you by wirecare okay so while the og roadkill ramp truck was getting fixed i bought four other ramp trucks with the exception of this one they were all medium duty trucks uh square force one is built on a one ton truck chassis that's been extended and it's actually kind of bending in the middle overloaded apparently and so that's really what prompted us to buy this one because this monster is built on an actual big rig chassis and it has a real diesel engine that's a cat 3208 i think and uh beyond telling you it's a cat 328 i don't know anything about it at all i don't know how much power it makes i don't know how to maintain it i legit know nothing and i've done no research so i'm just gonna walk you around and say look there's a cat 3208 diesel and then i'm gonna move on we'll figure out that later i suppose the kodiak so tilt front end uh it is an original crew cab truck with doors that lock and that i can't open to yeah just trust me they're you know they open let me just grab keys um it has crank windows and manual door locks so in order to get this one open i'm gonna have to unlock it the hard way and then yeah that's a rear bench seat that slides forward and lays flat so that if the truck actually rode halfway decent you could probably sleep in there while driving but since the truck rides so stiff you really don't want to lay there while you're driving in fact the driver's side has an air ride seat the passenger one is fixed so the passenger gets the snot beat out of them while you go down the highway meanwhile the driver is just kind of floating along we should put airbags on the back seat yeah yeah i mean there's a lot we can do here like there's still companies out there that make aftermarket captain chairs and you know the rear bench there's things we can do maybe we can get air ride for this seat maybe we can change the seats i don't know for this trip none of that's probably going to happen truck's in pretty good shape the floors are not rotted out it's just starting to get some bubbles of surface rust especially on the other side right out of the mirrors but in general it's in really good shape i've crawled under it front to back the chassis looks great and uh one of the things i like about this truck is the box is longer than square force one so if you're a hardcore fan of this channel you know we were able to stuff game over my twin turboed drag boat inside of square force one and we had to take part of the jet drive off the back of the boat to fit it and then the tongue of the boat trailer went all the way inside of the front cabinet in there this you don't have to do that it's a monster it has lots of storage underneath lots of room inside and ultimately newbern and i are gonna customize this thing like we're going to refit the inside of it i'm thinking it needs a big stereo system it needs an escape door on the other wall so when you pull a car in you can get out it needs a flat screen tv right here maybe a barbecue that slides out he needs things and it needs to not be a big red blob that uh that i'd like to see the bottom part of it because this is all aluminum like like polish all this and then i don't know paint or wrap the top of it make it look a little better it could use a new back door this one has seen better days uh the ramps are pretty good the wiring is definitely something we're tackling here today um we're definitely going to bust out the wirecare dominator 3000 wire rack and fix this because it has a hitch and it has trailer wiring it even has a trailer brake controller but the wiring is a mess and so none of that stuff really works very well so we're going to redo the wiring there when we get up front we're going to redo all the battery cables because they're sparking they're really corroded and when you start it it sparks i've never opened these compartments so we'll do some investigating find out what's in here it has an onboard generator i don't even know if it runs off gas or diesel but it's got its own onboard fuel supply for the generator and yeah my wife hates it i love it um if you recall i brought it home on our wedding anniversary and surprised her and she was not impressed not at all [Music] don't you i don't know why i'm so nervous but i haven't it's like you keeping somebody's house and got caught yeah it feels like that there she is yeah she ain't happy she's like what the what the so i've been storing it off-site not in my driveway and so when i brought it home today and reminded her that we still own this she was not thrilled not at all um but uh never let the discontent of someone else that you love ruin your joy that's the key to life it's a key to a happy life um you know she'll buy some new shoes or something i'm keeping the truck be fine look at it it's got a fire extinguisher i don't know why she doesn't like this it's got a fire extinguisher on both sides wow so if you're both on fire you both can save your toes i mean that seems fair or at least equitable all right anyway newburn you want to show me anything else about this truck that you've discovered because you've seen it more than i you've driven it more than i have uh my only complaints is the radio half works yeah the gas sending unit doesn't work yep and it's extremely loud and the gas fumes inside are horrific they're bad so we need to i want to check for exhaust leaks maybe the muffler is right up under the cab so i want to maybe extend it on back toward the rear axle somewhere or something i don't know it's it's got a muffler cool i don't think it's working it's really loud is it falling off is it not connected do i need to crawl under it we should probably check it out oh all right let me just grab some cardboard here [Applause] that's so jesus well that's not even connected like wow yeah it's got a huge muffler that dumps directly under the rear door which you know we should extend that um but it's broken half right here the down pipe off the turbo is broken half huh okay so it's going to get quieter that's good news i just need some dryer ducting i