in this balers Gate 3 video we're going to be talking about Bard multiclassing what makes Bard so good at multiclassing we're going to be taking you through each of the classes each different breakpoint kind of explaining the pros and cons of what you get in exchange for you know what with each class keep in mind that this video is from a perspective of playing primarily as a Bard and it's not going to take into account things like dipping a couple levels into Bard you'll find those in the other class multiclass videos BS are an excellent multiclassing class in balers Gate 3 because they're very very front-loaded gaining a lot of what they get in the first five to six levels of their class allowing them to take lots of levels of other classes and still be very effective additionally they have a lot of support type classes if you're playing them in a support type role that don't require High Charisma which is their spellcasting ability modifier in order to prevent enemies from saving against them because you if you're not using offensive spells Charisma plays less of a role in the Spells so that comes into play too if you're multiclassing with something like a monk or maybe like a fighter or something where where you're not gaining you know any spell slots and you don't have anything in common in terms of your spell casting ability modifier you still could use barred spells to buff yourself or buff an ally or something like that and not have to worry about Charisma and something that also makes them really good at multiclassing is the fact that two of their subclasses gain extra attack at level six allowing you to still have two attacks and play a spellcaster with a lot of builds so first up as always we'll take a look at Barbarian bar multiclassing and this is a tough one in my opinion because barbarians rely on rage for some of their damage and also preventing them from taking damage they cannot cast spells or maintain concentration when raging which means that if you're playing a b Barb combo you're going to have to like cast spells and not Rage or cast a spell and then Rage or rage and then end your rage and cast spells or figure out a way to kind of work around the rage mechanic or not use it at all which kind of defeats the purpose of Barbarian and that can be kind of difficult to do particularly if you're new so first up let's take a look at 11 bar one barbarian which I think is probably the highest you might go and here you're going to gain unarmored defense allowing you to add your Constitution to your armor class if you're not wearing armor and a shield and also you gain Rage which I mentioned before which boosts your melee attack damage and also gives you damage reduction which is very very nice but again you cannot concentrate on spells or cast spells when you're raging or wear heavy armor so you will have to play around that if you're playing a Bard bar variant in exchange you lose a feat and I can see the case for going one level of barard here cuz you maintain a lot of things of barbs but working around rage makes it very difficult then at 10 bar to Barbarian you're essentially gaining Reckless attack which is great if you're playing like some sort of melee focused Bard like if you went like six levels of way of Valor or College of Valor or College of Swords to gain extra attack this could be really nice to have so that you'll connect more regularly you also gain dangerous sense in exchange for losing a level six spell and spell slot and this could be a good trade if you're playing like a marshall focused Bard but if you're playing a spellcasting focused Bard probably not that great of a trade and then at nine bar three Barbarian you gain a barbarian subclass and a rage charge but you lose magical Secrets which gives you access to a lot of spells you lose improved bartic inspiration which converts your bartic inspiration die from a d8 to a d10 at this point lose expertise and two skills and a can trip that is a lot to lose to gain a barbarian subclass and a rage charge so you would have to have a very very specific build in mind with some very specific gear to make this work otherwise I think it's not necessarily a great trade and then an eight bar four Barbarian you gain a feat but you lose Bard level five spells and spell slots this isn't good in my opinion I don't think the feet is worth losing all that keep in mind that you can upcast lower level bar spells with these slots losing those is pretty rough in my opinion so I don't think 9 and three is that great 8 and four is definitely not better than 9 and three and then at 7 bar five barbarian you gain extra attack and fast movement but you lose a feed this is good if you're not playing college of Val or College of Swords because they gain extra attack anyway and these don't stack so if you're playing college of lore this would be a good point is probably better than 9 and three and 8 and four if you want to go that route um but you definitely wouldn't do this if you're going College of Valor or College of swords and then it's six b six Barbarian you gain a barbarian subass feature and another rage charge but lose level four B spells in slots and again this