Matthew amen the 23rd chapter Amen Saint Matthew chapter number 23 a man and I want a man when you have 23 and 13 a man I want you to say man we'll just skip down and we'll read accordingly yeah do you have it Saint Matthew chapter 23 read verse 13 14 and 15 but woe unto you but woe unto you scribes and Pharisees scribes and Pharisees hypocrites for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven haha against men read for you need to go in yourselves neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in breathe woe unto you scribes and for you scribes and Pharisees hypocrites for ye devour widows houses devour widows houses and for pretense McClung prayer for pretense you make long prayers three therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation your going to receive the greater damnation really woe unto you unto you scribes and Pharisees right for Jesus boy folk think we mean what would they have thought about Jesus coming to church and then Jesus say woe unto you you scribes and Pharisees hypocrites boy he's gonna make this point before it's all said die read what the Bible says for ye come pass see you are willing to go out of your way inland AHA to make one proselyte to make one proselyte to get somebody to see you as some kind of authority enough to wanna be like you and when he is made and Ben when he's made he make him twofold more the child of Hell than yourselves Jesus is some kind of preacher ain't it somebody I would have stood up walked out of church if y'all would have been there that day Jesus says you will spend your time going and trying to make somebody apostle ight make them one of your mentees and he said by the time you get through with him with your hypocritical self you would have made them more twofold a child of Hell than you are Jesus skip down to verse 2 three woe unto you woe unto you scribes and Pharisees you scribes you Pharisees hypocrites you hypocrites for ye pay tithe you pay pile of mint and anis of mint and anise and cumin cumin and have omitted and you have omitted the weightier matters of the law of the law judgment judgment mercy mercy and faint and faith these are ye to have done uh-huh and not to leave the other undone don't leave the others under uh-huh he blind guy who's the guy which strain at a gnat and swallow a camel but you swallow Wow unto you scribes Pharisees hypocrites look at somebody and just just tell him be real that's what I want to talk about tonight be real I was in a business meeting a couple weeks ago and when I was sitting at the table Bishop Hill said you know there was a time a possum area with way out there hypocrites anybody knew opossum if you ever had the privilege of hearing him preach lord have mercy he pounded in law one two you you never sees you hypocrites and he had such a way of saying it until he made it sound so bad when he said it you said I bet you're facing me to up cuz it sounds so bad coming from him hypocrites God K views no Chris why be a hypocrite with you could be real with God I got to thinking about that there's so many people now we don't hear a whole lot of preaching about hypocrites anymore you hear people talk about it it's never excuse for not coming to church and you know that's a lot of people ever use that excuse I think though the church is just full of hypocrites a member only place you'll ever go well that would be no hypocrite when you get up there amen everybody that's fair I will be real with God amen it would be no more pretense it won't be those that are put in the home Amen it won't be the holes Amen that are just repenting it will be for those Amen that are real with God who have made their peace with God and for them it's not just about appearances Amen it's not about putting on airs it's about knowing for sure but I have what I say I have you got a whole lot of people now Amen baby II don't possess it they profess it amen and they hope that don't nobody else find out what it is that they really don't have but brothers and sisters this is the hour when God is calling for the real true sons and daughters of God to stand up and to be counted don't you know people now a men are trying to use the excuse but I know somebody who did this or I know somebody a man who was sleeping with members and no people he met that molested children had no pastors that stole money from the church amen and they were living better amen that the church was making out but listen it doesn't matter hey men who you know you just got to make sure like I said this morning Amen that you save yourself I don't care who's not real you know you going back with listen I'm not gonna be in church and have no assurances and you've got a lot of people now remember entrance they're serving amen in the capacity Amen about silver Hanson remember functioning in the body but they have no assurances they don't know for sure but if they would have died tonight they would go back with Jesus amen and they would wake up on the other side I'm not coming to church all of this time and not having any assurances and I want you to know a member you can have those kinds of assurances tonight hey baby you don't have to just be one then go to church amen and have a good shout because you know now you got professional shouters even people are just trashy but they don't mean they save you've got a whole lot of folks sons and daughters hey man they can shout they know how to speak some kind of talk Amen but they're not living holy they are not living right they just have that form of godliness but they are denying the power you've got to know that a forum I ain't never got nobody nowhere it takes a whole lot more than a farmer and a fashion look at somebody and just tell them be real what else I'm at it be real hey Mel people now that believe that God can heal you and keep you healed they don't believe that because they give themselves excuse I don't have to satisfy our relationship [Laughter] [Laughter] I just wanna please the Bible declares him he says that if you offend one of these little ones it's better that a millstone beat at around your neck and you'll be cast into the middle of the deep part of the sea then for you to offend that's why God's whole lot of people accountable well y'all