[Music] let's start with the word of Prayer God my father all I am is dust and ashes without Jesus Christ so I pray that you'll please fill within me the power of your Holy Spirit and wash away my sins with your holy blood and bless tonight's teach and father God we especially need the power of your name the power of your blood and your holy presence to shelter us because I'm going to teach a topic tonight and even a Bible study something that'll be pretty dark so I pray that you'll please protect the on liners protect our church and protect the speaker in Jesus name we pray amen all right so some of you are wondering what is it so we're tonight we're going to be talking about demonology demonology there will be no notes for this one there will be no notes for this one because I'm going to be pretty much be writing on the board at a pace where you can keep up and this will be our last discipleship all right now two books that I would recommend concerning demonology but I would say take it with a grain of salt please be very careful Kurt caulk is the authority on a cult he's a very famous person who's an authority on the cult so as we talk about demonology tonight one book is by Kurt caulk his book is called a cult ABC a cult ABC the other bucking it is under the name of Walter Martin they use Walter Martin's name for this one and then the guy who's very famous online now Ravi Zacharias so they use these two names I believed for their book kingdom of the occult so it's not kingdom of the cults its kingdom of the occult so it's a different book these two books I would recommend if you are curious about studying the occult now for there will be no notes online now I would recommend as I mentioned to you you on liners you get a break because you have this book right or did you forget so you bought this book remember God's answers to man's question so I'm gonna be mostly going by this material but as I go through this material right here I'm going to be giving some revisions ok so I'm going to give some Corrections so as we go through this together I'm gonna give you my version of it but if you have the book then you are blessed so just follow along as best as you can through the book now as we cover this the first thing we're going to be covering right here is that we're going to be covering the origin of demons the origin of demons now as we cover the origin of demons I want to first cover the definition so let's let that be the first point here the definition so demons now you must understand this the word demon is not an English word the word demon comes from a Greek word dime Anyang so no I'm just gonna write from memory I don't remember my Greek here so [Music] okay so this is probably incorrect so you don't want to write this down this I'm just remembering from Greek forum ten years ago okay so dime a dime Oni on this word in Greek is actually used in a positive sense not a negative sense so that's why the King James Bible this is very important to understand modern Bibles what is very dangerous about them is that when they talk about demons they use the word demon they do not use the word devil so the King James Bible however they will use the word devil the King James Bible uses the word devil you might say why is that the reason why is because devil number one is an accurate translation from Greek to English or Hebrew to English it's the word devil that's an English word however demon is actually a transliterated word it's like four ample Hades that the modern Bibles will say modern versions will say Hades rather than hell well Hades is a Greek word that's a transliterated word that's not even a translated word so demon is actually more of a transliterated word it's like the word baptized baptized is actually not an English word either that's from the word baptizo so anyways as we cover the word die money on that's a Greek word used in a positive sense you might say why is that because as you read ancient Greek philosophers these people who believed in different gods they also talked about demons so where they talk about gods in a positive sense they also use the same thing with the word demon you must understand why because demon now remember philosophy when they talk about philosophy the origins of philosophy that they'll cover who are the first group of people that they'll usually talk about when they start talking about philosophy the Greeks right now philosophy it means lover of wisdom that's what it means lover of wisdom that's why demons were used in a positive sense by the ancient Greeks because demons was referring to some kind of spirit that granted wisdom so you can understand this that's why the King James Bible does not use the word demon because think about it if they use the word demon during the ancient Hebrew and the ancient Greek times what do you think that the Greek readers or the Jewish writers when the Greek philosophers came out what do you think they would have taken that word to mean they would have taken that to mean something positive see that something positive so the thing is this is that that's why it's more accurate to say devil in English now here's the thing is that today we're in the modern century in this modern century when we talk about demons we know what that means so we're not gonna be nitpicky about that but when we're talking about the Word of God right here where you have to translate it and I'm talking about accurate translation not transliteration basis one basis number two that there's not a misunderstanding during the ancient biblical times it should be devil and if you have a modern version that says demon then you don't want something that's used as a positive sense how God would think of it as a positive sense so you got to realize this God sees it more as a