morning torah portion is called egg everybody say and this root is the root of our Father Yahoo do you see the roots there the only difference in Yoko's name is a little yo'd so what does this yo cove mean remember yeah coal was called Yaakov because he was yes the Yoda is a hand and the octave is the heel so this is the heel part of his name and we're going to see some interesting significance in the dual meaning of this word heel because we're talking about the cause and effect of living in harmony with Torah the blessings and the life eternal is just a natural cause and effect of living in harmony with Torah and conversely any curse that we experience in our life any negative effects is us out of balance or out of harmony with God's principles so we're going to be looking at a lot of cause and effect in this and this heel aspect is if we will not tread upon God's commandments with our heel see if we're not trampling them underfoot we will be blessed is he the father of love He desires to bless us so this is where a cave not only means because in the Hebrew it's like because you are living in harmony you will be blessed it's like an if-then statement cause and effect but it also is a word that is used to conduct a tree ward like there's a special blessing or reward for not treading God's commandments underfoot and you can see the other use of this word a cave in Psalms verse chapter 19 verse 12 look at what David says Psalms 19 verse 12 he says through your Mitzvah your commandments your servant is warned and that's what God is doing through Moses in this Torah portion he's saying if you do them you will be blessed but if you don't there's a natural cause and effect also of living out of harmony or severing yourself from the source of life so it's not that God is a Punisher and he's not arbitrary that when you're good he's good and when you're bad he's bad he's not a situational God and our behavior cannot change who God is he is pure selfless love but how we choose to live will affect how we receive those blessings or we receive the curse then it goes on to say after says through your mitzvot your servant is warned in obeying them there is great a have this word right here in the Hebrew a great reward oh that's in Psalms chapter 19 verse 12 so it means both because it's an if-then cause-and-effect statement and it also means reward so let's look at the Torah portion in harmony with that here Israel's name Yaakov was this very root and the heel can be good or bad because remember what was the promise given to Eve in Genesis 3:15 that's right the serpent shall bite his peel but he shall crush his head her seed shall crush his head so in Devery chapter 7 verse 12 he starts right off with because there it is a heaven this is where we get the name of this Torah portion from because you are fish ma because you're listening see the root of Shema to hear and do not just to listen but to observe these rulings keeping them and obeying them what rulings is he talking about it starts right off assuming that you understand right the Torah portion is in the middle of chapter 12 so you have to go back to chapter 11 I mean not chapter 11 verse 11 and see what is he talking about verse 11 the verse preceding the beginning of our Torah portion starts off saying therefore you are what the word here is show more this means to guard to protect your English Bible might say keep write to keep the myths vote and then it has a comma not just a myth vote what are the myths vote comprised so might say statutes or might say laws and rulings but in the Hebrew it's the hukum and the Mishima team those things that you can understand that he asks you to do that we should do by faith and the things that are obviously moral or good for our fellow man so this is the mindset of Moshe when he says in the beginning our Torah portion because you are listening to these rulings what are the rulings the who came and the Mishima team that make up all of the commandments and you keep them and you obey them Adonai your God will keep with you it's an if-then statement the Covenant and mercy that he swore to your ancestors now verse 13 begins the worldly benefit of our listening to the who came and the Mishima team he will love you and bless you and increase your numbers you will also bless the fruit of your body so let's count these up because you're going to seek in blessings here in obeying God's commandments both the who keen that you can't understand and the Mishima team which are obvious there's ten things he will love you one he's - he's going to bless you three he's going to increase your numbers now when it goes on to then he will bless the fruit of your body it has a connotation of both the male the seed in the male being blessed there's another miss vote that says none of you will be unfruitful none of you will be barren so it's referring to both the man hidden here and the woman's womb you see the numbers are going to increase and he's going to bless the fruit of your body and then the fruit of your ground this is the trees and the plants that we eat and number six the grain and the wine and the olive oil so this means your olive trees are going to produce they're going to be blessed because the oil comes from they all of production and the young of your cattle that's nice blessing and your sheep the tenth blessing in the land he swore to your ancestors that he would give you you will be blessed more than all the other the other Gentile nations see the purpose of us being a light is that when the nations see how much you are blessed because you're living in harmony with Torah what are they going to say I want that exactly paraphrased in Danny's words I want some of that it's going to attract the nation's to say how can I be like you and then you naturally lead them to yaws instruction which is Torah the who team and the Mishkan team there will not be a sterile male or female among you and the same with your livestock ad and I will remove all illness from you he will not affect you with any of Egypt's dreadful diseases see once somebody removes themselves by refusing God's instruction in rebellion they remove themselves from that covenant and that covering of protection and everything else out there outside of God's covenant of blessing and protection and life is a domain of death and that's where Satan can claim people's life or cause like David said that even the plagues in Egypt and the firstborn were brought on by a band of destroying angels by Pharaohs hardness of heart and representing that country he brought about the demise of that country and so this is a macrocosm of what also happens in the microcosm in our individual lives and in our family spheres if something is not going right or we have to ask yourself which domain are we on are we under God's covering or have we removed ourselves from God's covering so Joshua 1:8 says keep this book of the law here we're reading Moe Shea's last address before he dies and he sends Joshua with the children of Israel into the Promised Land and immediately upon entering the promised land Joshua almost verbatim says the same thing that Moshe was saying reminding them keep this book of the Torah always on your lips it can't be on your lips unless you first taken the time to put it in your heart in your mind right meditate on it day and night so that you might be careful to do Shema everything written in it then see that yes then statement even Joshua's making you will be prosperous and successful so what I'd like to do is break down each chapter that we look at in the context of this if-then statement because there's two ways of expressing cause and effect one is before something happens right what do we call that if you do this then this is going to happen if you don't do this then this is going to happen so the if-then statements are really God warning or love --is-- lovingly admonishing his children but then other times we see like a calf which means because he's talking about something that you've already done because you keep these Commandments or because you did good and you attached yourself to me you drew near you will be blessed so you have two types of before and after statements that we're going to be looking at and bringing out in each of the chapters here and there's three words that you'll see over and over when you're reading in the Hebrew then I'll get you familiar with Shema which we're familiar with in the Shema which means to not only hear and listen but to also do to apply it to your life then there's some more that's the word that you read is a lot of times keep the commandments or keep the Shabbat holy in the Ten Commandments Moe Shaye's says the at the Omaha Shabbat remember to keep the Shabbat holy but in Deuteronomy 5 when he reiterates the fourth commandment he says garden shall more instead of Zach and that means to protect it almost to 10 to Commandments like you would tend to a garden or like you would take care of your wife and your children you really want to lovingly guard it and protect it and that's why God has also given us instructions in how to protect the lawsuit he's given us in Torah orally to our forefathers and to our sages and then there's the Hebrew word called Asti and that means to not only practice and fulfill and notice the ion it means it's something you can see you can see a person's practice you can see their life I see and this is what you sure was saying when he says I come not to abolish the law but to fulfill it means