The Door of Expansion - Bishop T.D. Jakes [March 10, 2019]

I want you to get your Bibles I'm gonna go right into the Word of God will receive the offering at the end of the service we're gonna go right into the Word of God we're going into the book of Acts chapter 10 I got you we're gonna reverse five and then verse 24 down through verse 29 of the book of Acts and you have its Amen and now send men to Joppa and call for one Simon whose surname is Peter and the morrow after they entered into Caesarea and Cornelius waited for them and had called together his kinsmen and his near friends and as Peter was coming in Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him but Peter took him up saying stand up I myself also am a man and as he walked with him and as he talked with them he went in and found many that were come together and he said unto them he know how that it is unlawful it is an unlawful thing for another for a man that is a Jew to keep company or come unto one of another nation but God have showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean therefore came I unto you without gain saying as soon as I was sit for I asked therefore what intent ye have sent for me come back to verse 25 because I'm really gonna focus there and then I'm going everywhere but I'm gonna start at verse 25 and maybe even verse 26 and as Peter was coming in as Peter was coming in as Peter was coming in Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet of washing him but Peter took him up saying stand up I myself also am but a man I want to use a subject this morning the door of expansion the door of expansion I'm going to say that again the door of expansion get it in your head get it in your heart get it in your mind get it in your spirit get it in your life you're coming to a door [Music] you're coming to a door of expansion a stretching place a door of expansion let's pray spirit of the Living God fall afresh on us today we come here Lord empty before you saying fill us we come thirsty that we might drink we come hungry that we might eat we come ignorant that we might learn we come open that we might be filled we we come here available that we might experience we are not just sitting in the building we are not just here with our mind somewhere else we are present and accounted for we come because we respect you and we honor you and we want to hear from you we come because we esteem your word more than our necessary food we come because we know how wicked we are left without you we come because we know how wicked our generation is around us we come because we have enemies that seek to destroy us we come because we have a devil to fight we come because we want to shield around our families we come because we lack wisdom without you we come because we are fools without you we come because your direction is better than our own open our hearts and open our spirits that we might be filled with the Word of God thank you for what you're about to do in this place in the name of Jesus we pray somebody shout amen you may be seated in the presence of the Lord on your way down I'm looking somebody say hi [Applause] hi as about his country as you can have [Applause] especially if you put a little Texas twang to it hi [Applause] the book of Acts all by itself is quite complicated really it is it is an expression of a man first attempt to carry out the Mandate of God without the physical presence of God there to steer it it is it is the trial flight of these new apostles as they step into leadership and more importantly understanding what the leader has spoken there is a great gulf between what the leader has spoken and what the student understands I have learned as a pastor that just because you teach something one time doesn't mean people got it I have learned in the process of teaching on Sunday morning that that there are people who do not hear what you said then there are people who hear what they want you to have said I'm amazed I'm so glad that I live in a generation of social media because sometimes they write what they got out of the message and I can tell that I didn't say that you know but they you know the Lord spoke right through you and told me to leave my husband I didn't say a word about your husband I don't even know your husband don't use me as the fall guy if you're gonna leave just leave don't blame the bishop people don't really really get it all at once and so the Apostles are now grappling to see how they have successfully retained an adequate understanding of the Word of God because you cannot teach what you do not understand you cannot teach what you do not understand and and and this this book is quite quite interesting or if they have they are now up under the administration of the Holy Spirit the Christ that was with them is now in them and now the voice of surrounded them now speech from the inside and the problem with the voice has speaks from the inside is that it is not the only voice that speaks when God speaks within you there you have to filter because there are other voices and speak inside of you your past your history your religious tradition your own opinion your own ideology and it is easy to confuse the voice of God with your own opinion and so the disciples are trying to learn how to differentiate what is God and what is me what is God and what is my teaching what is God and what is my tradition what is God and whatever of my personal proclivities what is God and what is religion and understanding the difference between those voices is a process to which big proper with all of their lives and they disagree amongst themselves and the disagreement becomes intense and exciting I'm exhilarated to know that they are fought amongst themselves that gives me some sense of comfort to know that because I know that preachers today are still debating texts and it's good to know that even those who heard Jesus directly heard different ideas and grumbled to understand what he said and I understand that because he said my thoughts are above your thoughts and my ways are above your ways as high as the heaven he is above the earth so are my thoughts above your thoughts if he were easily understood if he were easily diagnosed he would not be God if he could be explained he would not be God because