really depends on like how you want to play and like what you're gaining you're you know the further down into Barbarian you go the more melee focused your build's going to be and less focused on spells so maybe losing those spell slots isn't so bad for you if you're you know planning on not using them all that much but I think if you're planning on playing a melee focused character that's not really relying on their spells there might be a better class combination for you and then we move to cleric Bard multiclassing and this is a bit better than Barbarian in my opinion there's a lot of things you can gain from cleric early on with just a couple of levels and also keep in mind that the spell slots from cleric add to the spell Slots of Bard so even if you had like not access to level five or level six spells or level four spells you'd still have a lot of spell slots that you would have to cast spells you can upcast spells and a lot of the best Bard spells are like in levels 1 to four anyway the only real downside here is that clerics use wisdom for their spellcasting ability modifier not Charisma like bards so you would have to focus probably one of these stats if you're talking about like offensive spells you'd probably focus on either wisdom for cleric spells or you know Charisma for Bard spells depending on how deep you went into it like if you're going to go like six levels into cleric and six levels of Bard wisdom might be an option for you but if you're only going a few levels into cleric definitely going to Cape with Charisma so at 11 bar one cleric you're going to gain cleric level one spells and Slots you're going to gain cleric domain spells based on the domain you chose and a domain feature from whatever domain you chose which could be very good for your build and depending on which subass you chose or domain you chose you also gain some armor and potentially weapon proficiencies um which can be very very good for a Bard um bards don't have the greatest proficiencies this could be very very beneficial so one level in cleric can actually do a lot for bar then at 10 bar 2 cleric you're going to gain the channel Divinity of the domain that you chose some of these are very strong depending on which you choose and turn Undead which is okay and exchange for losing level six spell and Slot this could be a wash depending on what you pick up with that channel Divinity and what sort of build you're going for but it's still tough losing a level six spell and Slot so I would only do it if you have a really good Synergy at Bard 9 and cleric 3 you gain cleric level two spells and Slots you gain cleric level two domain spells depending on the domain but you lose magical Secrets improved baric inspiration expertise and two skills and a can dri that is a lot to lose in my opinion I think you're better off going fewer levels in cleric or you're better off going more levels in cleric but I don't think I would stop here and at B 8 cleric four you'll gain a feat and a cleric hand trip but you'll lose Bard level five spells even though you'll still maintain your level five spell slots you can still upcast but you won't have access to Bar level five spells this could be good depending on the you know what you're doing because this could be kind of a strange build having access to a third feet might make this build actually come together this might be a better trade than you think at Bard 75 cleric you gain cleric level three spells and domain spells depending on the domain you chose along with destroy Undead but you lose use that third feet this could be good depending on what you want from cleric clerics have some really good Spells at level three and depending on what you want you know like this could be nice depends on what you lose with that feet but this is kind of a wash and then it's six bar six cleric you gain a cleric subass feature and a second Channel Divinity charge which is strong in exchange for losing bar level four spells so it really depends on what you want from The Bard spells and what you're gaining from that subass feature and what you're gaining from Channel Divinity charge and or what channel Divinity you have and this could be really good in my opinion I think if I was going to play a Bard cleric I would either go like 11 and one or 10 and two or six and six I don't think the middle Spectrum there is all that great because you lose a lot at going just N9 and three and then 8 and four is not that great seven and five is not that great but six and six getting that extra cleric subclass feature in Channel Divinity charge could be really good in my opinion so moving along to Druid multiclassing with Bard this has a similar implications of cleric except it doesn't give you as much at the front as cleric gives so it's probably not as good of a multiclass in general and also circle of the Moon D just doesn't multiclass well so you're talking about circle of the land or circle of the Spore when you're multiclassing which R really the circle of the Moon just going to want to take levels in circle of the moon so here we'll start at 10 bar two Dr because I don't think there's really any reason to go 11 bar one Dr because you just