me know and I thought it would be cool to be a scorched Lander because I wanted to have all five armor pieces and I haven't actually played as a scorched Lander before so I thought that'd be cool and you guys know my high vers are my favorite race in the game but I think for the lone wolf play we'll try a scorch lander and then I don't know if things end badly fairly soon we'll start out as maybe I don't know skeleton or something or maybe a dead hive I don't know but as you can see by my band of that my group that I was with got killed and now I'm over here with the slavers looks like they've captured a bunch of hungry bandits the bandits the same bandits actually assaulted us and killed us so this is gonna be quite interesting I'm gonna recovery coma right now and good thing that they actually came and healed me because otherwise I probably would have died because in the very early game you don't really have a lot of toughness and as you can see my knockout point is negative 12 so if you take more than negative 12 damage to your stomach chest or head you are going to die so it's really important to get that toughness stat up and luckily we got a few points in it so actually I think it was negative 10 to begin with what yeah I guess these guys are gonna send us to probably rebirth or something oh man what a great way to start out a new series being captured but we'll see if we can get out of this at some point you never know what these slavers are gonna do what they're gonna run into so they might end up getting into another battle and we'll get a chance to to run away or something but if you guys are new to the new to this series or new to kimchee in general I've got a lot of series going on a lot of different series that I've done in the past as well so there is links in the description of this video to all of those series and to my current series which is kinshi awakening so this is going to be a side series that I'm going to do a couple times a week maybe twice a week just to give you guys something to watch as I work on some of the harder cinematic stuff in my main series and I looks like we got some dust bandits up here this could be the perfect opportunity for these guys to run into them if these guys hurry up though you've got a freaking hungry bandit that's slowing us down man I want to run into these slavers or I want to run into these dust bandits rather oh we got hungry bandits here now what wonder if I can attack provoked I can't attack provoked while I'm unconscious yeah cuz that would be not good I'd be a little bug little exploit [Music] all right well anyway we're gonna see what these guys do and kind of keep an eye on them we are currently the southeast of hub right now so it's anybody's guess where they're gonna take us I'm thinking probably rebirth well it looks like I've kind of got rid of my unconsciousness and I've woken up and as you can see I've got some really cool face paint so I got a mod that as it's like really cool face paint I think it's called like faces or something like that but I got a leak I've got a description of all the mods that I'm using in the description so if you want to check those out what are the other mods that I've added is I think it was different race bandits so bandits can be different races now so they'll be like hiver sheykh and so forth I think that's another one of shaytans mods so that one's pretty cool I thought thought I'd check that out and see so that kind of brings a little bit more life to the game now at this point we can let's see we can't actually run away yet because we've got these prisoners shackles and they they kind of lower your athletics a lot well actually not a lot but yeah actually it is quite a bit at point eighty so with my athletic skill being five we're not going to be able to escape so we're gonna have to just keep going here and try to find a chance when there distracted to run away and see if we can get away that way now that the new world state features are out its I'm really curious to see how far you can really go with one character and I think you could probably get pretty far and you might even be able to take down all of the factions with you know a lot of subtle subtlety you know using assassination and sneak to get in and take out you know the main characters and then trying to get out I don't think you'll be able to at least in the very middle to assault a city by yourself it's going to be pretty much impossible now late-game when you're in the upper 80s and stats and you have like mass or gear maybe that's possible I'm really not sure I've never you know I haven't really played as a solo character in a long time but that's usually by my play of choices I like solo game with kinshi it's a lot of fun because you can just focus on one character and everything is Ironman this is you know a strictly Ironman play so we're gonna have to be careful in the choices we make because it could be our very last so it's gonna be interesting to say the least I'm really excited for this series to be honest but also it'll kind of give me a break from some of the cinematic stuff and just something new to do because a lot of the cinematics stuff that I do in my other series is a lot of you know a lot of like placement and getting characters in position and stuff like that and it's not really like playing the game so it's kind of cool to be able to do another series where I could just kind of play kimchee and just kind of relax a bit oh here we go we got nomads please rescue me haha wandering assassin help me oh wait we're not allied with the shinobi thieves yet no come back haha oh that's a shame I thought they were gonna help me out the developers have been updating the game quite frequently they've also added more world states for some of the other smaller factions in the game and I have a feeling they're gonna continue to do that with pretty much all the factions in the game which I hope so because that could be really cool to really see you know the outcomes of things they've also added bosses basically to a lot of the towns so every town has a boss basically and like a lot of the gangs in the swamp area and stuff and if you take out the boss then a lot of things could happen like those gangs will then you know assault that area for territory and and so forth so there's a lot of