anything that can be explained to be managed God can never be explained stop trying to explain God to people stop arguing at work trying to explain God this is this thing about God has not received through intellectualism God cannot be explained he must be experienced he must be revealed he must be revealed walked out in your life and in your circumstances and little by little he wings us from the elementary fundamental ideologies that started us on our way and we graduate from faith to faith and from glory to glory in our understanding if we are not afraid to let go of what we once held that's true addition was all that was true until they taught me multiplication and multiplication was all that was true until they brought up algebra and algebra was all that was true until they introduced me to trigonometry and every round got higher and higher and higher and in order to embrace the next principle I had to be willing to move beyond the one that I was taught before the moving beyond is so hard it is so hard to move beyond when we come to the tenth chapter of the book of Acts after the explosion in the chapter 2 proceeding in chapter 2 we have the invasion the inauguration I should say not invasion the inauguration of the Holy Spirit as it fell on the day of Pentecost inaugurating the dispensation of the Holy Spirit reigning over this era of the church age and the regalia is so powerful that it comes with wind and sound and tongues as of Poland fire as the Holy Spirit sits upon the throne of authority and takes over his residence over the early church it is so powerful that the men who experienced not explained experience God were accused of being drunk drunk up under the power of God intoxicated so drunk and so rowdy and so noisy that it disrupted a city and people who were doing business stopped doing business and came to see what wine these men were drinking it was powerful because behind that we have demonstrations of the Holy Spirit healing and delivering and setting people free delivering them from all of their conditions we have the lay man at the gate called beautiful when Peter and John come up at the hour of prayer and they by the Bible says they said look on us and the man was healed and leaped up on feet that didn't work before and started dancing and leaping and praising God their power was so strong that their shadows were falling on people and they were being healed but it is possible to have more power or Talent did you do understanding sometimes your gift or your talent or your anointing will take you into places that your head is before I should have to think that some of the opportunities I had early in my ministry my ministry had brought me into places that my experience was not prepared for and I was in that in my mind as I get older I'd like to do a do-over because now I understand more expressly what is expected of me than I did at the time in the moment up under the stress of having an opportunity for which I was not ready to handle I gave what I could but not what I should can I get a witness somewhere now God is dealing with their minds and dealing with their spirits and and I am fascinated because the tif chapter is I have never seen a chapter in the Bible where it is so apparent that God is weaving lives together that he is preparing simultaneously two different men from two different worlds from two different cultures from two different ideologies one without the knowledge of the other that he weaves their experience together that by the time they collide something happens it is here that we understand the Providence of God that God is not just getting you ready for it God is getting it ready for you it is here that we appreciate that while Abraham was walking up one side of the hill with his son Isaac that the RAM was walking up the other side of the hill so that the RAM would be there by the time that the son got there so that Abraham would not slay his son God said Behold a ram tied in the thicket they must have been climbing at the same time without each other's awareness and it makes me wonder what God's got coming up the hill for you sometimes you're so engrossed with the journey of what you're going through in the rocks and the ridges and the heels of the valleys you have to climb you are not cognizant of the fact that God's got a blessing coming up the same side the other side of the mountain coming up to meet you that when God orchestrates our affairs it's not just you that he's moving in situations and circumstances and other people and sometimes it's not the problem whether you are ready or not the problem is are they ready or not and God has to get them ready so that when we're ready we all get to the same blaze at the same time and such is the case in the doorway of Cornelius house it all collides in the door it all collides in the door Cornelius this Italian satirists interior who is a head of a band of soldiers called the Italian man Cornelius who is a devout and spiritual man Cornelius who is a generous man who has given alms all of his life and a man of prayer and concentration a man of discipline and a man of order but is a Gentile man Cornelius is a man that God has noticed and touched and moved in and out of his life even though technically he was without covenant not of the Commonwealth of Israel not one of the sons of Abraham not one that you would traditionally think of as being a believer as such and yet he has had an experience with God that has warmed the commendations of God it must be these type of people that Jesus was speaking of when he said other sheep have eyes who are not of this fold them also must I bring I want to point that out to you because traditional Orthodox Judaism would have considered Cornelius a dog a dog is a biblical name for somebody who is not of covenant it would not have considered him eligible to receive the kind of blessing or have the depth of relationship that he did it makes me wonder if there are some people that we have maxed out that God has x10 and in it it makes me it makes me wonder because God says to Cornelius your prayers have gone up before me as a memorial and I have watched your giving I have watched your generosity I have watched how you took care of others I have watched how you have given arms I have watched