show getting quiet tonight yes I want to go home make sure that brisket ain't burn but I ain't rushing out of here so you can go check on the ribs hey man I'm gonna try to tell you what the Bible said amen to keep you from being in that category he's trying to tell us now remembered what we'll see we have seen the rise of the imposter that's why Jesus said in the last days this see was deceivers would show up and they're trying to give you an impression of God that is totally contradictory to the word that's already on record God is saying now that hypocrites are so abundant I mean you even a shortage of them at all and the thing is they're proud to be hypocritical now used to be a time when when that was shunned but now there's a pride and arrogance that have come with being a hypocrite but y'all ready saying they did the Bible said they would have a phone but deny the power I told you this morning somebody sent me a picture of a shirt that says I'm saved but I cuss a little years ago you couldn't have got nobody to were shirt that dumb but now they'll shut out because people want the privilege of being able to say I'm saved but they still want the pleasure they don't wanna make a choice so they just if you acaso just say I'm a pastor but don't say I'm say I'm saying but I still do this I'm saying but do you know what the Bible said about then say he said if any man be in Christ he's a new creep can you be a new creature and say I'm saved want to you show quiet you you got pretenders out there they just call them shysters wash I spin people trying to get in good with you because they got something the game and and they're really not who they say they are they just hope you don't find out before you sign on the dotted line stop acting like the church is the only place where you find pretenders what you always saying nothing here they everywhere everywhere you got political pretenders well Yahweh's Center Washington for a mint full of pretenders I remember when I worked a man for the office of hearings and appeals I remember a man being in the courtroom one day when that was a lawyer and a judge and I'm sitting up at at the table taking my notes lawyer started going at it in my show that I just saw [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] Magritte y'all sit down cus hey man like I want me to shut up and I'm starting to get offended hey man you got to know that God is telling us now just be real people want to project a concept own to have a people but it's just an attempt to gain human praise it is what you call playing that to the audience so what an actor does he plays to the audience and in this situation the audience is the people who look to try to identify that which is godly and that which is righteous that is which is an accord with the scripture and you've got people that are lined up just close enough to make you think that you can trust them spiritually but Jesus had one to you you scribes you Pharisees you religious people you hypocrites everybody ain't no hypocrite but it don't change the fact and everybody ain't real either and sometimes you can go to one extreme or the other you got people such as church is full of nothing but hypocrites well now you can't say that but then at the same time you can't just walk in and don't think that hypocrites exist they exist they pretend and see and this is where people are so naive you know I heard some people say when I came to church I thought everybody was saying then once you hear somebody say something that wasn't true the Saints no Saints don't what what I'm hearing that's not exist and when you go to that extreme and somebody just show you that true color and 13 Isaiah 29:13 wherefore the Lord says well the Lord said for as much as much has this people as this people draw near me kill me with their mouths no what I want to give honor to God to the past of the pastor's wife their mothers board the deacon the ushers the guards on the parking lot and the cooks I want to thank God because he's all I need and I tell you long as I got him I don't need nobody else I told you go hang going which I'm going all the way with God and you know if some folks know how to stir a church up with one of them one of them testimonies boy they got enough cliches in that testimony they gonna say some gonna get everybody he's a doctor in the sit room hey useful be testifying trying to prove he's a lot tuning up in the card room he a bridge over train you get ever and he said look they just with their mouth they tested by strong you've seen people like testify oh wow horses couldn't drag me a patter here you know in real life that's the last time you're gonna see them in church you ain't gonna see them no more with their mouth read and with their lips whip pal lips you honor me hey them me but have removed their heart and their fear of our faithful don't call him up the pastor path I don't here nobody talked to me that Anglesey for another 3-4 weeks I want somebody that's going through a trial yeah but grants Jesus said won't injure in being because somebody may call on you to do what you say you know how to do well you're always saying then come on come on over here there's a demon-possessed man over here come on I heard your testimony I know you come on come on he's right over here so be real it's possible what God wants you to happen over here I know some Maddy go to your church that this this great swimming profession and I found out some stuff about them jesus said I chose twelve of you one of you ended up a devil so what you think we don't do shut the whole church down just because you just now finding out that people are not all the time what they purport to be we're now I'm stopping the pastor this morning I say how's everything going he they went so far so good he said you know I got them coming in I got him leaving I said well it's the nature of church some folk coming in others going out some people finding this to be the best thing ever happened to some people deciding this ain't the life they want to live no more he said yeah I found out not to hang my hat on nobody he said you know it's sad I don't get excited about nothing no mo when they come to people I can't hang my head on I said no cuz they're