RE-WATCHING HARRY POTTER Marathon!

hello troublemakers and welcome into another movie commentary monday this of course is the harry potter marathon this is not however my first time watching harry potter in fact december 21st 2017 i released a video watching harry potter for the first time i think this channel probably had like 20 000 subscribers back then there were three big franchises that i'd never seen harry potter lord of the rings and star wars and i knew i wanted to make videos on them experiencing them for the first time this was before i ever started movie commentary monday it's kind of like a little bit of the origin of it i've refined the format quite heavily over the years as you can see i started this video in my car that's how you know it's a good movie commentary if it starts in a car there's a whole thing where i went to go get a hamburger that's like 10 of this video i have been wanting to redo harry potter in the traditional commentary format so that's what we're doing today in fact this intro is the last thing i had to do the video is edited i spent the last two weeks working on it i'm so proud of it i think you guys are gonna enjoy the hell out of this one but anyways this is a long video that original video 22 minutes and 28 seconds this one is almost two hours long so strap in get a snack you got your snack all right let's do it i was looking around for harry potter on a streaming platform guess what streaming platform has it it's peacock peacock peacock how do they afford to license exclusively all eight harry potter movies that's so expensive how does netflix not outbid peacock here we go baby let's see what i remember uh it shoots light it sucks light it sucks he's a light steeler he's a light thief he's percy jackson leaving him with these people i've watched them all day they're the worst sort of muggles imaginable they really are the only family he has and so it beginneth she's like we shouldn't leave this child with this family because they are awful and dude's just like yeah they're family it's the legal system we got it's we got no choice you're wizards wizards read him a new family can you do that zipity's app patronum mcfamily uh they just left him with the worst people like this child is so important let's make sure he's abused and traumatized as a child and try not to burn anything yes not petunia ah this is so smart an abused little boy it's got that cinderella element doesn't he get thirty-six tail thanks thanks he looks like a walrus has anyone made that observation ever this man is a human walrus oh that's gotta be so exciting ah that's what made the series so popular it could be any kid wondering why they don't want harry out of their house like let him go to hogwarts let him go get his magic spells and then he'll be out of your house out of your life you don't got to worry about him you don't gotta feed him you gotta take care of him also why wouldn't you treat him better if you know he's going to be a wizard what happened peacock you're really letting me down here this is the lowest quality video i've ever seen now he looks like a pixelated walrus what's happening hey when i can't find it bro i'm gonna go ahead and just rent it on youtube you about to get a tail you're a wizard harry you're a wizard harry there's gotta be a dark story somewhere of like an alternate universe harry potter where harry potter because of all the abuse that he has suffered at the hands of this horrible human muggle family and he starts using his wizardry to torture and murder somebody and he becomes a serial killer i i think someone should write it a fanfic but instead of like the fanfic being weird where like harry and hermione are like there should be a fanfic where he goes dark perfect sister being who she was mother and father was so proud this is actually like an interesting cycle so her parents didn't love her as much as they loved harry's mother so now she treats her son like their parents treated her sister and abuses her hated sister's son wow that's complex a car crash kalian james potter it's an outrage my man just learned that his cousin has super powers and he's just like but cake he's going to the finest school of witchcraft and wizardry in the world he reminds me of uh a gollum like he got his ring he's like i got it i'm gonna be honest though like shamefully eating cake makes it taste so much better i don't know what it is about it i think it's because you know such a wave of like disgust for yourself is coming so like when you pound through that cake you're just like i gotta enjoy it now don't even think about consequences unless you'd rather stay of course he's just going off with a stranger in the night that's when you know your life is bad is if someone a giant just busts into your house and is like hey come with me child and you're like yes i will come with you you strange hairy giant man harry potter oh he's bad he's ben the new nimbus 2000 the 2000 it's out already here we are give it a wave apparently not what was it supposed to do i feel like that's a good power again we go back to the dark storyline harry potter gets a dark wand or just gets that wand and