3 Signs God is The Foundation of a Relationship

hey everyone Carol my rabbits here and welcome back to my youtube channel in this video I'm going to be showing three signs to know that God is the foundation of your relationship so if you're interested in watching more and then definitely stay tuned [Music] so one of the biggest signs that God is the foundation of your relationship and I can really relate to this one is when God literally gives you advice like he personally gives you advice on how to work out your relationship and I think it's beautiful because God created the person that you were in a relationship with he knows their weaknesses their strengths so literally he is the best like relationship coach he gives the best advice ever but what I found is that when I was courting my husband to be married before we were engaged and I was writing my book before saying yes to the ring and while I was writing that book I was really asking myself or I was asking God the question god how do I know that I'm ready to be engaged how do I know that I'm ready to be married and then when I would get in arguments or disagreements with my husband who was my boyfriend at the time God would give me advice on how to work on our relationship and that never happened to me before I never was in a relationship where God would give me advice to work it out it was always like get out of the relationship this is not my will for you in the relationship the fact that I was in a relationship and God was okay with me being in that relationship and he was helping me to work on it it just had me know like this is a relationship where God is the foundation this is a relationship that God approves of and what made me even more sure and knowing that it was God giving me the advice because we could say what if I'm hearing my own voice or what if I'm hearing the voice of the devil I'm very selfish okay I'm a selfish person sometimes I'm human I tried to be the best human that I can be but we're all human we all have like that selfish inclination within us especially when we're angry so when I'm angry and I hear something that says be patient with him apologize be loving or like specific instructions on what I should do then it can't be me it has to be God so literally sometimes I'll be able to like God why are you taking his side and not taking my side but he would have to make it clear like it's not that I'm taking his side I'm taking you guys his side I'm for your relationship I wanted to be successful I wanted to flourish I am the foundation so listen to the advice that I'm telling you so sometimes when God gives you advice concerning the person you're in alert relationship with you can be like God why are you taking their side like but they did this they did that but he's really just looking out for your relationship he wants it to be successful and he wants it to bring him glory so once you're signed that your relationship has got it the foundation is when you're able to go to him you know when you guys have disagreements you're able to just cast your cares at his feet and really have him be that glue that brings you guys together be the one who reconciliate s-- everything and really causes you to work on your relationship okay so the next sign that God is the foundation of your relationship is when God is the one that brings you two together so a lot of people know my story they know that when I first met my husband we were unequally yoked and we ended up breaking up okay so we ended up separating breaking up but the second time we got back together it's not that I reached out to him I didn't chase him down he didn't reach out to me but we ended up like a series of events happened where we ended up meeting completely out of our control and we know that it's God who brought us together at the right time my husband completely changed and transformed his life gave His life over to God so it was the right time when we met later on down the road and when God brings a relationship together when it's not you pursuing the relationship you're not trying to seduce this man to be in a relationship with you you're not trying to get him to look at you trying to dress in a certain way but God opens his eyes he recognizes you just like in the Bible Adam recognized ez Eve and he said bone of my bone flesh of my flesh he was able to recognize that this was his wife and in the same way my husband I didn't have to chase him down I didn't have to manipulate anything he was able to recognize that I was meant to be his wife and it was God who made that presentation just like in the Bible how God made the presentation of Eve to Adam and her brought to Adam and presented her and he was able to recognize her when God brings a relationship together when he orchestrates it then you know that he is the foundation of that relationship and I want to go to Scripture it says in mark chapter 10 verse 9 that therefore what God has joined together let no man separate so when God has joined a union together what he is knit you together there is no bond like that and God is the foundation of your relationship number three the third sign that God is the foundation of your relationship is by the fruit of your relationship now it says in the Bible that we know someone is a Christian or we know someone belongs to God by the fruit that they show and the fruits of the Spirit we know our love joy kindness gentleness peace self-control all of those good things in the same way that we can tell that someone is a Christian or belongs to God by their fruit by the spiritual fruits that show through their life is the same way we can tell that a relationship belongs to God that our relationship has God as the foundation and God at the center when you see all those spiritual fruits flowing through the relationship you know there's forgiveness you guys you know you guys aren't perfect you have your disagreements but at the end of the day love is the foundation at the end of the day there's peace but when you see a toxic relationship a toxic relationship is abusive you guys are always seeing each other out beating up on each other putting each other down you don't support one another you're not there to encourage one another that is a toxic relationship there is no peace and I have many other videos on my channel about toxic relationships and how you can recognize it for a relationship is toxic but a relationship that truly has fruits of the spirit at the core of it not saying that you guys are perfect not saying that you guys don't have some rainy days but at the core of it there is fruit on your tree then that is a relationship with God at the center and I love that in the Bible the very first relationship that God created was the relationship between man and woman Adam and Eve and the number one command that God gave them was be fruitful and multiply that was a command he gave them as a family going forth into their purpose and some of us when we think of that command be fruitful and multiply we only think of offspring we only think of children and I know some people struggle with different things like you know maybe infertility I have a friend who struggled with inner infertility for so many years before she was able to get pregnant and you may feel like god I'm not good enough because you said be fruitful and multiply but we're not bearing any fruit our offspring through our marriage through our relationship but it's deeper it's deeper than just physical offspring how are you being fruitful what are the fruits of the spirit and I believe that God uses some families to adopt God use some family to show love to those who are abandoned those who you know would it normally be accepted into a family and those people who adopt and who do different things and who show love in different ways their fruit goes further than just an offspring they're giving the fruits of the spirit they're giving love into the world they're giving peace into the world they're spreading joy into the world and the beauty of it is we are all adopted we are all adopted is God's children we are all adopted into the body of Christ that God took us who were in sin who were abandoned into our own sin and Bandhan into our own darkness and he drew us out of darkness into his glorious light and we are adopted now we are children of the king and we get to inherit everything that comes with this beautiful and eternal kingdom and all of the fruits that come with it so I just think it's a beautiful thing you know the Bible says that I am the mind you were the branches and it says that apart from me you can bear no fruit but when you are in me and you are part of the vine you bear much fruit but every every branch that does not bear fruit it is cut off and it is thrown into the fire and that's what it says and you know that God is the foundation of a relationship and that those branches are tied to the vine
