and I love him with everything that I have with all of my heart my mind my soul and my strength I'm in love with Jesus and Jesus is in love with me and I'm so grateful to be his child today and listen I'm just thinking God and I think him for it every day but today I'm just thinking God for the gift of dr. Shirley Murray amen I see it so often and we don't do that right in just a second but if I wanted to express my love to you the only way I could do that is by what I give to you have to give you something to show you how much I love you that's all I can do I just I have to give you something but when God wants to show you how much he loves you he don't give you something he gives you somebody and I thank God and we gonna praise and right now the way we ought to for the kill dr. Shirley Barrett [Music] [Applause] he loved us enough with this great gift and I'm so grateful to God I you heard him earlier 18 when she came to know the Lord this year is no secret we celebrated her 85th birthday sixteen seven years of living holy I'm telling you six to seven years of wisdom a man of experience that God is still using to bless people literally around the world everywhere I go people say the same thing I've never met her but she's just like my grandmother and tell her we love her sister murmured people love you around this world people that you've never met have never met you but your example of holy living a man and sanctification is blessing the masses one more time somebody thank God [Music] for what he has done you may be seated and I tell you it is it's the greatest joy of my life to stand in this place and preach the word of the Lord amen I don't care what else I could have done in life nothing else would have been a greater undertaking than the privilege of being able to spend and declare the whole counsel of God and I mean that these are not just words I'm speaking I mean it with everything I have amen no matter what it is I could be doing there's nothing I'd rather be doing amen then living holy walking uprightly and declaring the truth of the word of our God and certainly the day we think of our first lady Amen lady Danielle she's been quite busy this week amen Texarkana preaching Friday night amen back here Saturday morning speaking at the woman-to-woman prep breakfast a man in from even though I wasn't invited a man I understand you all had a wonderful time in the Lord hey man you know that's what it's all about investing in yourself spiritually so many times we invest in ourselves natural and we talked about it a couple weeks ago at the Brotherhood meeting we invest naturally in ourselves but what about spiritually amen those things that are going to build us spiritually I think that's amen well we should focus our investment amen you know you know some of you don't we're not about this a 65-inch TV paid all that money and you could have went and paid for a couple of classes at the Community College and finished your degree plan so congratulations you got a TV but how did that better your life y'all get in quiet a man they terminate selling phones now for $1000 anymore summer y'all go back but what are you doing to invest in yourself spiritually a man a man you run across the country behind network marketing schemes but won't even come to church during midweek service what are you doing to invest in yourself spiritually amen because at the end of the day only what you do for Christ is gonna do you know they don't even sing songs like that no more only what you do for guys is going to last and so amen take the time out to make sure that while you excelling in the natural that you're doing something to build yourself in the spirit amen look at somebody and tell them neighbor there is a word from the Lord or come on there is a word from the Lord and I am a lover of the Word of God I love mine a broke man you got yours come on hold that power up faint God amen because everything else is going down but the word of what of our God and we think God today and I want to appreciate all of our guests and our friends that are here amen I understand that brother and sister white here to hear from is it Seagoville amen we think God for you all they still here with us amen god bless you amen come on clap your hands for him and wherever you're held from amen we think God for you being here with us I may not know your name but an honor that you hear in fellowship with us amen we were in Denver Colorado this week and I tell you we had a wonderful time in the Lord God saved Amen did what we asked him to do amen and we're here looking for God to do something for us today is anybody's mind made up to go with God all of the way let me ask it again cuz some of y'all laughter like you're still on the fence about it is anybody's mind made up to go all of the way with God Amen I told God till I died amen and I mean that if I gotta die holding on to the Bible I'm going out of here trusting and depending on the Lord the book of st. Luke's Gospel the seventeenth chapter I want amen to call their attention to an old familiar passage of Scripture and it seems like I've been on a tangent lately amen but if I can't get away from it that lets me know it's something to this you know there was a time in my early ministry when you know I worried so much sometimes it seemed like I'd be praying and God just was slow to give me an answer and I used to stress no I got a preach in the morning and I can't seem to figure out what you want me to say I gotta tell these people something and I need you to talk to me and there would be times when I would stress over that and then God would come in seemed like at the last minute and give me a word and say I need you to tell them for me there have been times I stood up and I said God is on you today and while I was standing here God spoke to me and told me what to say I don't worry about that anymore and I tell him it if I can't hear from God when I think I ought to he has a way of her letting me know just in the nick of time and I was studying a man and God began to drop something in my spirit and I couldn't get away from it you know you have to resist that people say well I mean didn't they preach something along those lines last month I'm so far past that now because I found out Amen that sometimes as hard as your preached the ones that heard last month didn't really get it so we got to know what God is saying but if y'all pray with me I'll give you everything I got today a mint because there is a word from the Lord Saint Luke 17 and 32 and when you have it say Amen I said st. Luke 1732 