to fully live out to practice it to live it in action as an example so that you can see it in living action he's the living Torah practicing and fulfilling all of the Torah so in chapter 7 we just read a cab because you listened you Shema and you keep and obey torah here's the if or I mean the because then Elohim will keep covenant with you we saw that in verse 13 he's going to love you he's going to bless you he's going to multiply you he's going to multiply all you have he's going to remove sickness from you he's going to remove your enemies from you how many of you would like this guarantee this guarantee is offered to you today because you listen and you love to obey his Torah which is to say if we live in harmony with the eternal principle which who is God right his Torah is a reflection of his nature so he's not telling enough to do something that he wouldn't do or that he is not if he's divine selfless love then everything about Torah is about how to live more selflessly after his nature when we do live in harmony with his nature which is the source of life which is the source of life then we got the offense statement we experience life more abundantly and this is what Yeshua was saying Lee says I come not to just give life but give it more abundantly why because we were out of harmony with the divine principles of selfless love worketh all things ritualistically but without the spirit of love what does it say the letter of the law kills all it's going to do is reveal where you're out of harmony and how much you're deserving of death right the wages of sin is death but the gift of yah is eternal life through Yeshua our Messiah so looking out through history as we're speaking of Yeshua's you sure the only one that has lived out Torah and been a good example of Torah any thoughts of that is the perfect example but our forefathers also exemplified beautiful attributes of Torah in their life for example we've got a little list here who's this guy forefather of Abraham that's right Abram it says in genesis 26:5 abraham obeyed my voice and he kept my torah did you know that that it said that in genesis 26:5 when was torah given it was from the very beginning but many people think of it as only being given on mount sinai right but it's Torah is a transcript of God's character it has to exist in eternity past that's right unfortunately they love to change it as to loss because your mind goes into a negative connotation of rules and restrictions instead of total freedom from sin and life more abundantly and blessing so Abraham even before it was codified and written down and given to the children of Abraham many years later Abraham was keeping it how was he keeping it this means it had to be passed down orally from father to son from the time of Adam and Enoch and pass down to Noah and Shem his son Khitan Melchizedek high priests of Salem which later became Jerusalem was his rabbi was his teacher was his instructor in Torah and passed on the Oracles to Abraham otherwise Abraham he lived in a land of idolatrous pagan worship false worship the land of the Shinar Valley her was right there next to Nimrod and yet Abraham kept Torah who is this other guy Moe Shay and Joshua 1:7 the verse before the verse that I read you earlier says observe Torah as Moshe my servant commanded you to observe it so Joshua is reiterating to the children of Israel how important it is to observe Torah not only Abraham and Moses but we also have David millech devide who Messiah is a type after when he comes to reign as high priest and King David wrote in Psalms 119 144 I keep your torque on continually for ever and ever I love to keep your law and then of course we have Yeshua who says I come not to destroy the Torah but to in the Greek and pull a rule in the Hebrew it's a sea which you have over here to practice to fulfill to live out and then what about Yeshua's brother do you know the book of James was written by Yeshua's brother and his real name was not James his Hebrew name was yeah Cole they named him after the patriarch Yaakov and he wrote in James - to King James of course had to have a book named after him so Yaakov became James and that's where we get it today he says speak and act as those who obey the Torah of Liberty see it's not restrictive it's very liberating it's very freeing and he understood that and then of course we have rabbi Showell who said we establish Torah through faith see Yaakov was also the one who says faith without works without living it out is dead faith so don't tell me you just have faith because even the demons believe right without living out Torah it means nothing and so the rabbi shell was also saying we established or through faith and that's Romans 1 verse 31 so just a few examples of men throughout the ages who the scriptures say love in Capitola and when you're reading the Dead Sea Scrolls in the book of Jubilees and Jasher it talks about even more they lived out these principles of Torah now let's look at chapter 8 he starts off all the myths mode I am giving you today you are to take care to obey so that you will live increase your numbers enter and take possession of the land so all the mitzvot are for what reason to prepare for living in the land that's our inheritance this is why Moshe was teaching it all four years of the wilderness sojourn and it is said that the law pertaining to the land they weren't able to fully keep until there was enough of their own produce in the land sometimes up to 14 years I've been living in the land they said they were keeping these laws even before you know just like we are right here we're talking about the year Jubilee even though I can't really apply to us here or we're talking about the shemitah laws what this is doing is preparing us for when we do enter the land it's going to be more natural for us to implement these tour practices so some of these laws were not fully implemented up to 54 years after the time that they were given but you're constantly going through the tour portions each year and writing them on your heart and then you're prepared yes what are you asking you to know in your heart we ask ourselves that's right a lot of the interest with clothes out to our son let us expose the world that's exactly right it says that he humbled and he test and when we're humble what are we more like like him yeah we are more devoid of self when we're humbled and he doesn't tempt anyone but he will test and he'll allow trials and tribulations to come why because it further refines that self out of the the gold character that he desires that self that element of the false identity is much like the dross that needs to be burnt away in the refiners furnace yes a lot of you shall not come silver gold and bacon for yourself verify that's right that really in your heart real nature yes they really hit me on that one was how equal elevates people who have become financially successful with it all man this guy is so brave he probably would be this care because she's a millionaire or a building business that's right absolutely the one who gives all he has in the service of the Lord is the one who's worthy and then we won't refuse it when God gives it to us but the question is how will we use it will we use it for his glory and for his kingdom and for the spread of truth or will we use it to buy material things for ourselves which is self focused that's the question and sometimes we're tested that way down in verse 2 he says you're to remember everything of the way in which out and I led you these 40 years in the desert and we're going to look at this principle of the 40 years here in verse I think it's chapter 9 and he led you humbling you and testing you in order to know what was in your heart whether you would obey his mitzvah or not he humbled you allowing you to become hungry and then he fed you with the Monde which neither you or your ancestors had ever known before to make you understand that a person does not live on bread alone but on everything that comes from the mouths of yo hey Bob hey this is the text that you schewe coded to overcome that first temptation in the wilderness he loved the book of devaron he wrote it upon his heart and what God is saying is physical food is going to feed the physical vessel that is containing the spirit we need to see the spiritual beam because that's our true identity and the only way to feed the spirit is sometimes to deny the flesh because the spirit that comes from God is selfless by nature so this is why spiritual people engage in more fasting and in prayer because not because they are trying to look self righteous or be pious but because they realize the principle deny the flesh feed the spirit and how do we feed the spirit with the spiritual food which is every word of God this is what Yeshua was talking about even when tempted after 40 days of fasting he was fasting a day for each year that Israel had been in the wilderness but had not fully overcome we're going to see a little hidden anomaly in the scripture that shows that they were actually rebellious for all 40 years coming up in chapter 9 and we are in our wilderness sojourn about to enter the land let's not commit the same mistakes that our forefathers committed he says that during in verse 4 these 40 years the clothing you were wearing didn't even grow old and your feet didn't even swell in the desert he thinks deeply about this out and I was disciplining you as a loving father just as a man disciplines his child so obey the