Flying to my old Irish house in Flight Simulator

[Music] welcome everybody to flight simulator 2020 the most realistic looking video game that the world has ever seen i've been really excited about this game for quite a while i know nothing about flying planes i i have zero knowledge on it so that's what our mission is here today we are going to go from having zero knowledge on how to fly a plane to flying over my old house in ireland that's my mission i'm flying over my old house because i don't want to fly over my current house in brighton because that's basically just boxing myself and that's a stupid idea but this game is so realistic that it has the entire world in it they have mapped out the entire planet with satellite data beamed from space streamed into my computer to give everyone the best visuals and the most realistic looking graphics i have ever seen but before we go flying over any houses uh i guess i should learn how to fly a plane oh lord welcome to flight training i'm just straight into a plane huh but you can just call me jess okay hi jess you're just putting me in the plane with no co-pilot this is a terrible idea i still remember my first instructor i hate [Music] i'm alive do planes actually control like this i feel like i'm gonna ride at disneyland surprise surprise our altitude is decreasing i don't like that how do i fix that chess i now know how to fly a plane okay we're getting ready for it are you guys ready for this we're about to take off a plane for the first time i am very nervous about this planes are scary i usually leave it to smarter people to do this all right full throttle engage here we go take off the brakes fly you majestic beast fly increase the speed i didn't know platelets actually had to steer it like this the wind just takes you wherever you want to go look lights are doing it can you see okay when do i get to take off use your rudders to stay on the center line and keep pushing power until you reach 55 knots 55 knots okay am i not at 80. oh lord i'm way off the runway what the [ __ ] i believe i can fly look at them all like tiny little shitty ants first step here is adjusting our attitude okay you gotta adjust your attitude all of you guys are toxic right now saying that i can't fly a plane but i can i am and i do adjust your attitude guys i have a positive one tiny little shitty ants dude this is so cool looking this game looks amazing where am i in the world right now vegas at 65 knots with 10 degrees of flaps and idle power change your pitch if you need to and keep your aim point on the runway number you'll need to add flaps to increase your rate of descent but you'll also need to push forward and trim to change your attitude and maintain the same speed we're coming in all right okay i'll fix that dictates we go around and try our approach again no don't worry you'll get it with practice no we're not going again we're gonna jess how dare you rob me of this i could have landed that jess you [ __ ] [ __ ] she said i was coming in way too high last time so i'm gonna dive bomb this straight into planet earth i'm gonna crack the planet in half okay okay you're not telling me that i'm too high this time we're past the threshold start the flare i don't know what flaring means keep pulling back slowly let the plane settle onto the runway don't push it down but don't let it start climbing hit the [ __ ] brakes now apply the brakes to slow us down and bring the plane to a stop i am i'm turning off the throttle turn off the traction okay great job any land that you can walk away from is a good landing but if you can use the plane the next day it's outstanding those are awful standards to have when flying a plane i would have thought that that was just common sense all right where's ireland where's where's athlone we're going from dublin to shannon easy maybe i should fly a 747. yeah ladies and gentlemen of the passenger flight jack septic airlines welcome aboard i will be your captain for the day captain jacksepticeye if you look out of your windows you will see that there's a beautiful sunrise greeting us as we leave dublin international airport on our way towards the ground it's just a little pilot joke that we have here on our way towards shannon airport we will have some stop-offs along the way and some sites for you to see so just sit back eat your peanuts have a drink forget about your worries you're flying the safe skies all right lads we're in a big plane are we ready to go i don't know if we are but i'm just going to hit full throttle anyway neat take off our brakes oh god and away we go this is epic i don't know how fast this plane should be going i just finished training oh god where's my co-pilot are we oh lord oh we're up in the air oh my god i did it i did it oh my god the plane is listing [Music] away we go we're up in the air yes i'm an absolute legend this is easy flying planes is easy why do people have to go through so much money that's got to be the best pilot i've ever seen so it would seem um how do i do autopilot how do i see out my window ah ladies and gentlemen welcome to our start to our flight we're just out of dublin airport sorry for the rough start our pilot's been drinking if you look out the left of your window you will see uh dolly's grove uh we have no [ __ ] idea what that actually is um but there it is nonetheless all right sit back relax and watch 17 episodes of the office as we cruise our way to the sunny skies dude this is so cool this is so much fun i'm playing a plane and all i had to do was hit a few buttons on a controller do you think that's what they do in planes these days they just have an xbox controller in there they're playing fall guys as everybody else is just like sitting back oh it's much nicer in here it's much quieter where's me drinks ah there we go autopilot this is what the real pilots do by the way they just turn on uh that's a negative um i'm up in the air i've had a few drinks i don't really know what i'm doing anymore uh the ai just cut power what what's the ai doing where in the love of god am i oh look at the size of that bob this is ireland bites i miss it nothing but fields everywhere fields and sheep and old men yelling at them i can change the weather aerosol density maximum precipitation it's ireland that should be a thousand percent thread some light in there as well for good measure oh i can play god with the clouds that's so cool holy crap look at all those clouds that this is iron [Laughter] oh my god you go straight through lightning this is awful we're all gonna die holy [ __ ] wait we can't die can we it's not gonna like blow up the plane i