when you have it's amen just three words three powerful so searching words in every bar where they glanced at it you really don't you have to look again the Bible says help me remember remember Lot's wife remember means that I've heard of this before and anybody that's been in church it'll indept we have heard the story of Lot's wife but you know about her everybody's saying the same thing what did she do she did what that's what you know about Lots money well if that's what we know about her and Jesus says remember which means to call back to your memory to the forefront of your mind what is the lesson that he's teaching us in three simple words he says don't look bad just look at your name but don't look at the one behind you cuz it's kind of anything uncle to them just just look at the one to the side and tell them part look bad I believe that this is one of the most important things that he could say to us in this hour don't look back the Bible says that in the last days there would be a great falling away people wouldn't necessarily fall away from the church house but they would fall away from their relationship with God there are a lot of people still claim and God because they're still at church but jesus said there will be a phenomenon in the last days where people will honor me with their lips but their hearts are going to be far from me we're at that point now brothers and sisters when God is only everybody's lips but he's not in hardly anybody's heart now we deal with an issue of those who had once come to know the Lord who are deciding at the last hour that this life is not the life I want to live anymore the danger in all of this thought is that they're people that are going out of their relationship with God who won't have the privilege of making it back I've been sitting there and I've been hearing this and I've been preaching it for the last few weeks the fal of people who if they are not careful will fall for the enemy's tricks because attack his schemes the Bible said that this devil that's out to destroy us is such a master deceiver possible he might be save the very elect might but when you got the Holy Ghost power to discern where Satan's seat is brothers and sisters we are at a point now where we've got to come to a greater appreciation of the fact that will save sanctified with the Holy Ghost hold of God's marvelous made a mistake there's a reason that came the world in the first place now is Sam [Laughter] [Applause] [Applause] in love with Jesus turn my whole life around now is and you know what you [Applause] salvation means something to me might not be nothing anybody else but it means something to me it means something to be shaved see I still believe that it's impossible to be saved and not be delivered if you saved that means you deliver if you ain't delivered what are you safer and so God brought us out of seen that when God brings you out of said he does so to the intent that you stay delivered I was looking not long ago and they had a flood in one area of the country and there was a man man who saw adults struggling trying to make it y'all saw it out of the raging water he jumps in risked his own if to save a dog gets the dog out of the water puts the dog on the pain but now people are shopping addictions those habits and those pendants is broach did you not have a mind to go all the way see the label says love not the whoa neither the things that are in the world you got some people who have been grown out of the world but their mind that they're not allowing to be transformed and so they still have a mental and an emotional connection to some stuff that's in the way it's the reason why they enrich but they're still complaining about holy living because their mind it still stuck it y'all getting quiet I was talking last night and I know some of them got mad somebody you got man I told him you know people now are worshipping gods they'd only realize is worship but anytime you can rather to choose something above God you have made that your God yeah yeah anytime you can miss Church because it conflicts with some extracurricular activity that you have what are you saying are your sons and daughters if your chart service and your football game conflict then just miss church y'all can cry what are you teaching your sons no God want to be the only one in your life where the enemy is course and so many people and send to them you've held on long enough you live this way home you've been holy long enough if you got some folk grew up in church and the devil is telling you that you never got a chance to live your life I never got a chance to go out there I've got a chance to do anything I never got a chance to make my own mistakes I never got a chance to do this ever since I was little I've been in church and I've been doing what everybody wanted me to do and I just feel like I haven't lived when you look at what's happening the folk who claim they have lived some folk so good they carry the disease around [Laughter] [Applause] [Applause] and catch something before you make out that ain't worth but the world is offering you listen don't you be in the church casting a wish fly over the fence they used to tell us see see parents don't talk to their kids on that level like they used to they used to tell us the grass is not always greener on the other side boy we understood exactly what they were talking about you said that some of these kids now everything that shines and go yeah you know they got some stuff they call fools go we went elementary we got a wholesome that booze go and we got rich and then he realize we were boys a dog and fools go will help you thinking you living the life and don't even realize you living the life of a fool so God is still saving he's still delivering and he's coming back soon I'm not afraid that there's somebody that's gonna live a holy all of this time but things don't turn right around and walk out of the safety zone at the last minute and I know that people that don't believe that you can backslide once you in you ain't never out show that to me in the scriptures because what y'all don't believe me get what is that Hebrews 10 30 38 is that it no Hebrews don't close your Bibles did you is that right yes now the just New Testament here if any man draw back right back my soul shall have no pleasure if any man draw back my soul shall have no pleasure in him now that's not me talking that's God talking free verse 39 but we are not of them did you hear this we are not up every who draw back unto back unto perdition what addition means ruin or destruction