How Tough is an Up-Armored Humvee Windshield?

hope that's okay with you guys just kidding I'm just kids a regular just looking through some homie glass this is out of an armored Humvee it's a windshield and very thick so we actually got this from a fan he works at a base and they actually had to retire this thing because it's old and it just started getting cloudy has visibility issues as you can see this thing here it obviously very thick I'm hitting with my ring giant thick windshield it is probably three inches thick of bulletproof glass and I have no idea what it will stop but I intend to find out let me show you what we got over here this is a table full of the kel-tec collection here so I mean it's pretty awesome looking we're just gonna start small first with the CP 33 this thing is a pretty neat gun it's made for competitions it's chambered in 22 long-rifle and it has a quad stacked magazine with 33 rounds in it so I'm just gonna point a little bit with it first and then we will take a shot 22 long-rifle to that glass which we know it's gonna stop it okay this also has fiber optic sights on the top we're gonna just take one shot now at the bulletproof glass and I would bet it doesn't do anything to it check it out actually more damage than I thought I would do crack that top layer I can feel it right there can't really feel into this I think we need to go a little bit bigger so before we do that I wanted to put the switch back on there it's like a really short 22 long-rifle suppressor so we actually hardly ever shoot 22 Magnum but this is a 22 long rifle compared to that 22 Magnum you can see there's a lot more powder behind that thing what's going faster so we have a PMR 30 here which is chambered in 22 Magnum fiber optic sights on that as well we are going to fire a few rounds and then we will shoot at the bulletproof glass all right we're gonna fire one at the humvee glass now two to long-rifle which one is which I don't remember either way you can actually see that it just cracked like the first layer of this glass and that's it hidden all the same spot no damage let's get a bigger caliber next we have the kel-tec sub mm this is actually one of their first gins this one is one of my buddy's he's had it for a really long time and what's cool about this gun is it folds in half and obviously gets really small and this one takes Glock mags so right now we have a regular Glock mine again but you also can put in the big 18 Glock 18 33 round magazines so we're going to shoot a few and then we will hit that Humvee glass all right through that in pretty much the same location that was the first hit that was the second and there's the nine-millimeter did this one definitely did the most damage starting to knock out some of the glass we got glass on the table now but looks like it's still only going through the first layer so this Humvee window definitely will stop pistol rounds but we can still go higher hey guys this is ASG 25 oh I got that one full it's the KSC 25 because it holds 25 shotgun shells so the KSG has been out for a while and this thing is just the longer version of it it's a pump-action shotgun it has one barrel and two mag tubes and pulls 25 rounds so 12 in each tube and one in the chamber I'm loading it up with some birdshot right now I actually have never fired this gun before it is brand new and we're gonna have to cut because it's getting boring quick I have it totally load in the chamber okay [Applause] yeah this is a 50 BMG what do they call a tracer Sabo so it's just a 50 BMG round a tracer round if they put inside a shotgun shell that definitely bounced off the glass and came back here is our 12 gauge slug right here might have even got through to the next layer it's hard to tell definitely more damage than the 9 millimeter here is our 50 Cal it hits sideways so it looks like the back was here and the front was there any kind of went boom and it flew off this way hit a barrel and bounced off and hit something metal we can hear a ding 12-gauge shotgun not getting through this even with the vulture epic 50 BMG tracer saber rounds this is the kel-tec su 16 see I've actually had this gun for I don't know five years I've had it for a really long time I like it because it is a it's a rifle but it folds up so it's super compact very lightweight it's good for car trips and stuff they actually came out with a gun that I kind of put in the same category because it is chambered in five five six it takes ar-15 magazines and it's very small in compact this is called the RDB survival and so you can see it takes that same magazine but this one is compact because it is a bullpup so when it's fully extended this is besides a rifle this one is still really small but you can see you know for traveling they're very similar in size and weight but this is the RDB survival and I am going to fire a few rounds rather side charging handle up here that locks open and you can swap it down let's just see what we can do with there I have a little pin round mag in it right now definitely got hit with a little bit glass there there's our hit knocked out looks like the first couple layers so the glass a lot of times has this like spongy layer in between so we knocked all this hard glass off like a couple layers worth we're down to the spongy layer and then it got stopped on the next hard layer back behind it I think the cracks made it to layer right on the other side of this back glass but has not made it through yet which unfortunate for you guys means we're gonna have to get a bigger gun out here next we are shooting the kel-tec rfb this is a bullpup chambered in 308 takes FAL magazines we're gonna shoot just some targets first interesting kicks out the shells out of the front right here so the spent shell is just going to fall out of the front this is actually just one of my old foul mags let's see those little swingers over there I'm really feeling confident that this is not going to break the glass I'm gonna shoot three times nothing went through that actually made a huge hole geez need a big ol hole bunch of powdered stuff there I think yeah those two went like the exact same spot here is the other one right here and yeah nothing went through check out the back of this thing that was close putting those two on top it's actually bulbs a little bit putting those two on top it got really close this thing sounds a lot less solid this one got closed as well but nothing made it through I'm just gonna shoot until I make it through I also may or may not have put a special round in here dang it so I put a bunch of cans behind there so we'd see when we actually made it through it currently one hit nothing all down all right what'd you shoot through it one of those rounds was an armor-piercing incendiary so something that it flew this thing got to it oh yeah we made it through pouring up shards of glass that's cool we are gonna do a 50 BMG and we have a new windshield we have a fresh Humvee windshield over there that we actually had two of them that one is off a tan one we are gonna shoot a regular Full Metal Jacket 50 BMG at the left side of that target and see if it goes through definitely knocked it over oh it's so close it did not go through we put some shaving cream and a Sam's Cola behind it and they all got kind of hit but not by a bullet I don't think it stopped it crazy so totally stopped but so close we're gonna put this thing back up on the table and shoot another around a little bit more powerful round at it and I bet it's gonna go straight through it the right side of that target is not even hit yet so we're gonna shoot this this is a black tip it's an armor-piercing just to be cheap and after seeing that I am pretty confident that's going straight through it there we go oh yeah I'm pretty confident that went through because I saw the water bottle or the 2-liter explode back behind here oh yeah also push the glass out big time right here so that's just a really like flexible layer on the back so it has all the hard layers in the front to break up that bullet some spongy layers in the middle probably just hold the shoots apart and then this real soft flexible layer here probably to try to catch all the pieces of glass and bullets but that little armor penetrating just went straight through big bulbs there the front looks exactly the same really I mean compared to and that's that plastic layer it's just full of powdered glass in there now but it looks just like this from the front side but that penetrator tip made all the
