i come on oh come on [Music] feel [Music] eternal god our father who is in heaven the creator of all things lord yes we thank you lord for just being not missed this morning lord we have seen a whole lot this morning lord we know father you have the power to show us everything that we need to see yes you open our eyes this morning lord you let us know that father that you said you wouldn't leave us not for saving us we thank you lord for just the healing but men's awesome this morning lord reject your father for just seeing the hand seeing your way through prayer through everything that we've done this morning lord are you sure that you have to pray lord we just want to thank you this morning lord we ask that you continue to keep us strong lord and let us know that all things work together for those who love the lord we love you right now lord we come here to worship you this morning history we lift you up this morning lord because somebody's going through some situations right now we don't know how we're going to come out of it but we're trusting you at your word you're saying you shall find knock and it don't shall be over right and you have opened this door for us this morning lord we thank you for opening those upside down for us to come here worship you lord we worship you because we love you lord we want you because you have blessed us in so many ways you have lord [Music] [Music] [Music] we want to wait and see what you can do always know that you can do all things we trust you at your word if we just hold on to your name because we know a better day is coming coming from the psalms 137 one through three stand give god praise by the rivers of babylon then when he sat down yet we wept when we remember zion we hang our hearts on the wheels in the midst of them for there they cracked us away in verse two capital required for us is some and some that they wasted us required of us missing saying us one of the songs of zion how shall we sing the lord's song in a strange land if i forgot the oh jerusalem let my right hand forget her cunning if i do not remember thee let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth if i prefer not jerusalem upon my chief joy remember oh lord the children of edom in the city of jerusalem who said raise it raise him eating the foundation of thereof a daughter of babylon who are being scrolling happily shall be the reward of the ass thou may the lord have a blessing upon the reason of his word it may sacrifice each soul that is here servant also we're going to watch it this morning let the church say amen so we're going to open up in prayer and we say father it's again lord we come this morning father waiting for you lord jesus father god you've told us in your word that you sent your word father god to heal our minds god and to deliver us from our own destruction lord you promise us that no weapon form against us shall prosper in every tongue that rise and gain 10 of us glory in judgment god we can condemn and right now in the name of jesus i condemn you speaking i condemn you ever next time right now in the name of jesus and i declare that the blood of jesus christ [Applause] right now in the name of jesus father we thank you lord that your word [Music] that your word ain't gonna return [Music] but it's gonna go out it's gonna do exactly these things cause lord we know that there is no faith in you there ain't nothing happened that you didn't know about god [Music] so lord speak father for your power is this jesus made me pray amen thank you lord all right each and every one of you all for your presence here today we thank god once again that he gets a chance to show off because he is the thought of the god that you do the miracles i honor the holy spirit who truly is my god and my god and my sake i thank you lord this morning i give honor to our pastor and his absence i give honor to him administer thompson deacon's trustee then our friend and my design benevolent church family i thank each one of you all for your for your appearance here today and just for your prayers today this morning we will be uh looking at psalms 137 to the 137th song i will be reading from verses 1 through four so would you please stand for the reading of the word and it reads it says by the rivers and that found the 134th chapter verses 1 through 4. and it reads i'm sorry 137 sorry about that so we on one accord okay and it reads by the rivers of babylon there we sat down yay we wept when we remembered zion we hang our hearts upon the widows and the miss pharaoh but there they that carried us away captain required of us a song and they that wasted us required of us mirth saying sing us one of the songs of john how shall we sing the lord's song in a strange place that's the question today how do we sing the lord's song in a strange place you may be seated i will use for a topic this moment don't you lose your song don't you you lose your song singing can be done at as an expression of sorrow and you know the blues and and much of the country music that uh depends on this concept because most of the songs both most of the uh words there it talks about some type of sorrow but singing also sets the mood and the tone of any environment just as our choir who has banged so beautifully and unmissed lifting this morning how it has helped to set the tone and the pace for this worship service in the scripture singing usually points to times of rejoicing it is also connected with our worship toward god we will find throughout the scriptures god's people you and me believers in jesus christ blood washed holy ghost filled sanctified believers god's own people they are to sing unto the lord son or son say not to you not to me not to the pastor but sing unto the lord so when we come in here the choir is not really saying to us they are singing to god they want to point us to the lord because it is god who has done great things for each and every one of us so as we sing these songs it's not for entertainment each one of these songs tell us something about what god has done and if it's not pointing to the lord then we don't need to hear because we all know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god