mitzvot love Adonai your God see love is the only true motivator if we understand that he's instructing us as a loving father then we're motivated and wooed by that love but if somebody preaches another doctrine as Paul says you're going to get rich or like the prosperity doctrine or you're going to get the reward of getting to have eternal life and go to heaven even that's not an adequate motivator or don't do this or you're going to go to hell the fear of punishment is a they've used it as to try to motivate people it's not an adequate motivator only pure love is a adequate motivator that keeps us in continual connection with him and we want to draw near when we see how loving he is so he reminds him that he's been instructing us as a loving father four out and I your God is bringing you into a good land a land with stream Springs and fresh living water welling up from the depths in the valleys and on the hillside it is a land of and now he's going to share seven special attributes of harvest throughout the year in Israel in this verse let's see if we can figure out what they are a land of wheat and barley when is the barley harvest spring at the beginning of our religious calendar then we go fifty days we're counting until the week is ready to be produced and so that's one and two and then we come into midsummer it says your grapevine this is June through September and leading up to yom teruah this is why in Revelation when it talks about treading down the those that persecute God's people in the winepress of yaws wrath it's referring to yom teruah language you even know the season in which the day of the Lord is which is called a great and terrible day of the Lord it is the day of the grape harvest which is September and then he goes into the fig tree this is also a fall harvest number four and then he says pomegranates which is also fall the fifth a land of olive oil which is the sixth produce of the land and then it says honey what do you think it means bye honey if we're talking about produce of the land it can't mean bee honey the Israelites understood that this was referring to date honey so when it says Jochen on the Mercer lived on locusts and honey both of those are misnomers because they kind of lead you thinking of grasshoppers and bee honey right two elements from bugs when in actuality locusts plant was a carob tree which was high in protein very nutritious so it was a beam that he was eating mixed with date and you mean it's bitter like chocolate that carob bean so what you do is you eat them with the date and you have this wonderful it's like eating chocolate and yet it's so good for you you don't have to feel bad you can't overeat on them so he's living on this carob beam and date honey and here this is referred to even in verse eight it's a land where you're going to eat food in abundance and lack nothing in it a land where the stones contain iron and the hill can be mined for copper so you will eat and be satisfied and you will bless Adonai your God for the good land which he has given you where do we get in this text what practice do we have from first ten listen that's right the blessing after the meal also known as the beer comas on and there's four elements in the beer comas on one in the first part of it is we bless we acknowledge him being the giver of all good gifts right and producing the food then we have a blessing toward the land thanking God for the land that he's given us in the beer comas on and that's why it says after you've eaten men are full that's usually when people forget about God then we bless him we're always reminded reminding ourselves where anything good comes from so we bless him then we bless the land and then we blessed Jerusalem that's a third part of the baraja Mazzone and then we thank God for his kindness in giving us all these good things and that's how we finish up the bear chromosome this is the origins of that prayer Deuteronomy 810 and it's just ironic that it sounds like a 10 because it's when you have a 10 and our fool in Deuteronomy 810 bless the Lord for the good land which he has given you then he goes on to say be careful not to forget out of my year God by not observing his Mitzvah his rulings and his regulations that I am giving you today once again his who came and his mission by team otherwise this is another way of an if-then statement be careful otherwise after you have eaten and are satisfied and you build find houses and you live in them and increase your herds and flocks and silver and gold and everything else you own you will become proud hearted this is in direct opposition to the character of God he's selfless if all these material things make you proud and vain what is it doing it severing you from the very source of life which is selfless by nature yes in your heart you end up forgetting Adonai your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt where you lived as slaves who led you through the vast and fearsome desert with its poisonous to make scorpions and waterless thirsty ground who brought water out of a flint rock for you now we even know what kind of rock that was that Moses struck and it brought forth rock who fed you who brought forth water who fed you in the desert with manna unknown to your ancestors all the while humbling and testing you in order to do you good in the end and this brings up a big statement because the Jews asked or I should say Israel asked Moshe when will we receive our reward you keep talking about if we keep Torah and when will we receive this great reward that you speak of and he said don't focus on the reward here now focus on the reward to come at the end of days and you always took their focus to the reward that was pointing to when the age of mashiac when we're able to live in the land without sin and without disharmony and discord and division and right now in the physical we are receiving a little portion of that reward but because we're physical creatures we can only absorb a certain amount of blessings when we are more spiritual creatures we're going to observe and benefit from a greater abundance of the blessings of the reward that he intends for us so the greater reward is yet to come that's the main thing there's no doubt brings health and blessings in the life today but we're always thinking about in those last days when God since Messiah to reign as high priest and King we are going to be able to experience the greater blessing 4:17 says you will think to yourself my own power and the strength of my own hand has gotten me this wealth no you are to remember I deny your God because it is he who is giving you the power to get wealth in order to confirm his covenant which he swore to your ancestors as is happening even today you know it's so important to realize that even when bad things happen it's for our good whether you see good or whether you see bad we should get in the practice of saying this is for my good no matter what it is that comes our way recognizing that all the father's in control of everything and he's refining our character and it's the cause and effect of us being out of harmony with him that he's expressing or allowing to be expressed the negative effects of that out of balance it can't be stressed enough how much God is in control of everything and how he desires your well-being and he's such a loving father that we oftentimes rebel and then we get upset at the consequences of our rebellion but if we would recognize that as a loving father he's disciplining and chasing us those who he love then we could embrace the lessons that we're learning whether they are positive or negative because they bring us back to the source in teshuva in repentance he says in verse 19 if you forget out and I your God and you follow other gods and serve and worship them I am warning you in advance today that you will certainly perish you will perish just like the nations that Adonai is causing to perish ahead of you because you will have not heeded the voice of Adonai so God tests us to keep his ways to lead us to life and blessings while hafsat on he's tempting us to not keep God's word why because he knows the curse is in direct result just like he did with Israel he got them to break covenant with God by following after the Midianite women and the Moabite women and been through fornication they lost their blessing and we're bilam couldn't curse them they cursed themselves Deuteronomy 8 - we see if we remember everything and obey and we come out of Babylon today like Israel of all had to come out of Egypt and we go into our wilderness experience like yoshua how did you who shall go into his wilderness experience forty days fasting and meditating on God's Word then Elohim will purify us by humbling us testing us feeding us on the word preparing us to inherit the land and then in verse 19 we see but if we forget you know devolve hey our God and follow after our own selfish desires God warns us in advance that we will certainly perish just like the other nations who have lived out their selfish desires and who have served themselves and severed themselves from the source gifts these it'll be going they already told us yes is it stay in your heart my power and my fight a very hard and absolutely even while people justify their lifestyles not saying oh I don't have idols of gold and silver they themselves have become an idol in their own eyes because they're doing their own pleasure more than following God's commandments justifying it [Music] some people will have