world lord but father we thank you because you not only sent your son to die lord but we thank you because on the third day we know that he rose again lord we thank you because he rose in our life one day lord we thank you cause he rose in our situation dear god we thank him for sending power from on high lord and father maybe someone here on today doesn't know you in a life changing way lord we're praying that you don't allow us to leave the same way that we came on today lord but father we're praying that you would save the living set free on today god oh i wish i had to pray in church today we're praying that you were baptized with the holy ghost in that with the burning fire god move however you see fit to move on today dear god father we want to say thank you for our leaders and the person of apostle hermannel murray thank you for his wife lady danielle dick i continue to strengthen them as only you can lord now father we pray that you're just me that you never need in the house on today lord we're praying that you'll come in and heal sick bodies like only you can work miracles where miracles need to be worked and we'll be so careful to give your name all the glory all the eighth chapter and we'll read verses one through nine and as our custom is i'll begin at verse one we'll alternate until we get to verse nine and we'll read verse nine altogether amen amen matthew eight and 1 it says when he was come down from the mountain great multitudes followed him congregation and jesus put forth his hand and touched him saying i will be thou clean and immediately his leprosy was cleansed verse 4. amen that was a typo in the text message matthew 28th chapter let's go to matthew 28 amen i was sure wondering why we was coming from matthew the eighth chapter [Music] and the end of the sabbath as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week came mary magdalene and the other mayor to see the supporter verse 2. his countenance was like lightning there we go and it's raining white as snow verse 4. and the angel answered and said unto the women fear not ye for i know that ye seek jesus which was crucified verse 6. and go quickly and tell his disciples that he guests we have multiple services during during the week and they are as follows sunday morning service begins at 11am with the gates opening at 9 30 am sunday school is held in the main sanctuary only at 10 a.m sunday saturday and tuesday night services begin at 7 30 p.m with the gates opening at 6 30 and prayer services held every tuesday and saturday night at 7 pm also we are practicing social distancing and we highly encourage the use of masks our water fountains are currently out of service and as we fellowship we just ask that we are all cautious and being mindful of gathering in large kind of preacher read and how shall they preach and how shall they preach except they be said this have to be said as it is written we got a whole lot of folk preaching ain't been sent the arena still say you're bound can't nobody live that preacher i don't care what what kind of train he carries he ain't been sent by god when you get sanctified when you get filled with the holy ghost whether you preach the word of god you preach perfection you preach wholeness you preach deliverance you believe in shame man you don't have excuses ah you may be weak you may be undone but the man i'm talking look beautiful read how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace real and bring glad tidings green glass and the good news is you don't have to stand to shape you in you can be delivered you believe it say mine if i want them places and the gospel didn't change my life didn't do nothing to me i'd move you believe in shame i want something to deliver me i want something satisfied time to change my life make me fret and fit for the kingdom of god you believe it share mine read but they have not all obeyed the god but they have not obliged the gospel for isaiah said to that 15th through the 26th verses amen that's saint matthew's gospel chapter number 27 verse amen number 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 and 26 amen i was talking to a great friend of mine and he we were talking about ministry and and which way the lord was leading us and he asked me are you are you going do you feel like god would just have you to to speak traditionally because you know doing themed services like this you got a lot of folks they want a sermon that's going to kill them you know got a lot of people here i got to give them the best i can give them and you know got to make sure we pull out the good one when when the crowd gets there but i just feel like the lord wants me to tell you what this is all about amen amen they ain't got no fancy title and ain't preaching about hanging that jesus and and all that no if that's somebody else's sermon i hope they give it the best they got that that ain't what i got for you today amen i just need to tell you what all of this is about amen i'm i'm of the understanding that people that come to church on days like this they may not be back when mother's day they'll be here and you know but while you got their attention hey man i'm not here to make a name for myself if you don't know my name and you remember this church that's fine with me as long as you know who he is you'll be okay amen amen i've had people tell me they were members of the church and didn't even know they were talking to the pastor but that's that's all right man if you don't know who i am i'm not really that