Jaiden and I entered a Smash tournament

believe it or not i entered a smash tournament with jaden who doesn't really play smash at all you might think that this is a disadvantage but 50 of our competition has never even touched the game in this tournament seven top players were paired with a random content creator and then you had to fight everybody else so you might be wondering alpharad why would you be labeled as a top player that is a damn good question so as soon as the vip loses their stocks the match ends and the other team wins i know i'm only like the eighth best player here but at least i was the best when it comes to mental warfare since everyone's going to be focusing jaiden wouldn't that be a little harder if there were two jaidens and our first unfortunate opponents were top player wadi and captain kid what oh but yeah okay so i'm the top player and he's in the same tiers people who just purchased the game well this should be fun perfect okay [Applause] oh i killed him nice all right i'm coming back oh oh yeah just go high you're good and use that to get through him yeah just run you got it [Applause] all right i got him oh and we killed rob that doesn't matter but it's good to know oh yeah you have to run on your own i don't know that's useless that's so bad i'm so sorry like way over here yeah just brayden's like close to dying and i so am i i'm at three stocks actually i'm i'm i might run out ah you killing the top players i don't know the one that didn't matter oh oh yeah they're trying to bully me now yeah they're winning yeah they're just gonna camp down okay so that wasn't fun and now it's awkward our next match was against boyd who has locked thousands of hours alongside aru who has logged one they don't have this the name strategy oh this is abstracting well i i've already figured out like some of aru's habits so um i think i think now because she jumps here well boys picked up that i picked up it was about here when i realized that this format is shockingly difficult destroying bad players is easy i mean sure it's what my entire channel is built off of but it's definitely a little bit harder when you have one of the best players in the world who's trying to prove that they're not against murder that was the opposite of what we want i think voice figured it out somehow oh oh nice you killed boyd you've killed more top players than i have oh i got it oh no i didn't do that oh i'm in it don't worry [Applause] uh well i just wanted an even game what can i say yeah we did it one win under our collective belt was enough to give us hope if we can stay undefeated it's possible for us to make its finals but first we had to combat aaron and grand poo bear okay okay i've already i i understand his habits now aaron aaron's trying to play double duty now oh it's okay we got him oh watch out he's he can kill you here yeah yeah he comes smash oh hello that's a kill though got him oh huge huge he killed his own teammate oh i'm gonna t back for that one he's a fool he's a fool he feels bad he feels dumb he feels like a big stupid idiot so they he has one stock left so uh just be cool for a little bit yeah only only a fridge oh nice oh and that's it you might notice that we're playing on fun stages and that's because i've been negotiating with each team to try to make the bracket just a bit more fun but of course that eventually had to end so here we are on the tournament legal stage against youngling and sonic awesome gallup was doing an incredible job of stock tanking but at the end of the day it doesn't matter as long as young link dies but this sonic would not give you a single chance to kill the tiny little elf boy so it was all up to my partner jaden and for the first time in her life jaden won a coin flip oh my god oh my god so i guess that's what happens when you refuse to play on a fun stick despite multiple wins our same name gimmick really wasn't as effective as hope so we decided to improve it against rubber ross and larry ler i mean of course the vip would sit back and hide so we decided to throw him off by having jaden approach just for a little bit and for the rest of the game neither of them knew which to hit but yeah i think they figured it out oh i got larry you guys the stick is in the way oh oh no i'm so sorry but ross is actually like such a simple game plan where it's like very very simple for me to cheese them [Music] yeah like that larry just keeps falling in front of my f's matches [Applause] oh i thought you got me i thought so too i i don't think this is possible actually i i have to cheese ross in now which oh it's so sad cuz like ross definitely had like a few moments where like i could have killed him and then i choked out oh no this loss realistically knocked us out of the tournament but we still had uh a chance so while we waited for our final match to determine our fate jaden and i turned smash into a turn-based rpg and believe it or not my life was better our final match was against yani a phenomenal steve player in trihex a content creator who is way too good for this tournament honestly steve's probably going to touch you and you might just die but i hear i i think uh yeah you just approach you just approach i can't wait to get bounced oh i killed yanny oh he got him all right i got him with hamster man get a nice crit [Music] got him you got him nice i'm doing pretty well yeah i i do think they're confused i do think they're hard focusing me though based on how they're playing i can already tell everyone they might be the better players but they have absolutely no idea which one they need a hit with both of us on our last stock this should be an easy win for them but they have still yet to figure out our ultimate gimmick oh i got him i got him i i think they were thoroughly confused the entire game because because i had one stock and they were hard focusing you yes they said was jaden player two yes sir now it's time for the tournament finals where there was a fun surprise waiting for everyone a three-way tie for second place unfortunately they were prepared for this a three-person free-for-all with jaden ross and trihex an actual smash player so i told jaden to team up with ross and just like that i got to watch the absolute worst game of smash i have ever seen vip my ass there you go now you just run into him go hit me oh no i just like spit him out it deals damage if you do that ross one of you should run grab him then the other dude smash that oh hit them that works that's sure oh this should make them realize how wrong they were then yeah yeah right that's right vip yeah no tonight good sizzle good sizzle you can handle it who knows oh huge yeah i think i think she can oh i wish he fell through that bridge and just come over to me because he has to come to us all right he's got protection oh that would have been huge that would have been so huge yeah oh jane going a little crazy ross ross no oh he pushed on ross oh he's back yeah you're alive but barely that was so sad you guys have 10 seconds left you got you guys got to make something happen no no no you're alive wait jaden run away for five seconds run away run away oh that's a win that's a win as far as i'm aware oh wait are they playing sudden death oh they're playing sudden death out oh damn be careful oh you have to approach oh sadly this story does not have a happy ending the two smash content creators won it all while little old me was designated as the worst top player in smash history with nothing left to do in this tournament i decided to lean into my top player role in the only way i knew how by complaining about the tournament on twitter