negative sense and when you see devil that would be more looked at as something negative so modern versions they are somehow influenced a little bit of the occultic mindset perhaps you should pray and think about that for a while but anyway so devil is a more accurate term but like I said because now we're in the modern century we don't make a big deal about that so we're not going to be nitpicking and say dude you're demon possessed for saying demon well why would you say demon possessed then right so we're not going to be nitpicky about that but again if you're gonna go from what the biblical context is during that time then you better not put the word demon there that's not what God's thought that time what God was thinking was something negative a devil he's not thinking like humans see how we would perceive demons today in the modern century or like the ancient Greeks during their time so that's why it's important to understand that now because we established this definition the word devil it comes from the devil himself that's pretty interesting so now we can see the origin right here so let's talk about the origin of demons so this is going to be intensely interesting if you want to see an expanded version on this one I have it online it's called theory on the origin of demons theory on the origin of demons you can watch that video online now as we talk about the origin the key is this this definition is a getaway car for this being right here so who is the devil that is Lucifer that's his name now as we cut before I explain to you this theory of the origin there are several theories out there that we're going to cover the most popular theory which we disagree with is concerning about the Fallen Angels right here the Fallen Angels look at Revelation please revelation Revelation chapter 12 please Revelation chapter 12 the most popular theory is that when Satan rebelled against God Almighty a third of the Angels fell with him and Satan became the devil and the fallen angels became Devils or demons themselves so again we're not gonna be nitpicky I'm just gonna use the more popular word demons for the sake of this study okay so anyways as we continue on right here that kind of theory is actually we start we Bible believers strongly disagree with that one now we actually I'm gonna give the possibility it is possible they may have gotten into a transformed state that's possible however we tend to not agree with that teaching because the reason why is we covered this teaching a long time ago but we're gonna cover in this one as we cover Revelation chapter 12 look at this verse right here verse 9 and the Great Dragon was cast out that old serpent called notice the devil and Satan which deceiveth the whole world he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him now the problem was the theory however is that the fallen angels this takes place at Revelation chapter 12 its future so because of this that's why we disagree with this idea now I'm going to give a possibility to this idea though let's look at Matthew chapter 25 Matthew 25 and then I want you to go to mark chapter 6 we're gonna look at mark chapter I believe it's 5 not 6 we're gonna look at mark chapter 5 mark chapter 5 and then we're gonna look at Matthew 25 Matthew 25 and Mark chapter 5 now look at Matthew chapter 25 and then we'll read right here verse 41 Matthew 25 verse 41 so this opens up the possibility that these fallen angels may have transformed into Devils or demons now as you watch my as you listen to my earlier audio recordings or videos I do not believe it I strongly disagree with that one in this video because I want to try to cover all bases as much as I can I'm gonna give out a possibility just for this video so look at verse 41 then shall he sail then shall he say also unto them on the left hand depart from me ye cursed into everlasting fire now notice who hell is prepared for the devil and is what angels now look at mark chapter 5 please mark chapter 5 mark chapter 5 and then we'll read verse 8 verse 8 for he said unto him come out of the man thou unclean spirit so there's a demon right there but look at verse 7 right here look at verse 7 and he cried with a loud voice and said what have I to do with thee Jesus thou son of the Most High God I adjure thee by God that thou what torment me not now if you look at other Gospels it mentions about that don't torment me before our time so it shows right here that this devil right here he's recognizing that hell was prepared for him so this seems like right here that this devil is synonymous with a fallen angel so it gives that possibility now I'm going to explain my disagreement later on though I'm gonna give it later on but let's cover now the second theory because I want to cover all theories here's another possibility which is very interesting it may be the spirits of the Nephilim spirits of the Nephilim or the Fallen Angels take your pick now you might say what do you mean by that preacher what happened is that when we look at Genesis chapter 6 look at justice 6 please Genesis chapter 6 and then I want you to write down mark chapter 5 mark chapter 5 we already read that passage so we won't repeat it but I want you to write it down mark five seven through eight and then we're also going to look at Genesis six let me know if I'm out of bounds on both cameras all right Genesis chapter 6 now look at this one right here verse 4 there were giants in the earth in those days and also after that when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men and they bare children to them the same became mighty men which were of old men of renown now notice that these Nephilim so the Nephilim some of you who don't know these were referring to these giants or the supernatural beings that were born from