leaving take your head with them hey Mandy I don't know about that leave him and steal your head that's how people off hey man but again like I told you this morning save yourself with fear and I don't you live the same life at home you got some people in the house with you go home go home you ain't got no business look at that no power works this works so hypocrisy is about playing to the audience but sons and daughters God is not concerned about us looking good in front of others our concerns should be simply what God thinks about us the Bible said he searches the heart he searches the Rings God searches us it's more listen you can't convince God God just knows you know what the Bible says nevertheless come on Bible scholars the foundation of God standeth sure having what this seal what is that seal the Lord knows you not convincing God which are worse knows who belongs to be true it means to be no additives no the world we go out of people that don't even know him we want to know business laughing that on the job how do we make this work to my next point woe unto you scribes Pharisees hypocrites please shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men well ye neither go in yourselves neither suffer give them mmm that are entering to go in and you don't want nobody else to believe you ain't going to heaven and you trying to keep us from believing in those people didn't I help a print you there ain't nothin but a hypocrite that's all it's about it's all it's about and you got people I don't know how in the world everybody got a church because some people don't even believe in deliverance they don't believe in the power of God to say they don't believe you always saying it in a holiness and they don't want you to believe it either if God is a holy God God didn't send them that's a hypocrite well y'all y'all don't got quite look at what he says verse 14 he said what to you you scribes Pharisees hypocrites you devour widows houses and for a pretence make long one of them prayers that you know they ain't talking to God they talkin to somebody out there he say for a pretense you make long prayer therefore he shall receive the greater damnation I was reading this and they said when a woman's husband died the Pharisees would come to the house and and what they would do they would they would pose as people who want to preserve the legacy of the deceased man and they would say to the widow if you want to preserve his legacy then make a donation in his name and we were not concerned about nobody in the context of religion to swender you $50 god have heard your prayer he's gonna send a husband your way and if you believe that standing that out which are $50 seat I'm just making an example don't nobody get your money and your Lord you get all kind of folk standing the how would they $50 pastor I got 250 just in case the first one don't work I get you folks now hey get in the man they buying husband's now you're here is just a racket y'all ain't sent and they know there's a whole bunch of lonely women hugging pillars at night amen and they don't come to church a man with your sanctified chef and tell you God don't give you a husband for $50 amen yeah [Music] [Laughter] he's just trying to use well I guess I better get out of here and nobody sent a man but surely nobody says verse 15 worn to you you scribes Pharisees you compared sea and land to make one proselyte and when he is made you make him twofold more the child of Hell and yourself this is somebody that wants people to be like not trying to lead you in the right way they just want you to be they're not taking you to the world people will tell you whatever you want to hear as long as you'll follow them that's a hypocrite well sit up preached three times again I already need a adjutant word I asked you to preach Saturday night and I look home and you got some at it hold that falling in behind you you got folks just won't people to follow what now y'all mad I ain't talking about you unless I'm talking about you but you better keep your address turn off my pulpit I just want people to follow them ain't got no authority but they'll go out of their way to try to go and reach somebody because they want that person to look at them and think that and the thing is they're not trying to make you more like God they just want you to follow them and if you followed them and that pattern it won't be a bigger better than they are see what I found out is that when you're the leader people think that there's a different standard for you have y'all noticed that's the reason why some things I can't do even if it's wrong even if it's right not wrong I still can't do it because people feel like the life helium he lived like that cuz he's the pastor but I ain't trying to be no pastor so you got some folk that feel like they ain't got to do what I do because what I do is done because I'm a pastor not because I'm a child of God he's up here ain't nowhere up there I'm right where you are Amen living holy and trying to make it y'all way standing here but hope feel like the posture is up here I'm just trying and so what they'll do is do less than what the leader does because they feel like what he's doing it don't take that from me cuz I ain't row and the lean so you gotta be careful as a league or y'all way insane nothing you gotta be careful as a leader because people will do a little less than what you do because they think that your standard is substandard of a leader and not the standard of a child abduch and that's why so the deficiency always and always I don't want nobody looking at me thinking ain't got to do what I do listen all of us in the same ship that's why they called it fellowship more than one fell in the same ship we are trying to get that you always saying up and if you look at me and I know people think that the life but the little live is unnecessary for what they call the lay member or no listen what do you say on the one he's say unto all and so I've got to convince you give you a wrong impression so I'm not just looking for stuff that's wrong I'm looking for stuff that look wrong because if it looked wrong but it ain't wrong I still gotta stay away from it because I don't want to mess you up but you got