do you want to play cleric for the support role that it provides a party but you want to be more of a frontliner getting extra attacks per turn and buffing you and your allies chance to hit and this might be the subass for you hey guys Omaha here today I'm going over the war domain subass for the cleric and I'm going to show you everything you unlock for levels 1- 12 clerics are representatives of the gods they worship wielding potent Divine magic for good or ill so clerics will get the weapon proficiencies simple weapons and morning Stars which adds your proficiency bonus to attack roles with those weapon types making it easier to hit and and then for armor you got light armor medium armor and shields so wearing those armor types will not impose a disadvantage on your attack roles or prevent you from casting spells you're also going to start with the level one spells cure wounds guiding bolt healing word inflict wounds and Bane so while we're on the topic of spells I just want to mention at the time of this recording I have done a video for all the evocation spells one for all the enchantment spells and one for all the illusion spells in the game I go pretty in depth on each spell and show you what they look like so if you guys want to see those I'll link one of them at the top and as a cleric you'll get two level one spell slots to start which are restored on a long rest and you'll get domain spells so you can gain spells from your domain they are always prepared they're not going to count against your maximum prepared spells you'll be able to choose three cantrips from thury sacred flame guidance resistance light blade Ward and produce flame you then choose your subass and for the video I'm choosing a war domain fortified by holy Zeal you brandish an arsenal of sacramental savagery to use against those you deem unrighteous this will grant you more proficiencies Marshall weap we and heavy armor it also give you two spells that are always prepared Divine favor and shield of faith and then you'll get the subass feature War priest when you make an unarmed or weapon attack you can spend a war priest charge to make an additional attack as a bonus action so to start you're going to get three of these War priest charges and they're going to replenish on a long rest so here I'll Attack I missed then I can use a war priest charge here it shows a main hand attack uses a bonus action and a war priest charge I'll do that and then I attack twice in one turn and I have two charges left you'll then choose your deity so depending on which deity you follow it's going to provide you different dialogue choices throughout the game and certain NPCs will see you differently depending which one you choose if you want to hear me read all these I'll post my life domain video up here at the top right corner so you can click on that and hear me read all those you then choose your ability points so keep in mind wisdom is going to be your primary ability it's going to be used for your spell casting ability so that's going to influence your chance to hit with certain spells and for classes that need to prepare spells it affects how many spells you can prepare you'll then choose your skill proficiencies and you'll be able to choose two from history religion Insight medicine and persuasion level two your health going to go up you'll get your third level one spell slot and you'll get the class feature Channel Divinity charges one so you get one charge to start with you gain the ability to channel Divine energy starting with two effects turn Undead and an effect determined by your domain replenished by short or a long rest so that first one turn Undead pray to turn all Undead they can see you for three turns so turn the affected entity must move away from the creature that turned it it can't take actions bonus actions or reactions other than Dash or try to escape an effect that prevents movement and that ends upon taking damage now to use one channel Divinity charge has a pretty big range so all three of them returned I'll end my turn so they're all just basically going to flee for me and that'll last three turns and then you have guided strike you gain a plus send bonus to your attack roll so the attack roll is what's going to determine whether you hit the enemy or not the attack will succeed if the rooll matches or exceeds the target's Armor class and that's going to use a channel Divinity charge as well okay so here's my guided strike it's a reaction so it can only be used in response to a specific event here I'll pull up my reactions page and I have that checked as well as my opportunity attack I'll end my turn so here I can perform an opportunity attack and then I can add that on so I need a 14 to hit and I rolled a five so that'll give me plus 10 which will get me up to 15 which will give me a hit so there I hit him here's the extra roll you can see I rolled a three and I got plus two for my proficiency bonus then plus 10 from the guided strike which gave me 15 and he had an armor class of 14 so that's how why I hit okay and then here if I go for a normal swing it'll pop up since I needed a 14 to hit and I roll a 13 It'll ask me if I want to use this it doesn't seem to pop up when you're already going to hit here it is you'll then be able to prepare five spells and those will be protection from evil and good Sanctuary Bane command bless cure wounds healing word guide bolt inflict wounds and create or destroy water once you have level three you're going to see your health go up again you get your fourth level one spell slot and two level two spell slots you'll also unlock the Spell's Aid blindness calm emotions enhance ability hold person lesser restoration Prayer of Healing protection from Poison silence spiritual weapon and Waring Bond and then you get two always prepared spells magic weapon and spiritual weapon and then you'll be able to prepare six of your known spells and remember the amount you can prepare is directly affected by your your wisdom ability level four you'll get that Health increase you'll get your third level two spell slot you'll be able to choose your fourth canant trip you'll be able to prepare seven spells now with a wisdom of 17 and then you can choose your first feet so a couple that I like for the war domain Savage attacker is really good Shield Master is actually pretty good as well alert is actually surprisingly decent because you get the extra initiative since your dexterity might not be very high and then also you won't miss out on turns due to being surprised and obviously ability improvement's great at level five you get that increase again you get two level three spell slots in the class feature destroy Undead when you successfully turn an undead creature it also takes 4 to 24 radiant damage they're