important just as long as you know who he is amen that's your entrance into the kingdom don't get to heaven trying to use my name they gonna laugh at you up there amen but if you get there and you got him he said i'm the way then he said i'm the door if you know him you can get in don't try to name drop cause my name don't mean nothing up there as a matter of fact when i get there my name means so little he gonna give me a new one he's gonna give me a name that means something cause this one down here don't mean nothing to nobody so when you get up there don't go up there talking about brother herman no that ain't gonna get you in you better know who he is because he can get you in amen amen matthew 27 and 15 when you haven't seen amen and the bible gives us this intelligence now at the feast the governor was want to release unto the people a prisoner whom they would they had then a notable prisoner called barabbas therefore when they were gathered together pilate said unto them whom will ye that i release unto you barabbas or jesus which is called christ for he knew that for in thee they had delivered him when he was set down on the judgment seat his wife sent unto him saying have thou nothing to do with that just man for i have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him but the chief priest and eldest persuaded the multitude that they should ask barabbas and destroy jesus the governor answered and said unto them weather of the twin will ye that i release unto you they said barabbas pilate said unto them what shall i do then with jesus which is called christ they all say unto him let him be crucified the governor said why what evil had he done but they cried out more saying let him be crucified when pilate saw that he could not prevail but that rather a tumult was made he took water and washed his hands before the multitude saying i am the innocent of the blood of this just person see ye to it then answered all the people and said his blood be on us and own our children then release the barabbas unto them and when he had scourged jesus he delivered him to be crucified let's stop there if you'll notice the 22nd verse pilate saith unto them what shall i do then with jesus which is called christ just look at somebody and ask of what shall we do with jesus that's what i pilate asked a question 2 000 years ago that rings in the hearts and the lives of all of us today what are we gonna do with jesus i think it is the greatest honor of our lives to be able to to know to live in and to understand the fact of god's love for us to know that he loves us think about that sometimes because we're we're in a day at a time when the bible declares that the love of so many people would wax cold and we're seeing that happen right now people don't like nobody they so mean and nasty they don't even like themselves you wonder why they don't love you some folk have a hard time loving themselves you love your neighbor as you love yourself and if you don't love yourself i'm hard-pressed to believe that you got the strength to love anybody else focus throwing people away but it's so good it's so refreshing to know that he loves us when we read the pages of the word of god we see his manifested love for us written down through the history of mankind how he has dealt with us and how mankind in turn has dealt with god we see how that god was not simply satisfied amen to leave us alienated from his fellowship but god constantly and consistently courted men to bring them back into a right place with him and yet in still they chose their way over his as a matter of fact it's isaiah 53 and 6 i believe says all we like sheep have gone astray we have chose everyone our own way that's what we wanted we wanted our way and you know it's that same way now even after jesus has come amen we are still as mankind as a whole amen man would still choose their way over his way and you know it's amazing because you see it as far back as the book amen of joshua when joshua says to the people if it seems evil unto you amen then choose you this day whom you're going to serve amen you notice that people amen are still faced with that choice now amen they think that it's evil to serve the lord and you've got a lot of people i guess there's at least about two or three of them in here right now amen have known the way of god have known the way of truth but yet and still we choose day after day our own way amen we're not ready yet to submit to god we're not ready yet amen to give god our life and our time our energy our efforts amen everything that we are we are still rather amen to choose our way over god's way amen and because we understand it now amen we can see how hard sin is on us amen sons and daughters of the kingdom you've got to understand that sin is still a hard task master amen if you look at the people that are bound in sin you look at the things they meant that have men bowed and i'm telling you now there are people that are crying out for deliverance and just have not yet found amen deliverance for themselves amen they're trying counseling they're trying amen hypnosis they're trying he meant drugs and medication but what we've got to come to the understanding of is that at the end of the day he meant there's only one problem amen and there's one solution to the one problem sin is the problem but jesus is the solution amen he's the answer to everything i have gonna tell you he meant he's the answer to everything that you can go through amen for those that are bound by drugs he is a