welcome back to my channel scalar here with more build tips on and shrouded so you want to build a basement in shrouded that's right I said basement in this video I will show you how to do that let's get started now you would think the rake would allow you to manipulate the terrain and let you dig down the rake is only to level terrain so you'll be able to level your terrain bring it up to whatever level it is here that you're leveling it to and that way you can have level terrain to build on so the rake not your option the hammer is going to be your option so you're going to want to take your Hammer have a foundation equipped you're going to remove that Foundation by removing that Foundation it actually cut into the terrain so now what you can do here is you can clip down as you can see you see I clipped down into the terrain so if you put a block there and then remove this one remove this one another block there so if I remove that block and that block then the terrain has actually gone down even more so what we're going to do here is we're going to keep doing that while you're digging down and clearing up your terrain you'll be able to keep going with your foundation to a lower level and you'll be able to keep eating out the terrain doesn't say I have enough room if you keep working the the foundation eventually you'll get it to snap into the [Music] dirt [Music] [Music] n [Music] and then at the same time it would allow you to build walls down here too so instead of having a dirt wall you can have a brick wall now these walls I put in with a foundation you can put it in with the foundation or you can put it in with the wall wall is uh a lot cheaper than a foundation to build so I'm going to clip this right into the foundation on the edge of the foundation up against the wall bring it up like that I think I had it clipped down then we'll come over here we'll cut out a little bit more of this Trin like so oops this is the fastest way to it to terrain so that you can dig under and build a basement or you want to build a hobbit base [Music] underground so then we're going to place some walls here finish this off see where my clip point is and again with the wall so you got a couple different clip points as you can see you've got this clip point and then you got that clip point this is the inside of the foundation and that's the outside of the foundation as far as you can clip to so I'm going to clip to the outside of that Foundation that way it's all nice and even we're going to put another one here and to fill in the floor on the top as I removed it uh we're going to drop in a set of stairs so that we can get out of here yeah so we'll kind of clip these together because if I go down I mean I can clip it down in the ground or I can clip it up there either way that'll finish off my stairs and have to remove that so it don't look so and then I'll put a a half of Foundation here as you see you can do half full half a foundation here we'll actually do another half of foundation here and then for this section here we're going to do like half walls try to get a half wall down in here nice and cozy little basement and that's how you edit terrain to build a basement and enshrouded if you learned something in this video leave a like comment and subscribe this is scalar Sam thanks for [Music] watching