when you cope on God you don't go back to throw it after you have once known the grace of God His goodness forget about the right people and kill people I'm still safe no you are not because the people said we are not that drop ruin but we'll help them that believe this saving I was so what did Jesus say this will we do if we follow on to know the Lord when I'm finding out now that people are starting to see God as a nuisance CS Lewis tells a story a young man who was asked what do you think about God this little boy said well he's kinda like somebody that's snooping around trying to find people who are having fun and then when he sees them having fun he wants to put into it and you notice how a lot of people see God as if he only exists to ruin your fun but sons and daughters there are some things that are fun but they're not fulfilling and God is saying you're shortchanging yourself by having fun when I really want your whole life to be a life of fulfillment stop settling for having fun because fun runs out after a while and the same thing that made you laugh would turn around and make you cry so know God is not this nuisance of a man God is not somebody that's trying to ruin your fun he's trying to pull you out Jesus says I'm coming soon we've talked a lot about the 24th chapter of Matthew talked about the first verses where they asked him Lord what should be the sign of that coming and at the end of the world we know how you said there would be deceivers in the land earthquakes in diverse places pestilence diseases famine the love of many with wax call there would be famines in the land a kingdom would rise against Kingdom nation against nation wars and rumors of wars it's all happening at the same time then we understand first what is at 32 says hear ye the parable of the fig tree we know about the parable of the fig tree we know and he says amen in verse 44 of Matthew the 24th chapter be also ready for an hour that's a thing not have your Lord Bath's come we know all of that but he also said before I come as it was in the days of light so shall it be when the Son of Man comes now when you start talking like that people think you're only gonna angle your preach in one way let me say this we know what the Bible says was happening in Sodom and Gomorrah we not foolish people we know what it says was going on men were looking at men and when the angels came and the men of the city saw that there was some fresh meat walking through the streets the Bible says they came to naught and said we saw those tall dark and handsome brothers walking up in your house bring them out of there the Bible said light tells him listen don't do this wicked stuff it was wicked and lot said it was but you have preachers now better look at this story and say that's really not what it was about it was just about the fact that they were not hospitable people lot said don't do this wicked stuff and the Bible said that they were so insistent that the Angels open the door grab and pull them in the house and said listen just come on back in because you don't want to be a party to what's getting better to happen the Bible says that the Angels smoke those men with blindness they couldn't see but you think that stopped them the Bible said they pressed on the door even the more high but what we want to do we ain't got to see and it is sad that even when the judgment of God has fallen on man they still cannot see if he's smarter with blindness and they still couldn't see sin had him so power and even the judgment of God didn't matter the Bible says that the angel saved a lot of his wife get out of here the angel says when you leave the one stipulation I can't tell you how fast cuz I don't know how fast you can run I just tell you to run I have a fast you can run run if it's five miles I would do everything you can do but the one thing I can tell you when you get out of the city don't look back the Bible says that while they were talking and this is well I have a problem with lot the Bible said they tarried he's trying to get them out of the city before the fire Falls and the Bible said so much until the Angels had to grab him by the hand and say come on let's go when he brought him out Bible said everything was going good fast thoughts falling behind him and that is running he said baby just keep running keep running come on baby we can make it go y'all keep up are you back there yeah dad are we back here keep going we can't stop now baby but y'all can't she ain't saying nothin gals don't you say your mama what happened this woman made it out of the city but still perished because she looked back don't tell me you can't y'all gettin quiet yeah I got saved when I was seven years old here but have you looked back the Bible said when she looked back she turned into a pillar not a pillow a pillar of soldiers in that one pack of disobedience she lost her life and her soul lost it now for years I heard people talk about all her curtains and a fine house and maybe they had a fine house maybe they had nice furniture maybe they had a whole lot of food growing in the field but there was a few scriptures that opened my eyes when Rock went out to talk to those angels he says to them don't don't try to sleep with these men he said I have daughters who are virgins who have never known a man I would rather you take my virgin daughters for yourself then for you to do such wickedness these men you don't even understand what these men all about good lot I've had virgin daughters if he had son in laws that lets me know that it's possible that lot had other daughters because if he has son in laws that means they were married and the marriage had been consummated but if he had virgin daughters that means they had to be hotter daughters other than the ones married to these men could it have been when the fire start falling his wife heard a voice that she recognized coming from the city but one of those screams have been the screams of one of her daughters that was still there oh so easy to point our fingers at Lot's wife and say oh you had to do was keep going you you messed up he let you out of the city and you messed it up oh it's easy to do that but when I look at what some parents would do for their children now what if it was her daughter and she heard her daughter screaming could you have kept going could you have heard that women shrieking and you know that they're in payment in peril could you have said love God more because Peter Pentacles acts the second chapter Bible says that with many other words that he exhort them and he began to