think uh what else are we gonna find that's just broken half what's in the glove box bow ooh lots of stuff okay first things first cd oh slipknot all right looks like this thing spent time in new york california car cover company oh axle straps and tie downs somebody bought good axle straps and tie-downs united states auto club oh wait oh this is racing hello wait a second here qualifying order 2008 springfield shane hollingsworth finished sixth and car number 20. ricky stenhouse hold on wait a minute we got nascar drivers in here ricky stenhouse and 08 qualified 44th in the 199 car at a springfield track who else i'm not a nascar fanatic so i don't know a ton of people so far ricky stenhouse is the only so whoever owned this was using it to go racing here's another one oh yeah here's the actual printout of that race look at that all right that's cool so we got some racing heritage going on here lincoln hawk we had some service work done in o3 engine make cat engine model 3208 it looks like check and tested fuel supply lines for leaks check and repair for engine shutting down customer replace fuel filter but engine won't start that happened to us remember it wouldn't start and uh aaron reeves fixed it let's see wow there's a long service list of what was done assembled fuel transfer pump um cleaned engine valley replaced numerous fitting seals replaced injection pump housing checked the fuel pump timing this is all done in o3 long time ago so whatever got done in o3 i don't know probably needs to be done again but norm mcdonald's phone number the comedian all right it went to lawrenceville pa and got scaled it looks like oh dude look at the old general electric bulbs all right oh dude road maps it's been to phoenix at least once in 1994. really yup waffle house interstate location directory this must be pre-smartphone because there's literally a pamphlet that has the waffle house menu and all of the locations at this time one thousand hundred 350 waffle houses and counting when was this that must be old because there's over a thousand in georgia summer 2004. so in the summer of 2004 we had that many waffle houses davey allison what what okay hold on a second here there's this a sema badge from 1996. davey allison apparently was in maybe the california car duster booth and this is his exhibitor badge that was my favorite driver back in the day i have a ton of his stuff wait what i have a ton of davey allison stuff from back in the day when i was a kid dude no way yes why is his badge in this truck that's weird don't let don't let bo eat it that's that's yours that's your christmas bonus for 2021. that's crazy in 1996. yeah why is that in this truck dude oh more waffle houses what here's this one in 2001. oh dude okay all right let's do the math you ready for this where'd that waffle house pamphlet go all right so in 2001 according to waffle house's own literature there were 1300 locations and counting and in 2000 for 350 so it took them three years to grow by 50 back then they don't seem accurate nah dude it's their own it's their own pamphlet like you got to trust the propaganda why would they undersell themselves maybe they were you know just taking it slow there's a waffle house at every exit on the interstate now there is but this is early 2000s what's this key go to could this go to like an airport locker and inside is valuable things that belongs to this truck like a car that would be rad long lock t45 dude such treasures oh dude and here's the options list for our truck all right passenger seat got one switches cab 92 inch bdc conversion base reinforced frame rear spring 23 000 pound rear axle we'll just vacuum the mouse turrets out of here real quick [Laughter] [Music] custom all right so here's the deal uh the truck overall is in great shape the wiring not so much we have a lot of cables that look like this see how the wire is not silver or copper it's blue that is corrosion all over the surface of that wire we've had other places where it's just cracked all the way through we had the ground circuit was actually coming from the negative post of this battery going to this disconnect switch and the disconnect switch was just stuck in the frame rail with a nut and it was dangling really loose and like you said i don't even know how this truck was running reliably so uh we're gonna use some new stuff from wirecare and techflex and fix all of the battery cables back here [Music] so [Music] uh those have been on there a while are we rusted that is the question that's very wet no we are not dave it's not rusted good it's very wet though it's been leaking the juke padding underneath the rubber mat is all wet but i think we can pull this out scrub this clean and uh dude we're stoked this thing is not a rust bucket it must have been stored indoors because these things always rust right here because these things are notoriously for leaking which is why it's wet under here but until we got a hold of it i think this thing was kept indoors trace that um that wire going up the door now okay we just pulled out the carpet and the juke padding no rust on the passenger side which is remarkable one small hole on the driver's side yeah it's not the end of the world and uh i'm about to pull this cb looking wire off of the door and then uh down through the kick panel and get rid of it because i don't think it's i don't think it's going to anything [Music] this is my patch panel for the floor on the driver's side that's the only rust so far that i've found you know rust through we got bubbles you know here and there sure but uh right here where the water comes in from above up there drips lands on the floor sits in this channel right here eventually rots everything out i made this panel which fits right in there and um not a lot of room to get to the back side of it so i'm gonna tape off the edges where i'm welding and paint this before i put it in there and then that'll just leave a little edge to weld and then i can touch up that right there and uh won't have to worry about it rusting