and because we've got so many things fighting against us right now we don't need no junk in our ears psalm 6 6 64 i should say 6 to 8 and 4 admonishes us to sing unto god sing praises unto his name psalm 100 tells us to make a joyful noise unto the lord all ye lands serve the lord with glass come before his presence with singing as believers in jesus christ and the children of the one and only true and living god our posture as believers should be one of praise praise for what he has done for each and every one of us in our passage of scripture this morning we find god's people the israelites sitting beside what it says the rivers of babylon they're sitting there but not only are they just sitting there they're crying and they're weeping but not only that then what they've done is actually took up the heart and we know that the heart was one of the main musical instruments for the israelites during that time so they have taken up the heart stopped playing it all together and they hung it on a weeping a tree [Music] they're sitting down dejected heavy heart broken down don't know where to go and don't know who to turn to because we all know that if we cast all of our cares on god he welcomes them because he says guess what i care for you so don't be anxious for nothing all right but by thanksgiving make all your requests known to them but these are god's people and when it happened to them we all know the story and what five and seven beat rbc that the israelites were sieged taken over by the babylonians and uh king nebuchadnezzar you all have heard him he's the one that went and he acted like a dog for so many years because he did not recognize that he was not god and that the things of god will not be desecrated the things of god are valuable the things of god are holy and you cannot come and make a madness out of god's spirit and god's people he found that out the hard way but what had happened was the israelites had turned from god they had turned to other idols they had turned away from the one true and living god they had made other things that they have got i don't know whether it was the football games i don't know whether it was uh uh what is it uh next next that's my problem sometime and i don't know i don't know whether it was the ipod or the ipad don't know what it is but they had started putting other things in the place of god and god warned them just like he has warned them if i can't be your first book i ain't gonna be your second and he has every right to be jealous of each one of us because he took each and every one of us out of the mind each one of us was born into sin because each one of us before we receive jesus christ as lord and savior each one of us have the life of adam living in us and jeremiah tell us guess what ain't no good things in this flesh not one single good thing is in this flesh so just like these israelites sometimes we get so dejected we get so depressed we just get so into ourselves taking our eyes off of god and we find ourselves upset crying over just the littlest thing all right just a little thing we forget once again and we say it all the time we've got a god who's omnipotent we've got god who's our mission we're not god and he knows everything and he watches over his word to perform it and he's our advocate and he ain't gonna let nothing happen to either one that's the kind of god we serve but sometimes like these israelites we give up and we sit down and we hang up our stomachs we don't want to say anything the choir ain't saying it right all right you know all right i don't better something oh right now or someone is just because i don't feel like singing today everything didn't go my way to me you know just like i told you all if i sat down and every time i fell out just to sit back and just sit down do you know half of my life i would have been sitting down somewhere but [Applause] [Music] you got these two children here in this house and their young children he said but i'll tell you one thing i'm going to take care of him he said because whatever happens to you if you decide that you're gonna transition to mark he said i'll make sure that everything works out for the good for them [Applause] that's all i needed god to say and yes i don't care where i am you let me get into some of my little faithfulness you let me get to the point that i get all shaky and don't know what to do i'm gonna bust out and sing and i was in walmart um about three weeks ago and i was just you know just looking at his face because you know the lines are so long and long and i don't care even the self serve so you know i'm just sitting there waiting like a good little christian or just came from a church took the kids to mcdonald's and now i'm in walmart and i'm just sitting there and some little girl she uh looked over at me and she started cussing oh she would tell me what you're looking at me for i wasn't even looking at it you just happened to be in my mind that's all and she just started cursing and just looking at me and so you know you had your master also i went on the lord will make a way [Applause] he will take away your sorrows [Music] and when the lord [Applause] [Music] relief [Applause] [Applause] [Music] if you can come at me with such cussing words the least i can do is seek you the song of god [Applause] and i tell you when i first found that in the scripture i tell you i was so happy my sister my mom probably helen too because i never have a tooth but i always like to sing and i will sing when i don't know what else to do because i know that if i stretch my hands i know the strength is coming through hearing i'm saying i know how to praise because as a black time watch i tell you sanctified holy ghost phil christian i know how to praise god [Music] we're able to do that so when the devil came talking after him and they said why don't you sing one of zion's song you know you that people that you said that you had this one and only god and he was almighty look at you now you had laughs once before but now you're just nothing but asleep they said one time that you all were the victor but now you're just a victim one time he was saying kanan the