some amen because he's reading the heart and what is needed for their character refinement now chapter 9 it starts off with Shema ether IL you are to cross the Jordan today to go in and dispossessed Nations greater and stronger than you great cities fortified up to the sky people great and tall the an Hakeem whom you know about this is the Giants and of whom you have heard it was said who can stand before the descendants of anak therefore understand today that I don't know your God will himself cross over the river ahead of you as a devouring fire see darkness can't coexist with light so if he removes that cloud from his Shekinah glory all you have to do is go ahead of them and those Giants will run he will destroy them and bring them down before you thus you will drive them out and cause them to perish quickly as out and I have said to you so he says if you go into the land by faith in essence don't worry about it I'm going to go ahead of you I want you to come when I call you if they had done this they would have been in the land after the first year and been able to live out these mitzvot but because of their false report they wandered in the welder's another 38 years if we go into the land by faith now we are the descendants of Israel and it's time for us to return to the land to live out more fully this Torah that we've been studying are we going to make excuses for why we shouldn't enter the land are we going to say it's difficult it's we don't have enough ability to take the land or we don't have enough money to live in the land are we going to make excuses if we will take the land by faith Elohim will give it to you in verse four he says but don't think it's because of your righteousness when you take the land same way even when we go back to the land we have to be so in tune with Yahweh not our own way it's because the other nations were more wicked so they got you doubt of the land that he is and he drove them out and so this is very analogous to our day today we're about to take the land verse 12 we'll read on from verse four he says don't think to yourself after your God has pushed them out ahead of you it is to reward your righteousness that out and I has brought you and to take possession of this land no it's because these nations have been so wicked that Adonai is driving them out ahead of you it's not because of your righteousness he reiterates or because your heart is so upright that you go in to take possession of their land but to punish the wickedness of these nations that I don't know your God is driving them out ahead of you and also to confirm the word which out and I swore to your ancestors Abraham Yitzhak and Yakov and he's still fulfilling that word today with the return to Israel therefore understand that it is not for your righteousness at third time he says it that I don't I your God is giving you this good land to possess this is why rabbi shel could say there is none that is good no not one three times he reiterated it's not because of your righteousness but it doesn't mean that we continue in sin either just because we see grace abounding were sin abounded shall we continue to sin shawwal says God forbid let's observe Torah study it write it upon our heart so that we are prepared to take the land and live it out even more for you when we are in the land then he says for you are a stiff-necked people remember don't forget how you made I don't know your God angry in the desert from the day you left the land of Egypt till you arrived at this place you have been rebelling against Adonai also in Horeb that's Mount Sinai you made out and I angry and he was angry enough with you to destroy you or to let you be destroyed I had gone up the mountain to receive the stone tablets the tablets on which was written the Covenant and I made with you I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights without eating food and drinking water then Adonai gave me the two stone tablets inscribed by the finger of God and on them was written every word that Adam I had said to you from the fire on the mountain that day at the Assembly so remember he left at what time was the commandments given Chava owed and he's up there forty days until he comes down on the 17th of Tammuz and he sees them worshiping a golden calf and he breaks those sapphire tablets and he goes right back to the next day he's been 14 he had been fasting for 40 days and 40 nights without food and water it says which is totally a supernatural miracle that he survives because you're only supposed to survive three days without water you can survive 40 days without food but not without water it comes now one day and we don't know if he ate in that one day and he goes back up and he's fast another 40 days without food and water interceding for Israel and this time when he comes back what was it it was alone the first of you law this is what begins the forty days he comes down he tells the people what God had instructed him about how they need to repent and that he's very wroth with them and he comes down for one day and he goes back up for a third forty day set and that is from the first of eloah to Yom Kippur the tenth of Tishri the day of atonement and so this is why from starting August 21st when you see that solar eclipse that's beginning the first of you Lowell the new moon of Lowell and we should begin meditating and I'll write an article that will be on our website about the different ways that you can be in repentance during this 40 days 30 days of evil and ten days of history leading up to Yom Kippur this is the final 40 days of Moses intercession and then God accepts their teshuva and he says he will make atonement for them and Moses is able to come back with good news so here he is reminding them of that time period verse 11 says yes after forty days and forty nights I don't I gave me the two stone tablets the tablets of the Covenant these were two sapphire tablets written on both sides so you can actually see them that's according to Exodus 20:14 and Exodus 30 to 15 then that and I said to me after 40 days separate yourself from me it's interesting in the English we just translate it get up and hurry down from here but Moshe was face to face with God for 40 days Haim Eponine so it's literally like God had to tell him separate yourself from me and go back to the people if you're that close in the presence of God you don't want to separate yourself he says hurry down because your people whom you let out of Egypt have become corrupt so here we have verse 12 because Israel has become corrupt in the past when you were up here for too long they went to worshiping the golden calf you need to go down because it's been another 40 days and they're prone to going astray again if they think you're dead and so Elohim was grieved and Moshe broke the commandment on that 17th of Tammuz and that's why that's a day of mourning and then he says so quickly have they turned aside from the way that I ordered them to follow they have made themselves a mental image moreover at and I said to me I have seen this people and what a stiff-necked people they are let me alone so that I can put it into them and blot out their name from under heaven and I'll make of you a nation bigger and stronger than they now this is a little test because who wouldn't want their descendants to be the ones that God has chosen for his bride it's an element of self in there he's testing Moshe but Moshe was the meekest of all men he's the one who God said I will send a prophet like unto you Moshe speaking of Messiah who is humble who's meek who's the suffering servant Moshe instead of accepting this offer pleads with God no rather than whop them out my name out from the and this this word from the book is from the 20th tor portion it's the cost and instead of blotting them out from the book of life like Moses was intending God does a little play on the word from your book that word your is written with a costal feet in the Hebrew and it has a mat Rhea a numerical value of 20 so what God did is he wrote Moses name into every Torah portion throughout the year except for the 20th one and in that way his name's not blotted from the book of life it's only blotted from one Torah portion in the old Torah portion so he honors Moshe he saves Israel but because of the power of our words most they should want my name up from the book so he does bought him out but from just one parish ah not from the whole book which is so beautiful moreover I don't know I said to me I have seen this people and what if stiff-necked people they are so he offered to make a nation out of moshe's descendants and he says I came down from the mountain and the mountain was blazing with fire and the two tablets of the Covenant were in my two hands I looked and there you had sinned against that and I your God you had made yourself a metal cough and you'd turned aside quickly from the way out and I had ordered you to follow I seized those two tablets and I threw them out of my hands and broke them before your eyes because you had broken out a nice covenant so here this is a very symbolic gesture it's not that he was doing it simply out of anger much like Pinkus there was a righteous indignation here he's saying look at this is what you're doing to this beautiful covenant this was a marriage ketubah and you've already broken it you just were betrothed and already you've gone astray into spiritual adultery so he breaks it in front of them then I fell down before adonai he prostrates