80P Builder Zaffiri Precision P80 Builds

welcome back freedom protectors hey today we got a special video we're going to be covering some of mgb's uh personal collection and today i'm going to cover adp builder in zafri precision collaboration these are two companies out in our market that are very very popular and they have come together uh through collaborative efforts to bring us perfect first time quality builds okay uh now i have no affiliation with either company uh zafree no affiliation adp builder no affiliation polymer 80 no affiliation all right but they make first-time quality stuff i'm a huge fan i own all of those things uh and since we've finished our build series on polymer 80 i've been getting a lot of requests to go over my collection so i thought maybe you gained some inspiration if you need some more inspiration on marinegunbuilder.com i have a member gallery of hundreds and hundreds of member builds for you to go ahead and browse through get some ideas get some inspiration for your next build and of course if you have any questions just go over to the forum marinegunbuilder forum and uh you can ask away to thousands and thousands of members in our forum uh that have built all of these and much much more okay so what we're going to do is i'm going to probably work from smallest i think and we'll go to biggest okay so here is the pf9 ss this is the glock 43 by polymer 80. and this is zafri precision's glock 43 slide with their ported barrel so really quick let's just kind of go through it and then i'll talk a little bit about some options so we have some knurling in the back here and typically i don't like knurling because it's not always done correct okay and what i mean by that is you'll take you'll see a lot of knurled slides and you go to racket and you really don't have a good grip but zafri precision does a really good job here getting really deep and so when your fingers touch it you know you're exactly right where you need to be and it is very grippy and allows you to get a good rack so they did a really good job on this knurling that could be tough to pull off for some companies okay up front we have three uh port windows on the side and on the top and the hood here we have a t-top cut and that t-top cut is right there with their ported barrel you know look that's a great little setup for a single stack because it's a very snappy weapon right it's it's got a lot of flip to it uh and your follow-up shots can be off and so uh for me personally with something like this that is a perfect solution for a carry weapon anytime i don't have to increase weight is a good thing so you know you'll see a lot of people with a glock 43 they can't stand that snappiness and so they're adding you know stems and comps and all these other things on to the end increase in length well increasing length increasing weight you know makes a difference when you're carrying it around all day okay and so having a ported setup in this is really just a great solution that they came up with the 43 is a great option for concealed carry all around okay but if you don't mind uh adding a little bit of length or a little bit of weight which we can get away with with the 43 because it is so light uh one of the things you can do is add a 48 up or two a lot of people don't know that about the 9ss so we'll just go ahead and take this down for a second i'll put this here and by the way i guess we still need to do a video on serialization right but you can uh customize your serialized plate for unique numbers for yourself especially to our friends in oppressive states okay but this is a 48 upper by adp builder and it is you know comes together like this fully ready to go ready to drop right on the frame and what's nice is i don't have to do any modifications to this or to the frame in order for these two things to line up and you'll see that in a second but this slide here they've done a great job with it's got three port holes along the side another three on top i have this one with uh just oem sights but one of the things that makes adp builders so popular is that they allow you to upgrade any part of their gun right so um like here i upgraded to the stainless steel guy rod that they offer but they allow you to upgrade the sights and the barrel and this one here is a crown and flushed nitride barrel okay so what you do is you can just take your 48 go right on top of your pf9 ss and then it is locked and load ready to go with no modifications okay this is a six round capacity uh and let's face it when it comes to making decisions on concealed carry a lot of times the reason why people go from a glock 43 but they choose a glock 26 is capacity reasons right they don't want the six rounds they want the 10 rounds and so one of the things that we can do here is we can actually create kind of a 43 48 hybrid so we have our 48 up top here by adp builder but then i can take the magazine i can put a fab defense plus 4 extension on it and now i've got 10 rounds and a beautiful concealed carry and i actually have a really good grip okay this fab defense plus 4 extension is a fantastic okay and it works flawlessly and it performs very very well so now we have kind of a hybrid version here uh of a 4843 on the pf9ss okay so just some options we'll put that on the side let's talk about the 26 so the 26 is actually what got me into zafri precision it was actually the first slide that i uh bought from them uh and really kind of sold me on the zafri brand okay so with the 26 well actually let me cover the slide real quick and then i'll talk about why okay so the slide is fantastic it's got two windows up front with rib cage across the top uh beautiful deep serrations and it's the thing that i love about zafrik precision when they do this durations they're nice and deep cut i mean just absolutely awesome and on the money okay i have running an oem barrel in here and nothing special uh this is a concealed uh carry gun i love the 26 in the summertime obviously we're wearing light clothes t-shirts shorts things like that so the 26 is a great option for concealed carry but the reality is is what do we not like about the glock 26 okay and for me there are two big things that i don't like about the 26 number one is this whole pinky flapping problem that we have right it's it's just you can't get a good grip on a 26 if you have medium to large hands forget it and uh when we talk about concealed carry we're also talking about the drawer right and what do you