mall for rvs dude this is awesome this is like the equivalent to like the car guy being in summit like a camper being here why is this so exciting to me say goodbye to mold mildew and moisture okay electric grills it's cooking stuff we don't have the ability to cook yet in our trailer we should camp out tonight in barbecue yes so there's a toilet in there already but i've never opened the door to it you can't call it dude it's this big it's a one cheeker yeah we need to build a bathroom in that thing definitely even if it's just a curtain like that way we can if we're having to load some crazy stuff you know we never know just pull the curtain out of the way and have more area or something that's not a bad idea oh dude we need a hitch lock so i bought one of these but it's too short and it doesn't go out the other side long enough to actually get this on there we need a there there you go here's a long one just get this one there we go we'll make a pile of little stuff up here yeah we need it we need a hitch lock and then we need for it for the pin that goes through the tongue of the trailer we need that as well a little skinny guy like like this there you go camping world camping world is really cool uh especially if you want to buy an rv or get your current rv serviced however the shopping mall inside a little disappointing got to be honest the selection wasn't what i thought it would be and uh we struck out buying an rv specific or let's say big rig specific gps system that we wanted we wanted like a cool touch screen display that could show the backup camera and the dash camera and then show us where all the good cam grounds and truck stops are that a giant rig like lincoln hawk fits into and uh struck out on that deal um but we did find a wrench dave we found a ranch we found a wrench that uh is perfect for tightening 24 lug nuts on our six wheels on our boat trailer and um i did this side dave it's it's on you now you did that side yeah so the thing about these golf cart wheels is uh yes the tires are dot load rated uh each one holds about 850 pounds so six of them are plenty to hold up our jet boat um but uh the first time you go down the road on these i'd say no more than 25 miles later you should re-torque all the lug nuts and then after that i just periodically do it because they just they come loose occasionally and so uh we've been making it a daily ritual once twice a day on the road to just go over these things um and until now we've been borrowing a wrench because we forgot ours but inside camping world they had an extendable very cheesy and yet effective lug wrench that comes with all the sockets you need for everything from 17 to 21 millimeter and 3 4 13 16 is all that so we are now tight we have nothing else to install because we didn't buy anything else really a camping world and uh we're gonna hit the road again they didn't know anything about nothing we wanted a gps they couldn't tell us nothing about it nah a little disappointed not gonna lie however there's a youtuber out there that reviewed the rand mcnally rv something seven the one we were about to get he was like this thing sucks yeah we were about to buy it and that guy is like this thing blows and we were like saved us 300 thank you sir i'd shout him out but i already can't remember what video you watched i don't know wait bring it up on your phone real quick we need to shout that guy out because that guy just saved us 300 bucks he really did he's like the gps blows you're always lost it's always looking for a signal it's pretty much useless the camera that comes with it sucks where are we staying where rv staying that dude we watched this video he's like don't do it it sucks it loses service this the map sucks so thanks dude yeah shout out to mr where rv stang for saving us 300 bucks when we didn't buy the rand mcnally uh rv gps thing for lincoln hawk and now we leave you camping world thanks for the wrench well when she wrapped her loving arms around my neck on the dance floor at chelsea's bar i should have turned her away but how was i sea i was firing she was gasoline [Music] but we were both sad and lonely after what death have done but like rattlesnakes kicked across the ground a little suspect this giant truck it's just not like the rest and it feels shady it's a total home it's an rv right it's not shady at all i think we're smuggling people inside here it's just two random jet boats going to the wrong coast i feel fine i guess we should have another one with him yeah we screwed up it's all right i think trucks means commercial trucks and the rest of time you go that way [Music] that was easy yeah no problem [Music] for all you third-gen lovers out there this one's pretty clean [Music] we're just past a junkyard full of 57 chevys i'm attempting to turn around and go back to it so we can go look at some of those 57 chevys there were a lot of old cars there i saw i did see a fence i don't know we're going to be able to get near him but it's right on somebody's yard and like connect to people's house so maybe they'll i don't know maybe they're the cool kind of porter like not the hoarder that's like no i'm gonna restore them someday but they're 78 and you know that at any moment now someday could come for them so maybe maybe that's not them maybe this is this is the guy that wants to sell you doors that'd be great