habit breaker are you hearing what i'm trying to tell you he can loose you from addiction he meant for those that are bound amen by lifestyles amen that are not pleasing in the sight of god i want you to know amen that god can break you out of that amen for those that don't know how amen to get out of the place that you're in you've got to know amen that jesus is the one that's still able to set men free and if the son therefore would make you free that you are truly free indeed but you've got to know that sin is a hard task master amen it will ruin your life down here in this world and then when you die amen the bible still declares that the wages of sin is death can i tell your brothers and sisters amen there's only one thing you have to look forward to amen if indeed you're still willing to serve self and sin amen and choose your way over his way and you know what we look at the bible record and we see that even when they were corrected amen they were not necessarily converted amen they came to the place of regret but not conversion amen so god would take them through and because of their sin amen they would have a momentary amen lapse if you would of sin but then they would find themselves going right back into it because there was nothing about the law amen that could make men truly free and perfected so that they would not sin against god amen but god had a plan look at somebody and tell them god had a plan amen and it didn't matter amen how strong the desire to live right was man could not make himself right with god and neither can we in this day and in this hour i need you to know it today you cannot make yourself right with god amen you know you hear people saying if you stop doing this and you stop doing that even if you cut this out then you can go to heaven amen no don't tell people that amen tell them they got to be saved in order to go to heaven because what you have now is a situation where people feel like being morally good is going to get them there amen they feel like if i don't do this amen then god's going to let me in but can i tell you sons and daughters it's not about what you can do amen there's nothing about you that can make you ready enough and right enough amen to go back with jesus when it comes you've got to accept the sacrifice amen that was made at calvary you've got to know it satan don't want to let you go and there's somebody oh god they would give sacrifices to god amen and try to do it the best that they could but they couldn't meet god's standard and you've got people today that still think they can get close to god by the works that they produce that's why they brag about being deacons and husses you ask them now you're saved honestly to the choir that's real good but it's just so right with god amen my granddaddy enough for god honey i give big time good thank god for your path amen but if you think you're going to buy your way into heaven you've got another thing coming he says you come with that money and that of the son of god we look at this and people act like this is this is just fairy tale but god gave us his that's right god loved us so much that he gave his son to die and that we all learned it amen when we went sunday school saint john 3 and 16 says what for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whatsoever in him so we all know of the fact of his love god loved us so much that he gave his only begotten son to die for us i've met people amen that have five sons and six sons and they wouldn't give none of them for nobody but he gave his only begotten son to die for us so that you could be saved somebody died so that i could live how does that impact your life knowing that the only reason you're alive it's because somebody died for you how can you live any because of his sacrifice and yet and still acting as if we don't care at all about what it costs god sent his son he walked through this sin cursed world and he showed us how much god loved us how much god desired fellowship with us every time he healed a sick man he was showing us the love of god every time he opened the eyes of a blind man he was showing us the love of god every time he cleans a leper he was showing us the love and the concern that god had for us every time he raised the dead man back to life that was his way of expressing to us the truth that god loved mankind and he did it knowing that there would be people who would not love him back the bible says it we heard it last night brother copeland told us that for good people you may find a few folk that'll die for righteous man some would even dare to die but god commanded his love to watch us and hear me in that while we were yet sinners he died for us did you hear me for the crack had he died for the liar he on your savior and mine and then the bible said they began to buffet him about and then they blindfolded jesus and the bible says they began to slap him across his face and when they slapped them they said if you're really the son of god then prophesy and tell us who hit you but the bible says that he did not say a mumbling and now he finds himself standing before pilate and the bible says pilate knows that the only reason why he is there is because they are envious that all men are coming to him the bible said that while he's there it was this time of year that the governor was want to release a prisoner whom the people chose and you know if you read your bible you'll find out some stuff we're sitting up because of what we saw on january 6th people now know the word