need for that drawer you need that really good grip drawing it out of the holster and the 26 poses problems and it requires a lot of extra practice in order to get used to drawing a 26. now the other thing is that a lot of people choose the 19 because of the 15 round capacity right so there's really two things for me and this is just me speaking when it comes to concealed carry that i and i'm doing a build that i'm really looking at okay number one is weight because i got to carry this thing around all the time okay and uh i talk about weight a lot in ejection right where ounces mean everything well it's very true with concealed carry as well ounces mean everything so anytime that i can reduce weight um and not lose functionality it's a good thing and so what the glock 26 and what zafri precision has done here is they've been able to allow me to solve two problems okay one is going to be this which is my pinky problem okay i have this loose pinky but the other is going to be capacity this is a double stack 10 round i would love to have the 15 round of a glock 19 but i don't want the weight and this slide here reduces the overall weight by three whole ounces which is enormous when it comes to carrying it around all day okay now a glock 26 with no magazine in it is going to weigh in at 21 and a half ounces and zafri precision with the way they made this slide cuts that down to 18 and a half ounces they've been able to reduce the overall weight of the gun by three whole ounces which is enormous and not suffer any functionality okay well what does that mean well now i have options okay so now i can take this and i can grab a glock 19 mag right which is now 15 rounds i can increase my capacity i can grab something like an x grip sleeve which if you don't know what these are these are just fantastic and i highly advise anybody who wants to run bigger mags to get them this is just a fantastic fantastic uh little invention that was made by x-grip and makes a huge difference when it comes to increasing capacity all right so now i can put this in i've now increased this to 15 rounds i now have good pinky support and guess what i i didn't add any weight to the overall platform of the gun because now i'm at 21.5 ounces right i've added the three ounces by grabbing a bigger magazine in the sleeve fantastic right so this is what originally sold me on zafri precision and then once i started using it it was a no-brainer this is the way to go okay so just another option for you there as well put that one aside let's talk about the 19 and glock 19 here this slide is probably one of the most popular i see quite a bit and listen it's popular for a reason okay everybody loves the glock 19. all right now this is on the strike 80 this is a brand new frame by uh strike industries uh in their collaboration with polymer 80. now this slide is exactly the same as that 43 slide right where is that 43 side right here so it's exactly the same it's just a bigger version in the 19 but it has all of the same features right we have our three port hole windows along the side and we got that t-top cut for that nice ported barrel now this is their barrel as well and it matches up perfectly with the slide and fires and functions with first time quality same with the knurling on the back and here i'm running the type 2 trijicon adjustable led optic just a fantastic gun all around i think it looks great on the strike 80 frame as well okay this is also have their billet extractor in there so fantastic little option for you okay we'll put that one aside the 19. let's talk about what do you want to go do you want to go to the 17 let's we'll just take care of this right inside first let's talk about this bad boy so look this is the uh pf940cl okay so it's your 17 upper with your 19 grip and i had this customized by stones customs they did a fantastic job on my marine corps build uh thank you so much jake did a great job um but this 34 slide this is a 34 slide sitting on top of this frame and this was a limited run um that zafri did and i'm gonna i'm just really straight out i was telling everybody okay because they announced it was a limited run i was telling everybody you got to get on that you got to get it before they sell out and they don't do another run and uh you know i was kind of screaming at the top of my lungs about it okay because the reality is that this slide in limited run was a deuce and a half right 250 uh you know give or take and then we had some codes and stuff as well for the limited run but for the value that you get on a 34 even if you weren't going to build a 34 there's just you know we could put this on the v2 we can put it on the cl is just a tremendous tremendous value and zafri i hope you watch this video and if you do please do another one of them because i think a lot of people missed out and it is such a beautiful beautiful slide that you did here okay um but anyway the 34 being a competition gun you've got look at these serrations i mean deep and wide right so even if you're doing press checks up here deep and wide across the back i mean they have just done a wonderful job still got uh nice cuts here lightening up the slide a big monster hood cut there as well it actually comes you can you can buy the slide by itself or you can buy it with their zapfree precision 34 barrel it's fluted in crown stainless steel looks absolutely gorgeous in there here i'm running the the new whole sun hs 507 x2 so giving this a whirl i like it i haven't seen much of the difference between that and the the v2 model but it looks like the v2 model is getting phased out um so we're going to be left with this one for a little while um anyway great great great setup here uh and uh i encourage you if they do release it again and especially at that price point that you jump on that as quick as possible okay so let's look at the 17 now this is um a pf 940 v2 in fde and on top we have the zafri precision 17 slide and so what you can see here is we have that same stainless steel barrel because i really like that here with the fluted and crown cut it's got three windows along the side and again a hood cut as well here i'm one running the swamp fox justice optic a really good option for those of you looking to get into uh entry level of optics swamp fox is a really good price point for people to get into and get their feet wet okay obviously i own a lot of different optics and i'm not an optic snob okay i'm just not one of those people that you have to have the