for your 57. this transmission hasn't been grinding once since i learned a double clutch thanks newbern i think rules now there's all kinds of stuff in people's backyards here yeah here's our c-10s so i know we hadn't passed it so it's gonna be down here on the left okay somebody there so maybe try and pull off to the left maybe you go right there in front of it keep on going past the white male box yep old tow trucks oh look at that fire trucks oh they are they're all 57 they're all 57 wagons everything wow this looks like a shop door with a phone number i think and a name on it let's get out and take a look [Music] dude it's gonna be so cool oh my god wow look there's a 56 rear bumpers front bumper doors open [Music] wow so you call the number there's a number on the door i called the guy he said the only thing that's for sale is that 57 hardtop over there he's like and it's real rough i was like man i was like i need some doors and some bumpers for a 57 post he's like i i got nothing i want to sell so that's the only thing for sales like right over there so there's a 39 or a 40 ford pickup sitting right here i don't know if you can get the phone in there and see it look there's another 57 right there look at that all of this classic american hot rod metal here and it's behind a fence and the owner does not want to sell man the 40 ford right there wagons hard tops four doors two door posts this car is for sale wow that's actually not that bad maybe i should call him back and ask him how much you were just on the phone again what happened well i'm looking at this car he said this car is real rough i'm looking at it i'm like to me that's not rough at all like look at this car like the quarter panels are intake the doors are intact the fenders the front bumpers are here the firewall the look at it this car is actually not bad it's not bad it's not bad and so i was like hell i'm gonna call and see what he wants for it so what do you say it's not bad 2500 bucks it's a bummer it's a hard top i like 57 park tops you like hard times [Music] 57 this isn't bad because it is complete like like look at the rockers and the fenders and stuff like this look at the patina on this car this is better than yours it's way better than mine she's got bumpers you see most of the trim like oh dave's falling in love oh hail he said 2500 yeah i bet you could get it for less two grand two grand would be a steal look it's got the bumpers the grill the hood i mean everything's there under the hood too most of it where's the hood i don't know i got a hood i sent my dude guys the hood i'd be like find the find the exact hood that came off this car and give you 2500 otherwise take two grand i bet it's here that car's not bad are you falling in love always dude this is car guy problems you see a cool car you hail you like all of them so i want you to think this through all right the other car junk yes but fiberglass fixes all that stuff right this one less junky good patina right so are you building a race car or just do a patina you're gonna offend me don't worry about it i don't want both oh my god i feel like this is like back home this would be a good find like this this looks solid from out here yeah so depending on what the floors look like and stuff like that it's on blocks maybe the floor is not rotted so he's on his way he said he'd be here in five minutes to let us in and take a look at it so i'm gonna put shoes on because i keep walking on ant hills and uh we'll go uh we'll go away for this dude what's going on dude hi how are you good how are you guys well i mean we're great as always but uh it gets better so uh we found a little junkyard on the side of the road dave fell in love i fell in love again thank you this happens frequently i think i'm about to buy a car and i need i need to somehow get it to your place so that i or or georgia so i can come back and pick this thing up oh my god look he's gonna he's pulled up in a 40. oh no no no no we need to borrow your f-450 in a trailer but right now we need to hang up cause he just showed up and dave needs to strike a deal oh god okay you can do this all right firewalls all beat in ten i think it's had a 409 in it at one time oh wow see where they cut the damn holes where they move the mounts forward oh yeah that was pretty common back in my day to beat the firewalls in especially when they put 427's in them or 409's okay that was all better than gold all right so that's a bel air that's a 210 and then the 150 had the least amount of trim it right i did not even have a 150 to show you you just had the good stuff i love it i love it oh these are great do you fall in love again just the doors those are the doors you need better than your doors i don't have the worst things that came with the car oh you tossed him yeah the car that he had uh it had what looked like doors but there was nothing you could put a hinge to on the door it was so rotten and so they were just kind of held on with a ratchet strap around around the body that was my christmas present to him i bought him the worst 57 chevy you've ever seen oh the wagon too the wagon is not bad either [Music] my wife hates wagons i love wagons [Music] this wagon's nice wagon's got a lot of really bad hail oh hail damage because it's a texas car yeah well this is a hell of a hail star but not like i said okay yeah it