Glock 19 VS 48

what's up guys steve here with scotch and things hey quick video for you um just want to get your thoughts on it and what my thoughts are on glock 19 verse glock 48 and is the thing is kind of dirty um is this is the glock 19 still the most you know badass glock out there now that the 48's here this is a gen 3. uh absolutely my favorite glock ever is my gen 3 glock 19. i've got a gen 419 and a gen 5 19 i had a gen 519 but i traded it for this which it's loaded i've been carrying this we're gonna clear clear for all you babies out there um i've been carrying this since march every day um since i got rid of my my gen five and why same um same sight radius as the 19 same really it's the same footprint you know same grip length basically it's like a skinny version of a glock 19 all right 15 plus one 10 plus one well that's a big difference that was i wasn't going to do it until bang these guys came out right here shield arms came out with a magazine for the 48 and 43 x that is a 15 plus one all right how awesome is that 15 plus one for your glock that makes this little skinny guy right here the same as this now so basically we're talking the same size gun except width well on a 19 you get a pretty good purchase here okay um feels good in the hand 19 man it feels it feels really good in the hand too even though it's a skinny skinny slim gun i can get my hand around there and i feel like i can get a very good purchase on it um hold on let me get some more bullets here so i was against two three four five i was against i wasn't against it when i held the 48 and the 43x for the first time i really loved oops sorry i really loved how they felt um but i was big on capacity why would i why would i want to go from because i'd carried the 19 for about three years um you know slipping in a 26 or my 43 uh here there well once this was an option with the 15 round mag i was like hallelujah so there are um so then it became a no-brainer then it was like well i've got a glock 19 just skinnier with the same capacity as long as i'm carrying the shield or mag i haven't got to test these yet i know i've had these things for like three months and i've just been so busy i just haven't had time to test them yet i've still been carrying it with um the 10 round mag and a backup mag i just haven't had around a chance to uh test these yet right now we're gonna test real quick to see people been complaining about that it's hard to get 15 rounds in here so we're going to test that real quick on camera so here's 15 rounds actually it's 15 plus one so we're going to count off and see all right first time i've never loaded this before one two three [Music] four five six seven eight eight nine maybe what the heck's going here nine ten maybe i'm gonna need to get my little teeter 11 12 13 14 and they say that last one's going to be a real bear and i believe them i can't get that down so there's 14. they say it loosens up hold on there's a 48 with my a little cheater they say it loosens up after a while leave them loaded i just wanted to kind of do this on camera to show you guys even though this isn't the test of the 50 there we go there's 15. but it being about a boom another thing they say then so there you go it's loaded mine oh there we go it's not really dropping free it kind of it's sticking a little bit they say you know wrap some painters tape around there heat your gun up i'm not gonna i'm not gonna do that right now but so it's not really drop free when you have let's open this one up andrew xm18 great knife um that when they're loaded that makes the magazine swell a little bit but see here's a brand new and it drops no it's not right now maybe i jacked something up it's not really dropping free anymore and you need to obviously change the magazine catchers the oem one oh look at that baby shoot out there it's still it still drops free um they say that you need to change and i do have it somewhere around here which i'll install when i get a chance loaded see how hard to just drop that one more in there now you know once you've done it there that was easy so i don't i don't think it's an issue yeah it's kind of tight but whatever fits in the holster a little bit heavier um honestly now i i love the 19 i'm sorry i've been kind of rambling and doing some stuff here right now but you got to think about if you carry 19 and now this is an option why why why wouldn't you why wouldn't you carry this anymore uh why wouldn't you carry the 48 right here with the shield arms magazine drop that round out clear clear um with the shield arms i've got the 19 capacity i've got a 19. let's just call this a 19. running the shield arms magazine this is a glock 19. it's got the glock 19 capacity except it is skinnier now some people might say well god you need a combat you're not a man unless you carry a combat handgun yeah i get that i get that one of the chances of me actually getting into a situation where i'm going to need my 19 and i'm so low on magazines that thank god this guy over here laying on the ground i can use his spare 19 or 17 magazines not gonna happen for self defense i think this glock 48 with the s15 mags is is perfectly legit am i still going to carry my 19 yeah from time to time uh i haven't since march though um i've just been shooting him well in competitions well i haven't done that because competitions have been cancelled um i don't know it's made me rethink my carry systems and what i can get away with because also i haven't done it yet but i've got a 43 so i can make this a 43x a 43 length gun that carries the same amount of bullets as my 19. it's really a game changer these s15 mags are a complete game changer in the carry world in your edc world that's my opinion i haven't tested mine yet well i yes i have to get out and do that but from what i've seen everybody that's running them apart from a couple guys has zero issues so i don't know what to tell you i think it's game changer um i don't know i will because i love it i'll never get rid of this gun will i edc a glock 19 still yeah yeah people always and the glock 19 it didn't matter it was summer or winter that was my edc let me tell you i just got done with a two week vacation and i carried this gun every single day in shorts and it was effortless okay it was effortless i'd never had to worry about printing um it was awesome with this and shorts and just t-shirts just t-shirts uh it's not like it was like this is an easy gun to conceal but in the summertime i always had to think about it winter time was awesome because i usually had a hoodie on that's different with this now like i said two week vacation super hot out just shorts and t-shirts every day and that's what i carried every single day and not one single issue not a single issue printing um with these s50 even you know what let's backtrack even without the s15 mags even with just the 10 round mags and i had a 10 round back up it was still my choice over that uh because it had that 19 sight radius it has that 19 feel even though the 19 gosh it's chunky but just feels good this it it feels yeah it's slimmer but it feels the same to me and i shoot it great so we'll do some long term reviews on this i will i promise guys i will get some rounds through these stupid magazines i'll be the last one on youtube to do it there's my rant glock 19 verse glock 48. did this gun you know make this thing glock's most power most powerful most popular pistol irrelevant to me no i will still carry it there is there is a place in my heart always for the glock 19 but you know unless you know you're going to come into combat man here is i mean the glock 43 or 43 x if you want is where it's at i just like the longer sight radius and i haven't um i haven't tried my 43 slide on there yet i know it works i know people have done it i haven't done it but uh game changer guys let me know what you guys think i'll get some rounds through these stupid magazines here pretty soon and maybe do another compare video but i mean favorite glock love it um but this is maybe a more useful block a more everyday friendly glock you don't have to be the super tactical guy oh yeah what do you carry and that's kind of where i had gone from i'd gone from carrying a 43 i'm gonna put this thing away when i first got my ccw uh it was the 43 went to the 26 and then went to the 19 because i was like yeah i can edc uh uh i block 19. i'm cool guy tough well i i did that because it was cool guy tough and also because glock 19 was my favorite gun i shot at the best out of all the glocks until this came out i shot this thing as a nail driver and yeah 10 rounds kind of a bummer 15 rounds out of these s15 mags game changer um all right there you go