himself and humbleness and repenting as an intercessor for the people as he had the first time for forty days and forty nights again during which time I neither ate food nor drink water all because of the sin you committed by doing what was evil in the sight of Adonai and thus provoking him it's Messiah Yeshua is a prophet like unto Moshe and this is how Moshe intercedes for the whole house of Israel how should you and I be interceding for the whole house of Israel are we fasting enough are we interceding are we crying out to the Lord to save Israel to save our brothers and sisters are we quick to just cast them off and be divisive you know we have to look at this beautiful example and realize that intercessory prayer goes much deeper than just saying a prayer at bedtime and generalizing motion is up there 40 days and 40 nights without food or water interceding on Israel's behalf not even on his own behalf but on behalf of Israel he says I was terrified because of how angry out and I was at you and how he didn't lead displeased he was that he would allow you to be destroyed but I don't I listen to me that time too in addition out and I was very angry with Aaron and would have destroyed him but I prayed for Aaron also at the same time even for Aaron our sages tell us that Aaron and telling them to bring the gold to him rather than them making it he was trying to delay the formation of the golden calf he knew that they would build it much faster and worship it much slower so he tried to do it as slow as possible but over those 40 days you know they put it in the fire and he says and out came a calf but for some reason God allows him to stay as high priest recognizing that his intentions were semi pure even though he did sin in allowing himself to be used to implement the manufacturing of this golden calf so Moshe is praying for him as well even the high priest which is really beautiful because he's acting as a high priest after the order of melchizedek Joshua our high priest he's praying for the height the Earth's a high priest I took your sin the calf you had made I burned it up in the fire and I beat it to pieces and I ground it up still smaller until it was as find as dust then I threw its dust into the stream coming down from the mountain and at that time they did not understand it this is recorded in Exodus 32 verse 20 but what Moshe was doing God had instructed Moshe with wisdom and just like colloidal silver heals colloidal gold is a healer what he was doing by grinding it up into dust and mixing it with water and making them drink it is yah is radiating at a very high frequency and that high frequency just like ultraviolet light can have a radioactive affect on you if you get too close to yah and you're harboring darkness he's like a consuming fire when it speaks of a consuming fire it's referring to almost a radioactive type of effect you would become cancerous you would die in his presence if you're harboring darkness so these people had been harboring the sin of worshipping the golden calf and yes they were in the presence of God he had ascended right onto Mount Sinai so what Moe she was doing was giving the antidote for being in the presence of God and not dying from this amazing glory of the Shekinah he's making them drink colloidal gold and you know that it took thousands of years for scientists to realize this but oil gold is they found very healing for those that have been close to nuclear activity radioactive activity or have any kind of cancer it cures radioactive cancer verse 22 says again at ever rub masa and give Road ha ha ha you made out and I angry and went out and I sentence you off from Kadesh Barnea by saying go up and take possession of the land I've given you you even rebelled against the order of Adonai your God you didn't trust him nor did you heed what he said you have been rebelling and this word rebelling is mum mum Reem and memory what's interesting is it has to MEMS in the beginning I'll write it up here it has a little mem [Music] which is a reduced size and then it has the normal size mem [Music] and it means bitterness it comes from the same root as Mara which means bitterness your rebellion it's like you were totally embittered against y'all even though he's giving you these good gifts and the mem has a gamut riah of 40 if you clown from yo'd which is the tenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet and you have costly med mem so you have 20 30 40 right this little mem the reason it's small isn't bringing your attention to it all forty years they were in rebellion this is the word for rebellion mam bream rebellion [Music] and you saying by your rebellion you are making yourself small if you will make yourself small and be obedient be selfless you'll be made great this is what you should referring to with you know he who elevates himself will be humbled but He Who humbles himself will be elevated he who makes himself first shall be the last but he who allows himself to be the last should be the first all of this is referring to that self with nature but all 40 years not to be thinking that they're just rebellious on occasion but this is to tell us that all 40 years God is looking at them as being rebellious and it reduced their numbers very good point made them small and what is mem represented in the paleo-hebrew it looks like waters right and in prophecy what do waters represent people of nations and tongues so the people were reduced their numbers were reduced just like hammy is saying all 40 years because we just read if you observe all my mitzvahs you grow you'll be prosperous exactly you'll multiply I'll multiply your seed so the fact that their numbers decreased shows all 40 years very good there's hidden lessons everywhere in Torah he says you've been rebelling against out a night from the day I first knew you which means the day that he drew them out of Egypt of course he knew them in Egypt even before 40 years before so I fell down before Adam I end it is said by the sages and we have it confirmed in the book of Jubilees that when Moses was born up to that time those 200 years that they were in Egypt they were keeping the holy days they were keeping Torah and they were blessed in Egypt that's why their numbers increase in Egypt but from the time that Moses was born that last 40 years is when the flavory increased because they stopped keeping Shavuot and it says that in the book of Jubilees which means to say if they're stopping keeping shuffle oh they're most likely stopping the other holy days and stopping other implements of Torah so what God was doing at Sinai by giving his covenant on chavo he's also reminding of keeping it and then they started keeping it from that point forward so there was a span of how many years how old was motions when he was called to bring out Israel he was 80 years old he had spent 40 years in Egypt and then 40 years out of Egypt and so very interesting this implement of your numbers increase when you're keeping Torah and so when he says from the time I first knew you literally it is from my young days I lived in Egypt I was observing this Hebrew children even though I was in the courts of Pharaoh right and as long as I've known you you've been rebellious well this is confirmed in Jubilees that they stopped keeping the Torah about the time that Moses was born so verse 25 he says I fell down before I deny those 40 days and 40 nights and I lay there so he's prostrating himself also for 40 days and 40 nights because here's another because ad and I had said he would destroy you I prayed to die tonight I said I deny Elohim don't destroy your people your inheritance you redeem them through your greatness and you brought them out of Egypt with a strong hand so here's another good example of how to pray as a nurse Esther you remind God of his greatness it's not because he's changing or he situational but he is testing us to see if we will think that he is a destructive God or if he's a life-giving God we remind him of his life giving qualities we remind him of his character we remind him of his promises remember your servant Abraham gets back in Yaakov he's saying even if Israel said nothing good remember their fathers don't focus on the stubbornness of this people or on their wickedness or on their sin otherwise the lands you brought us out of will say it's because that and I wasn't able to bring them into the land he promised them and for here's another one they might say he might have hated them because he brought them out just to kill them so see Egypt the nations in other words it's going to misunderstand your character Hashem and I don't want the nations to misunderstand your character I know they're deserving of death but preserve them so that the nations will see your great loving-kindness in fact they are your people they're your very inheritance when we brought out by your great power and outstretched arm so here in verse 18 we see because of the thin Israel committed now here's a cause and effect the negative way the curse they brought upon themselves is Elohim was displeased and Moshe acted as an intercessor and he did four things he fasted for forty days he prayed prostrating himself getting as low as humbled as selfless as possible to the ground and then he focused on how he can heal them because sometimes like when we're in the mission field we heal people's physical needs first we build a medical clinic we bring medicine we keep some rest the right principle of how to live in harmony