The Real MVP of *ALADDIN*

hello troublemakers welcome into another movie commentary Monday my planes were dashed I had planned on doing the animated one first and then doing the live-action one just to kind of refresh my memory on the story because I haven't seen the original one since I was a kid however Aladdin is in the vault for a few more weeks and I'm just like I can't wait I want to see this movie hey everybody just checking in to let you know that I am an idiot we know this we know this this is nothing new I had seen a September 10th date for a rerelease out of the vaults for the cartoon Aladdin but it actually released the same day digitally as the live-action Aladdin didn't know this because I'm an idiot we address this it's not too big of a deal I can just go back into the Aladdin cartoon in a few weeks I hope you guys enjoy this commentary over Disney's live-action Aladdin why did I sound like a movie announcer I don't know one thing you should know about me is when I want to block something out I can do it really well I don't know how this movie did let's check the Rotten Tomatoes 57% I enjoyed Maleficent and that was 53% so maybe I'll enjoy this I'm pretty sure it's gonna make me buy this yeah oh it's the HD or ultra HD you know what I'm gonna spend the five extra dollars you want to know why because I want to see Will Smith's nipples in Ultra High Definition rumor has it he's got some of the best nipples in Hollywood I gotta see them I can't make a judgement in just regular High Definition I need them ultra Lehi defined before we start this - I'm not gonna have a video for next week blonde vacation I'm just going home to see my family I shot one and it's good but if she's not gonna be quite ready you know okay we're there ships in the first 11 I don't think there were I think there was a big-ass desert but I don't think there were ships oh god I don't remember see this is why I would have been nice to have a refresher thanks Disney vaults for locking me out [Music] because it looks better Oh what's your our Fisher man a fisherman's does he turn into a freaking genie that I told you the story of Aladdin The Princess and the lamp what don't tell me he just story book tells us stuff oh I keep forgetting and I'm embarrassed I had a pink light when I did Cinderella people didn't like that Cinderella's got a blue dress probably should've picked blue my bad but Genie he's blue this is the good we are saving the blue for this week you know I can only use so much blue it's a rule [Music] oh I'm excited this is gonna be fun I like that transition a lot looking after the city from the boat coming over the water coming back up to the city I have them what's the monkey's name Travis I'm pretty sure his name's Travis Oh what are you gonna steal Travis Travis gets a round man that's right there's a tiger that's so cool that's gonna be the entrance to my home one day oh this is Jaffe monkeys that do parkour are my favorite kind of monkeys boo is that short for Travis oh he's got the heart of gold he's got a hot he steals but it gives to the poor they always have little scenes to make you like the character like just little things like that like yeah he steals but it's not for himself because he's not selfish take it easy come on take it easy Joe know about him is Aladdin I haven't bought into him as Aladdin yet trust me stop stop don't play that romantic fool music oh come on stop you incompetent guards I hear what here we go look at this man what a legend okay that was dope as hell I like this voice for Aladdin when he sings [Music] let me just stab the guard in the neck just turn into an r-rated movie this starts murdering the guards wait how do they shoot this I stared you know why whoa why do they speed this up that looks horrible where's the fun in that [Music] there are stairs you know where's the fun in that oh I don't like that at all I think the intention is to like speed it up so that people don't really know it's sped up but it makes the action look smoother and faster but you can tell that it's been sped up we jump we jump you can do this she just lands short false to her death that was smart drop the rug it makes it think that you know you fell through isn't more time to escape look at that plan Aladdin second only to the Sultana house that was way too dramatic [Music] it's time guys it's time the sacrifices that I've made what have you sacrificed a fee ii is not and it will never be enough when did I start watching 300 I just refuse to stand in front of wells I've seen it too many times [Music] welcome to my humble it's actually pretty nice I mean for free real estate only someone from the palace could afford a bracelet like that nice which means you are a hand mate to the princess impressive boy you got a surprise coming to you ever since my the queen was killed adults if you have a kid in a Disney movie your life shortens immensely you know who didn't have kids Carl Carl from up and he was all this hell and still alive don't have kids don't be in a disney world would have kids period my mother taught me that song plot twist she's she's his mother I lost them both when I was young Oh in the crowd in a crowd or something I think things will be different but it never seems to change if you like I'm trapped I can't escape what you were going into oh my god they really it's so hard do people have these conversations ever in real life sometimes I just feel so lost like I don't know what to do with my life like I try all these different things but nothing fills my heart with joy but it feels like I'm unfulfilled like no matter how much you accomplish you still feel like there's a void yeah [Music] I should probably get out of here no wait will I see you again do you have my bracelet sure I knew it anytime you see a character walk into a room slowly and look around just Noah songs coming I don't know if they like they get lyrics from the walls or something but they're always looking around hey boo there's a time that we do steal any time we don't maybe he steals cuz you call him the wrong name his