he goes dark and he starts breaking [ __ ] kills this guy steals all the wants and then he uses his magical powers to orchestrate all the ones at once blows up the world might have taken it a little too far there's not much room for story if everyone's dead he killed my parents didn't he you know hagrid i know you do i love how you just talk about it so unemotionally voldemort started to gather some followers you've been posting some thirst trap pictures on instagram that's how you get the followers something about you stumped him that night it was like the power of love or something the power of love compels you his mother's love something something something [Music] [Applause] this is shot so well not like well as in like wow it's so great but in such like a nostalgia kid fantasy inducing way oh he's got a rat that rat is an evil rat i'm pretty sure this is scabbers by the way scabbers you [ __ ] rat like uh like a in in the way that like you're uh you're how do you explain this like in a mobster way you're rat like he's a bad person but he's also a rat so i don't know hermione are you sure that's a real spell well it's not very good is it but they've all worked for me ah she's she's the exact kind of kid in middle school that you wanted to bully oh boy oh boy wait she's not evil right she's just domineering she used to be a dominatrix it's part of the backstory you guys don't know um i'm more up on the harry potter lore than you are into your houses they are gryffindor gryffindor hufflepuff hufflepuff i'd uh have all the more house slytherin and raven paws raven ravenclaw ravenclaw nailed it ravenclaw got it i nailed it already and slytherin hey draco malfoy oh you little [ __ ] the dark forest is strictly forbidden to all students if you didn't want kids to go in there don't call it the dark forest like a name like that is so scary it makes people want to go into it you know what i mean call it like the the poop tree forest it's like oh i don't want to go in there the poo tree forest eel i'm gonna stay away from there you don't even have to tell them it's off limits they'll just not go good if indoor how pretentious better be gryffindor grethendor welcome to gryffindor this does feel so much like christmas thanksgiving oh that's professor snape head of slytherin house but everyone knows it's the dark arts he fancies yep see this is this is how you set him up to be the villain ron before it was like slytherin house uh you don't want to end up there and harry's like nah they're not slytherin and he's the head of slytherin house and he likes the dark arts everything just lines up for him to be the bad guy it must have been such a good misdirect in the books tell me what would i get if i added powdered root of acevedo to an infusion of wormwood uh you get uh silver where mr potter would you look if i asked you to find me a beezer you would look on the in the cupboards and what is the difference between monks hood and wolf being wolf spain has silver in it ah male's head yeah there's females here too what's the big deal [Music] this has to be expected kids learning to fly for the first time like they have to know that there's a chance that kids is not going to know how to do it right and fly off and kill themselves like he could die so easily here oh dear it's a broken wrist she said that she'd been in there all afternoon i seem obvious i wish they didn't include that shot because it's like every shot is important so why are you showing certain people's reactions so the cut to him shows that he has some sort of importance here i don't like that that gives it away nicholas flamel who's that who's nicholas flamel i don't know me neither your father left this in my possession before he died it's gotta be something oh it's invisibility cloak right yes some kind of cloak [Music] i love how the restricted section is so mildly protected it's just one little lever that anyone can pull at any time [Applause] what the hell show yourself oh he's so creepy he's gotta be scared too he hears noises in a mostly abandoned school like he's a creepy guy but creepy guys also get scared i think the creepy people get creeped out they must not because then they would know when they're creepy and then they would work to change that right like do serial killers get afraid of serial killers like when they're walking down the street alone at night and then they hear a sound are they like oh no nothing i repeat nothing gives a student the right to walk about the school at night that's a good shot there's been a number of good shots but i just want to point this one out i really like this because it very much shows that the three of these are together versus him ah i really like this one you'll be serving detention with hagrid tonight he's got a little job to do inside the dark forest ah they're in trouble for going out to hagrid's house at night so they get punished into detention and in their detention they're sent out to haggard's house at night [Music] oh why did he put so much of his fingers in it you just need a little drop on it that's unicorn blood that is it's blood he just went [ __ ] knuckle deep in blood you could just