just learned how to take off and land i didn't know how to go through thor's [ __ ] oh god it is so scary to be in to be in the cockpit during a storm how do they fly anything you can't see can you trace the airstrip where is that and who is gay tracy burr that's that's in awfully okay we're nearby um sorry i'm gonna have to take control now i'm probably gonna crash this plane but that's absolutely fine if we're near burr and lyrics down to the left that means up that way is north and we'll head towards atlanta and west me holy [ __ ] um um um um let's just um dude this is so cool i used to go to burr all the time i want to see will i fly over the log cabins where's the bog that used to be next to my house so many bogs everywhere look at all this brown [ __ ] i'm doing fairly well though all things considered i'm not dead and i'm flying a 747 that's progress all right throw up those engines i don't have all day i think this is athlon right here i think this is it we're coming up to like loch derg and the shannon follows it up the river all the way up through this is that flow holy hell boys we're going home i should have picked a smaller airplane for this probably those bad sounds those sound like bad sounds athlon is that you it is right where my nose is pointing right now is where my i crashed is there some sort of invisible force field around athlon that i'm not aware of that destroys airplanes that would explain why i didn't see many of them when i lived there uh i realized that i could i could just start the flight right above athlon and i didn't actually have to go through all of that but you know what i'm glad i did it made me a stronger man oh my god that's it that's that long right there this is so [ __ ] weird so right where the tip of my plane is going right now right there right at the edge of the river is where my house used to be let's slow it on down so we can actually fly over it fairly slowly [Music] that's it right there that's where i used to live i used to go along here and up across the bridge that's so cool hello house there it is oh god holy [ __ ] i used to run along here dude this game's awesome this is so bizarre to do all right let's turn the plane over this way oh god we're probably that's those are bad sounds last time i did bad sounds i crashed into the force this is my apartment right there now ram it ram the building ram the apartment top of the morning to your ladies my name is jacksepticeye and welcome i had to do it i had to go back in time and kill jacksepticeye to stop this from happening oh this plane is so much worse oh god when a guy goes super slow by it that's so weird that's my house my old place it's not exactly what the place looked like oh god but it's close enough behind the trees there johnny oh god oh god dad [Music] we were this close uh hello [Music] should i be flying right now excuse me all right let's take it nice and slowly welcome everybody back to ireland if you look out your left you'll see yet another ball country's full of them you'll see the river shannon right below you i pretty sure yep that's the shannon leads into lock durg right outside athlon uh to your right you'll see several more bugs because that is the midlands of ireland that's all it is this is so bizarre it's also weird because from up here it's like oh man it looks so real and then you get down close to it and it doesn't look real at all yeah there's supposed to be like a this is the shopping center right here so i would go from my apartment down along here across this bridge i've taken many pictures on this bridge oh no this bridge this is way further down what am i talking about and then you go down and into the shopping center tesco and this is the other shopping center i think that means that my cup excuse me what am i crashing into these planes are so [ __ ] weak so that's the shopping center this is the other shopping center you follow this road down my college should be down here where i became a world renowned hotel manager oh yes indeedy let's go to the cockpit i want to see what it's like from in here so cool i want to fly in a plane like this in real life over athlon probably not this low because you're getting a lot of trouble i'm afraid of heights but this is great ah this is my college i can see the track out the back wow bing maps you don't really have all the data that other maps do do you know what it would look like if you use google maps instead yeah this is my college this is the track out the back of my building was this one right here i used to do all my classes in this building and then this was another part of the college this is so bizarre to look at it's like there but it just looks like weird images of it okay i have a mission it's to land in my college holy crap this looks cool damn it's so realistic looking at times let's land over to the to the side maybe oh god okay commit commit we got this we got this we got this hit the brakes hit the brakes oh lord oh lord oh lord oh lord oh come on i hit the brakes too hard i landed it that was right at my college shut up i came to see the kids all right let's fly over brighton right in palace beer yeah okay i spawned a little far away oh my god here's brighton there's the pier obviously can you read are you are you dumb stupid or dumb damn but there's the i360 tower owned by british airways of course you go down along the beach here i've walked down here many many times i want to see how accurate it is though if you don't fly too low or crash and die again damn weird every place is like an approximation of what it's really like but there's a truck driving through a building down there there's my house i was really paranoid that it would actually show a marker where my house was this doesn't look like brighton at all this is stupid most realistic game ever my ass look out everyone below i've got a plane and i'm not afraid to throw my poop out of it all right that is crazy detailed and uh realistic as i was hoping for i sorry guys my baby is crying all right there's only one thing left to do in this video and that's to land on the beach that is my mission and i'm here to do it all right here we go everybody here we go landing a plane on brighton beach some say it was never possible some say they would never dare do it but i jacksepticeye will take on the challenge here we go till drop a little bit get that nose up into the air oh god those are bad those are really bad sounds i did it i did it i [ __ ] did it i landed i landed a plane on the beach in brighton i'm the greatest pilot ever [Applause] all right well i guess you can just get out now and walk home i just