through on the back side afterwards a little self etching primer that i got at home depot they make weld through primer which is pretty cool eastwood sells it i don't have any so we'll use this [Music] one light coat for no runs [Music] [Laughter] nailed it okay holes cut out patch panel is created i have gone the extra mile to prime the back side of it where we can't access and prime the middle of it in between the edges where i've got a weld now we'll weld that in place and we'll just have a small area to seam seal and paint over before i do that i'm going to take this welding blanket this is flame retardant and spatter proof and a really good way to protect not just me but also the glass the seats and everything else around here on the truck you can get these from wire care also um i think they're called dragon blankets something like that but uh i'll put a link in the description these things rule they come in all different sizes and we're gonna clamp this to the truck right now and i'll get to welding [Music] [Music] grind it seam seal it paint it so [Music] [Applause] oh there you go cool all right [Music] that was all of it that's it good because he was getting tired i was about to have to switch to the stranger [Music] you know what i guess let it puke out till it stops speaking out and put the plug back in this oh this i don't know [Music] floor is fixed wiring for the batteries is done really all we've got to do now is pack and fix the taillight wiring and put the carpet and some sound ending material back in this thing and we are on the road for arizona so what's up i've made it from georgia to texas uh with zero issues i can't believe it but uh the only issue i have is the brakes are kind of sucking right now and aaron said that we can adjust those i had no other thing so we're going to change the oil change fuel filter adjust the brakes and then i'm on the road to arizona with hopefully no more issues so cruising right now i'm at flynn's parks garage yeah yeah i'm emily that's aaron if you don't watch our channel flying sparks garage let's be real here all right let's get to work all right i guess our work here is done and it's time for newburn to roll out i'm sad crank up lincoln hawk and drive off into the sunset come on all right the truck is now fixed the brakes work so much better now thanks to aaron now i'm gonna drive from texas all the way to arizona i'm gonna meet up with finnegan who flew there to film a road kill he's gonna drive to arizona meet up with me and road trip back home to georgia this place is insane [Applause] bar and grill starting line like directly in front of it and then the track which is like the whole thing is like 10 to 12 feet deep is right here and then there's the pit it's crazy this place is place is insane i'm excited to race here [Music] thank you [Music] there he is after a long journey from georgia to arizona david lincoln hawker in the house minnegan's garage and boy do i have some news for him our latest acquisition a 1976 rogers bonneville tr jetboat complete with ls3 and twin turpskis this uh it's gonna surprise him this because i'm sure he was not expecting [Music] that mess and that mess i'm sure he wasn't expecting you know that let's see how he takes the news he's had a long journey he's done quite a bit of work to this thing pretty sure he had the brakes redone oil filter fuel filter like a lot of stuff and now he's finally arrived at the arizona drag boat races you're in beautiful hidden lake in buckeye arizona [Music] welcome to arizona you ate it you made it look at my tan oh dude you are an official truck driver look at that look at my leg you don't believe in sunblock at all do you whatever ah we're done sweet races are almost over [Music] what do you think she's a beaut does it run good i see a lot of oil it did run good oh no i can see through the side of the block yeah it's not supposed to be that way holy cow yeah yeah i mean was that like mid-run no it was at the starting line oh well that's good put my foot to the floor and uh just stuff just shot forward there's oil over the seat there's there's a lot of piston in the boat i've never in my life seen i've never done this nor have i seen this oh my god yeah like there's three holes holy crap there's three holes in this side of the block the block is cracked on the other side and those are chunks of chevrolet performance crate motor piston all over whoa that's impressive yeah so i'm thinking uh during this road trip home we need to find a new long block swap it out there and uh you know wow get home with a running boat damn dude yeah i'm drinking already i'm not gonna lie it's like i've been drinking since like your wife left me with a small package for easter for you so it's probably melted oh yeah there's no ac huh i'll give it to you there's no ac it leaks it needs to be charged or something i think what do you think your new boat [Music] is you like that thing get an oil leak it's a small one this is a lot of crank case ventilation baby well to fix that rat up yeah yeah crank case ventilation so i got some towels remove these they don't fall out they brought the whoppers that's good probably melted probably all right let's see here on the bright side uh matt ringer has a swimming pool and a barbecue and uh he said pool oh yeah those are really good but when they're melted that's good they're good they feel fine okay all right oh yeah they got a thin candy shell you're right yeah you're safe there you go sweet i'll take them happy easter thank you happy easter yeah i brought everything i guess we were on the side of the road we got blankets towels sleeping bags everything well um the roadkill crew this happened during a roadkill shoot felt so bad that not only did they give me a uh barbecue they gave me the charcoal they gave me a blender they gave me a lot of stuff for our trip home perfect as they're like hey you just blew up your motor sorry for your luck presents wow maybe some food will make you feel better yeah so we'll load everything watch
