deacon ross uh dean morass deacon jones nicodemus deacon campbell and all of our officers of this church it was great to see those officers out on yesterday that uh came by to help us give out our communion as we know today is first sunday and we do our communion service i want to thank deacon morass i got a chance to fellowship with him on yesterday and i just thank god for you and pray garage strength upon you and deacon ross who's in the hospital uh we're just praying for you also next sunday next sunday immediately after church at 11 o'clock those who came last month to get your first vaccine vaccine vaccine shot uh we will you can come back and get your second shot on next sunday morning that's immediately after service amen amen i want to say happy birthday to my sister-in-law there and uh gh2o uh happy to have a happy birthday we love you we love you we love you all right this morning our scripture reading will come from psalms 34 and it reads i will bless the lord at all times his praises shall continually be in my mouth my soul shall make my soul shall make her boast in the lord the humbles shall hear thereof and be glad oh magnify the lord with me and let us exalt his name together i sought the lord and he heard me and delivered me from my fears they looked unto him and were lightened and their face were not ashamed this poor man cried and the lord heard him and saved him out of all of his troubles the angel of the lord encamped round about them that fear him and delivered them o taste and see that the lord is good blessed is the man that's trusted in him let us pray oh gracious heavenly father is once again you have allowed us to assemble into your house of worship one more time and for that we just want to say thank you if we had a thousand times we couldn't thank you enough for all that you have done dear heavenly father the only father as we open up our service today we just invite your holy spirit in this place dearly father we ask right now our heavenly anointing of our praise team and our music staff the heavenly father we just want to just say thank you the hell and father come in and be with us this morning the hell the father the only father we ask right now to just continue to bless our leader of this flock pastor ellis and his family the hell and father strengthening him where his weak building up where he's torn down the heavenly father the only father you didn't promise every day will be sunny we want to thank you for the rain we want to thank you for life's troubles and life heartaches and pain but through it all the heavenly father you allowed us to to to roll on the healing father then the father we ask right now did you just bless those bereaved families that are out there the hell and father give them comfort in their hour of sorrow today the heavenly father then the father we pray now for those who were devastated by the storms or those down in louisiana the hell and father we just asked your your your grace and your mercy the heavenly father to just shower down on them the heavenly father as they go through their time the other father the only father we ask right now to just bless our president our leaders the heavenly father dale and father let him seek you first and you will direct them in the right way the hell the father a lot of times we try to go out and do things on our own of the lord which he spake by elijah i want to talk today about positioning ourselves for the overflow positioning ourselves for the overflow i want to talk about this this morning because i uh you got to learn how to put yourself and get ready for what god has for you get ready for god to do something out of the ordinary get ready for god to do something that perhaps he has never done in your life before but don't be surprised when the overflow comes because god has more than enough to experience diagnosis and overflow is to be filled beyond capacity that's what it is it has to be filled beyond capacity watch this to super overbound to run over the banks to utterly spill over the brim you don't have room enough to receive it when god gives you the overflow no one david said that no to my head with all my cup run it over god will run your cup over and i hear dr t.d jake said get ready your breakthrough your blessing is on the way in other words uh to have a breakthrough simply means you have more than you can handle and you can't do anything with what you got because you got too much the question is more can anybody in this room with me or anybody watching me could you stand a blessing like that this morning why you don't have room enough to receive where you what what what you can give you can give and give you can help you can help and still got more than enough i need some help i said you still have more than enough because you see whatever we need god has it how good god almighty an overflow and overflow well some people watch this can't handle this kind of blessing let me say again there are some who can't handle this kind of blessing why pastor because they contract what i would call cerebral well it doesn't mean your head gets bigger than your body cerebral you'll protrude when god blesses you the more god blesses us the more humble we are to be because god he doesn't bless us to see how many folk we can mistreat and how many folk we can walk over and look look look over look around he blesses us to be a blessing and if god to whom much is given y'all hear me much is required if god has given you a lot that means that you got to do more than the person that's beneath you i wish i had some help up in here but if you're living in an overflow don't let it become a distraction because uh don't let it part in you because the overflow should not be a dis distraction it should be an attraction folk ought to