both turned and he took 17 radiant and he took 15 radiant damage you'll then get level three spells those being animate dead Beacon of Hope bestow curse daylight ban death Glyph of warding Mass healing word protection from energy remove curse revivify speak with dead and and spirit Guardians and you'll get two always prepared spells first one Spirit Guardians and then Crusader mantle and now I'm able to prepare eight spells also at level five you'll see your War priest charges go up to four Once you at level six you get that Health increase again your third level three spell slot you'll get your second Channel Divinity charge and you'll get the subass feature Channel Divinity War God's blessing and down a nearby Ally with the glory of your God to grant them a plus 10 bonus to their attack role so that's going to work the same way as your guided strike except you can use it on allies now and this one will actually use a reaction resource unlike guided strike which just uses the channel Divinity charge so here Shadow heart's turn I'll Attack then it pops up asking me if I want to use War God's blessing so I do and there you see she rolled a six added plus two for her proficiency and then the plus 10 from war God's blessing and then plus one from strength modifier so she got a 19 and then you can prepare nine spells level seven your Health's going to go up again you'll get your first level four spell slot and you'll get the level four spells banishment death Ward freedom of movement and guardian of Faith along with two domain spells always prepared Stone skin and freedom of movement and then you'll be able to prepare 10 spells all right at level eight get that Health increase your second level four spell slot and you'll get the action Divine strike weapon so once per turn deal 1 to eight in addition to your melee weapon damage and for the war cleric the type of extra damage you deal is based on your mainhand weapon so with a mace that does bludgeoning it's going to do 1 to eight extra bludgeoning damage so here when you click on it it'll actually say once per turn deal 2 to 14 budging damage in addition to your melee weapon damage that's wrong it's still going to that's just the total damage that you'll deal so I took my 1 to six from my mace and then it adds the 1 to eight from the Divine strike weapon so it deals a total of 2 to 14 budging damage here I'll use that did 14 damage rolled five initially from my mace and then plus two from the ability and since he was vulnerable to bludgeoning it did 14 and then if you have a ranged weapon equipped you'll also get a ranged variant of that so so it'll take my 1 to 6 plus two from the bow and add 1 to eight piercing on top of that so here's that you'll then be able to prepare 11 spells and choose your second feet level eight is also where you're going to get five War priest charges level nine you get that Health increase again your third level four spell slot and your first level five spell slot along with the level five spells contagion dispel evil and good flame strike greater restoration insect plague Mass cure wounds and planer binding and then you get two always prepared spells flame strike and hold monster and then you'll be able to prepare 12 spells all right level 10 you'll get that Health bump your second level five spell slot and the class feature divine intervention you can cast divine intervention to invoke your God's Aid once used this can never be used again and that also includes if you Respec so if you Respec you're still not going to be able to use it so it says call upon your deity in your moment of greatest need once they interfere your deity will never do so in this manner again again the Caster can only use this feature once in their Adventure you'll also get your fifth can trip and then you can prepare 13 spells all right so divine intervention is going to give you four different variants the first one's going to be divine intervention suer the heretical that's going to do 8 to 80 radiant damage call upon your deity to bring forth a radiant cataclysm upon all nearby enemies and on Save the targets will still take half damage so here you can see the range of that it's a range of 50 ft so it's pretty big next up there's divine intervention opulent Revival resurrect Fallen companions with half their hit points and restore all nearby allies as if they had long rested so here you can see uh somebody down two of my companions and killed one of them I don't know how that happened but here's my opulent Revival voila they're all back next up we have golden generosity call upon your deity to provide you with a rich Bounty of potions and camp supplies boom there's a chest got all kinds of goodies camp supplies here potion of supreme healing some pretty good Elixir it's pretty it's okay it's not too bad I don't think it's the best option and then finally we have divine intervention arm thy servant call upon your D to Grant you a legendary weapon forged in the fires of your holy Bond and it's permanent and that granted me the devotee's mace so this weapon is going to do 1 to six plus three plus your strength modifier so right now I have the 13 that gives me plus one and then it'll add 1 to8 radiant damage as well and then it has weapon enchantment plus three which gives it a plus three bonus to attack rolls makes it easier to hit and plus three bonus damage it's also going to give you the class action healing incense aurura which gives you one to four healing at the start of your turn for 10 turns and that's going to recharge on a long rest and it uses a bonus action so here's the start of combat I'll use healing and sensora there's the range I'll then end my turn there it's my turn and I just healed all of them for one to four then I'll keep going on for nine more turns so here's a swing that just to show you what you can kind of expect damage wise so here's a little Pro Gamer tip for you so since you can only use this once per playthrough per character and you do not get it back upon respecing what you can do is take any party member that isn't going to be a cleric in the long run and at level 10 you use this give them the m or if you want the supplies or whatever and once they've used it you just Respec back into the class you originally wanted them to be so then you can arm your whole group with those maces or you can just give yourself a bunch of camp supplies all right level 11 you get the health increase your first level six spell slot and the level six spells blade barrier create Undead harm heal Hero's feast and planer Ally you also get to prepare 14 spells and then at level 11 your War priest charges will go up to six and finally for level 12 you'll get your final Health increase you can prepare 15 spells and then you'll choose your third and