with nature and hygiene and all of these type of things and by meeting their physical needs it opens up their heart for meeting their spiritual needs and healing them spiritually so he first healed him physically to prolong their life then he goes up and intercedes for them to heal them spiritually and then it reminds god of his promises so it's kind of neat when we break things down and if then statement amazing examples for us here's a picture of that small mem that we've taken from a Torah scroll mom Reem means bitter and then hitta deem you were aim with Hashem may Yom from the day I knew you so now let's look at chapter 10 and see what cause-and-effect relationship we can see Moshe bringing out in chapter 10 at that time I don't I said to me cut yourself to stone tablets like the first ones and come back up to me on the mountain and make yourself an ark of wood now it said that Moses first built a wooden box and he picked up those pieces of that broken sapphire stone that God had not only cut out himself but written with his own finger on both sides and he put all the pieces into this wooden box until Israel had enough time to build the Ark of the Covenant and then when he came back down with the new set of stones that he had to chisel out but God wrote with his own finger he put both of them in the Ark of the Covenant so someday we'll get to see the original sapphire stone and then who knows what kind of stone Moshe had to chisel out there on Mount Horeb but we'll get to see both of them he says make yourself an ark of wood that was a case you would I will inscribe on the tablets the words which were on the first tablets which you broke and you are to put them in the ark so I made an ark of acacia wood and cut two stone tablets like the first then climbed the mountain with the two stabbed with two tablets in my hand he inscribed the tablets with the same inscription as before the tin devarim did you know that the Ten Commandments are not called Ten Commandments in Hebrew they're called Timms utterances and the reason for this is Deborah is an utterance or a thing or a word that God is conveying it is said that God manifests himself and created all of the existence with ten uh Turin TSA's and so when he's returning them to his covenant and to Torah he's also using the same pattern that he created the earth with ten uh pterence --is and this is why in Kabbalah you'll see the ten Sephirot these are the Tim emanations or audiences that yah manifest himself and passes on instruction and knowledge to man and then men with that knowledge worship Him and communicate with one another repair the world and so there's this whole symbiotic relationship within these utterances as we learn them which include wisdom and understanding and knowledge which include justice but also mercy and loving-kindness and it also has to do with how we act you know sometimes we're impulsive to do something we've got the urge to do but then we quickly tire of it right and we don't stick with it so persistence is just as important to balance out that urge to do and these are the things that you learn with these utterances that in the divine there's perfect balance between wisdom and understanding like our intuition and our ability to reason we have to balance intuition with the ability to reason and also we have to balance justice with mercy right there's a perfect balance there if you only have one of these characteristics and you don't understand how the divine works with perfect harmony and balance you will be swaying too much to one side or you'll be too harsh with the judgment and the judge justice on the other side and the same way with the urge to do with we have to be balanced with persistence to keep doing not to just do today and then not do tomorrow and whatever we're doing and there's so much beauty in these ten utterances so that's just to say that the pin what we call the ten commandments are just a hint at the original ten utterances by which he is still manifesting himself to creation and working within creation he says in verse five I turned and came down the mountain and put the tablets in the Ark I had made and there they remain as out and I ordered me the people of Israel traveled from the wells of vinay yokan to massara where Aaron died and was buried that was up on Mount hor analyzer his son took his place as high priest serving in the office of Cohen from there they traveled to good God and from good God - yo Fatah a region with running streams at that time out a nice set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark for the covenant of that and I and to stand before Adonai to serve Him and to bless in his name as they still do today up until the golden calf experience it was Yas intention that the firstborn from every tribe would minister in his temple as priests but Levi was the only one that didn't bow the knee to the golden calf and this is why they were fit for continuing in close proximity to Yas glory in the most holy place because the rest of Israel had sinned at the golden calf and they lost that blessing of being priest he says I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights as previously and at and I listened to me that time to out and I would not destroy you then out and I said to me get up and go on your way at the head of the people so that they can enter and take possession of the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them so now Israel all that Adam I your God asked from you is to fear him this is that infatuation I was speaking about last week that holy awe to be totally infatuated with him in love with him that you want to follow him as a bride follows her husband in all his ways that you'll love him look at the different things he's bringing out when you truly have fear in its right place you're not afraid of him you're infatuated what happens you're going to follow all his ways - you're going to love him and serve him with all your heart and with all your beans Mayo Dec ha like when we say the via ha ha the ha ha if other my Aloha ha the whole navab cop means to call your heart will they call not fishka with all your breath of your spirit that God gives you move it Cole and with all-male deck huh we don't even have a word like it in English it means with everything that you got you're down to your very be na with your thoughts with your strength with your whole being and that's what he's reiterating here that you'll love him with all your heart and with all your being and to obey for your own good see he's not asking you to obey because he's wanting to be dictated he is asking you to obey because he knows that the instruction he's given you is instruction in blessings and righteousness for your own good the Mitzvah and the regulations of Adonai which I am giving you today see the sky the heaven beyond the sky the earth and everything on it all belong to Adonai your God because at and I took enough pleasure in your ancestors to love them and he chose them just like a husband chooses a bride he's choosing Israel descendants after them that's you and me that's us today above all the people of the earth as he still does today so you are the bride that called out therefore circumcise the foreskin of your heart and don't be stiff-necked any longer circumcision is reflective of making your heart sensitive so that you will be wooed to him you will fall back in love with him and you will want to follow him in all of his ways for Adam I your God is God of gods and Lord of lords the great mighty and awesome God who have no favorites and accepts no bribes he secures justice for the orphan and the widow and he loves the foreigner giving him food and clothing we were once foreigners in Egypt and we're in a sense foreigners in this land we're still in the diet for today so when you see a foreigner what does God command you to do he says you were foreigners treat them with kindness and with love yes please Martin takes full price back with a foundational principle of law and fabric when I saw that it kidneys that we knew that much of our log and Irma had come from Scripture we catch I have to walk before a judge and and leave the page and the judge would weigh is fair today that's complicated now more money you're going to be more successful you hire a better lawyer whatever exactly persons lost that missable we've got to talk that's right all of these moral laws were written into the Magna Carta and the Magna Carta was the basis of our Constitution and our Declaration of Independence and these laws were written in from the very beginning but we have strayed just like Israel of old we were founded in the principles of Torah this nation was and it was blessed in Revelation you see it likened to a little lamb because our country was founded on the principles of the lamb remember in Revelation 13 verse 5 when it says and I saw another beast like a lamb but it ends up speaking like a dragon our country was less because it was founded on the principles of the Lamb but ends up speaking like the dragon and what is the dragon's intent to destroy God's people Israel to divide the land when our country breaks faith we break from Torah the natural cause and effect is to also break with God's people and when our nation supports the division of Israel and persecuting of God's people we're speaking like a dragon because how does the prophetic beast speak but enacting laws so like Steve is saying the whole basis of our Constitution and of our judicial law is founded