the intermingling of fallen angels and humans so what happened God said that at verse 7 and the Lord said I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth both man and beast and the creeping thing and the fowls of the air for it repented me that I have made them you'll also notice right here that verse 11 the earth also was corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence you'll notice verse 13 God said unto Noah the end of all flesh is come before me for the earth is filled with violence so notice right here any flesh that was born out of this which includes those beings God says that he's going to destroy them all now think about this is that after you die what happens well after you die verses 1 through 13 right here after you died the body dies the flesh dies what happens the spirit departs right so think about it if this if these were their bodies and these being died where did their spirits go it's natural that they would have a spirit now what did Mark chapter 5 sent it called it an unclean spirit concerning the demon or the devil so it is very possible that these could be referring to the spirits of these fallen beings not only that if you compare that with Matthew 25:41 God said it was prepared for these fallen angels and the devil said don't torment me before my time so think about this if that's the case right here then this might show a relay ship right here where it might be the spirit of these beings as well the spirits of the Fallen Angels so it could be the spirits of the Nephilim and fallen angels or either/or who died out in Noah's Flood which would make a lot of sense and it's very interesting the third theory which is what I'm more I'm more prone to believe in and this is something that I discovered actually so this one right here this is what I personally believe it's not doctrine it's not doctrine it's a theory so it can be up to you to decide we're gonna look at the book of Revelation and we're going to look at chapter let's see right here 16 please Revelation chapter 16 revelation 16 what I believe is this is that these are referring to the spirits from Satan himself you might say why is that the reason why is why are they called devil in the King James Bible they're called Devils as if they come from the devil himself now is there a passage that shows now remember what does the word spirit mean in our previous discipleship study it has to do with air breath so okay your job because you know so much Bible you jumped on a head and you spoiled the surprise okay so revelation revel this is the this is the disadvantage of knowing too much Bible the first time I'm discouraging people the first time I'm discouraging people to not study their Bibles you know of all things Revelation chapter 16 verse 13 and I saw three unclean spirits so we know those are referring to demons or Devils right alright three unclean spirits like what frogs come out of the mouth of the who dragon so it comes from Satan himself now notice it also comes from the offspring or the line of Satan as well out of the mouth of the Beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet so it has to do with literally as I mean unclean spirit unclean breath that comes out of somebody unclean like the devil himself so that would make a lot more sense because think about this Mille calls this unclean spirit right so that's a we see breath another thing right here is unclean or on Holy Spirit what's the opposite of unclean spirit or unholy spirit it's the Holy Spirit right so it's the opposite right here of the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit who is he from he's from God's breath right here he is God himself so think about this so we see right here that this is from the breath of God and then this one is from the breath of Satan himself so that's why it might make some sense in the for people who study the occult when they deal with Devils or demons it's as if they're talking to some mini version of Satan so even though they're not officially talking to Satan it's as if they have the same mind as Satan why because they might be synonymous here they might be synonymous with Satan right here just like the Holy Spirit he is everywhere inside the hearts of believers if the Holy Spirit can enter why not the unholy spirit which is a matter of fact in the Bible so that is my theory that is my theory right here which would make a lot more sense also in the occultic world why they would as if had the same synchronization with Satan because if they were like different fallen angels they might have some access with Satan or communication but they're not they're all different people but this one right here it's as if it's like there's a synchronization right here it's a mini version of him it might be something to this it's like the Holy Spirit right here he is one he is one with God the Father and God the Son there might be something to this okay so now that we established that fact let's now cover what is a demon or what is a so we covered the definition the more accurate definition is referring to devil not demon so we already covered that I'm not going to repeat it again so now what we're going to cover right here is now the meaning of a devil the meaning what is a devil so now that will be the third point right here so Devils this is why I disagree with the first theory right here so Devils are not angels so look at revelation 18 again revelation 18 notice that in the Bible right here it says what these Devils are Revelation chapter 16 and then notice in verse 13 I see and I saw three unclean spirits like what frogs okay that's an animal now think about it that's why it's interesting in the Book of Leviticus why God made a different category of unclean animals why would he do that because Satan he