insurrection that they never knew the word insurrection all the days of their life we know what that means they tried to take hope they tried to overthrow there's been insurrections happening all last year they've been assaulting courthouses and everything else nobody said nothing we know what insurrection is all about did you know the bible said barabbas was guilty of insurrection he was one of the ones that was trying to overthrow the government he was guilty of insurrection the bible says pilate says we have barabbas he's a murderer he's somebody guilty he's got blood on his hands he's here then we have given us forever look at you always saying nothing and you know what when you choose sin there's only one more decision to make there's only one more question to answer if you want sin if you want your way there's only one more question that we got to grapple with you won't sin you won't you want your way you you want the pleasures of this world you want carnality you want all of that there's only one thing left to deal with what do we do with jesus that's what you want then there's only one more question to answer what do we do with with jesus and you know what they said crucify pilate said why why would you want to kill jesus what evil has it done and that's what joshua said if it seems evil unto you to serve the lord then choose the and you've still got people thinking that it's evil to serve the lord and it's good to serve themselves that's why they talk about you for being saved that's why they looked at you funny when you were out there smoking dope and sniffing coke they demon possessed or y'all didn't got christ that he cashed devils out of where were they why didn't we hear their voices where in the world were all of those people who just four days earlier were crying out hosanna blessed is he that comes in the name of the lord while were all of those people who were throwing their coats down just for him no walk on now they said crucified oh god you know what pilate said see to it the bible said pilate went and got some water and he started washing his hands and when he washed his hands symbolically he said i'm i'm innocent this man's blood his blood is not on my hands but then the bible says but he consented with the can i tell you some sons and daughters ain't nobody on the fence ain't none of us on the sideline if you don't make a decision for him you i said if you didn't make a decision for him you can't sit there and say i'm innocent oh no no you're not you can't consent to it and then declare your own innocence the only way are you always saying nothing you can't declare to be innocent of nothing and you are consenting to it look at him and the bible says as he consents to the death of jesus christ that he tells him go ahead and they used in punishment and these are weighted bales at the end with a spike sticking out and sometimes they would have pieces of glass or bone mixed in and can you imagine a romans i know the jews had had had a saying that said you you couldn't be overbearing and so they thought 40 stripes that that was the limit that a man could take and so what they would do they would always say 40 stripes save one because just in case you miscounted while you were beating a person they didn't want you to go over 40 on accident and so they would cause men to be beaten with 39 stripes i don't know because the bible doesn't say that he was necessarily beat with 39 but these are romans these ain't jews did they have that kind of courtesy they took a cat of nine tails and i don't have no volunteers today nobody's coming up here to let me demonstrate on you no takers can you imagine them the bible said they strip his clothes out put a rope and then they tie him to a whippet can you imagine that whipping post already black from all the blood that had been shed there and they took your savior and my savior and tied him to the post and with all of the anger that that roman soldier could muster up can you imagine them beating a man until his back is bloody his back is open every time they take this and go down his back it shreds his skin oh god can you imagine every time they they pull it back how pieces of skin would fly oh god can you imagine your savior and mine standing there in a pool in a puddle of his own blood because somebody beat his back open that's why he said i want you to remember this because he did this for you every time they hit him he never said word the bible said like a sheep dumb before his shearers he didn't say a word while that man with all the bad intentions that he could muster up would shred his back over and over and over again without mercy and he did it for you and me the bible said after they beat him can you imagine him being so weak because life is in the blood and if life is in the blood that means he's got a whole lot of life on the ground around his feet the bible said they beat him and after they beat him they platted a crown of thorns put a crown of thorns on his head um your savior and my savior your king is that what that's what they call in you your king is that is that who they think you are well every king needs a crown look at him mocking your savior mind the bible said they took thorns and if they beat him as bloody as they did they slapped him like they did and isaiah said they would pluck his beard out if they did all of that i don't think they had any good intentions with a crown of thorns do you oh i don't think they would just set it up there just so that you could see it and look at it i