promised man but look at you now you are a prisoner in this life and so they didn't sing anything their thing was i ain't singing no song cause y'all might laugh at me i ain't singing no song but see one thing about it when you're praising you ain't singing for people so once again they took their eyes off the one who can bring that security that confidence that strength that's needed and they were so high trying to keep these people the babylonians from hearing any of the zion songs that they forgot about god they forgot about their own song so anytime that you keep it try to keep something from somebody else i don't care whether it's money or what if you close up your hand and i tell you ain't nothing going on [Music] nothing's coming in so while they were sitting down there trying to keep the babylonians so concerned with the fact that they were going to laugh at them because of the predicament that they had found themselves in and as christians we already know that the bible has told us over and over again that in this world you're going to have trials and you're going to have to do this be a good chief but you've got to know how to praise god it might be just like there's healing you need in your body because but i'm going to tell you right now that it doesn't matter because as christians believe us we win anyway [Applause] we've got to remember when the devil brings all of these things against us we've got to remember to assume and keep our posture of grace keep looking to the heels from whence coming [Music] he tells us over and over and over again i can give you the peace that passes all the you know you might have the best help in the world but if you don't have any peace guess what you still ain't got nothing you know he offers something that no money can buy and it can only come from the prince of peace we went over to afghanistan and spent all that money trying to bring peace to a country people who don't want to accept the prince of peace and we running why are we out of it now you can't have peace without the prince this is what we need to realize as we go through because you're gonna go through and peter tells you don't think it's strange that this uh um when you go through these firing um trials and tribulations don't even think it's strange because the only thing they do is working patience then the only thing it doesn't help you to be faithful full of faith when god comes that's the only thing i think we were in sunday school wanted to know it's bible study will jesus be able to find faith when he comes back church if we don't show the world faith in our lord in jesus christ they don't have a chance god came jesus came for the world he did not come for you all i'm sorry because you are out of the world now see you already closing your name is already written in the lamb's book of life you have already been judged already but he has given each and every one of us an assignment to do to go out there and tell somebody that jesus is still safe we cannot afford we can't afford to hang up ourselves we can't afford to do it because that's what where our power comes from this is where it comes from the praises of god because he says i am the praises of my people and that word inhabits means to like set up a throne and see that means that god gets on that throne and then he rules us so if they had saved i'm here to i really believe that they had said then when the enemy came out up at them when they when they came out like a russian win the lord would have just raised up and stayed because god would have been there the bitterness that they felt god would have taken care of that so when he comes when he prays he comes to inhabit you that he comes to rule over [Applause] those sicknesses that you were so worried about praising and see what happens you know the money that you can't see define praise them and see what happens and we get a very good opportunity every month every sunday from nine o'clock all the way up to 12 o'clock to come in and praise his holy man so like when we go out and when we face with the little cruises of this world we can go out knowing that our god [Applause] we can praise him because he already has taken care of us yesterday who wouldn't serve a god like that who wouldn't serve a god right and i'm almost finished with you all because i'm not gonna kill you today but i'm just gonna leave you three little things i want to tell you it's what praising god will do whatever you do praising god will make you do it better all right you can praise god at work and you will enjoy your work better or just at least tolerate it better if you don't enjoy it praise god in your home and you will probably have a better home life when you see that person pulls around or that person stood up and blocked me home because you're only going 55 miles and they want to go 80. you know praising god will give you the strength that you need to walk this walk because we have all been called to walk in this newness of life and there is no excuse why you cannot do it it's no such thing as just because you're you the scripture tells us that you are a brand new creature in christ jesus and it's no longer you living anyway it's christ living in you and the life that you now live you live by faith the son of god this is what so you have no excuse he has given us one of the most powerful weapons there is and that's praise prayer is enough learning the word is another but when it all comes down it all comes down to what god has said praise keeps us power oriented we are looking to the heels from whence coming out the health each and time each time that we praise when we do nothing but focus on our problems we tend to be led down to pessimism discouragement depression just anything that has no value to you as a christian because you can find a dejected depressed discouraged christian i won't even say a christian person anyone them anywhere you go out you can just go out there now and somebody gotta complain somebody don't have one good thing to say about nobody [Music] and we see people through the eyes of god even that's praising him because you are caring about the people that he cares about and like i said