be able bond to look at you and me and everybody in here that god has been good too and they say look at you and say you know i want to be like them because the god they serve is must be taking real good care of them first of all they're full of joy secondly they got a glow and a glee on their face they dressing knives they ride nice they're living life god is taking care of them folk ought to look the only bible some folk gonna see is you and me and they ought to be able to look at us and see that we say the mighty god [Applause] now let me say this let me say this in this world you're gonna have some triumphs and tribulations every day won't be sunday every day won't be sunshine everything will be a honeymoon but i want to tell you be not dismayed whatever the tide god will take care of his own in case if by chance you don't know how to handle your blessings let me help you i'm almost finished let me help you let me help you uh know how to help your business let's just look at job as an example job was living uh-huh in the overflow y'all talk back to me i'm preaching better than y'all saying amen joe was living in the overflow but watch this doc job helps us to understand how to handle and overflow job was living in the overflow here it is here job was living in the overflow had more than enough but he we understand by joel's life the how fragile life is when you're living in the overflow in in the space of a day or so he lost family friends and misfortune but the response is what i want to get you to i want to get you to the response because job didn't respond like most people do when we lose our fortune i i mean i mean i mean that would be tough for all of us for what he had all the camels all the ox and all this sheep and all of that all his children he lost it all he was living in the overflow but i'm going to tell you how joe joe responded by saying the lord giveths he said the lord has given the lord takes away bless [Music] be the name y'all help me you're living in the oval room but if god decides did you all see what happened down in new orleans last week up on the east coast last week new york new jersey all up the coast it could have been you y'all talk to me it could have been me could have been your family it could have been my family just because you're living in the overflow that means you will always be there chief felt right here don't burn bridges men some relationships to realize that when god blesses you're blessed and and you know that's chapter one but you gotta write keep reading chapter 42 because in chapter one he lost it all chapter 42 he got double the overwhelm result when god lets us live watch this i'm almost in the overflow is that there's an abundance of joy joy is the byproduct of the overflow we don't praise god just because he blesses us if you too broke to pay attention you still ought to have some joy because the joy of the lord is our strength but when god opens up the floodgates and really showers down blessing i think it's a slap in god's face if we don't shout if we don't cry if we don't do something you got more now than you ever had in your life and you still sitting like you already got you don't folk like that they they they grew up like most of us meet up in mediocrity but now that god has blessed them they don't let that touch them they they want you to think they've always had a three-car garage i had a flat screen tv in every room that ain't the case somebody ought to tell god thank you this morning somebody ought to tell god lord i praise you somebody will tell them you something come on somebody tell god lord down through the years you shall [Music] been good to me regardless i'm almost finished of our prior condition when the lord blesses us you ought to turn back and bless him back somebody said how can i bless and i'm glad you asked psalms 24 1 says i will bless the lord at all times and his praises shall continue be in my mouth how am i gonna praise them i'm gonna take this right here and i'm gonna tell them hallelujah i'm gonna tell them thank you to you i'm gonna praise god you've been good you've been good to me the overflow i'm through almost it's not determined by your ability our ability to status statute nor talent or education the overflow watch this is a direct result of our compliance to the word of god it is a spiritual matter that when we are positioning ourselves for overflow you gotta watch this align yourself with the word and will of god and not lining god's word up for you the bible say don't add don't subtract because you take your name after the lamb book of life if you do that here's the text in the text we find a man by the name of elijah elijah was an overflow specialist elijah worked and worked and followed the will of god and wherever he went he received the abundance of the overflow god delivered uh elijah rather delivered the word from the lord to the wicked king ahab and told him god was not pleased with how he was leading his people astray a half could have killed him but god blocked it elijah moved on from a half down to a brook called the brook of sheriff and stay there two years and and and drink good clean cool water every day watch how god will take care of you he sent two ravens twice a day one brought in meat and the other brought in bread i guess he was but but anyway one must have been a butcher the other must have been a big anybody know god will take care of you anybody know what what you need god's got it anybody know if you hold on to god's unchanging hand he may not come when you want him but he will show up on time here we are now at the widow in zarephath and yeah not now this is a move that that was most dire dark knocks about this because the drought was severe elijah had predicted the vow about three years ago