hey everybody it's mr. DeMaio anyway you're not planning on doing the whole video like that are you yeah why do you own a mirror yes are you legally blind no man come on what's wrong absolutely nothing anyway today we're going to learn about tsunamis where are we well tsunamis are more likely to occur in certain places than they are in other places here look at this map this map shows where tsunamis are more likely to occur the red area shows where there is a greater risk of tsunamis and the gray area shows where there is a smaller risk and the most tsunamis occur in a specific part of the Pacific Ocean called the Ring of Fire there are a ton of earthquakes click the link up above volcanoes click the link up above that occur there this place is really dangerous I don't care how dangerous it is I wear no Hello Kitty float I'm glad you realize how dangerous tsunamis really are tsunamis caused roughly 350 million dollars in damages each year here look at this picture this picture shows a town before a tsunami hit and this picture shows what happened after and before after before after before well I'm just glad we haven't run into a wife at 3 o'clock why would I wave at 3 o'clock Oh wave over there why would I wait pause it hey hey hey take it easy man over here man big giant wave waving at you like can't actually wave but you know cuz I'm made of water and all that but one day I wish I can that's one of my goals one day that and to get a college degree in plumbing is that a thing I don't know wait I thought you're a tsunami yeah big wave tsunami you couldn't call me whatever you like you know a tsunami is on too big on names but except for my cousin Peeta he spells his name with a Y which I always thought was kind of weird but all that matters is that you know what a tsunami is and it's a long high sea wave caused by a variety of things like earthquake or something whoa or earthquakes the only thing that cause tsunamis nam and lots of things do like volcanic eruptions landslides meteorite crashes and like I said earthquakes but hopefully you remember because I said that like 13 seconds ago or something wow so many things cause tsunamis but are they all as high as you well I don't know man I'm just a big giant wave I'm not even sure if I have a brain in my head or if I even have a head probably just a bunch of dead fish inside of a wave oh well maybe you should ask the dead fish hey dead fish inside the tsunami are all tsunamis as big as this guy yeah it's remembered all the fish I did maybe we can hang out and go find some living fish together you know no stop we're not hanging out and find a dead fish together hey hey take it easy man I don't mean to make a big splash oh that's just a little wave joke for you you know like a big splash making like a like a big big splash in the water we get it but to answer your question from before I'm a pretty big wave but most tsunamis cause the sea to raise about ten feet oh really big tsunamis cause waves to raise up to 100 feet and in really deep water tsunamis barely cause waves bigger than three feet they're so small people barely notice them Wow how fast can a tsunami travel well tsunamis can travel at speeds up to five hundred miles per hour if I ever travel I want to go to that one island you know where all the kits live it's like a big kit island imagine like all these different kits just dressed up in different outfits like a cat coupe maybe like a like a cat firefighter with little can't X if you zoom in on the X it's just Mia you kid islands actually a real thing you can google it if you don't believe me why google it but I got water hands I would destroy your phone oh yay tell me well I haven't checked my facebook Instagram and like knowing yes okay me use my electric toothbrush I don't even have any teeth when you get on you should add us okay what's the username at mr. dr. mayo yeah just remembered I can't write things down if I do the paper gets wet well maybe we can ask more of these dead fish no no more dead fish stuff fine take it easy mate hey what's your user name it's a dead fish 45 yeah tried to get just dead fish without the numbers but uh my cousin Peter with a white oak it sick of this guy and we just go home now no I wouldn't do that if I were you tsunamis can reach really far in land how far it's been seeing that some tsunamis can reach up to 630 miles inland I'd write this information down for you but let me guess have no hands again well maybe they're dead stop no more dead fish stuff please yeah I'm kind of over the whole dead fish joke anyway any time I think of the dead fish and start to cry it's just like more water porn on top of more what's weird all right I'm ready to end this video wait we heard about what causes a tsunami but how about how a tsunami actually occurs marketing it today you took they said well like I said before tsunamis are caused but lots of stuff but the thing that causes the most of them is earthquakes so let's focus on that so first an earthquake happens underwater and when the tectonic plates shift against each other a ton of energy is created this sends a bunch of energy towards the surface of the water this causes the water to move and the sea level to rise when this happens gravity is pulling it back down in this makes the water spread horizontally this gives birth to a tsunami what's weird is I said give birth to tsunami but that sounds like I had a little baby tsunami boy in 18 happened so I didn't wanna like miss lady hey hey where'd you go so glad to be done with that guy I mean it was just so no stop wave no way all humming one find some dead fish [Music] [Laughter]