interesting things that I don't really know all the outcomes of yet but it's gonna be great to explore those things as we continue on with both of these series so the developers have just been killing it they've been fixing bugs fixing crashes and they're really committed I mean if you guys are really on the fence about this game I would totally get this game now because I also heard that the price might be going up to like $29.99 or something like that but that is speculation I don't know for sure but that's kind of what I heard so definitely get this this game is a steal at $19 or 20 bucks on Steam it's it's definitely I would pay for this game 5 times over again and technically I already have because I've bought at least 5 people kenchi so and I've also given it away a couple times so I've done my fair share of giving away this game well I guess I will try to unlock my shackles let's see if that if I can get away with it let's see if they notice try to unlock my shackles I'll gain a little lock picking this is actually really good if you get captured like this I'm just gonna wait and see what happens oh I did pick him nice and now I might just should I work on my toughness actually no I can get away from them now all right so anyway I don't think they notice I'm gonna drop the shackles because that limits your run speed and we're gonna stop being an obedient slave I'm gonna run this way and peace out see you later all right and I just basically escaped without them have you noticing that's awesome I just got away all right well done I wanted to wait until my stomach was healed a little bit and also I'm running really freaking slow 16 run speed which isn't enough to get away from those guys so we need to get my athletic skill higher that's really the most important stat at the beginning is athletics because that allows you to at least escape you know the enemies that you come across at the beginning especially heavily-armored ones they won't be able to catch you after you run around for a little while but anyway we're gonna go back to the hub and see what we can take there you can get ourselves a little few items maybe some equipment maybe somebody's knocked out I don't know gonna have to be careful now I could what I could have done though is stayed with the slavers and had them try to knock me out again and that would have slowly got my toughness up and that's really important so I could have done that so that's one option if you get in that scenario it's a good way to work on your toughness and get those skills up but I don't want to spend all my all my time walking around all the way to rebirth I'll take way too long alright let's see who's this guy holy nation outlaws okay alright what we got here empty rum bottle cup water jug we don't have anything good here to steal or anything or to take alright let's see it looks like they removed the the note here so you can't you can't mine in this spot let's see I'm gonna have to be careful but I think they still have a note somewhere over here it looks like they removed those as well well that's good they're making you kind of travel out out of the world and outside of the town cuz it was really easy to just fine out here in the of alright so we're gonna go exploring here and see what other trouble we can get into well here we go here's a small copper resource we can mine mine this for a little bit it's mine this for just a tad get some food at least that's their main priority because we're actually hungry right now and it's lowering our stats so let's try to get some food first and then we'll go from there but right now I'm just gonna bind this copper and keep an eye out oh no it looks like the slave buggers found me time to roll time to go we've got four pieces of copper and oh if you can take a look here I look like a slave by 40% so there's a good chance that they might notice me so I'm gonna I'm just gonna have to go this way I'll go around the long way and open wait a minute what do we have here I see them over here and we got hungry bandits so perfect okay we're gonna have to go right or we're gonna have to chance it and go down the ravine actually yeah we look like a slave 40 percent they might not notice me oh I look like a slave 60 percent when I take my pants off alright just run through them just go alright they didn't notice me thank goodness alright let's run over here to the bar and sell this copper let's see how much we make I think if we get 180 yeah 180 for each piece so this is a simple way to make money at the very beginning of the game you can do some mining and just sell it to the barkeep oh I also got another mod here which gives you the Shinigami kimono this thing is pretty interesting I haven't actually I was going to use that for something in my other series how much is this thing 800 let's see we're up to 588 we're gonna have to buy all the blueprints again alright well anyway I'm gonna just get some dried meat for right now and that'll get me at least fed and this thing has a little bit of protection this would be pretty cool to buy just to have it have a little protection alright my next order of business is actually to head west I'm gonna be heading towards ad mag which is a town all the way over here it's a shek town and we should be able to do some training there and at least get our Meili combat skill melee attack up to fifteen probably a thirteen because after thirteen it starts to take a long time so we'll get our melee attack up to thirteen just by training on a dummy and that will help us out in the initial battles so we're gonna run over there we're also gonna work on our athletics because we need to get that higher anyway so we're just gonna try to by the time we get there our athletics should be a little bit a little bit higher which we want to run speed somewhere around like 21 if possible that'll allow us to outrun pretty much anything besides beat things so I'm gonna avoid vain which is this area here because oh what do we got here dust bandits see I should be able to outrun these guys because they're kind of heavily armored [Music] see what sir runs me and see his run speed is 15 so taking a look at people's run speed is good because you'll you'll kind of understand like oh let's see this oh yeah here we go other racial bandits now we got high burrs in there and