don't gain the things you would gain from cleric as I mentioned here you'd gain level one spells for Druid You' gain a druid sub class and you would gain wild shape in exchange for losing a feat and a level six spell this is not that great of a tradeit in my opinion there's just not enough from Druid here to really justify this even though you gain a druid subass losing that level six spell uh could be really bad and the feet as well I would recommend going further into Druid if you want to do this at nine bar Druid three you gain Druid level two spells you gain subass spells from either circle of the land circle of spores and in exchange lose magical Secrets improve baric inspiration expertise and two skills and canri this is definitely not worth it do not go 9 and three this is not a good break point you you want to go further if you're playing Druid otherwise there's just no real reason to do it at B 8 Druid 4 you gain a feat a druid can trip and wild shaped Deep Roy in exchange for losing bar level five spells this is kind of a wash depending on what you gain from that feat level five spells are really strong so I think that's probably a bit better in general you know the wild shape really doesn't help you that much cuz I don't think you're going to be playing in Wild shape much with this setup um so I don't think I'd stop at 8 and4 either at Seven bar 5 D you gain Dr level three spells and subass spells and wild strike which you know really doesn't help you if you're not wild shaping off and or losing a feat if you were going to go bar Druid I would probably go at least this far just because you need to get some levels into Druid to really make it worth it and this is probably the minimum I would go to do that and then at b six Druid six you gain a Dr subass feature and a couple more Wild shapes in exchange for losing bar for level four spells there are some decent grid subass features at level six it's not so good on Circle of the land in my opinion but if you're playing circle of spores you gain some really good stuff at level six so you're playing circle of spores this is probably what I would go and frankly I would probably go circle of spores if I was multiclassing circle of the land you can pick up some decent spells for sure but because you're losing magical secrets from Bard uh after you go below 10 Bard levels it's kind of like you might as well just go Bard level 10 if you want those spells anyway so I think I would probably just go circle of sports six and six otherwise you know I think I probably wouldn't multiclass with Dr so up next we'll take a look at hard fighter multiclassing and this is a pretty decent multic class in my opinion you get far more out of it if you go College of lore however because of the extra attack that Valor and swords bars gain at level six that doesn't stack with fighter if you go real deep there you know there isn't as much of a Synergy if you're going to take a lot of levels of fighter but if you're just taking a couple levels of fighter there's still a lot of good stuff here and something I want to note here as well is that if you're playing eldrich Knight then the spell slots from your Elder tonight are going to stack with the spell Slots of Bard and you will still gain more spell slots than if you went you know like uh battl master or if you went Champion or something like that and you would have access to other spells as well that you can use your b spell slots for so there is some good Synergy here too between eldrich Knight and Bard even though they use intelligence for their spellcasting modifier because a lot of their spells are defensive in nature typically and these don't really require High Intelligence so let's take a look at 11 bar one fighter first and the first thing you're going to gain here is proficiencies this is weapons and armor but also Constitution saving throw proficiency if you take fighter first and that's going to apply to your concentration spells making them harder to interrupt which bars have a significant amount of these so I do recommend if you're going to go 11 bar one fighter that you take that level fighter first to gain those proficiencies and that can really set you on the right path additionally you'll gain a fighting style which is nice particularly if you're planning to play like a college of Valor or swords SP since that can really help you out and you'll also gain second win which can heal you and you gain all this for losing a feat I think that is a pretty good trade in my opinion and then at 10 bar Two fighter you're going to gain action surge in exchange for losing a level six spell on slot and action surge replenishes on short rest which is nice and your Bic inspiration will also replenish on short rest with as many levels of Bard which which is good and this can allow you to attack twice in a turn or attack and fling a spell or fling two spells and this works really well no matter what sort of Bard you're playing so there's definitely a case to be made for 10 bar Two fighter just to pick up that action surge if you don't mind losing that level six spell and Slot now at nineb three fighter you gain a fighter subass but you lose magical