best of the best i think getting into an optic and getting your feet wet is what's most important uh and getting used to them okay and if you don't have the budget to buy the big stuff you know don't listen to the gun snobs freedom protector you know buy what you can and get your feet wet and then save up for you know the more pricey you know real high quality stuff okay um but optics will change your game when it comes to shooting um but anyway this is a beautiful slide as well uh again this comes with uh you know you go to the 80 adp builder site they give you lots of options to do upgrades to it as well i just have a you know fiber optic site up front but you can upgrade to have hd sites as well that they'll pre-install for you uh and send you the slide again slide comes fully assembled drops right on the frame you have nothing to do up here you don't you know you don't have to put the slides together you don't have to do any of that now for a lot of people especially those on a budget that's a very important piece of this because you know putting aside together you're going to need some type of armor and tools okay there's specialty tools that uh go into putting a slide together like you know a front sight tool like a rear sight pusher uh like a channel liner tool okay that's extra expense and if you're only going to build one which you're not but if you are uh you know you can save yourself money um by not buying tools because you're getting the slide completely put together okay so this is a beautiful zafri precision um 17 slide absolutely gorgeous love it okay put that one aside oh my gosh you know this one here let me just let me let me put some of this stuff aside because this here we it's like a a piece of art we just need to admire it's just absolutely gorgeous i mean look at this thing it's a beast just an absolute beast so this is the 17 long ugh i'm telling you all right so anyway we have five port holes along the side we got a monster you know brains blown out the top here uh hood cut uh looking at that nice flute of that barrel you know they machine their stuff so well you look at the barrel you look at this flute cut and you don't see any machining marks whatsoever the crowns that they do on the end of their muzzle here absolutely gorgeous they just do such a great job okay i'm running a trijicon sro up here again uh the things that we expect from them high functionality the deep cuts of these serrations let me see if we can bring this in i mean they're so deep right just really allows no matter where you put your hand to get a really good grip especially on a big slide like this right you're gonna need that so absolutely beautiful now this is on a pf 940 v2 frame okay so it's just your standard uh 17 frame and then we go ahead and drop this on now again you can buy just the slide or you can buy their slide in barrel combo and if you go through adp builder adp builder puts the entire thing together for you and again allowing upgrades along the way so absolutely gorgeous so we just put that right back all right so that's it freedom detector we got all of these beautiful pieces of freedom i mean absolutely gorgeous let's move some of this stuff over here and we'll kind of take a final review of what we just saw so we have uh really five different models one two three four five different models yep of polymer 80. the only one that we're missing is the pf45 and you know zafri precision really concentrates on the nine millimeter market they don't uh make anything for the pf45 but uh zafri if i can um beg and plead with you on behalf of the community we are in dire need of glock 20 and glock 21 slides and battles and so uh if you can find it in your heart to bring some of that to us when i mean desperate i mean we are desperate for them right now especially in this time where the covet outbreak is and uh we ran that pf 45 that uh outstanding um party that we had a couple of weeks ago where we went through hundreds and hundreds of them so we really really need uh some pf45 upper stuff so zafri if you're listening i know the community is appreciating these few minutes if you can find a way to do it we would really really appreciate that okay um but let's go through the models here of the nine millimeter so we have the pf9 ss so again this is a glock 43 but here we put that uh 48 upper by adp builder on and i'm using the plus four extension uh by fab defense okay so let's just drop this clear it right open it up visual inspection physical inspection weapon is cleared point the weapon in a safe direction and pull the trigger let's take that down and we'll take the 43 slide and put the 43 back on boom okay so 43 configuration or 48 we have the pf 940 sc the sub compact drop the mag same thing inspect the chamber a couple racks if you have not watched my safety video i encourage you to do that next and i'll put it here at the end physical inspection and visual inspection needs to be done weapon is clear point the weapon in a safe direction and pull the trigger so glock 26 again this is what got me on to uh zafri precision fantastic reduces the overall weight by three whole ounces giving us other options to now run an x grip and a 15 round mag right perfect perfect solution we have our glock 19 set up by zafri precision again on a strike 80 frame absolutely beautiful with the ported barrel and i didn't say this earlier but um i said a little bit about it but why i chose this for a 19 setup again if i don't have to add length and i don't have to add weight and i can control that muzzle flip with my follow-up shots by using a ported setup i'm gonna go to that one every single time and zafri precision with this barrel and slide combination has made that a no-brainer so absolutely beautiful build and a great great carry piece right here especially on this new strike frame because this new strike frame is just awesome okay so that's the 19 the 34 uh set up here on the cl frame really really great to take to the range and have a lot of fun with um and for those of you that are looking to get into any type of competition shooting this is actually a great setup for you to get your feet wet and practice with the love this as well and again that's the whole sun optic for our 17s uh frames here on a 940 v2 we have just the regular 17 standard setup or you can go with uh the big boy and do Just a heads up I love the Zaffiri slides but I have not been able to use the safariland als holsters because they catch on the side cuts