if you've been born again he cares about everything that you do praise brings us into the presence of god and we know that in his presence is fullness of joy and perish forevermore and we also know that the joy of the lord is our [Applause] we know these things praise is not a super christian thing it is not only for the time talking uh baptized on their way to heaven christians as children of the most high god praise is what we do i'm telling you i came from one necessary just one thing don't lose your son don't lose yourself there should be one song that you know that every time it goes it comes from the belt of your inward parts it forces you to look up to god and if you don't have any buy alexa and you can tell alexa alexa please i tell you praise is a powerful weapon for the christians we need to praise him amen so i'm telling you don't lose your song like these israelites did don't hang it up on a weeping willow tree don't deny someone or stop you someone to stop you from praising god maybe all they need is to hear you praise and then they might get another vote [Applause] father we just thank you once again god lord we thank you father god for just giving us your word lord god lord we know lord that this world is a cruel world we know father god lord jesus that satan is on every side but lord we thank you that you've already lord built a hedge of protection around jesus let me give you praise god you told us you said he that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shack of the almighty i will say oh my god lord you are our refuge you are our strength and we praise you on this year i tell you praise starts with jesus thanking jesus for what he has done for you because it was jesus christ who came down from 42 generations it was jesus christ who put his divinity on hold just so that he could understand what you were going to do and what i was going through it was jesus who decided he would paint that old red blooded cross he traded his crown for all of our [Music] we're talking about jesus this morning and if you don't know jesus in the free party and it is free it don't cost you nothing but a confession [Music] i don't know if anyone in our television audience is listening to this but this is my appeal to you we're going through so much now and there is more to come but god has already provided a refuge and that rescues jesus christ and so if you need a refuge if you need help because you have no hope yes if you need love because somebody told you that you would love it jesus is looking for you romans 10 and all you have to do is to confess with your mouth and just to believe in your heart that he's the son of god and that god raised him up from the dead you will be saved you will be saved because he has a place just for you so and just as jesus said in this earth so are each and every one of us there is power in your praise and our posture as christians is [Music] it is [Music] i shed my blood to clean you up and this blood never loses its power it flows to the highest mountain and then it goes so there is nothing that you can do no thoughts that you can think that his grace [Music] i know [Music] [Applause] [Music] is can't [Music] [Music] [Music] audience father we pray for them we praise god to meet every need have because he said that he will meet our needs according to his riches and glorious through christ jesus he said he had given us all things that pertain to the life in god [Music] and his grace is still sufficient and his compassion still does not fail [Music] so father god be with your people because lord if you are in the midst god [Music] thank you for being our god thank you for being our heavenly father thank you lord that you sent your word [Music] it is in jesus name lord that we give you praise it's in jesus name this is [Music] amen amen [Music] i tell you it's good when we let god have his way in our life when we give god just a little bit of our time you watch how much time he's going to give you because god will not be a death to anyone whatever you give to him he will give back to you a hundred fold and more so your time today has not been wasted so now we're going to prepare our hearts in our mind for our communion services [Music] if there is anyone in our listening audience we invite you to come and share in with us this memorial this remembrance this celebration of what jesus did for each one of us who will name him as their lord and savior so anyone um chastisement of our peace father the word tells us lord god that your blood cleanses us from all control so my father as we remember that we give you but lord we thank you because of this we can walk in the news we have fellowship with you god and we can call on our god and go before the throne of grace obtain mercy god and grace in the time of year thank you lord this is this is the blood that was shed for each and every one of you to cover your sins not only past presence but future it never loses its power he told disciples i'm not gonna drink the food anymore until i do it with you in my father's kingdom that's the hope we have that's all so let us all dream together [Music] it still makes a lot of difference in each one of our eyes it separates the boys from the girls nothing but the blood that's all telling you let us just prepare our hearts to just receive the benediction and just to go out praising god just because he is your father and just like any good father he takes cares all of our needs he's our providers and he's always present with us he's our protector and it was nothing but this blood that made that so father god it's again lord god we say thank you lord jesus i ask you to go with each and every one of you lord continue to show yourself strongly in their lives [Music] continue lord to show them how special they are to you lord god lord continue to reveal them the purpose for their life lord god [Music] let them know that no greater hands to be in but your head and so we may maybe we say may the love of god the grace of jesus and the sweet communion of the holy spirit let it rest let it rule and let it abide in each one of your hearts until we meet again it is in jesus name we pray amen