Secrets improved bartic inspiration expertise and two skills in a count trip that's not that good in my opinion I don't think if I was going to go Bard fighter I would go you know I'd either go 111 10 and two but I wouldn't go 9 and three I don't think I'd stop there I think I'd keep going into fighter or just keep a couple levels dipped in fighter and then at eight bar for fighter you're going to gain your third feat back in exchange for losing bar level five spells and slots and this may or may not be a good trade depending on whether you really need that feed or not depends on how much melee you want to focus on your Bard or how much Marshall rather you want to focus on your Bard versus how much spell casting that you want to do obviously the further you go but I don't think I would stop at 8 and four if I was going to go into fighter and I was was really looking to make a proper hybrid and then at Seven bar Five Fighter you gain extra attack from fighter and you lose a feat in order to gain that so you're only have two Feats here and this does not a good Synergy with College of Valor College of Swords because they have extra attack already so you're really not gaining anything here if you're playing those two sub classes this makes sense if you're College of lore otherwise you'd be better off going like 11 and one 10 and two with any of the B sub classes and then it's six bar six fighter you gain an extra feat from fighter at level six in exchange for losing level four B spells and Slots if you win eldrich night you will still have some spell slots from level four same is true um at level five fighter and seven Bard although you won't have access to level four spells from Bard at level six and six so you really have to decide whether you want three Feats in exchange for losing those B level four spells slots or not but if you went eldrich Knight you'll still have the slots if it was me I'd go eldrich Knight College of lore 6 and six or would go you know College of Swords caller of Valor like 11 and one 10 and two something like that and then we come to monk Bard multiclassing and there is some Synergy here although it's not obviously apparent monks typically use their key on Flurry of Blows although they can use it on step of the wind if you have two levels and patient defense which is not a bad use of key Either they typically use it on Flurry of Blows and that means that you're going to want to be playing a melee Bard in order to take advantage of that and bards can play melee very effectively if they're going College of Valor College of swords so I think if you're multiclassing with a monk and you're really planning on using your key for Flurry of Blows which is I think what most monks will do as they mentioned probably going to go College of Swords or College of Bor and bars aren't really going to take a lot of advantage of like unarmored defense they're probably not going to have high wisdom with this build it doesn't make a lot of sense for them so I think they would predominantly focus on Charisma still and then just kind of avoid wisdom so if you go 11 bar one monk you gain some key you gain Flurry of Blows you gain unarmored defense which you're not really going to use because you probably won't have a lot of wisdom and you'll gain martial arts which allows you to use dexterity for a lot of weapons you wouldn't normally which can be great and it also gives you an unarmed attack you can use as a bonus action so you you know if you have your extra attack with colge of Valor swords you'll be able to attack twice and then either use Flurry of Blows or that unarmed attack which is nice you do lose a feat for gaining that but I think it's probably a good trade if you're planning on playing a melee bar at 10 bar two monk you gain an extra key you gain unarmored movement you gain step of the wind and patient defense but you lose a level six spell and slot and I think if you're playing a monk Bard you're probably going to take like at least two levels to get some more key hey regenerates on short rest uh which is really nice for a Bard because bards gain their B inspiration on short rest as well probably want at least one more key here so losing those that level six spell and Slot probably worth it to pick up step of the win impatient defense both of those are very good at nine bar three monk you gain one key deflect missiles increased unarmed damage and among subass but you lose magical Secrets improved bartic inspiration expertise and two skills and can you gain a lot here but you also lose a lot here and this is a a big break point where like you're really you know losing a lot of what Bard is going to gain in order to pick up some you know good monk stuff here and I think probably if you're going to go primarily Bard monk I would you know either go 111 10 and two or go further into Bard monk at eight B for monk you gain another key you gain slow fall and you gain a feat but you lose bar level five spells and Slots again I don't think I would stop here I think I would keep going into a monk if you plan on going that route or stop way earlier and seven barred five monk you gain one key you gain extra attack and stunning