from Torah this is a example of how we're developing people who are movie stars with lots of money or politicians with lots of authority and power these are very welcome back very power the thing that will go out though that's right and so we have to recognize that and comparable not trap that's right unfortunately our country has trade greatly from the moral law found in Torah and there's four sins that always bring judgment upon a nation and the USA has committed all four of them and there's an interesting study done on the seven steps of the demise of a world empire and just like Babylon fell and Persia after it and Greece after it in Rome after it the United States has completed all seven of these steps as well we're on our last legs and it's because we've lost the blessing of following this moral tour this moral law we have deviated from y'all's principles and we've lost the blessing in this country and we're going to see it even more in the future especially on Europeans primarily the and they were like a locust on the bat it would be blessed with many many chosen today's American who has that beautiful landed man but they weren't having two children at the rate the what impatient for having that they were coming from Europe and because many of them that time were there both only things to do was to be violent and so there was blood that's right even the false holiday which counterfeits the holy days things like Christmas were outlawed these were pagan practices from Germany that they recognized they were coming to the New World to observe religious freedom the way is spoken from the Bible the true holy days and so up until just a hundred years ago these false pagan holidays were even outlawed within the common-law he says therefore because you were a foreigner you're to love the foreigner since you were foreigners in the land of Egypt in verse 20 you are to fear Adonai your God have that holy awe that infatuation and serve Him cling to him and swear by his name this is what a bride does I'm my husband I've taken his name she's swearing by his name this is all Bridal language you have infatuation which is translated in the English as fear this holy awe for your husband and you serve Him and you cling to him you're holding on to him very physical intimacy and you take his name for yourself he is your praise he is your God who has done for you these great and awesome things which you have seen with your own eyes your ancestors went down into Egypt with only 70 people but now Adonai your God has made your numbers as many as the stars in the sky look at how they were multiplied from 70 to millions so in this chapter we see in verse 15 because it calves our tour portion name Elohim loves your ancestors and he chose you their descendants as his bride he's done great things and he's going to continue to do great things great and awesome things ma che says so this is really good news that you should tell people who their true identity is and if they can't recognize that they're descendants of Israel through the blood of Messiah it can be grafted in what's the criteria for being grafted in if you will accept the bridal ketubah covenant which is the Torah so somebody can't claim access to the husband and say no I want to be a separate bride that's what the harlot is she says I don't want that Bridal ketubah I don't want that Torah thing I just want access to the man and look at how many people are claiming access to the husband or to God without having the bridal covenant that's why God says you can craft it into the bride and you accept the terms of the Covenant and then you'll be recognized as my people as well and Judaism when somebody converts they're never asked where they came from who they were they're treated as if they were a native-born Israelite which is very beautiful that's the way it is for anybody that's grafted into Israel no longer do you think oh I'm a Gentile oh I'm an American or I'm German or Spanish or African or you say I'm an Israeli and that's I encourage you to start embracing that mindset because even before you have to you speak it naturally it has to start up here with your change of thinking you've been adopted your descendants of Israel think of yourself as a child of the bride chapter 11 verse 1 where we're at right now therefore you are to love your God and always obey his Commission regulations rulings and mitzvahs this is the hooking and the mishpokhe team why today it is you I am addressing not your children who haven't known or experienced the discipline of Adonai your God his greatness his strong hand and it's outstretched arm his signs in his actions which he did in Egypt of Pharaoh the king of Egypt and to his entire country they didn't experience what he did to Egypt's army horses and chariots how Adonai overwhelmed them with the waters of the sea as they were pursuing you so that they remain destroyed to this day they didn't experience what he kept doing for you in the desert until you arrived at this place or what he did to Dayton and Alva rom the sons of Eliav the descendant of Reuben how the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up along with their households their tents and everything living in it there in front of all Israel but you have seen with your own eyes all these great deeds about and I therefore you are to keep every Mitzvah I am giving you today so that you'll be strong enough to go in and take possession of the land you are crossing over to conquer and so that you will live long remember last week how I had the bookends and what was the final result so that you will live long in the land ultimately this is leading to eternal life so verse 8 says you are to keep every commandment how many Commandments pick and choose which ones are convenient all of them so that what's the blessing you will be strong and you will live long in the land and then for sixteen we see another one let's read down to sixteen so we don't miss any of these beautiful nuggets for the land you are entering in order to take possession of it isn't like the land of Egypt there you will you would sow your seed and had to use your feet to operate its irrigation system as in a vegetable garden but the land you are crossing over to take possession is a land of hills and valleys which soaks up water when rain falls from the sky it is a land Adonai your God cares for the eyes of Adonai your God are always on it this is what we call Israel the apple of God's eye even King David said that it comes from Torah from the beginning of the year to the end so if here's another if you will listen carefully to my mitzvot which I am giving you today to love Adonai your God and serve Him with all your heart and all your being once again its intimate relationship language then verse 14 here's the then the Lord says he will give your land it's rain at the right seasons including the early rain and the late spring rains so that you can gather in your wheat your new wine your olive oil and I will give your fields grass for your livestock with the result that you will eat and be satisfied but here's a bud be careful not to let yourself be seduced away so that you turn aside and it language like spiritual adultery basically by serving other gods it's like you're having an illicit relationship with another so he's saying don't serve other gods and worship them if you do the anger about and I will blaze up against you when it uses this term the anger of Adonai this is a symbolic language which means you're going to experience the cause and effect of your severance from the source of life and blessings it's not that he has to arbitrarily do anything otherwise Romans 6:23 would be written totally different to be the wages of an angry God is death right it's the wages of sin what is sin first John 3:4 says sin is the transgression of the Torah the Torah is our daddys instruction our husbands ketubah betrothal and when you live in harmony with it you're naturally blessed and when you live out of harmony with it the way it was written because they used to attribute everything to God both good and evil light and darkness in ancient times they write it as danger of had an eye but Adonai doesn't have anger the way you and I humanize anger we shouldn't humanize God's emotion after our image we want to be recreated in his image not creating him in our image and how do we do that by understanding his true character his true character is only love it's only life-giving it's only light there's no darkness in him there's no not even a shifting shadow and so when we see him as he truly is we stopped humanizing him and giving them these human attributes that are not a part of his character and we become changed into his likeness and this is what it means to be a new creature so here we have verse 13 if you will listen carefully to my mitzvot then rain and produce will be abundant verse 16 we see this bud but if you get seduced away there will be no rain and no produce it's a loss of blessing natural cause and effect and in verse 18 he says therefore because of all this you're to store up these words of mine in your heart and in all your being tie them on your hand is a sign this is where we get the origins of the tefillin we tie them upon our hands His Word and you know that this these verses here deuteronomy are differing verses 13 to 21 is the fourth parchment that's in the tefillin we have four parchments that we use so you know in the mezuzah on the door we put one parchment and that's