assimilates himself with a lot of a lot of unclean animals so to speak we're also going to look at Revelation chapter 18 Revelation chapter 18 now look at verse 2 right here verse 2 so these devils are liking two unclean animals unclean animals now what's more interesting is that when you read your Bible they are likened more toward weird creatures so these devils have wings as well devils they do have wings look at Revelation chapter 18 verse 2 and he cried mightily with a strong voice saying Babylon the Great is fallen is fallen and has become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and a cage of every unclean and hateful what bird so notice that right here so notice that Satan he is like an excuse me the devils or many versions of Satan that's kind of accurate - so the devils they are likened to unclean animals again now not only that as we look through the parable of the sower when we talk about the parable of the sower right here what did Jesus Christ say about these Devils that the unclean that these birds come down and eat up the seeds and that is likened to who that is the adversary Satan who comes inside and steals the Word of God so we see right here that they are likened to winget creatures again so these Devils are likened to winged a creatures the example is the parable of the sower as well as Revelation chapter 18 we are likened to unclean animals we've seen the proof at revelation 16 as well as chapter 18 so what is a folly which is very sad is that there are some people who actually talk about a certain parable where this tree grew up and became a mighty tree and these birds started to inhabit and live inside that tree so James Knox he actually teaches that that's something positive is because he but he knows what Bible believers and dr. Otteman taught that no this is a negative aspect but Knox he has a tendency where he likes he takes all of dr. Otteman x' book or other Bible believing books pretend they're his own and then he corrects them which is why I don't like Knox so I apologize to people online who may be in shock hearing that but people in my church saw him them already know my position on him I do not like Knox I even wrote against him period but anyway I'm not going to get on to Knox the point is this Knox he tries to put that as a positive aspect but remember we saw throughout the Bible these birds are what- there are devils right there so why would he try to make it like something positive he wants to act like smart but that turns out to be very folly now it's like he's supporting Devils now see so that's what God will do with you with your pride issue so be careful of that I don't like it when you when you didn't learn it yourself you learned it from other Bible believers and that includes people online as well who start their channel they see they learn from other Bible believers and then because they have a pride issue and a rebellious issue they don't go to a Bible believing Church and then they start something themselves and if you are a pastor you want to start your own movement in your own camp me I don't do that I'm bound by other preachers and other Bible believing preachers have given me advice and correction to me some of you think I'm arrogant and I don't listen to other people but you know why you think that because you think pastors are only online pastors that's your problem if you think pastors are only online pastors you're looking at a wrong world right there know I'm bound to other Bible believing preachers the reason why you think that I'm arrogant this is my only teaching is because mine's the only one that's online that's this much popularize other Bible believing preachers they don't focus on an internet ministry they're focusing on a church and on people that's what pastors are doing I only did it online because I'm in a Silicon Valley area and I realized the importance of the Internet so that's why I started out early but anyways here's the point the point is this is that so we see throughout the Bible that birds are a negative aspect so I don't know if I if we drop views just now but anyway so I think where it's still good right preacher I mean we're still good right there brother so okay then so I didn't lose yours all right anyways now let's talk about the Angels let's look at the book of Genesis please turn to Genesis the book of Genesis now we're going to look at the book of Genesis and then chapter 18 please Genesis chapter 18 now why aren't these Devils fallen angels because angels are not animals they're likened to men they're liken to men see men so animal is different from a man and if you want to put assimilate these two together then that's like kind of supporting evolution don't you think we're you know a man and animals they're they're related to each other so see I don't want so I don't like that idea so Bible believers have taught that angels are different from that's why I don't go by the first theory alright we're gonna look at Genesis chapter 18 and then we'll read verse 2 and he lifts up his eyes and looked and lo three men stood by him and when he saw them he ran to meet them from the tent door and bowed himself toward the ground ok so Abraham he sees three angels but the Bible calls him what three men correct not only that look up every verse in the Bible that talks about angels you'll always see them liken to a man you'll see that every time in the Bible whenever you mention you see the word angel it's like into a man that's why angels do not have wings to see that angels do not have wings but animals have wings right see so that makes more sense so that's why it makes more sense that these Devils what's who are they what are they they are unclean animals that's what they are and they have wings okay so now that we establish