Glock 26 VS Glock 48

hey guys steve here with scott some things what is going on sorry I haven't posted a video for a while spent busy with work crazy stuff going on in the world right now is everybody knows so when I am home much time to do stuff other than just kind of help the wife with the kiddies who are usually in school still so you know trying to keep them busy and stuff like that I'm sure you guys all understand but today we are going to be looking at the Glock 48 versus the Glock 26 so both in their stock hold on one second in their stock configuration or a ten plus one gun except right now as you can see I'm running a 12 round om Glock mag in the 26 but and soon coming up you know I have her view on these 15 around shield arm magazines for the fourth 48 but here we go stock for stock take them out and we will clear them because you people are all not all say everybody but you wouldn't believe the stupid comments I get like I'm going to shoot one of the audience members so they are clear 26 is clear put the magazine in round over there holster clear clear you wouldn't believe I mean I've come in and out before but the stupid comments people seem that they feel they need to make about being safe guess what it's my house these are my guns I know if they're safe or not I've said it before I'll say it again just stupid but here we go - so here's a stock 10 round 26 mag kind of chunky and here's an OEM stock 48 mag so here's the shield arm mag obviously it doesn't have the Palmer sleeve that's why they're able to get 15 rounds but and then the 26 the factory Glock mag 12 rounder has this little extension on there kind of cool but stock for stock if you buy the guns they come ten rounds two completely different guns I love both of them um that's why don't get me wrong like I carry this gun a lot this 48 though has taken over my EDC my um you know my everyday carry over my Glock 19 y same size basically same sight radius same amount of hand on the grip and because I'm going to there the 15 round magazines it's gonna be the same as a 19 but we're not talking about that right now we're talking about a 26 and a 48 well you can see 26 is a chunky little guy there he's just a stubby chunky little guy but you can see where its benefits are it is shorter I'm not gonna get out you know the the ruler measure you guys have watch the videos you know so the 26 is shorter and it is shorter in the grip you can see right there shorter here shorter they're thicker here so it does give you you know it's a great gun to carry it's just such a small package for ten rounds and I shoot it I shoot this thing absolutely amazingly then you know this the 48 was out for a year I said like I said in my previous video before I decided to pick one up once the shield our magazines came out I thought that might be worth it a skinny 19 with the same capacity hmm I'll have to give that try and I did and I shot this thing and I shot this again amazing I shoot both of these guns even though they're completely different guns I that's one reason why I haven't got rid of 26 because I shoot it so well you know this is like a 19 my food it but you know I might even I might have even shot it left a look I might shoot this a little bit better than my 19 I don't know why I've got smaller hands and maybe I can get a better you know I can just get more more hand a more real estate on this gun to help control it more which seems weird that this is such as you know your finger hangs off on the 26 unless you've got the extension you know it's a it's a much harder gun I don't for some people I think because of that I don't think they know what to do with their pinky you know where was you know that that that's awesome but this kind of defeats the purpose you know if you're for concealing that makes it almost as long just seating the magazine and you've got that in look when you've got that 12 round mag in it's the same length basically so you're printing as much with that twelve round max ooh you're only gaining two rounds and you're printing as much as you would on this or a 19 actually not as much of this this thing is so slim it just kind of it really disappears on you know that's what's really the benefit on this gun is you know like I said you get that that same amount of grip as a 19 the sight radius of a 19 with the thinness of a 43 it just makes it really easy to carry this is really easy carry to like I said because I mean you don't have much here stabbing you because I pendeks carry so you know the muzzle is not digging into you when you sit down you don't have to worry about a whole lot of grip sticking out hanging out there to print so I mean honestly I think it's personal preference because I feel like I said I've carried since I started carrying I started with a 43 then I went to 26 then I'm 19 and then between those three I would carry just kind of mostly I mean I was I was proud I carry a 19 all the time and then like the 43 was just easy with sweatpants you know the 26 was a little bit harder in sweatpants because it is heavier so what you know I kind of said you know you need a decent belt with this I find just to help support the weight it's weird though this but this gun is definitely lighter than the 26 like I've been rocking this all day in this holster in sweat pants it's not ideal but I just snug them down tight and it's you know I can still draw from it and it's been great where this I just can't get away with it because it is a little bit heavier um the 26 it's still a viable option I did a video on it a year year and a half ago if this was still a viable carry option with all the choices out there and I think it is for me because I shoot it so well it's got its time and its place even though the same you know 10 rounds ten rounds I prefer the site radius and I prefer the feel of this um but I think the 26 it's an it's a toss-up I can't say that one feels better over the other you know I love how this feels but you know same they if I had to pick one that's why I have them both because I'm lucky enough that I don't have to pick one I get to pick both of them and even though this is my EDC I still keep this gun because I shoot it in competition because I shoot it that well I choose to shoot a 26 in competition believe it or not and I still carry it because it is such an awesome carry gun so you know that's that's a bonus in the world we live in today is choices you have options there's not just Glocks there's other guns that you have the choice and the option you can carry whatever you want don't don't listen to me I'm just giving you two options at 1:26 first 48 what would you choose and that's what I'm I I choose to this EDC this right now I might switch over to this in the future I do carry both like I said I shoot this one in competition I'm really excited to try these shield arm magazines and then definitely once I'm once I know these are reliable even though I've had these for over a month now with what's going on I just haven't had time to get out so I'm in no rush but man once I know that those are our percent reliable then definitely this 15 plus one over the 12 plus one then you know then it's no brainer 48 over this unless I really need to worry about printing and they need new that the shorter grip I don't know guys what do you think would you take a 48 or would you take a 26 I mean this 26 has a huge following people really love the Glock 26 and this the 48 is newer and people are really starting to dig this in the 43 X I prefer this over the 43 X just because of the site radius that's my personal preference but what's nice is this is basically the same length as a 43 43 X so it's it's just weird I mean Glock has so much stuff that kind of and your mingles and kind of kind of crosses over you know the the 43 and the 43 X are the same same length basically the same size as a 26 but the 26 is just thicker and holds more rounds until now if you have the 43 X then I think that really would be more of a comparison and maybe I'll do that in the future the 43 X versus the 26 right now these are the 210 round Glocks I have what would you choose what I do wish about the 48 is you can see this a texturing see how I don't know because they call it the slimline series or whatever but see how subdued that that patent that stippling pattern is compared to this where this really stands out I wish this had the same more raised up stippling pattern I think it's easier to hold I just it would give you better grip that's my only complaint right now about this I know I called this the 48 versus the 26 video I'd pick both of them and I'm lucky enough that I can pick both of them if you guys could only pick one Glock the 48 or the 26 let me know down below what you would pick and why is that the same reasons that I have said you know because this is basically a 19 just skinny here or that this is so small and for some people easy to shoot like honestly I I'm shooting this gun in competition better than my 34 believe or not for some reason I just over the last year that 34 is it's just battling me and I am honestly seizing this veteran competition and that's one of the reasons I keep it around so like share subscribe comment down below which one would you prefer or are you like me you have the ability to have
