I Bought a RIOTER'S Storage Unit! I Bought an Abandoned Storage Unit That Belonged To A RIOTER

this dude was probably arrested and lost his unit because he was arrested for rioting in sacramento [Music] we just bought a storage unit that's about as much of a gamble as you could possibly take i'm super excited but super nervous at the same time this one is about as much of a coin flip as you can really find out here let's hope that today luck's on our side let's get on the road and let's go get it [Music] so we're gonna have to do this storage unit a little bit differently the unit right next door the guy just wanted an auction too so he's got a ton of crap to go through so we just packed it up in the back seat in the trunk it's only five boxes but when we get home we'll go through it that way instead of trying to you know you're not gonna be able to hear us over him moving stuff so quality we gotta take it home and do it that way let's get home let's see what we got so sorry we gotta do this one a little bit differently but you know what i don't think just walking up to somebody and saying hey shut up and let me record for 20 minutes would have been the lightest approach so i figured we'd do it at home the way i gotta worry about being interrupted or anything like that so the reason we've been on the unit is because all you see is boxes stacked up and as you can see in the picture there's just nothing but shoeboxes at the top so my thought is what if these boxes are loaded with nothing but shoes so well let's take that what did i just say swole so let's take the game walnut and hoping the shoes are in there of course the other side of that coin is this is all cardboard boxes and this is junk but i can tell you i moved them they're not empty i swear to you i haven't looked at anything yet though so are you ready let's see what we got i think it's the first time i've ever done an unboxing in our garage do you think so yes so the shoeboxes were on top of everything first let's open the shoebox at first that's definitely not shoes that's heavy this is okay it is shoes but they're what are they they're very used and abused new balances not good what is this for oh look my favorite right off the back look at that sacramento superior court jail commitment yeah and it's got its name and everything on it hundred he served 180 days last year all right so that should be interesting we'll definitely do some research on this guy and i'll tell him what kind of background you can have i don't want to get too close it's all personal stuff who cares we'll try our best here this is what sacramento services in home services just papers papers there's another hole that's a whole stack of jail papers look at this stuff man what did you do this is sheriff's department a rest warrant this one's from 2019. um look at this one civil harassment restraining order on this one and then this one is this is the court hearing from last year all right that's that's fun so a bunch of very bad paperwork what's going in this box oh my gosh why is this nike box so heavy whoa what kind of weird stuff do we have in here well they're not shoes we figured that much out what is maze speed i've never heard of it one phone maybe it looks like it might have been a phone at one point kind of chargers out no that looks like the ones that go to cameras unfortunately so there's not going to be much use to us right there what's in here though what do you think that could be i don't know it looks weird it does oh it's a blood pressure thing a blood pressure thingy and it works joy so that that sounds so like the echo in here so strong every time i drop something it sounds like it's just boom there's more paperwork and more paperwork and more paperwork god this is from the sheriff's department again like what did you do man so we have like a lifelong criminal here it seems like this is more paperwork and let's take a guess where these envelopes came from let's play the game sacramento county police department oh look at that okay that one's life insurance that's a phone bill police department and sacramento county department of child support all right this is a really personal box this is the other scary part of buying units with shoe boxes shoe boxes usually have one or two things in them shoes or paper and so far it looks like paper this one's lighter and look what i see hey they actually have some jordans in them but they look weird they do look weird and the bottoms they're definitely worn they're not gonna be worth a whole lot i wouldn't think but we'll see so we do have one pair of shoes that are all of one pair i guess let's pull out one of these boxes right here let's pull this one over here and let's start going through it let's see what else we can pull out of it oh i see clothes that doesn't mean there's nothing buried in the clothes that doesn't mean that right stay optimistic what kind of stuff you got on buddy let me see if you got anything i would like so you got some shorts you got anything in your pockets right you never know empty and come on something empty oh we've got pocket in the back that's empty okay shorts we'll check all the pockets later on i also see something interesting that sticks out for some reason what kind of jeans are these switched doesn't it look like it should be expensive it looks like it these are jeans shorts it looks like the rock revival and true religion jeans are fine yeah those are usually more expensive so let's get the clothes out of here what is that a knee pad or a bra a knee pad oh i found a jersey who do you think it's going to be jordan no it's all-star jersey james oh that's lebron whether you love him or hate him right now his name is definitely really relevant right now so i mean i don't want to keep it but it's a good sale i thought it will sell for quite a bit it has a little nike patch too is it a little smokehole but somebody will still buy because it's lebron i said lebron's one of those people that no matter what you feel about him you feel strongly about him so that's what matters his name is relevant let's see we got more clothes more clothes more clothes and more clothes no clothes oh okay well that box the bus besides the jersey let's pull this one over let's do this let's do it in the order we would have done it if we had actually gone in the unit oh i've seen