devouring six verses four through nine the Shema it's got one parchment but in the tefillin we have four parchment and this passage verses 13 through 21 that we're reading right now is one of those parchments that's in the tefillin and he reminds us this is a second witness that were to tie them on our hand so when we went to israel i gave some of the men an opportunity to tie to fill in we tied them on nick in his hand no he didn't take the tefillin they was Enoch and on his forehead and he says put them at the front of a headband around your forehead so this is the commandment it's a commandment a mitzvah to tie to fill in upon our hand now how do we do it how many not all of that that's given in the oral torah but this is the written Torah a lot of times give something very simply and then God explains to Moses how it should actually be applied and then act it out 19 says teach them carefully to your children talking about them when you sit at home and when you're traveling on the road when you lie down and when you rise this is reiterating the Shema write them on the doorframes of your house what's the door frame called in Hebrew mezuzot so this is where we get the term mezuzah from we're fulfilling it by putting a mezuzah on your doorpost and tying his words on our hand in our foreheads and on our gates verse 21 says so that you and your children will live long on the land and this is a promise and this is another reason why we put this girl in the tefillin he's going to give us not only the land but we're going to live when it says live long cause intent is that we live forever with him in the land but we can only do that if we have Torah fully written on our heart and that's what Messiah is going to be fulfilling during the millennial reign in fulfillment of Jeremiah 31 that's truly the New Covenant experience to have Torah written upon your heart so you live it out naturally and you don't have to refer back to scrolls and books he promised that he would give this land to you and that she for as long as there is sky above the earth so he says store up these words on your heart and in all your being put them on tie them onto your hand as a sign put them as a headband around your forehead teach them to your children and talk about them in every part of your day in essence when you walk in the way when you sit in your house when you lie down at night when you rise why does it say lie down before it says rise because the day begins in evening so even you see all these confirmations of the evening in the morning or the day Deuteronomy 22 now in closing for if he's coming things up you will take care to obey all of these myths vote I'm giving you to do them to love Adonai your God see how doing them is in direct correlation to loving him that's why you shoe it says if you love me keep my Commandments if you will do them to love to do them is to love Adonai your God to not do them first John four says is to not love God and to not know his love to follow all his ways and to cling to him this is beautiful intimate language then here's the if-then statement add and i will expel all these nations ahead of you and you will dispossessed nations bigger and stronger than you are wherever the sole of your foot steps will be it will be yours your territory will extend from the desert to the Lebanon and from the river referring to the Nile to the Euphrates River to the western sea which is the Mediterranean no one will be able to withstand you this is the original land grant that he gave to Abraham yes [Music] in the nominal variable radius haha were they actually marked out there Bookman so they package that they start marking on their footprint we're closed yeah not only their footprints but from an aerial view there's a huge footprint of yaw in this latter original land grant he has one foot on one side of the jordan river and there's another huge big footprint on the western side and there's also a place where he puts his hands he's got his mark on this land and we've seen it from an aerial view amazing but if you're up close to it you wouldn't even know you just think it's a mountain ridge he says wherever the soles of your footsteps will be will be yours no one's going to be able to withstand you and Adonai your God will place the fear and dread of you on all the lands if you step on as he told you and if you look at this this is fulfilled in Joshua 2:9 if you have your Bibles turn quickly over because he's promising something on one side of the river right they haven't crossed over yet he's saying if you do this this is what's going to happen and we find the fulfillment of it Joshua speaking in verse 9 he says I know that Adonai has given you the land fear of you had fallen on us everyone in the land is terrified at the thought of you who is speaking this this is Rahab the spider climbed up into Jericho and these nations that God says if you will keep my ways I'll put the fear of you in all the nations ahead of you Rahab was confirming that the fear of them was already there she says the fear of you has fallen on us everyone in the land is terrified at the thought of you we've heard of how adonai dried up the water in the sea ahead of you when you left Egypt and what you did to the two kings of the MRI on the other side of the Jordan si Han and awed the Giants that you completely destroyed them as soon as we heard of it our hearts failed us because of you everyone's in a state of depression for Adonai your God He is God in heaven she's acknowledging that the God of Israel is the only one true God above heaven and earth below and then she makes this covenant with them that's promise you know please spare me and my family if I'll help you take Jericho so in closing look at all of these amazing blessings that Hashem wants to bestow upon you and they're not arbitrary they're natural they're inherent in following his instructions he's going to take care of you he's going to bless you and bless your seed he's going to provide for you and he is going to be not only your God but his desire is to be one with you that's what the Day of Atonement is all about it's at one mint he wants to have a bride without spot or blemish that can truly be one vibrating at his resonant frequency of selfless love which Emmy AIT's out as pure life and this is our goal this is what's so exciting about studying Torah is that we are writing his ketubah his betrothal covenant upon our hearts in preparation for the marriage of the lamb and then the lamb is going to be further writing his Torah on our hearts for a thousand years to prepare us for the New Jerusalem that's when John says I saw a new heaven and a new earth and the New Jerusalem behold it was adorned as a what as a bride I thought we were the bride what's amazing is while we are waiting for Messiah we're like a bride once we become one with Messiah because we say we are one in him right this is the body of Messiah then Messiah becomes what like the bride all of us together coming as a husband for the bride which God Shekinah that's the feminine essence of God is coming down that's his glory that's why I says there was no need of the Sun in the city because the glory of God and the lamb Varian was the light therein so in essence God is descending in the New Jerusalem prepared as a bride for all of us in Messiah and there's like a whole nother greater wedding at the end of the millennial Shabbat that seventh millennium this is what it means to have tor written apart so that sin and death can be destroyed once and for all and we can enter into eternity at beams of light and love and life so this is part of the good news it's exciting a stand close a turn of a father we thank you Lord for revealing to us your true nature of love that you are a life giver from the beginning and that you do not change Malachi 3:6 says I the Lord God changes not therefore you are not consumed o sons of Jacob we have never been righteous father and if you did change we would already be destroyed but it's because of your great goodness and because of your character of life-giving selfless love that we can learn your Torah and we can return in teshuva and be cleansed by the blood of the Lamb and so we thank you Father for your goodness we thank you for revealing yourself to us and taking the cloud the veil that we saw dimly before and we attributed wrong characteristics to you so we ask your forgiveness for attributing any darkness to you father or any wrong characteristics for Isaiah says woe to him who calls good evil and evil good we want to see you as you really are so that by beholding we can become changed into your true likeness father continue to purge us purify us refine us so that the gold that you see is messiahs gold in us and we might have the mind of Messiah and that there might be no draw in us but only pure gold holy and acceptable in your sight father this is our desire to be a bride without spot or blemish this is our prayer we love you and we thank you for teaching us as a loving father with patience and long-suffering and we ask your blessing upon our spiritual walk and upon each family represented here may we recognize that we are one together with each other as we are one in you father so we should encourage one another never being divisive or judgmental but encouraging and uplifting one another in walk of embracing your ketubah covenant father please let the food that we're about to receive and the remainder of our Shabbat together in your holy name we pray amen