believe that even this was a punishment for them can you imagine them setting this on the head of jesus christ and just taking reach and then just pressing it down until these thorns broke off in his god until they broke off in his scalp and he's sitting there now blood is pouring out of his head and he's still not saying nothing and look at him now he's got a crown let's bow down hell king of the jews look at him mocking your savior and my savior and he stood there and he took it just for you look at him y'all he's beaten the bible said he was marred worse than any other man they never seen nobody like this they've never seen nobody beating this bad nobody marred look at him just this figured his back is open and now he's standing there with a crown of thorns on his head and they're bowing down mocking him adding insult to injury then pilate said y'all don't beat him all right crucified crucifixion said it before one of the worst ways to die do you know it would take days for people to die crucifixion was so cruel it was a way of suffocating you to death you would hang until you couldn't breathe and because you couldn't breathe now you had to push up but because there were nails in your feet every time you pushed up to catch a breath pain would go through your body but as long as you were hanging there it put pressure on your lungs you couldn't hardly breathe which is why everything he said on the cross was so short i thirst woman behold thy son everything he says is short because he's hanging and he can't breathe suffocating to death trying to get that next breath but the only way you can get it is to push up on your legs but you got nails in your feet and every time you do that you can only stay up for slow and then you gotta drop again and you're suspended and you're hanging this is a cruel way to die the bible said cursed is anything that hangs on the tree oh but look at him y'all that roman soldier i'm telling you you didn't hardly see cruelty like this i i think about the assyrians maybe but but the romans were some cruel people they would take nails and can you imagine a soldier who was so callous that he could take a nail and send it through a man's flesh and never flinch blood going everywhere but it didn't bother him just hit it as hard as you can can you imagine they're making a game out of it i bet you can't send it through with one hit and jesus laid there while they put a spike in his hand and drove it through his flesh stretched him and did the other hand then put a nail in his feet they lifted him up and he suspended now let me hasten to close he's there on one side a thief is saying if you really who you say you all come down and get us down to on the other side there's a man saying we got what we deserved but jesus when you come into your kingdom just remember me what you see in the middle you see the way what you see on the left side is a man who lost his way what you see on the right side is a man that found the way and what i love about jesus is that everything that he was about concerned the salvation of souls everything that's why i was all about this cross i'm reminded when he was on the mount of transfiguration the bible said there appeared unto him moses and elijah and they talked with him you know the bible tells us what they talked about you know that the bible said they talked to jesus about how he had to go to jerusalem and about his decease about the fact that he was going to die it's so appropriate that moses and elijah because moses represents the law elijah represents the prophets and here you have the law and the prophets all pointing and talking about the fact of the cross jesus said you searched the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life but these are they that testify of me everything hinges on the cross everything before it looked forward to the cross everything since then looks back to the cross everything is about the cross the bible said he hung that from the sixth to the ninth hour and he died he took him down from the cross and they buried him in joseph of arimathea's brand new tomb in a tomb where never a man laid oh and i hear people talk about it but jesus is clear he said i'll be in the grave and there's one scripture that that blows up all of this this narrative they got jesus said i'll be there three days and three nights well y'all done got quiet now i don't care how you twisted friday or sunday ain't three days and three nights now the church well good friday well if he died on it then what's so good about it you read the book of exodus the bible said they chose him on the first day of the week the passover lamb they kept him until the 14th to the fourth day and then they killed him on the well y'all don't get quiet now so if you choose him on the 10th palm sounded when they chose it you keep him until the 14th monday is the 11th tuesday the 12th wednesday is the 13th and thursday's what and the bible victory oh death where is that sting the sting of death is seen and the strength of sin is the law but thanks be to god which giveth us the victory through our lord jesus christ therefore my beloved brethren in the work of the lord for as much as you know your labor is not in vain i heard paul say they want to know how the dead coming up and how they gonna be resurrected he said listen what goes is written where is that victory the sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law but i thank god i have the victory i wish i could find somebody that'll slap yourself a high five and
