17 Animal House Designs in Minecraft 1.14

in the new 1.14 update three animals were added that I feel could be classed as pets they are the Fox that squeaks along the Panda which kind of makes some odd noises and sneezes and believe it or not the ravager it's a very unique mob and I gotta say it's pretty pretty handsome looking and all three of these deserve their own ways of making houses for them so I've come up with a bunch of designs as I always do in a big old line and we're gonna go over them and hopefully you can get some inspiration from them let's begin the first one that I want to show you is a Ravager pit so I've made a big square area for a couple of ravages speed now if you're in survival mode like this the ravages will actually well they want to kill you so it's not a good idea to keep a Ravager in a space where they can get you thank you bigglesworth for that demonstration so it's always best to keep your animals at a safe distance especially these guys so I know half of you come for the designs and the other half just come to see what I've named the animals so this is bigglesworth and this is Herbert and what we've got here is an alternating stripped spruce and dark oak wood in line all the way around I felt like the whole brown and gray vibe fit these guys very very well mixing with some lanterns and of course the main thing is mixing in this floor with path pods or dirt and coarse dirt just to make it all fit together these guys like to live in a bit of a sty so that is what I've gone for and then there's a bed there as well underneath because even they need a nice little bed to sleep on as for getting the ravages to go in there there is actually a way so what you would do is prepare this pit ahead of time and what you do is make a little area of leaves like this you'd create a little area for you to stand on now if you create this out of leaves it actually acts as a big trap door let me show you by popping into survival I've got this guy chasing after me they're not particularly fast so you can get them to chase you now if I run over here and stand behind it there we go he's now in and thank you Ravager you may have to sacrifice yourself to get them to go in there but you see the idea they won't just run in by themselves because the Ravagers are actually quite clever but you can get them in using an oak leaf trap door well anyway that's it for the design let's move on the next one is a panda house and well it really is a panda room here so this is a proper Panda themed room with the basic outline of the Panda face protruding from the wall itself so this is almost a copy of the the Panda face this is Timmy and this is tabby and you can see their faces they're not exactly the same so it's kind of an interpretation but overall I think this kind of room works really well if you're keeping every single animal in your house by all means make the animal the room itself it's the same color palette and then you can add things like bamboo and leaves and water and all the other things that the animal will need a very simple one but let's move on to the next now this this is my kind of room this is for our ravager called Daisy now I'm pretty sure that the Ravagers would prefer this room over the horrible pit that we made there this is their natural habitat and I'm pretty sure so I've got a made a pretty pink room for Daisy the ravager filled with cake hay and everything nice lots of flowers to smell but they have made a bit of a mess in the corner I think this is quite funny if you do manage to keep one of these as a pet by all means use this idea because they're really sweethearts on the inside that's all moving on to the next one this is our first Fox house that I want to show you now who have we got here we have got fixie and we've got foxy so this is a forest themed house we've got a fallen over or a felled tree that's kind of rotting it's got mushrooms growing out of it is May out of strict dark oak wood however you could use just spruce or even full log it's meant to look like it's rotting a bit but it's got like this hole that's been carved out of it and then the Foxes are sleeping on the inside of it because when they go when it's daytime they like to go inside where it's actually really dark and then they go to sleep there foxes are so cute and they've got some really interesting behavior so during the day they will go and find a nice place to sleep most of the time but actually getting these guys to behave is quite difficult so if you want to where what you do is you grab some sweet berries and you give them one each and then their babies not them will be not tamed but they won't run away so there we have it there's our first Fox house and it is basically just an arch of wood or log over there in a big circle and I think this is probably one of my favorites of the video so let's move on to the next one we've got a dog house here this is a I think the only dog in the whole of this video and yet even says here beware of dog this is 100% a dog and not anything else and I think to prove it look at oh look at that look at that woof-woof yeah see you're totally a dog so yeah you could just make a pretty nice kennel for your your