check oh that's awesome and oh they're fighting hungry bandits now oh this is sweet damn I want to grab some loop hold on let me just hang here for a second see if I can just grab somebody's gear alright let's see let's grab the rag shirt and oh they got half pants I'll take the well I got cargo pants so and I'll take his weapon at least [Music] alright let's bail let's see hold on Noah did that no none of the dust bandits are gonna get knocked out by hungry bandits no way all right let's keep runnin one of the places I like to go to at the very beginning of the game is this ruin right here to the west of Swing this place has some really good weapons and stuff that you can get and sell early on that you can make some money in so it's a really good spot there's never anybody here that I remember so yeah look at this oh holy crap hold on a second Oh added skin spiders oh hold on what are their runs speed ok skin spiders run speeds 11 so as long as we're not below 11 I think we're good let's grab some stuff that we can sell like steel bars armor plating the fragment X and what else if you have over here oh that's gonna lower my run speed really bad yeah I got to get my strength up that's why we got the fragment ax actually if I can I can't grab another one because I don't have room for it but I will rusty chain maille oh I'm gonna take that alright we just got to avoid the skin spiders though I think the rusty chain maille though is impossible to get we'll see some of these items you can't pick up oh there's a ration pack I have the armored plating cuz we can sell that I'll give you the rest of chain mail hell yeah oh yeah we got some high-grade rusty chain mail right off the bat awesome and we can sell this fragment axe for only 341 but it'll get our strength up which is what we really need to get up right now and we finally made it here to add mag and it looks like our strength is up to four now so that's pretty good so will it's it's nice having a heavy weapon like this I probably don't want to sell it but we also have some other things that are heavy too like these armor plating but yeah we'll probably get rid of it so that we can stay fast and the limp nimble let's see what's this building general storage see where's the that's the police building well I think it's the police building you can go into we'll find out we'll see if they let me up here doesn't look like they have a problem with me up here all right so anyway you can train on these dummies all the way up to max skill is 15 so as you can see my melee attack is going up really quickly so we'll just sit here and train for a little bit get that melee attack up all right it's the next day it's morning let's take a look here melee attack is at 11 and a half basically so 11 and a half is pretty good so I'm not gonna go any further with that so now let's go over here to the little travel shop here and see what we can buy see if they have anything like a backpack or something [Music] and they got a minute old they have a small thieves backpack oh it's worth 3,000 oh wow I really hate buying them from these guys because the shinobi thieves have a for cheaper I am going to buy a splint kit and a med kit just so we have them I have a couple but just to be safe let's go ahead and sell all the steel bars and armor plating we don't need that anymore so we're up to 2400 right now camp shelter blueprint yeah why not we'll take that you could get a wooden backpack it's 800 yeah I guess I'll buy a wooden backpack for now and we'll get a better one later I also need a sleeping bag [Music] alright I'll buy one of those so I have a sleeping bag now and also somewhat still got 800 might be a little premature to have the sleeping bag but that's alright I'm actually going to get rid of this fragment axe because it's just gonna weigh us down and yeah we're gonna need some armor I probably should have bought armor first but that's ok let's take a look and see what kind of equipment we can get so the one thing we can get is some shoddy grade mercenary leather armor I think I'll grab that it's not very good but it's gonna give us some protection in the stomach and chest and we definitely want that if we go up against anybody we don't want to take too much damage to our chest or any of the three vital spots because we don't want to go past our knockout point because if that happens then we will probably die so we got to get our toughness up and by doing that we need to get into some battles with some dust like some easy targets and and try not to get knocked out at the same time so that's gonna be kind of dangerous cuz I'm actually at 48 percent incumbrance my run speed is 10 yeah we'll see if we can make it back towards the hub area without dying normally though we probably don't want to be this overloaded but we need to get our strength up at least somehow and yeah all right well let's keep going east it's kind of interesting because the skin spiders actually it looks like they are coming more into the territory now it looks like this guy is gonna fight them he's probably gonna get knocked out though he's got negative six in the stomach well if he doesn't I'm gonna loot him that's another good strategy to is to loot I could probably maybe get in on this fight he killed it damn all right now grab the animal claws we can sell those okay we're in trouble I got a bone dog chasing me ha ha ha uh-oh ok we got to get to these guys up here luckily these guys the Scheck are close they might not help me though Oh [Music] my run speed is not fast enough I hope they kill the bone dog oh they're not killing it oh they did kill it what happened oh it isn't fighting them now okay good let me see if I can get in on this battle ah I'm always too late once I get my strength up though we won't have a problem I'm gonna loot everything though this is a good way to make money whoa that's pretty cool they've added some some new stuff here this is like part of a crass crashed spaceship or building or something like that this wasn't here before that's awesome they're going around and adding all this like cool stuff at least I don't remember that being there these these things interesting okay we got dust bandits right on our trail who's this guy a tech hunter all right yeah we're kind of in trouble here all right let me take off the chainmail