more shoe boxes in there i like that and i'm seeing oh i got you presents look oh i see an apple box too for you your favorite you know what since our hangers are black i'm actually keeping these oh i thought they're gonna get slammed one can be sacrified okay i just had to be a california hat snapback uh oh god look what they did to the tip poor hat what do we got in here what is this a foot brace you look like it all right moment of truth oh that's got a lot of weight to it a lot that's an iphone 6s there's got to be something in here let's see nothing no phone that's what i look it's got the headphones in there brand new they never made it open in the charging brick so that's probably worth a little some something there because it's apple you know i mean if i took a dog trying to stamp the apple logo on it you got people lining up at midnight to buy it so you don't know what kind of jacket do they got here hey it's swiss swiss tech swiss is decent the only problem is we're in california and when do you ever need one of these ever do you think you ever need a coat i don't think so i don't think you barely ever need a jacket but that's what the internet's for more clothes more clothes more clothes get out of here clothes all right it's just a jersey or shorts these are shorts boring dirty shorts very dirty okay so it looks like down here at the bottom we have even more paperwork rick warren's book everyone knows what sometimes worth so much money like versace and gucci like you look at them you're like oh who would wear that they're so ugly but then they're worth like hundreds sometimes even a thousand dollars this is just a weekender but you know people are just more about i need to feel empowered so they buy super expensive clothes is this another jersey no what is that okay it's a golden state jacket resellable actually hey they don't expire until january 2021 i don't know if these are actually for something that's required for you need a prescription for which would make it obviously illegal to sell or if it's something you get over the counter with resale value you have to look that up let's see what's under this towel some kind of shoes oh i might have a few pairs so these rail chucks actually no these are polo they're not even chuck that's not good let's pull out these orion adidas these don't look like they're in that bad shape though they're just like they got some grime on they'll come off with like a wipe not too bad what are these something's in there money boom we got a dime we got it done but these are actually jordans look they're probably i've seen a lot of jordans i gotta say these might be the ugliest ones they're not good looking between those and the very first pair they're like oh we got a contender but these are nikes not jordans those look better they're clean yeah at least they're in decent shape but they're air max as it says on the tongue so a little something a little something oh boy what do we got in here bag of pills huh pills navy cables this all pills really that is all pills so we're not going to mess with that and in here we have paperwork and papers my favorite that more discharge from jail which one i got out all right and this is oh come here last little thing in there transplant advanced heart therapy all right medical notebook and suitor health well i gotta say that's not what i was expecting right there this is probably going to be our junkie pile we'll just donate the clothes of course but literally from the first look through this looks like about all we're keeping so far so i don't think it was a good one let's do a little bit of research on this guy see if we can find out and then do a little bit more in-depth search see if there's anything hidden that we missed all right now that it's been a while i got some crazy back story but first let me tell you why you spend an hour searching through every little pocket because sometimes you can find 11 you know what that's like a little over minimum wage an hour you know what i'm proud if you don't if you don't include the fact that we spent 110 dollars on the unit take that out of there i just found 11 in about an hour searching but the interesting thing about this the back story so let me get into this let's start with the stuff we found so you know we found the arrest papers lots of them so we started looking up a little what are they called codes or whatever to see what they were guilty of and the first one we find for 2018 is felony assault so right there i know we have a douche nozzle we have a very very bad guy and as we continued looking do you remember any of the other ones um i know it was assault deadly weapon with intent to hurt yeah i mean i don't know how you install somebody with a deadly weapon not intending to hurt them well okay don't suffer well it said like great bottling yeah it's just like that okay so he had a history of violent crimes so what do you think i'm gonna do i go and i look up his name and look at more current things and see that he was arrested this year may 30th 2020 which lines up to probably while they lost this unit because they've been in jail for just about three months but then i started doing further research on the 30th of may is when major major i think it was like 120 arrests for me in sacramento due to the rioting and the looting after george floyd so i was like did we get one of these psychopaths freaking unit so then i punched his name in one of my little i'm not going to tell you which one but there's databases out there you could pay a little monthly fee and you could type in somebody's first last name county and you can see what they did sure enough two counts of assault and break and entering so most likely 99.9 percent chance unless unless he just happened to be committing the same exact crimes the rioters committed in the same exact city and being arrested at the same exact time which come on not be logical it's not very likely to happen this dude was probably arrested and lost his unit because he was arrested for rioting in sacramento that's kind of crazy i'm kind of glad i didn't find like a bunch of stolen merchandise in here that would have been a really weird situation but i thought it was a kind of interesting story everything i don't want is going to be donated i don't think we're making much money in this unit if any but you know