some people that don't understand that so they live our kind of lives that do everything and then got people following in behind them and the Bible said when he get done he's a double devil he twice as bad as you are because he didn't even live up to your standard and you were already deficient boy y'all can cry here look at what he said let me hasten first 23:1 to you you scribes Pharisees hypocrites for you pay tired of mint and anise and cumin and have a minute the weightier matters of the law judgment and mercy and faith you are such a stickler you paying tide how do you mint you given a tide out of you coming but then there were other things that you're not doing you're hypocrite you think all God won't is your money you're tired but then you treating your neighbor bad you've neglected the weightier matters you thought how God wounded what was what was his cut of your men and your knees and your coming you think that's all he wanted so you pay close attention you hard on people you're not really showing love to know about it but but you you paying your tab down to the to the to the sin you got everything you get you can pay your time and I don't care all it is you pay attention to that but you ain't got no good judgment when it comes to people you you're not merciful you're not showing the look you're walking right over people as if that's not required by God you open some of it but then you ignoring everything and how many people are like that sit up here and they'll come they'll pay they've tied and come around off and almost slam that money in the bucket and then go right back and change seats because somebody sat down next to you that you'd rather not sit by and you scribes you Pharisees you hypocrites Titus 1 in 16 says they profess to know God but in works they deny him being abominable and disobedient and unto every good work their reprobates one to you scribes you don't have to you can have the real thing you ain't gotta make up a tongue you can have the real Holy Ghost you ain't got to practice your shout gotta give Yahweh sendin gotta give you one and I'm tellin you ain't nothin like a real shot huh y'all gettin quiet here you guys for ground hit breaking other folk legs and doing all this stuff shouting all wife know when God give you a shot even you shout got power when God gives it to you and it's real people can see it they can feel it Wow unto you you scribes Pharisees look at somebody on your way up and just tell them be real what God is calling for be real whatever you are be real if you and sin stop trying to act like a child of God sitting like you ain't got none and you and sin it's not gonna make you better woe unto you you scribe you Pharisees you hypocrites pay real you've got problems you ought to want to get them solved be real you got issues that you can't handle God can be real be who you are if you say be saved if you're not save just acknowledge that I need deliverance how can God save you you still hiding pretending and putting on airs just let him save you mom said if we confess our sins faithful and just to forgive us be real confess it he saw anything like he don't know I'm reading live and hide and confess it I did it I thought it was what I wanted but I changed my mind I said that stuff I went there I drunk that I smoked it be real confess it I need you if you're turning over to him he'll make you right David set up and heard prophet talking and David said I got people like this in my kingdom taken for sheep you mean I got Rascals like this that may need to die how does that David you the one what made David so different from saw the Prophet came sanika he said that you do what God I did what God told me to do you did what God I didn't you do what God told you to do it I still hear proof he tried to lie its way right on it you ain't gonna never get through to God pretended but come on come on somebody's saying Lord I just I want to be right I don't care if you in the choir I don't give you ownership boy it doesn't matter somebody said Lord I want to be right pretending they got me nowhere I'm shouting and still going home I want some victory everybody wants some victory come on come home come on you still bound come on come on Lord testifying and running all over the church still got cigarettes in your person in your car be real come on come on I think God for what he did for me and you still addicted you still bound be real be honest oh no you ain't when I tends bar no crack but you borrow another folks medicine and you're getting high that way come on come on we don't have to pretend we can be real those of you at this altar I'm not gonna beg you to come amen but those of you at this house I want you to lift your hands to the Lord and I want you to talk to God I want you to know he loves you he loves you in a real way and if your confess and ask him to come in and deliver you he'll do that he said if you come to me I will in no wise cast you out you can have the real thing while your hands on it to just surrender your whole life to the Lord we're holding nothing back tonight come surrender your whole life to the ask him lot come in and deliver me that's good Lord set me free Oh Lord changed me make me what you would have me to be and tell him Lord I can't do it on my own I need power ask God to fill you with the Holy Ghost come on that's it ask him to deliver you and set you free baptize you with this power and tell him Lord when you do it today tell him I live for you for the rest of my life come on if you believe it he's doing it for you now that's it I want to be real father lay your hands on him God has not touched at night thank you for your power Oh God I believe you for change and deliverance with the Holy Ghost don't let it be the same again in the name of Jesus father lay your hands on him I think it because you made us promises you said you without every right desire that you'll do what needs to be done you see the need minute by your power God I just want to be real that's it come on that's it just want to be real how to lose your father lay your hands on it I pray for strength right now but you wouldn't with flow through these bottles living in the different stone that it taught you as you wanted the faith of