strike and you lose a feet again if you're playing college of Swords or College of Valor this extra attack doesn't stack so it's way less of a good pairing than if you went College of lore this point so I think if you're going to go Seven bar five monk you'd be better off going College of lore than either of those other two unless you want some of the proficiencies from College of Valor but I think college of lore is still a better you know way to go and then it's six bar six monk you gain another key improved unarmored movement key owered strikes which helps you come overcome resistances you gain monk subass features and you lose level four bar spells and Slots I think this is really good in my opinion I would either go 11 and one 10 and two or go all the way down and six and six College of lure in my opinion because there's a lot of good stuff you can gain from monk at level six just makes the most sense to me the ones in between there are just simply not as good so next we move to Bard Paladin multiclassing and this is a fantastic multiclassing combo this is kind of what I used in my first playthrough of bg3 and the reason it works so well is paladins and bards both use Charisma for their spellcasting ability modifier which is great and so there's a lot of synergy there and by taking just a couple levels of Paladin and having like a lot of levels in Bard you get yourself so many more spell slots that you can use for divine smites and just makes it for a really really deadly pairing so at 10 bar two Paladin which is the highest I think you would go in Bard cuz like really all the good stuff in Paladin's kind of like level two so I don't think you would go one level Paladin you definitely go to you're going to gain Layon hands Divine sense Channel oath Divine Smite uh level one spells for Paladin and a fighting style and you lose a feed and level six spell uh for B and this is a great trade in my opinion you get so much here for that level six spell and a feat that's just it's a no-brainer it's win-win and then at nine bar three Paladin you're going to gain Divine Health a subass feature and subclass spells from Paladin but you will lose magical Secrets andove B against expertise and two skills and a can trip don't think this is a good trade in my opinion I think you're better off going 10 and two and it's just a better break point at eight bar four Paladin you gain a lay on hands charge and a feet but you lose Bard level five spells I'm not sure this is such a good trade in my opinion because this is just not that great of stuff to pick up in exchange for what you're losing cuz those spells and spell slots are really important to the Paladin's Divine smites at Seven bar five Paladin you gain level two Paladin spells and you gain extra attack but you lose a feat if you're going College of lore this might make sense for you to pick up that extra attack this could be a really way good way to go but if you're going College of Valor or you're going College of Swords it doesn't make any sense because you already have extra attack that doesn't stack here and if you went seven and five and now you go six and six Bard and you gain Aura protection but you lose Bard level four spells I think this is probably better than seven and five if you're planning on going College of lore simply because or of protection is so strong and it's really really good and if you're going to go seven and five anyway you might as well go six and six to pick up AA of protection if you're going College of floor otherwise we probably want to stop at 10 and two next we come to ranger bar multiclassing and there isn't a ton of synergy between these two classes but there's not none Rangers give them some Marshall prowess that they can use they do use wisdom for their spellcasting ability modifier but Rangers don't have a ton of offensive spells really they have a lot of utility spells as well so that's not such a big deal you'd probably just prioritize Charisma anyway and just not worry about taking offensive spells from your Ranger and another nice thing with Ranger that was also true with Paladin is because they're half casters you're still going to gain spell slots from taking levels of Ranger and Paladin that synergize really well with bards so you're not just like losing spell slots every time you take a level of Ranger you're still gaining some which is nice so at 11 bar one Ranger you're going to gain a skill you'll gain favored enemy natural Explorer which should give you couple more skills or maybe a damage resistance in exchange for losing a feat this is situational really depends on whether you need those skills or not bards have lots of skills by Nature anyway so you may not need them and you might might be better off taking something else with your favorite enemy and natural Explorer just really depends on what you need a 10 bar two Ranger you gain a fighting style you gain Ranger level one spells but you lose level six spell uh from Bard and it really depends here like you know are you planning to play like a marshall Focus Bard are you planning to use the extra attack from like colge of Valor and caller of swords and you want that fighting sty