real name is Travis aka monk monk you can call him if you want oh my god she's the princess if I didn't know and tell me of your beauty no one mentioned yours either thank you but he was right I like this guy so much I want a movie with this guy can we do that can we just do a spin-off but we want this guy he's hilarious it could be a comedy let me direct it I'll write the script for it he's hilarious what foreign prince could care for our people as I do I could lead if only oh she wants the crown for herself I have been preparing for this my whole life I have a bread whoops bucks bucks you're a box whoops looks surfer children it's better for you to be seen and not heard yes that was a know your place woman speech Jafar Jafar that was jut too far okay slow down what a boring number that was such a blind song all she does is walk across her room did he just pull oh damn he's good hey good he slick as hell I was born to do more than marry some useless prince you'd prefer that boy from the market stop I'm sick of people falling in love after having only like 20 minutes together my bracelet where is it on your wrist okay he's too talented he literally put a bracelet on her wrist without her knowing like she doesn't have nerve endings I think it would have been better if he returned the bracelet and then she fell for him cuz she sees what kind of man he is they've really implied that she fell for him before he returned the bracelet when she thought he was just a straight thief who stole her bracelet her very important bracelet the monkey stole it he's your monkey he's still just a monkey excuse me don't insult Travis like that for you Princess Jasmine your majesty great acting Oh aren't you supposed to be in the bath wasn't a vagina joke oh hey what what do you take heavily-guarded place an olive acaba bar should take off the disguise before you leave the palace I thought you were smart boy am I in a world of trouble boy terrible line that's so bad what did they call you Aladdin if you're a thief give people fake names oh he good steal an apple and you're a thief steal a kingdom and you're a statesman mmm I'm like Jafar still waiting oh he stood you up she promised okay cut him some slack though he returned he literally snuck into the palace a thief stuck into the palace a guy who has nothing just to return an expensive item that he could have sold for a lot of money cut him a little slack girl the lamb bring it to me and I will make you rich and take no other treasure no matter how solely you are tempted take nothing but the man what happens doesn't a boo touch touch something and then the play starts closing and then the the magic carpet sees them we'll see yeah my house is gonna have a softer landing than that I think it'll just be like a like just a living room in the front I don't think it's gonna be like a giant cliff onto rocks don't touch ya trap keep your hands to yourself that's tempting I want to grab that I know the rules to the monkey to slap him oh that's the best joke in the movie oh hey magic carpet oh he's stuck all the lamp is at the very tip-top climb your little parkour king always always the extra bit of drama just can you give me a little more emotion here dog oh no magic carpet magic carpet magic carpet yeah embrace your parkerich skills legends in parkour legends I'll leave that traitorous monkey behind nope not gonna make it not gonna make it not gonna make it there's just gonna be like a Mufasa thing Oh scar scar you ass but he doesn't have a lamp how would he get out oh he's a thief he stole it back somehow I don't know how he would have yeah of course he has to have a lap in order to get out can we can we were I need to rewind we got to see how he stole the lamp it's in his pocket right in his pocket in his bag when would Aladdin have all Travis Travis stole it I know that's how commas gonna be if you call them Travis one more time I'm gonna stop watching this video I can't man I got a naval trap it's Travis though oh here we go here we go here we go here we go here we go oh great one who summons me I am a genie you really don't know who I am genie wishes lamp none at I ring it about okay this is really cool this is really well done [Music] oh damn he's learning and splits Oh oh wait what this is the Lion King now rub the lamp stay to see what I can't make anybody love anybody the CGI on this is good what they're doing Will Smith I like so far I wish for you to get us out of this cave didn't he trick the genie way that's not his first wish I'm pretty sure he tricks the genie into getting them out but it hasn't count as a wish that's why I respected Aladdin is cuz he like duped the genie nama no cosmic power any living space lots of live from the original I know that totally normal so what would you wish for I wish to be free I'll do it I've got three right actually you have two left you used one to get out of the cave did I or did you thought I had to be rubbing monkey with the lamp trick has to be rubbing the lamp in or today ah Sally did in the first one that's Chi that doesn't feel like it's legit I thought he'd like really duped the genie in the first I don't know I got a comparing it to the original cuz I remember it super well who's the girl she's a princess aren't they all the deal is in the detail God devil is in the detail did he say the deal is in the detail and he really took out the word devil from this movie to family-friendly I wish to become a prince so he's a prince with no Kingdom so your wish what got him new clothes he should have wished for his own Kingdom instead of just becoming a prince because you get so much more bang for your buck don't puss on that is a big hat oh my god that's not a hat I shouldn't call it a hat that's a yeah to the tea turban Prince Tom oh it's filled with confetti oh that was dope yeah he would start riots in the street no gold coins you're throwing robberies that's a poor people expect fish thrown I'm just telling you now unfamiliar with we have a north and a South the world is changing quickly so far yeah north to south south is north and