i have eczema some of you are just starting to realize that you know in general i can see when some of you put the pieces together because you'll leave me really encouraging comments like hey yo what the [ __ ] is up with your neck which is awesome it takes me right back to you know junior high and being a kid having eczema is annoying you know i've said this before you're pretty much you know you're a reptile you're basically a snake you shed layers and your skin is so brittle you have to stay in perfectly temperate environments to deal with it it's very annoying basically what happens is as soon as you close your eyes your hands become possessed and they have the tenacity of a nine-year-old trying to unwrap a present on their birthday and that present is your flesh eczema can mess with your head especially in your formative years you know for me i was afraid to be intimate because of eczema i was terrified that i was going to take my shirt off and a woman is going to go hey why let's get into some extreme eczema that's literally what it says extreme eczema i watched the first 20 seconds of this and i didn't know eczema could be this funny just just watch imagine waking up act like you crawled out of a swamp danny's had severe eczema for the last 20 years i get severe eczema all over my body i just love this ted bundy murder doc style editing on eczema they posted each one of his body parts like a victim of his own hands about six weeks ago he had one of the worst flare-ups he's ever had i was covered i'm talking about from head to toe his skin becomes so inflamed he looks like he's been a fire victim i should have laughed she just she literally just roasted his skin becomes so inflamed i couldn't tell where his face ended and his ball sack began i take and i can just peel sheets of skin off my face it'll be literally just that see look at some of you look at some of you ah ew yeah two seconds ago i said nobody gets empathy for eczema look what you guys do i feel for this man you know it's like he's going in for the first hour of special effects makeup for the walking dead this condition absolutely sucks it'll be literally just peeling back i wouldn't wish it on anybody i just laid my hands on me pray for this cut right here do you think they made him reenact eczema like do you think they pulled him in his bathroom they're like yo man now just pretend you're itchy right now and he's like oh yeah cool yeah i wasn't thinking about it but now that you said something i'm kind of itching out so thanks for that hardest part for me is watching his mental state deteriorate he's lost hope you see how anyone would struggle to even empathize with this guy because the editing just makes it seem like the boogeyman is living inside of him like that's mean to you if you could could find a way to fix this danny it would mean that i could wear a white t-shirt doc that's what it would mean it'd mean that i could wear a black t-shirt and stop having to clarify to people no i don't have dandruff that's just the demon inside of me trying to peel the back of my head off that is one upside to eczema you know last year everyone learned what demon time was but for all of us with eczema we've been on demon time since birth and it would be great to be able to go to the beach or go fishing or you know do normal things live your life yes sir you know you may look at danny now and think well oh you know what he actually looks pretty good but the fact is this affects his entire body it may not be as predominant on his face right now but there's areas that you can't see why they gotta show the back of his thighs they've already got all these areas that they've referenced that are brutal like his face and they really just gotta humiliate him with the thighs too hey man it's under his butt too yup eczema doesn't just stop at the neck and eyes goes to your butt sounds like when this flares it flares in a really dramatic and severe way it actually has a term it's called erythroderma and that's when your whole body is red and inflamed but the thing is different things can cause that one thing to describe what's going on he is at the same time i answer myself we're in sync man our eczema periods are linked up eczema boys i feel like there's something so painful about having to go through this process as him he's talking to this tv show host and he goes to see his doctor and they both have flawless skin skin looking like a starburst just solid and tight just wow danny that must suck to have that [ __ ] up skin one of the things i think might be really useful actually is to do a couple of blood tests just to make sure we're not missing anything okay come on i told noah to take it out but they really just went to like an action shot of drawing blood today danny went to the doctor's office and got his blood drawn that's it number four check out this dunk at villanova it sounds really like you've been treated for the symptoms over and over but it's not a hundred percent clear what the cause is so hopefully some of these tests will help us figure that out okay so this right here the video's about to end but this right here hits on probably the most annoying part about eczema is there is not one definitive treatment it's this whack-a-mole experience sometimes for people it's food other times it's some soap they use and it gets so exhausting that sometimes you find you've been using something for years that was making it worse but you're so burnt out on trying to fix it that you just just give up on that last year i was getting eczema so brutal on my face that i started using like a lot of mild like steroid creams and when i stopped i got this red patch on my chin and it was cause my skin i guess was like going through withdrawals i bet you didn't know that within your own body you thought it was only you that could be an addict nope your skin too your skin could feed for that let me get that hydrocortisone one more time bro please bro after this i'm gonna i'm gonna kick it i'm gonna kick the cream just let me have one more please please just feel so cool and refreshing dude please even as i watch this i just get weird flashbacks as a teenager i remember i used to just try to ride it out at school i tried i put on that one layer of lotion when i left the house i tried to ride that out the whole day you know in the la summer heat just trying to pretend like i wasn't literally burning inside like a dog i try to lick my own wounds you know i try to and just put a little like my inside elbow as a stamp just because it was either that or be a school and get caught with a bottle of lotion in my backpack you want to be 14 trying to explain to another 14 year old you got eczema that's why you got a bottle of lotion in school no one's buying that pull out a tube of avino and be like no no it's cause i got the eczema and they're like yeah you can write about your arms like that cause you keep jacking off at school that's why you got that rash bro dude i bet your [ __ ] looks like that getting bullied for having eczema is actually a really crucial part to having it matter of fact it's so important that dr phil actually took a head-on with a rep from pfizer yeah look at this my youngest son xander is a very spunky energetic boy he suffers from a skin condition called eczema he started to get these red patches on his cheeks it again again the editing they make him seem like he's like the spawn of satan which he is because you know my boy's on demon time xander loves swimming but that's when kids will notice his eczema because they can see it on his legs or oh [ __ ] i don't even know this kid but i know he's getting it first of all as soon as he's coming out the pool this dude looking like a soul calibur unlocked character every kid in the pool like oh what the [ __ ] having mom i don't want to be on the swim team anymore if that's what i'm gonna look like you can't even really get in a fight as a kid when you have eczema because you can't keep your hands in one place you might put your hands up to fight but the back your head is itching and i'll tell you who's gonna win first is the eczema and then it's the bully because you put your hands up like this and then just that heat back there just and you get that moment of relief like ah back to the and you're out today he's for the most part a very happy friendly kid who just loves living life but children and adults don't understand his skin condition i like how they blurred his face to protect his about eczema is it contagious uh yeah i was like seven eight years old knowing that it wasn't contagious and adults just didn't believe me they thought i was lying somehow the most common type is atopic dermatitis and it affects about 13 of children under the age of 18. 13 17 now about half of them will outgrow the disease or will develop a milder form as they grow into adulthood you know who didn't you know who didn't grow out of it yeah yeah listen if you got a reptile friend or maybe you grew up with a reptile friend who you're not realizing has this condition or maybe you're on the other side maybe you used to bully someone like me you used to bully a reptile person if you carry some kind of guilt after watching today's video you can make it up to that eczema person you know