when he told ahab because of your sinfulness and how you have led the people of god astray the lord told me to tell you there won't be any rain in egypt or israel for three years i believe six months i believe but but but then he goes off the scene yeah but but god told the elizabeth i said listen elijah there's a little woman they said i sent you to the brook and they broke dried up you can't stay there any longer [Music] no water the ravens stop coming [Music] when one door closes can i get a witness god [Music] will open another when you sing like [Music] you at the end of your journey you're coming to a a four-way stop sign and you don't know whether to go right or to go left there's a bank in front of you but it can't be a four-way but you come to a stop sign [Music] and you don't know what to do is that anybody else there no god will order our steps that's what he did with the elijah told him go and to a little widow's house and she's going to take care of you well the bible said when elijah got there sooner that was disrelated picking up sticks and he and i just said to her lady wow you go in the house bring me back a glass of water [Music] and really this isn't this in the 17th chapter if you don't mind [Music] bring me back a little cake of bread i had to say oh man of god ours oh i wish [Music] i wish i had the resources to help you out but i only have enough for me and my son and i'm going in now to cook the last supper we're going to eat it when we gonna die can i help lord the lord the lord i gotta to close somebody you ain't gotta die until it's time for him to call you home yeah you should live and not die and proclaim the works of the lord i gotta go elijah told us since you don't have but a little on and make mine first can i stop right there it's something about putting god first that you will never be the last [Music] the kingdom of god and all of his righteousness and all of these things will be added unto you and let me just tell y'all if he told him to give me mine first it simply meant there had to be conceptions y'all missed that if he said give me mine first he knew something he knew god was up to something she obeyed [Music] the man of god brought him my heels first man and look what the bible says a meal bell never got empty how crude of all never ran out all i'm trying to tell somebody whatever you need god's got it i'm trying to tell somebody go over and put god first anybody on this first sunday and september 2021 who know god is still able to what he did for elijah [Music] still able can i get about a 500 000 out there to hashtag somebody and say yes i tried the man he named [Music] get ready get ready get ready get ready eyes and seeing eels haven't heard has not in the hearts of men or what god has for those who love him is there anybody in here getting ready for your breakthrough somebody say yeah somebody said yeah is there anybody here waiting on your overflow and i'm not just talking about money i'm talking about peace i'm talking about joy i'm talking about by love it came buy you peace it cannot purchase your joy some of us um our bells are about empty like the what late ladies was and i'm not talking about monetary values either we don't we don't love like we're used to we're low on love there's no peace like it used to be every day is something different we need to overflow people always complaining no matter how good god is we're still complaining ask god lord what i've poured out i need you to pour it back in there cause i feel empty i'm i don't know who i'm talking i'm talking with somebody this morning you feel empty you got the best job you ever had in your life you're making more money ever made but there's a void [Music] you're emptying you you need god to pull back in i know what david was talking about when he said creating me a clean heart new within me a right spirit and then restore unto me [Music] the joy of thy salvation watch this i gotta go if i can get my joe i can get some a job if i can retrieve my piece i can get a car but just a car house money loan is not enough until god pours something back into you i don't know who my preacher this morning i don't know who you are but if by chance you're waiting on an overflow i want to tell you god's got everything you need and more we'll take you in we took in members yesterday we'll take you in virtually or we'll send you wherever you want to go but i just want you to know that we we offer christ to you oh my brothers and sisters and he'll give you a brand new life new life abundantly all come come whatever girls got it i don't care what it first sunday in september 2021 we come god to carry out the ordinance that you left for the church and you told us as often as we do it we shall fulfill death your suffering and but most of all your resurrection until you come again i do ask now that you're such us because paul tells us that every man or woman ought to examine themselves and he had to eat it and drinketh unworthy drinks damnation to himself forgive us of our sins now cleanse us of unrighteousness creating us clean hearts renew within us a right spirit in the name of the father son and holy spirit amen this bread is symbolic of the body of our lord and savior jesus christ as he was wounded for our transgression says isaiah bruised for our iniquities and the chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes we're healed on thursday night before the friday's crucifixion jesus carried his disciples into the upper room and instituted this what it was called the lord's supper he broke bread he blessed it gave it to them and told them take now eat this is my body thereafter he took the cup blessed it and he said this is my blood shed in the new testament for the remissions of sins of many and i will not drink