the world is changes so fast we can't keep up we have jams Jeb and what do you hope to buy with this you were pretty pretty chilled about it but that was from you know the magical characters so if they hadn't invented that they'd be like Oh what is happening I guess this new land has this crazy confetti stuff but this land has fireworks they have fireworks what do they have other technology do they have running water that's a question I know who you are you should you just saw him a few days ago you're a man of great ambition like myself oh you recognize his face perhaps I'm not making myself clear yes am I supposed to compete with that we've got to be more confident how did this turn into hitch how did this turn into a Will Smith giving a relationship advice I made you look like a prince on the outside I didn't change anything he's giving relationship advice to his client I say when it's the right moment that's funny Oh genius control I don't know oh that was sick that was so sick that was so dope Oh keep doing that keep doing that that's working he's freestyle dancing I love how his big pep talk was I made you into a prince but I didn't change you and now he's controlling his dance moves [Music] good job bro he had the Freestyle in her face something very strange he danced as well that's strange we don't have good dancers in this kingdom good evening how did you get past the guards I snuck past all 48 of them even the ones they did fire how is eating fire how does that have anything to do with difficult to pass them you pass the guards even the ones who eat fire they are nearly impossible to pass you know cuz they always light up the surrounding area with their fire breathing there are no shadows there are no shadows to sneak in how did you do it actually these are from me to you could you excuse me one moment actually gonna be happy dance ya know it no it's a stroll ler would you like what you'd like to have my baby to take and put it in the Charlotte er yes as people say I gotta be honest Will Smith is bringing a lot of life to this movie it's nothing like the original genie obviously but to be honest that one just goes in the Hall of Fame you don't duplicate that you try something different and this is different and I think in a good way the tiger is gonna get the skill of approval sniff sniff oh it's Aladdin love them right above oh of course shut up to her face how do you not recognize him this is pissing me off like you were falling for this guy yesterday or two days ago within the week if it's within a week chump okay I don't care if it's four days five days six days it doesn't matter eight days okay I'll give you some leeway but it's been like three or four max I didn't know right I hate I hate movies where they don't recognize the characters I actually like that in Cinderella the fairy godmother was like I'm gonna make sure they don't recognize you so she casted a spell over Cinderella but he need to do that to him value Oh maps are how I see the world what what maps are not everyone sees the world you dummy that's what Maps that's what the purpose is is that a serious sentence did I miss context who needs maps anyway and useless and had no practical value oh okay the context makes a lot more sense maps are how I see the world she wants to see the world basically she can't go anywhere okay that makes sense okay jump the gun a little bit there would you wanna I can show you the worlds that songs coming yes that looks so CG world outside of books bucks you're eight bucks do you want to take a magic carpet ride what are you doing sometimes princess you just have to take a risk [Music] skies those aren't the lyrics why we're shining shimmering splendid shining shimmering splendid what do I say he just abandons her in the desert to die a shark just jumps up why do I keep imagining their deaths I feel like I want to make a series of Disney movies high-budget but their twists theirs in the middle of the movie there's a twist we're like one of the characters dies and there's like a there's bedlam you know like in this movie she would die right now and then he would have to like try to convince herself and he's innocent of murdering her you defend great sorry are you finally figuring it out oh look at that adorable monkey down there is that a boo no it can be a buoys I only know Travis but how could I not recognize you dude um I'm embarrassed you should be we should have sex probably head back oh I mean I felt the mood the moonlight the magic carpet oh I don't know if I when I have sex on top of a sentient carpet Oh what what our Disney movie with like kiss in the middle of the movie unheard of they always blue-ball you until the end and sometimes don't even give it to you then okay guys guys can we talk for a second this movie's doing really well I'm liking it she figured out I was a lad you said that wouldn't happen Wow I mean Genie magic is really just a facade real character is always going to shine through oh there they are saying there's Genie magic I feel like they're trying to explain it after the fact though I convinced her that I really was a prince and you believed him why would the handmaiden not believe he's a prince how would a thief orchestrate that whole sequence where he came into the kingdom on elephant back with confetti and dancers and golds and emeralds and jams a thief would have jams no where's the man Oh attaboy Travis secure the magic lamp good play goodbye buddy oh I like this a lot I said the carpet just go and scoop my coward monkey go in and save him monk monk you traitor can't get you out of this unless you make a wish you can put a new city on a map but you can't lift him out of water I declare that my second wish used to be safe from certain doom I think the wish would be I wish I could breathe underwater because then you could have time to get out of water also later in the future you could just breathe underwater that's a great wish I love how his entourage is a genie carpet and a monkey that's his crew he tried to kill Prince Ali oh I like that a lot oh damn he's not to