maybe you take like archery and you're making like a ranged Bard something like that that fighting style could come in very very handy for you just really depends on how you're setting up if you're going more of a Caster you probably wouldn't stop here and then at nine bar three Ranger you gain a ranger subass and Ranger subclasses are front loaded so you gain a lot from that but you also lose magical Secrets prooved baric inspiration expertise and two skills and en can that's a lot to lose for a ranger subass so I'm not sure I would stop here but Rangers really don't gain too much more after this like if you're going to dip into Ranger 3 is a really good point five is also really good for extra attack but if you have extra attack from College of swords and Valor already anyway you don't really need to go five Ranger so it's kind of tough I think this one could be a good spot for ranger bar depending on you know how your build is set up at eight bar four Ranger you gain a feat but you lose bar level five spells and this really depends on whether you need that that feet or the B five spells could go either way at Seven bar five Ranger as I mentioned you gain extra attack you also gain access to Ranger level two spells and you lose a feat in order to do this this is probably a good trade most of the time just really depends on whether you need that feat and then at six bar six Ranger you gain favored enemy and natural Explorer once again but you lose level four bars spells and I don't think this is a great trade in my opinion favorite enemy and natural Explorer is just not that strong and frankly you should be picking the ones you really need from one level of Ranger anyway so I would suggest going Seven bar five Ranger if you're going College of lore to get that extra attack or if you're going College of Valor of Swords consider going like 111 10 and two or maybe even 9 and three if you don't mind losing out on some of those things to gain some of the great things that Ranger subclasses have at level three and also know that you probably won't be playing Beast Master when multiclassing these two things cuz Beast Master really needs to take levels in Beast Master so you're talking about taking hunter or you're talking about taking Gloom stalk here next we come to Rogue Bard and there's some decent Synergy here I wouldn't say there's like a whole ton of it but there is some good Synergy Rogues have a focus on skills just like bards do so you can gain some more expertise if you want um sneak attack can come in handy depending on how you're playing your Bard it's not exactly the greatest thing for a Bard but it's not the worst either um some of the Bard sub or Rogue subclasses are really strong giving you an extra bonus action that can tie really well with Bard's Bic inspiration since that's a bonus action so there is some decent Synergy here and also keep in mind that if you take Arcane trickster you're also going to gain spell slots that can then stack together with the BS so you would have more spell slots than if you went one of the other subclasses or maybe some other classes so at 11 bar one Rogue you gain expertise and two skills you gain a skill and you gain 1d6 sneak attack and exchange for losing a feat this really depends on whether you need that feat or picking up some extra TSE and some more skills and some sneak attack damage is good CS tend to have lots of skills anyway so you probably won't need that just for that I'd probably recommend going further into Rogue if you want a multiclass with Rogue at 10 bar two Rogue you gain cunning action but you lose a level six spell and slot and again this is really situational action is really strong being able to Dash or disengage or hide as a bonus action can be huge and that really frees you up to do something else with your action so I think this is probably if you're going to go Bard Rogue you probably want to go at least 102 probably even further at nine bar and three Rogue you gain a rogue subass you gain increased sneak attack damage to 2d6 but you lose magical Secrets improved bartic inspiration expertise and two skills and en canant trip that expertise is going to be made up by the expertise of Rogue level one so that's not such a huge deal here but losing the improved btic inspiration magical Secrets can be kind of tough but Rogue subclasses are front loaded you know Thief gaining its bonus action here assassin being able to you know lead off outside of combat still gain its bonus action and action back back are really good um so there are some really you know there is a case to be made for 9 and three in my opinion with nine bar and three R and I think it's probably a bit better than 10 and two at eight Bard and four Rogue you gain a third feet but you lose Bard level five spells and you know if you're going to go Rogue uh Bard you're probably going to go some sort of decent hybrid anyway so this is probably good you'll probably need the feat if you're going rogue B so I think this is probably a good trade more often than not at Seven bar five Rog you gain uncanny Dodge and more sneak attack damage going to 3d6 in exchange for losing a feat you'd have to have a pretty