these fact concerning these devils let's look at other points concerning right here concerning these devils we're going to look at Matthew chapter 8 and verse 16 and then we're going to look at Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 Matthew chapter 8 verse 16 and as well as Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 so spiritual warfare is real so I don't know if you watched my video on demonic attacks that should have been part of your homework assignment so I hope that you watch that video demonic attacks but that will give you an idea about spiritual warfare alright so that I strongly recommend that video that way you can arm yourself against spiritual attacks but so I'm not gonna be covering a lot of spiritual attacks here I'm just gonna give you an outline of it so let's look at the nature of these devils look at Matthew chapter 8 and then we'll read verse 16 the Bible says right here when the even was come they brought unto Him many that were noticed possessed with devils and he cast out the spirits with his word and he all that were six so notice right here that as we come to the next point concerning these Devils we're going to be talking about the nature now the nature of these Devils notice that the nature of these Devils is to possess you they want to possess you and Jesus Christ he casted them out by his own word of his mouth now let's look at Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 he fishes chapter 6 verse 12 that's why it is very important that a Christian must be fully armed if he is not fully armed he doesn't know that what kind of dark powers he's going to deal with these beings are not something you can attack physically science is not going to you can have all the nooks and the weapons and have all the scientific knowledge to use gamma radiation or lasers or whatever but that's not going to work on them you know why because Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 says for we wrestle not against flesh and blood see totally out of your league but against principalities against powers against the rulers of the darkness of this world against notice spiritual wickedness in high places so notice right here that according to Ephesians chapter 6 and verse 12 that we are supposed to realize that we are to arm ourselves we rep they are not flesh and blood these are not flesh and blood so you got to watch out for these creatures to attack these creatures you got to go on a spiritual plane a spiritual level right here so using psychology listen up now psychology is not going to help one of your patients who is suffering some sort of demonic oppression there or demon possession all the medicine that you can use may calm down the body or whatever that's not going to cure the demons inside see that you have to use spiritual tactic spiritual warfare that is not going to help you can use some physical things to help you in the meantime but that's not going to cure it you need a spiritual you need holy spirit power all right another thing concerning about the nature of these demons that's why it's they're very dangerous creatures so you don't want to mess with these guys demons what they're notice is that they're intelligent beings look at second Corinthians chapter 11 second Corinthians chapter 11 and verse 14 second Corinthians chapter 11 verse 14 and then we're also going to turn to Luke chapter four verse 34 Luke chapter four and verse 34 Luke 434 these are intelligent beings by the way we what did the Greeks think about demons remember wisdom right spirits of wisdom that's why they were communicating with all kinds of wicked stuff you got to watch out for that got to watch out for that these are intelligent beings so intelligent beings they are based upon these following verses they are based upon 2nd Corinthians 11:14 notice the verse says no marvel Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light so remember Satan is the devil small Devils they come from him it'll be natural that they have the power of transformation themselves so they have something in them they also they're very intelligent they can look innocent like an angel and our thing is Luke chapter 4 verse 34 Luke chapter 4 and verse 34 now we're not going to turn to these other verses but you can look at Genesis chapter 3 verse 1 the verse talks about the serpent being more subtle than any other creature so notice that this particular unclean animal was more intelligent than all the other animals out there and then also mark chapter 5 verse 10 you'll see that these devils they have a personality they talk they're not some kind of energy or force a lot of atheists and I don't know about the Java witnesses I know Java witnesses do not believe the Holy Spirit is God as a person they believe he's just some kind of force but these devils are not just some kind of energy or force these are personalities here they have intelligence all right Luke chapter 4 verse 34 notice saying let us alone what have we to do with thee thou Jesus is Nazareth art thou come to destroy us I know the who thou art the Holy One of God see these devils no so they have a they have a lot more smarts than today's liberal college-educated PhD fat-headed professors who think they're so intelligent but they don't know that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh but these devils they're not that dumb they're intelligent enough to know oh no we know who you are we know who you are they are represented as we saw before we've seen it that they are known as being morally unclean they are known as being morally unclean and some we saw one verse but then look we can establish some other verses right here you can write these verses down they they are Matthew chapter 10 verse 1 Matthew chapter 10 verse 1 they're also