How To UPDATE Your Palworld Dedicated Server

in this video we're going to cover how to update your power World server today is January 25th 2024 and we are at our first patch power world updates the server updates so today I'm going to show you how to do it theoretically it should do it automatically but there is some people that'll probably break for so I'm making this video to uh cover those issues now the first thing we're going to want to do go to Power dedicated server manage browse local files we are going going to back up our save file when you're in your server file hit pal here's your Sav saved uh we're going to go to save games and we're just actually going to copy the save games folder put it on your desktop this is just in case um the server corrupts which is possible because po world isn't really the most stable thing when it comes to server management I've done a lot of troubleshooting with people in my last video so hopefully all you have to do is power world dedicated server should receive an update on Steam like power world did this morning manage downloads just download the newest version and you should theoretically be ready to go you should be able to just start the server up mine starts up but there is going to be some instances where people have problems where you are not going to be able to connect properly so I'm going to show you the way I'm going to troubleshoot it hopefully you don't need this step but we're going to do it anyway this is going to be a continuation of my previous video on servers for power world so we're going to go to steam CMD which you should have downloaded in order to install power world if you're seeing this video before you see my other tutorial on how to set up a power World server there's an embedded link and it's in the description below so we're going to do what we did originally on my first tutorial we're going to open Steam CMD we're going to type in log on Anonymous should bring us into steam public there we go then copy paste this over here app update 23941 0 validate and this should update the server as well if the server did not update properly which is very possible so it's fully installed we are going to turn the server on okay mine's on we are going to launch po World join multiplayer this number right here is your default landan connection you need your IP address in order for your friends to connect but for the sake of this tutorial we're going to make this quick we're going to just connect and make sure the server starts up I spawned into the server everything seems to be going fine the update was successful I lost my save file a couple days ago messing with the inii settings so it's very important that you back up your save file so you don't lose everything they'll make the mistake I made there are still bugs going around in power world right now for servers with connection issues the power world devs are addressing these issues hopefully soon everything will be fixed and everybody can play power world together if you're having server issues leave them in the comments below I'll try to get to as many people as I can I would love it if you liked and subscribed I will be doing more power world content live streams and I'll also be doing other games as well for right now it's going to be a lot of power world have a great day and enjoy playing power world