get a little get a little dab on your finger that's all you need ron hermione you'll come with me okay harry you'll go with malfoy you're gonna send two first-year students off by themselves in a dangerous forest oh is that voldemort it's feeding on the unicorn what a sector you must leave the forest is not safe at this time especially for you yeah so why do they send out a bunch of kids into the forest a bunch of 11 year old first-year students they're just like hey head into this dangerous place good luck if you die you die it's not like you're the most important person in existence harry give your dad the chance you might have tried to kill me tonight gulp oh the chess game he's going to sacrifice himself no you can't that's why it's so funny because she stabbed the horse he didn't get hit at all he just fell off like four feet like he's fine who would suspect poor stuttering professor the starter was a ploy i am so impressed i've watched this before and i didn't remember that i'm impressed again he really built up a persona that's pathetic so that he would deflect suspicion brilliant okay my food's here i don't want any judgment but i got some taco bell okay i got taco bell during the quidditch match snape tried to kill me nah i tried to kill you dummy oh this is freaky i don't like this it's gonna make me lose my appetite huh ah i don't care how loyal you are you don't let him live in the back of your head what harry's got high hands what is his magic burn ah they put so much cinnamon on my cinnamon twist thank you ah puberty's hitting them you see this you see these whiskers nice work harry and now that he has defeated a troll and literally saved the world from voldemort coming back he's got like so many girls man he's got to be the coolest dude at the school i don't know i'd like to see the the spin-off where harry has a harem harry and the harem harry potter and the order of the harem feels strange to be going home i'm not going home not really no this is your new home ah good good live chris columbus direct this same director of come on that's oh my goodness it had the same feel that's so interesting onward we move is it chamber of secrets is that the second one correct order harry potter chamber secrets is next let's find out what these secrets are where sherry abused his family really a good match for harry in the movies i know that to not be true so don't get me started damn it i forget his storyline but i remember it being funny yes drake has told me all about you oh she's and not just threatened him he said i'm gonna kill you and not only is it just any student it's literally the most important person alive so unlucky i wasn't there i know exactly the counter curse that could have spared her one thing i'm gonna keep my eye out for is just how everything just gets a little bit more dark even the next one i know has like a lot of like there's like a prison escapee and there's like a lot of darkness but even just like looking at this gone is that childish cheer vera is that not inhumane that was a weird fall splat with that much speed and momentum to just come to it that fast of a stop i think he probably tore his ball sack harry potter has caught the snitch why does it take a classmate of his to run down and step in are there no referees is there no one to like control these things like he's clearly being attacked and he has been for a while by this this ball shit's dangerous but not to worry harry i will fix that arm of yours straight away mendo ah __ ] alright that's the second harry potter day two troublemakers my stamina isn't what it used to be i can only record two movies in a day so we're on to day two of watching harry potter and i brought a special guest misoya i got a bone to pick because he was supposed to watch this movie yesterday and i did my makeup all beautiful for you for all of you i thought i was gonna watch four movies yesterday and then do with four today but after two i was like i'm tired this is what i would wear to my very own harry potter your ball you know isn't it beautiful what's the fuel ball it's not actually in this one oh my god what happened the seat is covered in sparkles look at this there are a lot of sparkles on this okay i'm a little cold here so you dressed up just so that you could come back and uh get comfortable yes okay this is like i gotta say though my favorite my favorite movie i'm sorry i'm sorry this is like one of my favorite ones yes sirius black was my daddy he fathered you yes did he die did the ki did the child die no what's this this is like a death photo she's feeding the dog is that killer for them doesn't that kill dogs i feel like this gives us more very worst thing about prison the worst thing about prison was the dementors i never understood that now i get it is it true i mean you actually fainted i love how they discovered hair products in the same year like harry and ronnie right what the [ __ ] is his name ron run yeah it is ron ronnie roy hogwarts will until further notice play host to the dementors of azkaban oh what dementors are vicious creatures they will not distinguish between the one they hunt and the one who gets in their