best baking school in all of canada first up this is a new character on the cookoffs right you guys have never seen his face before ever you might actually not even see his face today because he's got start i think we're gonna start with the all-purpose flour okay and definitely sugar cookies you need a lot of sugar yes um this is already exploding salt why do you need salt bro i just looked at a recipe all right i looked at the recipe i don't even know how to make them i just looked at a recipe list you need a little bit of salt in there my brother maybe it's half sugar household we're gonna do that okay okay baking soda what the hell i put this in my fridge so it doesn't stink okay so we're gonna do a little flower bed right here okay i don't know how this is gonna turn how much you need oh it's one cup flour oh okay and every one cup flour you go half a cup of sugar i believe i need to take notes for i have absolutely nothing left to do one cup we'll do half a cup you know i think that might be a lot for a cookie but you know these are sweet cookies i think the goal is to find out if these cookies i think they're going to be good david i think you're going to oh my god let's just stir this up okay okay okay we're just going to put a little [Laughter] ingredients actually have love on them because i don't know this is why you've never been on the cookoff if you can't crack your eggs with one hand you're over oh fast let's go so here this is my job brought little scoopers we have too much salt too much too much okay i'll take a hit you'll take a hint okay you should add some melted butter to your wet ingredients all right okay [Laughter] david grabbed a beautiful handful and we did wash our hands before so we're chilling and then it's going in the microwave so it's cool yeah he's breaking my house now you know when geez cheese is bad you put it in 10 minutes you need a little bit of vanilla extract just a little bit because this stuff is very powerful right manga that's right that's it that's all you oh oh my god oh that looks good though that's good you want to smell it no don't nut whisk it in oh and look at this cookie dough forming oh my god let's go oh my god wow wow this might be edible at the end of the day okay [Laughter] oh okay there you go oh that's nice so all that's left now is to blow it up and we're good oh wait we gotta add our chocolate this is why i should have went last okay now it's really thick all right i'm going with the square valves oh this should be good okay these are the chocolate chips you have a knife and some chocolate chips [Applause] i'll take another hit you only get one hit i'll take a hit from bongo okay please please let me see this you missed a lot of uh steps you're doing okay ultimately right now you're probably just going to have to work it with it with your hands use your hands that's my advice oh it's still too wet it's still too wet okay he's massaging it like pizza so here's the first cookie the second cookie presentation doesn't have to be too good here because we're gonna end up taking them off the train and then this is our final cookie right there so this is a strategy i'm score whatsoever that's minimum on eight it's overall score of 8.5 out of 10. now that i've given you your score of 8.5 these were horrible okay bongo is up next to make a cookie what you guys need flour okay okay holy hell oh my god using everything he's going off straight wait for your chest oh my god okay so bongo is starting off with flour flour but yeah the thing about baking is it's a formula you have to do it right or it's up notice how he's using one cup exactly like me he's copying your whole swag as demon like to say i love to inspire i love this fire oh no he's going with another a half he's using the half one why is this bongo talk to us about half on the other one i'm gonna go a cup and a half we're gonna do a half cup of regular sugar half cup regular sugar okay brown sugar bongo went to the bathroom and searched the recipe mango went to the bathroom look at him look at him he went to the bathroom and he searched it oh my god oh that's some sticky icky my guy all right pinch of salt what what just stop stop yeah okay so mango is this your dry ingredients brother this is my dry ingredients i'm taking a page out of dave's books wow wow wow that's another page i'll mix it up so a little bit of clawed butter yes they've used they've used a scratch yeah yeah they've got a small handful i'm going to use about oh my god while i was including yo we're on a instead of sugar but yolo we're using both little shaved coconut cheese that actually kind of does yeah do you taste a good cookie with raisins we'll see if today's the day dr hobbs all right bongo you are done mixing we're done mixing this is what we got going on here look at this beautiful mix perfect golden brown that's exactly what you want that perfect mix of both types of sugars the melted butter is in there all the ingredients are worked up so what is he's throwing is he trolling making stuff up right now i swear to you that actually might be a troll not trolling just putting a little bit of flour down here jeez there's one so you're doing the back of the spoon in front of the spoon just fold out technique a little different than david's technique a little he didn't this is probably the one thing he didn't copy one all right here we go all right here we go six cookies on the tray before they go in there what are the name of your cookies these are my uh himalayan cookies because they have the boring going in right now here i was late all right bongos cookies are done i knew it they're gonna be too big oh guys it's not all about the looks don't judge a book by its famous here cookies judging it completely for the looks i like that it has a crust the bottom is nice it should be softer on the top crispy on the bottom for the look i'm going to give it a 8.5 out of 5 i feed the coconut i taste the coconut i taste the score like caramelized score bits i can swallow them not like babies let's see the red let's see the raisin bite right here and look at this asmr particles of flour you need all soft oh when you shook it it went out very fast beer first goes faster that way some sugar sugar sugar is good yeah use the shifter again what oh this i see people use this i saw it's like some washing stuff baking soda yo yo oh okay dad put the egg in there okay here we go okay i like to make it you know when you you know i've seen my dad do some work with cement so what they do they put a lot of cement and then they put water in the middle that's what i'm gonna try to make make it look better and good i hope your cookies taste like cement my brother yeah oh we need to melt the butter oh i'm gonna use um a ha the whole thing because when we use the other half so i'm gonna be using this next half and the hint that chad gave me is this with the sugar yeah that's right yeah never mind you put some vanilla extract okay that's a little drizzle see all of them their cookies wear brown i'm trying to make mine look a little different ghee's chocolate cookie dough he changed the game you know it's really cheesy it's about being a revolutionary uh guy look at these that actually looks pretty cool chocolate chocolate chip cookies i'm gonna use some eminem some dripping drip drip m m's and some reese's pieces since this chocolate lava cookie we're doing in here the looks of those are awesome so far you know look how nice that looks look at this and some milk chocolate chips chocolate chips oh some double triple chocolate cookies yeah yeah yeah chocolate on top of chocolate those okay i'm gonna say those don't look bad oh a nice drizzle that's it that's it he is going for these smaller styles oh oh he's a pizza man he's doing the bongo technique here we go this is the advantages of going last you take a bit of dave you take a bit of bongo and you learn from your opponent's mistakes i didn't not learn anything from dave but um here we go can be on the inside gee's theory is these will it's gonna melt inwards and go on the inside exactly i think that's what literally all the other ones would do too are you done um yeah let's go name your cookies the chocolate triple chocolate melting lava cake cookie they're sizzling already the next morning all right all right the grand reveal of the final cookies oh come on come on i promise oh my god this looks like cookies more than anyone wow come on some double chocolate cookies and i will say the small technique paid off because they look like little bite-sized cookies they look amazing exactly like a little cookie let's try them try them what are they called again they're called the chocolate lava cake smoothie three blended um triple lava cake so they're not called they look like your dog's dookie the doctor lobs cookies do i have any volunteers to taste test this with me they've come out i tasted your dookiness and they said yours too bongo mine was great okay how do you know mine looks like a cookie more than ever for the looks this is the highest score you get in eight point nine it was saying nine ah okay it was close to nine eight point nine at a time okay oh here we go here we go okay okay everyone else yes that's oh my god yo what do you mean what do you mean what do you mean what's wrong so you're telling me you don't like chocolate yeah you're telling me you don't like chocolate are you trying to kill me what's wrong why what's that that's chocolate