encourage them on the day of Pentecost and he encourages them with two words Jesus gives us a story with three Peter encourages us with two and the two words that he says save yourself save yourself if you can't save nobody else save yourself if the person who brought you to church backside you don't owe them nothing save your self if your husband backslide you ain't gotta go back to drinking just because he did shave your shower they used to tell us that story of a woman who was saved and filled with the holy cows and her husband didn't like it kept trying to pull it out of the sanctified Church you know that that's what they that st. the Vantage but I don't want you going to that st. if I'd shot and he kept pressing up and he kept pressing her and then he says to her listen when I tell you what I'll pick a church and you can just come to my church so she said she agreed to go and she went even though the standard wasn't right because there was a husband she wanted to go and she went anyway said he start trying to entice her to do things and come on go out with me and do this and she started coward she that wasn't a they went to the bar and he put a glass in front of her she just decided because he asked her to see you just go this is is the husband after all she said when she put that glass to her lips and went back on her vow to God she said in that moment she felt the Spirit of the Lord leave her if you can't save everybody you love save yourself when you stand before God you think he gonna allow you to call character witnesses Your Honor I would like to call my son save yourself pasta Mary used to tell us the story of a young lady that came to the Lord teenager who wanted to give our heart to God and she wanted to live right she wanted to live holy and she came she got saved and she got filled with the Holy Ghost and when she got home and told her father about it he told I don't want you going to that church I don't know why people fight the church why don't they fake the place that you actually got delivered at he told her I don't want you going back to that church and if I find out you went back to that church he told her he would beat her with a piece of wood and he stayed owner and she wanted to go back and she stayed on her knees asking not to make a way but because her father kept applying pressure she stopped being serious about God came back home and she changed she went back to her always laughing and tripping up and and when she would go now she didn't have a mind and by myself in the service the whole attitude was completely different and as a teenager she got sick and while she's laying there in the bed sick and dying the father said baby why don't you pray as God to heal you ask God to raise you up cause God to touch your body she's that daddy I can't he said what do you mean what do you mean she said you remember when you told me you they want me to go to that shot when you told me you would meet me with hickory wood she said I got on my knees and I told God to leave me alone stop talking to me I don't wanna talk to you leave me alone I don't want to hear from you anymore she said and he hasn't said a word to me since that day and the story says as she was dying she started and they were trying to pull up in the bed because her feet were burning and she died crying out in pain if you can't save everybody if you can't say nobody else save yourself Jesus said when you look at what happened to this man's wife that's a testimony of what happens to you when you put your hand to this plow and say you gonna serve me for the rest of your life and then you turn around remember Lot's wife she made it out the city but she never made it to the heels you can come to church you can even get saved but until you make it to heaven you better keep running for your life [Applause] remember Lot's wife a tragedy that's not the last tragedy that you'll ever see Judas I told you he's the only man that ever kissed the door heaven and turned around and still went to hell jesus said I am the door Judas walked right up to the door and cast it then turn around and stare died and went to hell remember Lot's wife every man is going to give an account of his own deeds unto God he not gonna ask me about you and he ain't gonna ask you about me but he's gonna ask you about you and you better have a good answer for every question that he poses to you at that time he's coming stand to your feet remember Lot's wife he was gracious enough to allow them out of the city but she didn't appreciate it enough to keep moving I know it's hard when you might have heard voices that sound like people you know but I refuse to allow anybody else's voice to matter to me more than the voice of the Lord maybe there's somebody here this morning maybe you knew the Lord maybe you actually believed that all you had to do was repent and say I'm sorry then you could go live any kind of wait what sense does that matter do you get married and then stare going dates that don't make sense maybe you actually believe that at all I have to do is just keep coming to church and paying my tithes and I'm good with God I gave him my money he don't say that about what I'm doing you honestly think that's what God is after you actually believe that your tithe is going to appease God's holiness come on and for those that grew up in church you're without excuse you don't even have a reason to do the stuff that you do you know you got some people they don't repent they just show back up and start trying to live holy like everybody else ain't never got saved last time you saw him they was out there clubbing and and paying $7 for drinks and doing all of this but then next thing you know they got a suit on that church and you're trying to figure out you can't just show back up you gotta repent of your sins you gotta be saved and today maybe there's somebody here maybe you are backslider I'm calling you out out of your seat come on out of that place I want you to come maybe you tried to live this life and you didn't have the Holy Ghost and you ended up going back to that old stuff you used to do listen I want you to come come on come on come on if you need somebody to grab them by the hand and ask them if they'll walk you this way they'll do it come on come on if you need the Lord I want you to come now and this time I want you to make a commitment to God that you will not go back to where he brought you from all come on come on come on come on somebody else needs to be here they're coming come on they're coming they're coming I'm tired I'm going up and down up