well put together build to justify this in my opinion otherwise I think eight Bard and four Rogue is better and at six Bard six Rogue you're going to gain expertise in two skills but you'll lose Bard level four spells I don't think that's a good trade in my opinion so I think I would either go seven and five for that extra sneak attack damage or I'd go eight and four for that feet depending on what I needed more but I wouldn't go further than that either that or I would just dip like a couple levels in Rogue like go 10 bar two Rogue for instance next we move to sorcerer bar multiclassing and there's some great Synergy between these two classes because they both use Charisma for their spell casting and because their spell slots stack together you're still going to be able to upcast anything um using those spell slots and effectively because you have Charisma whether it's offense or defensive it doesn't matter it's going to be strong either way now the one caveat here is that Sorcerers gain sorcery points the more levels and sorcerer they gain and that's really one of the best features of their class so if you don't take at least a few levels in sorcerer you're really going to miss out on not only their metam magic but a lot of those what you can do with those sorcery points to affect that metam magic and that kind of makes it not as good as if you take like a lot of levels of sorcerer in order to be able to use those sorcery points effectively so at 10 bar two sorcerer which is the highest Bard I think you would go here you're going to gain a sorcerer subass feature you'll gain sorcerer level one spells you'll gain sorcery points and you'll gain metam magic you're not going to want to miss out on those sorcery points and metam Magic by going one sorcerer so you definitely want to go at least two two sorcer if you're going here but you will lose a feat and level six spells from Bard in order to gain that now at nine Bard three sorcer you gain level two spells from Sorcerer And you gain another metam magic option you gain another sorcery point but you lose magical Secrets improved bar insiration expertise and two skills and a canr that's a rough tradeit I mean the extra metam magic for Quicken spell is good the extra sorcery point is good but you lose a lot here so I think you're going to go Bard sorcerer you should go deeper at eight bar four sorcerer you gain another sorcery point a th so you'd have three again and you gain can trip but you lose bar level five spells and I think that's a good trade here um I think if you're going to go B sorcerer you want to go at least eight and four and then at Seven bar five sorcerer you gain level three spells in Sorcerer And there's some deadly Spells at this level of Sorcerer And you gain another sorcery point but you lose a feed I think this is probably even better than eight and four in my opinion and if you go six bar six sorcer you gain another sorcery Point giving you six which means you could quick and spell twice which is great and you gain a sorcerer subass feature but you will lose Bard level four spells I still think this is probably the best point if you're going to go Bard sorcerer particularly because if you're going like College of Valor College of Swords you still have access to extra attack so you could have extra attack you could have tons of spell slots you could upcast all of your level three B and sorcerer spells and you could use metam magic and like Quicken them or you know any other metam magic you chose on them a number of times before needing rest so there's some really good Synergy at six and six I think if I was going to go B sorcerer I think it would be at that point exactly so then we move to Bar Warlock multiclassing and this is another strong pairing in my opinion because warlocks also use Charisma for their spell casting and if you go packed to the blade they can gain a third attack if you went College of Valor or College of swords in regular versions of the game in honor mode that doesn't work so it's not as uh potent in honor mode as it would be like in regular versions of the game no matter what difficulty you're on but there is a lot of synergy there because of that and you know Elder blast is just a nice can trip that you can use that's based off your charisma that's very very deadly so picking that up on your Bard can be really really strong as well so at 10 bar two warlock which is the highest I think you go on Bard here because warlocks gain a lot at level two I don't think you would go one level of warlock doesn't seem like it would make a lot of sense to me you would gain a subass feature from your warlock depending on which level you'd gain two level one spell slots and have access to level one spells for warlock hacked magic spell slots and you would gain two Elin vocations you would lose a feat and level six spells or level six spell and a spell slot and I think that's probably a wash in my opinion like I don't think you're gonna you're going to lose some really strong stuff here in order to pick up some like early game warlock stuff I would probably go deeper into warlock I don't think I would stop here at nine bar three warlock your pack magic