way therefore let's put them in a school with children but only remembers to turn on the light that was cringy and really cool at the same time i couldn't decide you're as cringy as a filmmaker you know because it's like oh look at this look at my magic skills oh look at this what a cute pair harry doesn't need hermione he's got a whole hypocrack what is it hippogriff hippogriff they let you write them now what happened joint they don't even have a mount or like uh uh what do they call it a i never picked up on that never love it this scene turned me on not gonna lie we're not meant to start nocturnal beasts for weeks when did she come in did you see her come in oh my god shut up wow this is intense it thinks you're a prisoner escapee they're chasing harry for a reason though yeah that he they think he is serious yes but he's just joking around they don't know the difference between the fact that the dementors aren't supposed to come inside the grounds who won the game something else you should know too harry your broom it blew into the whomping willow and okay but who won the game i'm sorry to hear about your broomstick who won the game that's what i want to know i know gryffindor did lucino damn hufflepuffs okay don't come for my hufflepuddies look at this transition winter really did come wow that is a transition isn't it it's a nice one i like it yeah i know it's great did you see that transition that they just did that's crazy honestly i didn't you know this is very advanced magic well beyond the ordinary wizarding level expecto patronum expect to pass out the way he said it i know it's a success i love how they set it up they're like this is a complicated spell and he learned it in like three minutes two seconds jordan really like your father you are strutting about the castle my dad didn't strut you don't know he just like will defend his why do all these people let this horrible person get in their personal space honestly like they're holding the things to him and then they just let him get close without casting spells look at his nails he could easily just stick that into harry's neck real quick kill him together no no what harry honestly this is the reason why voldemort came back because harry let this mother you know i love for like six months harry has been holding on to a hatred for this man i'm gonna kill him and he was just like no i didn't do it he's like oh okay let's bond let's stand next to each other come and live with you don't tell me he does it you were going to kill him 30 minutes ago not good because he doesn't have control well he doesn't have control [Applause] [Music] oh he launched serious black harry's gotten sucked twice now these guys suck the third time like no they'd be taking too much isn't there like a deer or like a a moose or something ah there it is this is uh snape's doing snape did something for this to happen right no i'm pretty sure no three turns should do it he gives him the time stone right well she already has it and then they never use that ever again not normal mcgonagall gave it to me first time this is how i've been getting to my lessons all year that seems irresponsible giving a 13 year old like the power to control time but then again it's hermione yes still it's a child harry you can't hermione that's the man who betrayed my parents you don't expect me to just sit here he betrayed my parents i'll kill him until he invites me to live with him and then i'll live with him instead awful things happen to wizards who meddle with time harry all awful things happen to wizards who meddle with time as she's been middling with time all semester i saw the beast just now what is the executioner chop then he smashed a pumpkin that's what that shot was all about oh no i did see someone that someone made the dementors go away it was my dad it's my dad it was snape right you're starting to come around it's snape denmark is snape in a future movie snape and double door talking and then he shoots some [ __ ] deer out of a out of a window no am i mixing things up okay [Music] what are you doing saving your life [Music] right now he's coming for us yeah i didn't think about that how did you not think about that you thought you were gonna oh and he's gonna run away over there holding hands [Music] oh it's his sense of smell has got to be off the charts there's no way they're getting away and especially with how dirty and sweaty they are they probably smell up a storm storm that's a saying right she already just saved again remember when the centaur just came and saved them out of nowhere that's the same damn thing remember when the car came and saved them out of nowhere with the spiders yeah don't worry my dad will come it's not your dad who who'd you say it was snape oh it was himself it was himself expecto patronum oh i got chills it wasn't my dad i saw earlier it was me i saw myself conjuring the patronus before i knew i could do it this time because well i'd already done it does that make sense technically anything you're ever gonna do in life you've already done in the future it doesn't make sense at all yeah but what he's saying is like in the past he didn't think