mark chapter 1 verse 27 mark chapter 1 verse 27 Romans chapter 6 verse 13 Romans chapter 6 verse 13 and as well as Luke chapter 8 verse 27 Luke chapter 8 verse 27 so I'm not going to write these verses down so notice that race this one right here so notice right here they are known as morally unclean so you're telling me that these guys are positive beings that you can communicate with so if you're into the occult and you think oh it's cool that I can communicate with a demon or a devil those Greek philosophers they thought demon was something positive as a spirit of wisdom but the Bible showed you know D are morally unclean don't dabble with them do you understand that church don't dabble with them you read Harry Potter that's just a gateway to something up something very just a gateway to something you don't want to dabble with Eve dabbled with one of them at Genesis 3 verse 1 look what happened you think we're a happy world you see the tragedy we go through death famine starvation all because of what one little dabble with the devil don't dabble with these guys they deceive you they trick you I'm a nice creature they will display themselves through Pokemon characters to make themselves look very innocent and cute don't dabble with them period see that these are deceptive creatures do you think Satan appeared as a serpent where it's like all scary and that you would run away or something very attractive and beautiful like oh this cannot be a horrible creature o serpent you look like Pikachu oh what a cute character and watch out man watch out alright another thing right here is that these creatures let's look at mark chapter 5 mark chapter 5 these creatures are known to have superhuman strength so when they possess you they do something really bad ok don't dabble with them look at mark chapter 5 mark chapter 5 and then we'll read verse 4 mark chapter 5 and then we'll read verse 4 I don't know why my ink is running out okay mark chapter 5 and verse 4 notice that they give superhuman strength that's why a lot of them want to make a deal with the devil a lot of them want to make a contract or a pact or be a witch or an occultist or a sorcerer make some kind of deal why to give you power notice right here verse 4 because that he had often yet been often bound with fetters and chains and the chains had been plucked asunder by him and the fetters broken in pieces neither could any man tame him see that right there that's something demonic and strange not only that if you look throughout the verses now look at all the verses in the Bible where Jesus Christ heal sicknesses and diseases now when Jesus Christ healed sicknesses and diseases you know it's very interesting right here concerning physical sickness as well as mental sickness it's not a listener this is not a natural biological scientific thing by the way psychology a lot of it is pseudoscience anyway so how about that but anyway I'll cover that later all right but the thing is this is that a lot of mental and physical things concerning sicknesses is not something that can be done through medicine or something you can experiment and test it is actually demons it's actually Devils look at the cases where Jesus Christ heals some blind man who was blinded or a woman who could not speak the dumb and the Bible says he casted out the unclean spirits that's what he says concerning those sicknesses how about that look at mark 5 we looked at this this guy he had a mental condition here do you think that he could be locked up at the insane asylum right here no the chains could not even hold him how about that see so a lot of it you got to be careful right here it could be demons right here now this is not to say every physical sickness and every mental condition out there is Devils alright demon possession you don't want to do that you got to be very careful because you got to realize this is that a lot with that with our fallen sinful state it causes these diseases within our mind and within our bodies you understand that a brain cannot function unless the brain gets sick right so these are real real genuine natural processes but not everything is a natural process you don't understand that too not everything is a natural process and not only that you don't even know if something spiritual was the first cost to those natural processes to your mind in your body you got to think about that too so that's why it is very important to keep in mind that the possibility are so be careful of that the nature and the activity of these Devils and nothing about them is that they also cause suicidal mania as well because if you look at mark chapter 5 look at verse 13 mark chapter 5 verse 13 look at that see the swine they choke themselves in the sea in the sea scuse me huh so suicidal mania that's an activity and nature of Devils you got to watch out for that got to watch out for that and here's something very interesting that I studied in graduate classes in psychology a huge number of suicide cases is not normal people it's actually people with mental conditions that's a huge that's probably the greater percentage of suicide if not the greater percentage it's a huge percentage it's not normal people see that there's a relationship right here there's a relationship so again this is not remember this all of this is not to say that everything concerning sicknesses or hardship depression or misery is attributed to the devil we would like to blame everything on the devil don't we when we don't realize it's our own fault ourselves that's why you get sick physically mentally and etc it's natural know I'm a sinner as I repent I put my faith that Jesus is God and that he died buried and resurrected so that his blood can wash away my sins I put my faith in that alone to save me not my good works