uh slots upgrade to level two and you gain access to level two warlock spells which is nice and you gain aack Boon which allows you to if you want make it so your melee attacks uh operate with Charisma which means you can really stack Charisma with this build and still melee effectively but you do do lose magical Secrets proved bartic inspiration expertise into skills and canr so you lose a lot to pick that up and I think I would go further into warlock I don't think I would stop here just because that's a lot to lose at eight bar for warlock you gain a can trip and a feat but you lose B level five spells and Slots this is kind of a wash in my opinion depending on what you pick up but you're definitely going to probably want to go at least seven bar five warlock in my opinion because here your packed magic spell slots go up to level three you gain another Elder chin vocation and you gain de pack allowing you to use pack of the blade to give you if you went you know College of Valor or College of Swords you could have three attacks in combat if you're playing in the regular versions of the game that's really strong so I think if you're playing Bard warlock at least on the regular versions of the game definitely want to go at least seven and five all that you lose here as a feat in order to do that and then at six bar six warlock you gain a warlock subass feature but you lose level four bar spells and Slots I don't think this is a good trade most warlock subclass features at level six are not that great some like they can be but they're not generally and I think those level four spells and spell slots would be better for you so I don't recommend going six and six and I think seven and five is where I would go if I was playing Bard Warlock and then we come to wizard Bard multiclassing and at first glance there doesn't seem like a lot of synergy here because Wizards use intelligence for their spells while bards use Charisma but there is a nice thing about Wizards in that they can learn spells from Scrolls so because the spell slots from Bard and wizard combin they will still have a lot of highle spell slots like level four level five Etc spell slots and even though Wizards won't be able to pick those level spells because they wouldn't have enough levels they can still learn those from Scrolls and still have access to those spells so you kind of get the best of both worlds when multiclassing with a wizard so at 10 bar two wizard you're going to gain a wizard subclass feature and I think I wouldn't go lower than two wizard if I was going to go with bar just because that subass feature can be really strong on Wizard you'll gain level one spells for Wizard and obviously you'll be able to learn Scrolls here uh so you'll have access to any level wizard spell you can learn basically um at at this point if you're 10 and two but you would lose a feat and a level six spell from Barn this is a great trade in my opinion absolutely worth just going 10- two you also gain an Arcane recovery charge uh which allows you to replenish a level one spell slot and then at nine Bars free wizard you gain access to level two wizard spells naturally not from Scrolls you gain an Arcane recovery charge but you lose magical Secrets improved Artic inspiration expertise into two skills and a cantrip I don't think it's worth it in my opinion because you can already gain access to those wizard spells via Scrolls like you're losing a lot to just you know basically be able to select a spell and gain an AR cocaine recovery charge an eight bar four wizard you gain a can trip and feat but you lose bar level five spells don't think this is worth it in my opinion um you shouldn't have problems with Feats with this build you know the main problem that you're going to have is that you're going to have to split your attributes between intelligence or Charisma or pick one I think if you're going this that you would probably focus on intelligence for offensive spells with wizard and then just pick support spells with Bard but you could go the other way way around and go like Charisma and you know just pick support spells with wizard but I don't think you're going to do that and then at Seven bar five wizard you gain access to wizard level three spells naturally not from Scrolls and an Arcane recovery charge in exchange for losing a feet again I don't think that's worth it you could have the feet and the Spells anyway from Scrolls just for losing an Arcane recovery charge that's better and then at six bar six wizard you would gain a wizard subclass feature in exchange for losing level four bar spells this could be good depending on what you gain um from you know your subass feature but essentially why not have access to highle Bar spells and highle wizard spells I think 10 and two is the best spot for this so that wraps up our Bard multiclass and guide I hope you guys found that helpful I think we're about halfway through the classes at this point we have some more to go we'll be doing those over the next few weeks mixing with more El ring content if you guys have questions or other tips that I didn't mention make sure to mention them in the comments below [Music] [Music] w