he had the strength for it but because he saw his future yourself yeah i understand that he didn't say but seeing myself do it in the future made me strong enough to do it he said just any anything okay yes he did yes he's i'm done i'm done yes he did though did they just bust him out of prison willy-nilly there's no magical guard on the door or anything it's just a cell it's just a gate [Music] there has to be anti-magic spells on the locks and stuff or something you'd think you didn't hear me did you huh for some time my life will be too unpredictable he's reneging on his agreement already he deserves to be locked up so love him though he's my daddy is it the tattoos no is it the the fact that he looks malnourished and pale you know yeah that's it how you doing oh god he's leaving it's like every new movie has a new teacher that just leaves could i ever go harry after you of course acting sucks oh yeah the children i did like this as an ending ending clip oh you can see that they've aged look at this beautiful mane of hair on the poster of the fourth movie big thank you to misawa for stopping by we are now on to the fourth movie the goblet of fire from what i remember this was my favorite one just because i feel like dumbledore flips the [ __ ] out on harry at some point doesn't he is he like you son of a [ __ ] harry i'll kill you and your family isn't that what he says oh look at his little arm wait doesn't harry get a new girlfriend hey cedric am i right oh cedric oh boy this thing oh yeah he's racing harry at the end he oh the quidditch tournament the quidditch cup he's acting so much like an extra he doesn't feel like the best seeker in the world he doesn't even feel like a real actor just watch him [Applause] no who's attacking oh the skeletors i take back what i said about harry's main harry's hair every teenager had this haircut at some point where they just let their hair grow too long but they didn't style it in any way so it just it just fell on your head it just doesn't look good you need a haircut i style it in some way cut it in some way where it's not just the same length everywhere like the sides are way too long i'm not sure for voldemort as long as you have that hair that magical powers how long were you gonna hang out to that shot why why did you hang on so long this movie just drags even in individual shots sometimes especially compared to the six films before it it's never been this low so your expectations for what a harry potter film is the the pacing of it you can't just slow down now when you're nearing the finale when everything should be crescendoing oh it's a patronus is that the sword why wouldn't you go get hermione like she's all alone right now without a want she couldn't even protect herself if she wanted to oh yeah leave that leave the one right at the edge yeah that one's gone hermione who is it money are you mentor oh it's the way that i just completely forgot about ron i was like who who else is in the story snape who else is on their side and look at harry's legs these are some impressive quads i don't think he gets enough credit for his quad game his calf game too that's pretty impressive harry it's a platform 10 inches it's a black one 10 inches what are you carrying around ron hermione's such a quick thinker she [ __ ] up harry's face so that she wouldn't be attracted to him anymore that was the plan i can't be sure oh i remember feeling unsatisfied with his arc when i made that first video i was like he didn't have a satisfying conclusion to his arc like he never turned people started telling me about a deleted scene in the final one where he had aids harry but it was cut from the film so thereby it just rendered his arc uncompleted so i don't think he helps harry here but i feel like he should actually cool it'd be a good moment because he if he didn't identify harry if he was just like yeah i don't know who this person is it's not harry then he would be helping them but i don't know that he does that oh oh darby comes in club what are you doing here dobby's come to rescue harry potter you see what he tried to do with his facial expression and everything i think they tried for this to be humorous but i don't think the director has like a bunch of humor in his style it's just not funny they tried a couple jokes in this they have not landed ones okay so draco didn't even have to come through here he wasn't even pressed really he didn't have to make a decision oh man i hope the books are different it seems so obvious that draco would have to make a decision here or at least be on he did help harry out a little bit but he also helped voldemort out a lot severus is the reason moody died moody's a pretty valuable guy what a satisfying series of films that's for you for still being here after two hours round of applause to you i did enjoy the first four movies more than i enjoyed the second for and i don't know how that opinion stacks up apparently i looked into it a little bit less people liked the fourth one than i thought and a lot of people liked the fifth one and i think that might be my least favorite one let me know what your thoughts are you've been here