looks like it and flow boards are really bad floorboards are gone missing the door missing the tailgate okay okay i know they're all laying right apart oh they're up there okay so this would make a great race car i had some friends that put a tube chassis in one of these and a blown alcohol motor and cruises around on the street it's right there in the doors on the hood right it's here that's a cool car too yeah i tell him it's really bad it was in a really bad house was it yeah that's one hell of a piece of hell that right there wow look at the top look at that oh yeah yeah as you can see see this none of this bothers me because i usually don't restore anything i just i just make it fast then drive it around and look cool what people call patina i call perfection like this one i wouldn't do anything to this i would just put a chassis under it and a great motor and drive it got a glass tested right now it was took off and painted and used ball joints and put all on it oh wow wow look at all these wow wow quite a collection there's a permanent convertible oh there's a bunch of hoods let's play 57 chevy where's waldo this is nothing but 57 chevy leftovers fuel tanks for radiators that looks like a fire off of one it is wow [Music] oh my god that is so cool i've been to a lot of junkyards this is my favorite i gotta be honest this is my absolute favorite because normally it's pretty nice that y'all did anything man i'd like to spend with him guys yeah but you gotta in most of those yards you gotta walk past three things you don't care about to get the one you do this is like everything here i would take home everything here my wife would be so disappointed if i showed up with all these cars so you worked for the phone company yeah climbing poles and every time you climbed a pole you could see down the alley of who had what exactly and you moved them over the years and in 95 you got this spot and you dragged them all here yeah wow the reason so many of them are so bad of shape is one place i had them kept a friend of mine these kids got in there and beat out all of them glasses oh no some of the hits like on that first car that dave was falling in love with that looked violent like whatever whatever somebody did to that thing an axe makes sense yeah that's too bad they worked her butt off because i found the axe still now the handle broke out oh god in the car wow [Music] we got some old suburban some square bodies they're good storage vehicles they are good storage vehicles a lot square body suburbans hold a lot of try five parts we got interior pieces in here it looks like bucket seats would you say this is the roughest one you have roughest one yet this is this is pretty rough it came from down down on the coast of texas it's a good hood holder though yeah it's rock i mean rotten rotten rot wow oh there's the fender stash this is amazing right oh look at all the doors and more fenders look at the glass look at the windshields and the side glass i mean dave i bet we could roll in here and build a car and drive it out of here how much you want to bet we could build a car and drive it out of here in like a week bring we're springing the 454 to 400 and just bring it out here yeah a few pieces out of like every car here to make one good car well see this water car right here it's fairly complete right here hold six bangers this one here yeah you gotta see it is but it's rotten [Music] wow all right would you take 2500 there's a green hood on the back of the side of that wall that kind of matches the car would you take 25 that hood and can i pick some glass out for it oh sure most of these old glasses are scratched up pretty bad his vision sucks anyway so if they're waterproof if they hold you know hold out the water i don't care yeah what do you talk about with them there's a there's a stack of hoods there's a there's a dark green one that maybe kind of matched it so i take look at it real close yeah i've made a mistake many years ago and i didn't realize it i stacked them hoods up like that and the waters got in there and rusted the bottoms of them out okay there's also two hoods back over here sitting on a car okay yeah if i could if i can get a hood and we can get some some side glass and front back window i'll be tickled to that side glass there but there's a lot of pieces back when there's all these right here hard top back windows tinted ones those others are sedans oh the hardtop and the sedan is different yeah that's right okay which one is curved more this is your hard top you can see it's kind of got a curve right here because it's shorter oh the sedan is kind of more a gradual okay is there any windshields is that one windshield's over there or what i think so it might be one there but let's see i thought you're pretty they may not be yeah i'd look for trim before i'd look for glass i don't know if they're getting good or not either [Music] this is what now i see cracked on the other side i guess dave's buying a car yeah in the middle of texas i'm just here to support his bad decisions okay you want me to call your wife no no god no and you picked up one that i do have a title for oh nice whoa that's great the one he's buying he got in 75 wow i originally got it and robbed the seats out of it for a converter you don't have any old bucket seats do you have enough volkswagen ones in that suburban