hello and welcome to my channel kuromos here today I'm featuring The hypnotizing Bart lock a blend of lore Bard and warlock that will focus on Battlefield control with our powerful spells we will have access to spells that will apply some form of crowd control like charm confuse or sleep since we will have high Charisma the Warlock dip will grant us Eldritch blast to have a powerful ranged attack available when we are not casting any spells for this build we are going to start our character as a Bart which is an extremely strong support class we will prioritize reaching level 4 as soon as possible to get access to our first feat for Charisma Improvement and therefore better spell casting and also we'll get cutting words at level 3. this is a signature reaction of the Lord part imposing a 1v6 penalty to an attack roll ability check or saving throw at level 5 we will take our first warlock level just in time to get our l Rich blast cantrip at level 5 all characters get improved countries so our Eldritch blast will improve from a single 1d10 beam to two beams a third beam will be obtained at character level 10. we will add a second and last warlock level to access to Eldritch invocations to further boost our Eldritch blast country utility for the rest of the build we will progress as a Bart ending the build as a lore bar 10 and warlock 2. this will allow us to have a steady progression of spells throughout the game plus consistent damage when we want to save our spells another feature of the lore Bard is magical secrets that will open some Spell choices from other classes this is available as a lore Bard at level 6 and as a part of any subclass at level 10. so with this setup we will get access to these secrets twice in our progression kindly read the description of this video to understand my thought process and some considerations for these guides also click the button down below to support my content without delay let's begin so our journey will start as a Bart we choose our cantrips and our level 1 spells for example healing Ward or some crowd control spells like sleep are very strong in the early game and flavor to build we get to choose our instrument and then finally for our ability points we're going to focus mostly in dexterity and charisma at level 2 we get Jack of all trades that will add half our proficiency bonus to skills we are not competent with we also get a song of rest which is essentially a third short rest to support our party at level 3 we choose our Bard subclass for this build is going to be College of lore and we get cutting words that will impose a disadvantage as a reaction for our level 2 spells we have several good choices I will focus the build mostly on enchantment and crowd control crown of Madness heat metal old person blindness or shutter are all good choices at level 4 we get to expand our spell list and we get access to our first feed it is going to be ability Improvement Charisma the main reason is to empower our casting ability so enemies have a much harder time resisting our spells and we are way more Charming than before of course at level 5 we are going to then multi-class into warlock we need to choose of course the Eldritch blast and we are just in time for the level 5 Improvement at this character level all our can trips will improve regardless of the progression that we have on each class we are going to choose our subclass the arch fan since we get access to a presence that is thematic to our build since it can charm or frighten enemies as an action it will also have two level one spells that will recharge on a short rest so we can have spells like armor of agathis hellish rebuke or hex at character level 6 we are going to select our second and last level in the Warlock we are going to choose our Eldritch invocations agonizing blast and repelling blast now our Eldritch blast will add our Charisma modifier to the damage and we'll knock back enemies as well at level 7 we get access to our level 3 bar spells some good choices are fear Cliff of guarding hypnotic pattern or plant growth amongst others at level 8 we will get access to our magical Secrets at this point I'm going to choose arms of Hadar since it's thematic with warlock and counter spell but you have many other great choices you can get Mass healing words if you want to be more supportive healing wise or you can also go for Fireball if you want some more area of effect damage once we reach level 9 we get access to level 4 spells our choices here will be confusion greater invisibility and freedom of movement also consider replacing spells as you see fit depending on your play style and which spells you enjoy playing the most or which ones you like less at level 10 we will get access to our second feed that is going to be ability Improvement Charisma to continue boosting our spell casting capability at level 11 we will get access to our level 5 spells you can go for mask your wounds hold monster or greater Restorations are all great choices to close up the build we get a level 5 spell and our magical secrets and here we can go for conjure Elemental and cone of cold to have some great area of effect damage but you have many other great choices as well so now that the build is complete I'm going to show you which items I'm going to use for the combat showcase as it is explained is just regular items nothing extremely crazy so you can see the build as it is however keep in mind this build is mostly a support character so it needs a strong front line to really make it shine I must admit that having the usual combats showcased here was a little bit tricky a little bit more difficult than usual but I hope you can appreciate that you can see some of the Spells how they work how you can utilize them and I thought it would be extremely long to explain each and every spells you can have them at a glance here feel free to post and I hope you enjoyed the combat showcase as usual the only Buffs that I will have precasted would be an armor of agathies level 2 slot a freedom of movement that is a level 4 slot and long Strider which is a level one ritual spell that will not consume a spell slot here I'm trying to cast hypnotic pattern however make sure you are outside of the area because it will affect you as well the enemies will stay idle and Skip turns so you can basically attack one of them while the other ones are doing absolutely nothing for the first combat I will only have footage of some spells that I cast because the combat got way longer than I expected we just had cone of coal for great area of effect damage and here I'm going to go with fear that if works the enemies will drop their weapons so you can actually pick them up from the floor so they will have to punch you after that thank you keep in mind that most of these spells are concentration spells so do not be a dummy like me and Cast X because it will cancel fear or hypnotic pattern and all these sort of spells here I cast plant growth we will create a large area which is difficult to rain but unfortunately inside it was a candle so after casting the area everything got on fire the plants burned so it didn't work here you can see the cutting words reaction I cast a cone of cold and I forced the enemy to fail the saving Throne so they take more damage here I cast fake presence because I want to charm him so I can leave from the melee combat without triggering an attack of opportunity I want to create some distance between him and me so I can cast hex and then throw a barrage of Eldritch blasts to finish him off also something you can do with hex and all the spells that we have is you can cast hex on an enemy if for example you want to cast a fireball this is a dexterity saving Throne you can cast hex and force disadvantage on dexterity saving throws and then later on cast The Fireball so the enemy will have disadvantage and probably take the full damage and these applies of course for other spells like if you casting fear you can impose disadvantage in their wisdom saving throws so for our second combat this is very difficult as a support character so I decided to bring the elemental with me to 80 and we also need to consider than this dist Baron will always counter spell the first spell that we cast so I always need to cast any spell as a bonus action and then proceed to do whatever I wanted so for this combat I decided to open with confusion so you can see they attack each other and they actually deal a lot of damage