be trusted your majesty you were my most trusted advisor you see hey Steve walking like that Oh Jafar is locked up [Music] it's fast how did he get the key for the prison literally seconds after he was locked away people see what they want to see Aladdin is gone you know I was thinking about my last wish I know I told you I'd use it to set you free but you heard the Sultan you dick you'd rather me be back on the streets do Ewing to survive I thought you'd be happy for me but all you cared about is that I use my last wish to say you free you said you wouldn't he didn't try to get you to either you'd rather lie then give all of this up you were breaking my heart here kid Dini no hey come on I want that gonna have more emotional impact I want to see Genie one affected by the fact that he does not gonna get his freedom but he tries to play it off like it's all good but he can't so he goes to his he goes to his uh his lamp oh yeah that could have been executed a bit better yeah Jafar they set that up I like how they set that up he was a really good thief in the past street rat meat pack I wish to be sultan of octopus you didn't need to do that you really didn't need to do that to tell me he figured it out we know he figured it out he's looking at an empty bag come on now he's like how did I get that stolen from me the audience saw it too we also we saw heard the whole thing go down why revisit that dumb you obey the Sultan so you obey me now what she's now convinced that because he's wearing that he's the Sultan oh wow how does everyone just accept this who's there is there paperwork or something her in Cinderella with the war animals Genie you got the chance you were just a boy what when your father came to work the ground Oh will you do what is right my princess arrest the Vizier I wish to become the most powerful sorcerer there is how you wish for magic powers of his own Aladdin you are so dumb you are so dumb not wishing for that yourself does every wish come with a clothing change banishing you to the ends of the earth and marry your daughter she secretly had a crush on him the whole time [Music] Wow he's surprisingly good in these elements considering out that he's ever seen snow before do you accept princess Justin's Princess Jasmine do you accept the Sultan to be your husband nah fam she's gonna reach for the lamp throw it to Aladdin oh my god that is frightening Aladdin you could have had that power turning birds into bigger birds it's a damn war parrot oh boy oh boy oh god this is so good does he have a laugh no he doesn't wait there's a sorcerer need a staff is that a rule oh god we love a parkour monkey oh my god the road just ripped and the rug is alive it's not like losing an arm that is traumatic I think he wishes to become a genie does he not but he's already the most powerful sorcerer alive that's just seems like redundant there will always be something more powerful than you'll never have more power than me oh okay he baits him in some wishing for that you always be second okay become the most powerful being in the universe coming right up so he makes him into a big old genie yeah yeah they really made him one dimensional second it's like a trigger word for him I cannot be second ah burns wishes just because he's got a trigger gun to me not a master goes back into their land parrot oh he really did pull a parrot in animal cruelty anyone I it's little things like that that I hate so much it's like she just comes down like she's I wait the entire time and she sees her dad fall and they said of just rushing over there being like dad she's like dad it's like run over immediately that's clear acting it pisses me off watches halt still dad then run you can run as you say dad I hope you find what you're looking for you giving up now let me take care of afterwards wait I thought he said he couldn't bring people but is it people back from the dead is he just he specially can't bring people back because the carpet was alive maybe the carpet didn't die I don't know bit of wiggle room I guess you have because I don't know how carpet life works last wish Jeanne I'm ready hold on here we go I'm ready for this I wish to set you free [Music] I'll do everything you really do cuz you were out in the middle of Antarctica she'll have me when do we leave also I want children Vianne and Omar three Oh are you kidding me right now that's the thing is like when it happens so early in the movie they expect you to forget and I kind of did I'll be honest I'm a professional movie watcher and I did you shall be the next shoot okay very nice pretty go what he dipped already home he didn't even say goodbye he just ghosted Disney I'm gonna overlook the fact that the genie hello love story literally we see him having one conversation on one night and I'm gonna let the movie convinced me that that's enough for them to get married have two kids and sail the world together he's just like I want you to leave everything that you've ever known behind to get on a boat with me and we can live on the boat and she's like yeah obviously let's do that this is a joke did I just hear dj khaled in the closing credit of a movie do you know when abu saw the diamond fall or the not the diamond the-- the ruby whatever it is the red thing right and you're just like he couldn't keep his greasy monkey paws off of the ruby that's how DJ khaled is was saying another one like Jafar - Aladdin outside of the place like don't touch any treasure that's the director - dj khaled dj khaled just do not say another one okay whatever you do do not say another one Gigi Collins like okay another okay yeah he did it he did another one and day Jake I'll add I can't believe they gave him in another one how does it leave that in couldn't they edit that out here's what I'm gonna say about the movie I actually really liked it to be honest Cinderella and Maleficent they both felt a little bit thin and there was like chunks of movie where I'm like okay we can move this along but with the lad and the plot was actually pretty consistent keeping me entertained let's wrap this