take off my pants see if that helps me run faster probably not our best bet is to get to the gate as fast as we can my run speed is frickin 1000 come on we got to get there I don't know all right put your armor back on I'm not gonna make it these guys damn it all right bob and weave oh no come on come on come on where's the guards at come on guards are helping me come on quickly come on check why is there only one warrior okay the rest of them are coming all right here we go let's go let's do this attack all oh I'm gonna get crushed all right my right leg is hurting though all right try not to take too much damage here oh I landed a hit there we go nicely done heal up wouldn't add the medic job well let me loop these guys move all their stuff one of the things that I'm gonna do really early on is get some robotic replacement legs and keep them with me in a backpack because that could really help me out if I get if like if I lose my limb or something out in the world I'm gonna be in trouble so we're gonna have to keep a replacement just in case this is like the Czech warriors aren't crooks like they are in the united cities all right good thing I bought that splint there we go except my medic skill is really low right now so it's not gonna help me much the the higher your medic skill the better your splint skill will be when you splint yourself all right just in time to make it to the bar and I'm also still hungry so I'm suffering some negative effects like incumbrance and stuff so once I get my hunger level higher I won't be suffering any negative penalties we've got a new bounty there's a guy named flying bull interesting maybe we'll try and hunt him down at some point all right I'm gonna go ahead and sell the animal teeth sell the animal claw the mark-up is pretty bad all right since we're at the bar I'm gonna go ahead and go and rest and heal up I take a look my toughness is now at 6 so my knockout point is now negative 15 so we're slowly getting that higher I would like to get my toughness up to the 30s and then we really won't have to worry too much but if we can get it up to maybe 15 that'll be pretty good all right I'm in the armor shop and I'm gonna buy some drifters leather pants to replace my cargo pants I guess I'll get the standard grade for now we'll get those and also get some boots I only have plated long boots instead of the Drifters boots but that's alright so we'll get some standard uh we won't get standard good will get shoddy grade for 390 and we also need some head protection which I guess I could get some metal plates like prototype grade that's all I can afford right now well it's better than nothing it's got negative ten percent stun so that's pretty good so we'll get some prototype grade there we go face plates but not really much protection but better than nothing encumbrance it's still 58 percent so we are pretty overloaded and we got to get that strength up the bad thing with scorch Landers is that they have a a negative racial XP bonus to strength so if you take a look at dexterity they get a positive XP bonus by 1.1 which is great so we're gonna gain Dex really fast strength slightly slower than like a regular human character or sheykh warrior alright so let's go back up towards the hub area so we can see if we can find some hungry bandits or something and fight those guys I'm following this hungry bandit to see if I can knock him out and kill him see if we're gonna attack him come back here there you go he's coming back to fight me should be able to take this guy so this is just kind of what I do is I like to find targets that are you know alone or you know you can kind of have the protection of the guards or you're close to a town so that you can kind of run back for protection at the very beginning this guy wasn't gonna be able to do much anyway because he was shackled and had no weapon all right so I found a few hungry paintings over this hill there's a lot of them actually too many that I'm not gonna be able to take but I'm gonna fight them anyway hold on we got I just got goats there okay let's go ahead and fight him anyway and see what happens maybe we can pull out before we get killed if we take negative damage to the chest we're gonna be in trouble I'm actually gonna drop my backpack on the ground so they can't loot my stuff but it dropped my food on the ground too alright I'm bleeding all right don't take that come on right leg is hurting Oh damn my armor is not okay negative 9 chest that's not good don't get a good hit to the chest because that's gonna really take me down oh man negative 13 to the chest okay that's perfect because if you take a look at my toughness it's Oh 13 Wow so my toughness is knock out point is negative 21 that's perfect so that's what we needed right there because now we'll be able to play dead and heal ourselves and we just gained some toughness out of that which is really important at the beginning so that's really what we needed to do there that was crucial because that could've really ended us if if we had gotten over negative 22 chests then we would have been stuck and the only thing we'd have to do is wait for somebody to heal us or enslave us otherwise we would have died so we're actually pretty lucky here wait to those guys leave let's go sneak mode and yeah let's get up a little bit and let's pick up our food pick up our backpack and yeah let's hightail it out of here splint injuries and okay we're gonna be walking slow but let's see how far are we from the hub quite a ways away oh oh all right we'll see if we can make it and we're finally limping in back to the hub again and we made it without dying that's great we can go into the bar now and rest up and 50/50 cats for bed rental at the hub is not bad at all so it's pretty good and we got our toughness up so our knock out point is negative 21 that's great so if we can get our toughness up even higher that's even better and we're up to 12 12 melee attack 8 melee defense 36 stealth from stealth in around town a little bit in between traveling and 32 athletics so scorch Landers get a bonus to let Excel this is great laboring is not very good armor Smith weapon Smith they get a racial XP bonus - I really like sports Landers alright guys I think that was a really good beginning episode so we're still alive and this lone Wolf's theories