those are right oh look there's some gold stuff for a bel air still gold square body chevy grills i love your yard this place is amazing yeah absolutely amazing i wasn't expecting all this i've seen it i've seen it going by like last week and i think i need to stop there i had some cool stuff and once we actually stopped i was like [Music] what nova forgot all about that nova whatever you're about to part the nova to fix the jet boat i know [Music] i like the 55. i'm more of a 55 guy than a 57 guy i don't have verb that one doesn't look too bad so now the only question is dave uh how and what do we get at home with i don't know do you have do you ask emily who you're on the phone with briefly if she and eric can take their ford for f-450 super duty and haul it to georgia or do you have them hold to their house or do we ask if we can come back here with some tools and a motor and drive it out here cause that sounds like more fun to me that maybe that little gmc pickup he is i feel like we're better at it now than we were and we did that gmc pickup though that thing was a pile i was not disappointed the galaxy you know died this right here is why you gotta stop every time man look at that we were just trying to get to the other end of texas tonight and now dave's fall in love with another piece of junk it's perfect i love it this car is gonna be so cool always take the off ramp never just keep going down the highway i love it it's dope it's got so much character through the patina i can't wait to just kind of scuff it and clear it yeah that's all i'm gonna do cotton could make that hood yeah make it look like it's supposed to be on there has it got the bullets too yes oh yeah yeah we can find these we'll get these it's got this bullets he's got everything here we'll get these maybe even another fender over here cool dude all right let's get on the road make some phone calls figure out how the heck we're going to get this home let's do it done deal and even bought another car i can't wait to tell the family oh they're going to be so excited thanks sticky we'll be back wow thanks for the tour too oh boy if only they'd let us toe triples we could have brought it home with us [Music] [Applause] that's why you always get off the highway always knock on the door and don't take no for an answer because remember when you called him initially he's like no i don't have anything for sale right and then he's like well i got this i got this one but it's rough and then he's like yeah you can look for trim and hoods and whatever else you need to put that car together and he turned out to be a roadkill fan yeah i this is crazy so i called him he was like nothing's for sale the only thing that's for sale is a little hard talk by the fence and it's a rough car and i was like yours is a rough car i was like all right so it ended there so then when i looked at the car and i was like wait a minute i was like his roof is not my rough and i was like that's a nice car compared to what's in georgia so then i called him back i was like well how much do you want for this car and he told me and i was like what for real so then it got serious it got serious after that wait he came down here in a fully restored 44 yeah got out of the car and goes i know who you are and i was like oh no but that turned out to be a good thing yes he let his guard down he's like oh yeah you can look at the whole yard it was a tour so now the car was missing the hood so we found a nice solid hood with the bullets in it and the trim on it he got a hood uh he said whatever we need to finish the car all the glass the windshield rear glass side windows whatever we can find he's gonna give it to me i can't believe it score cannot believe it not a bad day oh brakes around it goes better when those rock [Applause] these are polishing the dirt off his wheels i like that guy name is dicky all right back on the highway i was not expecting that i just wanted two doors i know right i was just looking for two doors man yeah now you're looking for a way to get that thing home bam what a trip let's go get some jet boats all right maybe we can bring home a third jet boat because our luck has been really good so far oh my goodness dude do you know where the jet boats are they were before this same same kind of deal say i'm on the same side of the road same side of the road same kind of deal where they they were just they were in a little a little yard like that all right let's go find some jet boats this must be what it feels like to be ryan brett the automotive archaeologist okay so it has been a dream of mine to come out west and find a solid car right i've always wanted to do that and like oh man like wasn't even trying just happened on it by this coincidence oh dude thousands of people drive past here every day of their lives and never stop yeah you had the guts to stop and knock on the door and make the phone call [Applause] so the victor goes the spoils that dictates what goes what happens to the other car so that car literally just going to throw parts at it to get it to run and drive i'm not going to touch the body put glass in it we'll put a whatever motor and transmission we can find in it just to get it drivable the other car fiberglass doors fiberglass front end that just decided how that car is going to go all right sounds like a plan [Music] [Applause]