tamed wolf in there add a little window in the side this is just a really nice thing that you could put by the side of your house it's just a simple a-frame it does have to be a 2 by 3 minimum size that's quite a big dog house for some reason this one this this is a big dog Oh normally like you could fit them in a really small area but this this guy is obviously eaten quite a lot and woof woof you gotta be careful though some of these dogs they can they can be a bit but he's a good dog oh he's a big he's a good dog let's move on shall we - another Panda design this time it's outside in more of a Zen garden kind of style using a lot of bamboo so we've got a big hill with loads of bamboo on the top and they're all the different heights this is quite important with string on the top if you let all of this bamboo grow on its own it go crazy and it would be so high then it wouldn't look as good as it does there so we've got a nice fence around it and we've got pun and we got pan here and we've just got some features that they may enjoy like a rock some nice water area inside here like a little cave so this is more like a zoo enclosure than anything else but if you've got a zoo or you just want an outside area for your pandas this might be what you want moving on again we've got another Fox design now I did say foxes are so cute now here's another thing here's snowdrop now snowdrop is actually a white fox so I wanted to show you something so you can see that the biome is actually different here this is snowy tiger and then this is normal plains so snow drop here is actually a snowy fox and you just get them by spawning them in the snowy tiger biome and there we there we have a new a new white fox an arctic fox if you like they're so cute they're really really cute but if you spawn in a rabbit or if there are some around they will pounce on them whoa you over you overshot so badly there I want to show you the really cool thing that happens but this this guy was a little bit over enthusiastic hold on let's try again shall we are you gonna pounce on this guy and and he gets stuck in the snow they did this I literally found that out today it is so is so fun so yeah these guys could get stuck in the snow so you could even create a house with like a rabbit dispenser of some kind and watch them all pounce around in the snow getting stuck and being very very cute anyway the house design for this one is a very simple igloo now snowdrop is actually stuck in there so she is going to like lay there and sleep pretty much all the time because of the size of this and I've managed to do that just by adding in a few more snow than is behind it and it's worked out really really well so this is made up majority is snow blocks and then it's just got some snow next to it built up around it to give it a bit more shape and then there's a little flower pot out there so if you want an arctic fox maybe this is the way to go I think I just heard it snore oh that is so cute oh that is so everyone needs a fox in Minecraft seriously okay right so here's the next one this is pandas as we can see here and we've got another enclosure with a more Eastern Asian style pagoda I guess I think that's what they're called pagodas in the middle here with a bunch of hey we've got pandemonium and we've got to pit here so we've got a couple of pandas and again it's bamboo but the main thing here is this Hut that we've got here there's some scaffolding in the middle to make it nice and airy and I think that all works pretty well together and this gate is of that design as well so let's move on to the next one we've got another ravager only this one is part of the circus and I do feel sorry Oh Dumbo no Dumbo so what we've got here is like a circus cart with a lion bar and dark oak fence putting them in a pretty pink room is one thing or you could put them on display like this if you do feel that these guys are not misunderstood and that they are evil mobs so this could be a really good way to display that you've caught one for your base or you know you could even put some with pillagers in another cage or something that could be really really cool after all the pillager post has iron golems on display so not too far different from that so what we've got here is a little cart there's some little details on the front it's about four wide remember these ravages do need quite a lot of space then you can always trick them in to get in there with a leaf trap door there's a smaller wheel at the front and a slightly larger wheel at the back with trap doors to try and give it that full wheel shape let's move on to the next design which is another ravager one but this is a Ravager themed room and instead of just putting Hello Dobby not so free now are we instead of just putting the Ravager face on the back here which I could have done to be fair I've actually gone for more of like a metally themed room because of the armour that they wear so we've got smithing tables on the floor we've got some skulls to show they're dangerous and because I'm hanging anvils because why not smithing tables on the top for the ceiling and then we've got a do not cross me this is a security fence kind of thing here so this could be a really cool room design if you wanted to keep a Ravager as a pet not sure about that one moving on we've got another Fox design this is Finley and remember foxes can jump quite high so you have to be careful you may end up having to put fences all the way around just so that they can't run away and foxes run really really fast so this is basically a big old spruce tree this is a custom-built one and then it's got a little den down the bottom with everything carved out with a bunch of carpets and everything that you would need it to make it nice and cozy a couple of berry bushes couple of lanterns very snug indeed and mixing in pods all to the grass is a big part of making this one look really really nice moving on to the next one this is a mushroom house so similar concept to the tree one only with a giant mushroom this is of course custom-built and it will work with a normal mushroom but you'd want a big stem here and again it's carved out lots of pods or lots of carpet and we got flash in here as well I love the way that they curl up and sleep it's so cute however if you do get near them in survival mode they will just run away really fast so make sure that you do breed them and then the baby will trust the player and not run away it's decorated with cauldron full of water composter mushrooms and lots of plant life and then another couple of mushrooms here for decoration brown ones of course so imagine this in the setting of a forest maybe next to a woodland mansion or something like that maybe not you know it looks a bit funny when it's on its own but trust me in the setting of a wood it works really really well and moving on to you guessed it another Fox house now this is the Fox room so just like the Panda one we had over there I've got the Fox face in the back wall so it has to be a specific size 1 2 then 1 2 3 then 1 2 and we've got loads of foxes in here we got gelett we got funny and we've got squeaker because do actually squeak quite a lot they've got really high pitch laughs and voices and stuff I think foxes might end up being my favorite mob so this palette works really really well we got the orange terracotta and at the bottom the quartz pillar and then there's some like cat-like climbing frames and beds and stuff you get the idea so let's move on to another Fox yeah I thought I saw that poking its head out so this is another Hut styled one like her it's a kind of a big doghouse but it's got some Fox ears on the top which I thought was really really cute so inside we've got Fiona then you could see that she's got more than enough room in here and it's it's a quite a nice detail little Hut in fact this could be your Hut and you just keep the Fox in here with you as long as it's a trusted one it should stick around let's move on again shall we now this one is one I think you've escaped now how have you done that yeah don't look so proud of yourself hunter yeah that that will happen more than once because ah I found the culprit so they could just get out just like any other mob so you got to be careful but the design here is to take a small cliff edge and just build a little cave in here another snug little den of course foxes they do sleep in dens in real life so kind of taking that concept and put it in Minecraft and made a bunch of snug little locations for them a couple of decorative trees some berry bushes and you've got yourself a really nice little area for a fox and then maybe your house is here maybe your house is on the top just a nice little accompanying area we've only got a couple more left to show you now this one is very simple this is the doghouse a real doghouse this time and we got Maui in here now now he is my cat at home but foxes kind of behave or look like dogs and cats I kind of like somewhere between the two I really like foxes so I thought I'd put Maori in in the video of course so this is basically just a really tiny doghouse small a-frame and you just big enough to fit fox in obviously you need a trapdoor here there is a spruce lab there but if I open it now he's gonna get out which we don't want do we know so let's move on to the very last one which is a panda design so we've got a very very much like a woodland area with this fence alternating two kinds of woods with the oak and the jungle we've got a nice waterfall we've got some sugarcane this is a very natural environment and then we've got like a tar pool put across here it's like a hammock in a way so this is mixed green wool with terracotta so overall it's a really really nice design and we have got oh well that that's a did that happen that is all I'm going to quickly run through them all we've got the little dog house we've got fox den we've got the dog bigger doghouse Fox then we've got a Fox room we got the mushroom house the tree we got the ravager prison cell type thing we've got Dumbo's cart we've got a nice little panda house in there we've got the arctic fox den little igloo thing and we've got two more pandas here in a really nice like zoo enclosure we've got a real doghouse we've got a fox den in a broken log and then we've got the true ravager bedroom along with the Panda bedroom and then the Ravager pit that may or may not