how your support it lets me know that God watches over your giving that could be a scary thought for somebody but just take a deep breath breathe in breathe out it's going to be okay that he maybe that's why Jesus set by the table and was watching their giving when the widow gave her might and Jesus knew and took attention of what they were giving he set by the offering table and watch them as a game he told Cornelius I seen your giving and I've heard your prayers and now I'm getting ready to do something awesome in your life he does this through a vision he shows him through a vision I'm getting ready to do something awesome in your life I'm getting ready to do something amazing in your life I'm getting ready to blow your mind I'm not gonna give you any details I'm not gonna go into much depth about it but I'm getting ready to blow your mind with what I'm about to do your life and God is big old ideas but he's short on details you meant said God is big on ideas but he's short of details and so he will give you an overview but he won't give you a detailed synopsis Oh glory to God because he wants you to walk by faith and not by sight and if he explained too much he wouldn't need faith and so God is not big on details he just says something amazing is about to happen and I I don't know why he's gotta be preaching there this morning except my sense if there are some people in this role that every time the enemy tried to kill and destroy you you held on if you had to hold on by a thread because he kept on believing that something amazing was about to happen in my life I can't explain it I don't know where it's coming from I don't know who it's coming through I don't want there to be here Tuesday or Friday right but something amazing is about to happen in my life and God's giving me an idea but I'm gonna have details [Applause] [Music] so I don't think I'll die today I think I'll fight death off today I don't think I'll quit today even though our arms are weary and my back is aching and my feet are tired I don't think I'll quit today because I'm taunted by tomorrow I think something is going to happen but I don't know exactly I don't know exactly what it is Cornelius invites all of his friends and all of his family to come over to his house after he comes out of this dream and sends his servants to Joppa and since I'm up through Caesarea and sends them to the coast to the Tanners house where Peter is lodging there in the tanners house Peter doesn't even have his own place to stay he's staying with Simon the Tanner you know Simon Simon whose house is down by the seaside Cornelius has now sent his servants notice Cornelius is wealthy enough to have servants powerful enough to have a hundred men up under him he now sends his servants go to Joplin fetch Peter the Lord said that he would be at Simon the Tanners house down by the seaside and bringing the here to me why I don't know what's going to happen I'm not sure all I know is said the Lord told me and now now on the other hand well the Lord was talking to Cornelius about what to do and who to sin for and how to sin for them and even knew his address if I was at home I would shout by myself because dr. James I get happy when I think that God knows my address he knows where I live in whose house upstanding he knows where to find me when other people don't know where to find me have you ever had people try to find you and they didn't know where you were at but God knows exactly where you're at you know Simon down the panner he's over in his house over by the seaside when God gets ready to get you he knows exactly where you're at and he knows how to reach down and sin for you and get your attention meanwhile back home at the ranch while God is appearing in a vision to Cornelius he is appearing to Peter in a dream Peter is hungry and they're fixing him something to eat Peter is angry and they're fixing him something to eat and he goes up on the rooftop and falls asleep and while he falls asleep he he he falls asleep hungry he's hungry and he falls asleep and while he's hungry and he fall asleep he dreams and like most people who fall asleep hungry he dreams about food what else would you dream about if you went to bed hungry you dream about food because he was hungry and while he was dreaming he saw articles coming down out of heaven all types of animals four-footed beasts of all types and descriptions these are beasts that that the Old Testament would have said were unclean they were coming down out of heaven and they were unclean and and and and when they came down of the voice spoke and said rise Peter slay and eat and he said no Lord I have never ever eaten any of these beasts which means I have been devoutly committed to my teaching all of my life I have never tasted it maybe he was vegan I'm not thrown off for nobody I'm not looking at nobody he had never eaten any of these meats and God says how dare you call what I have cleansed uncommon or unclean I'm still struck that the unclean beasts came down out of heaven [Applause] that something that looked wrong came from someplace right is still amazing to me something that was forbidden by law came down out of heaven and God said how dare you call what I have cleansed uncommon or unclean he did not deny that they were unclean animals because God cannot deny his own law when God says something is unclean it's unclean but if God said it was unclean and His Word made it unclean then his word can make it clean it is what God says it is yeah if it was a bitter kiss he says it's unclean it's unclean but if an axe he says it's clean that which was unclean is now clean and if you don't believe in that you don't believe in salvation and if you don't believe it that's you don't believe in Redemption and if you don't believe in that you don't believe in regeneration and if you don't believe in that you don't believe it you because you who were uncommon and unclean have been cleanse at the Word of God they have been sanctified by the word the word has liberated you but somebody still sees you by your old definition and we all have to live with people who see us by our old definition God always let somebody survive to bring up what you used to do to doubt the integrity of where you are now to question the legitimacy of your salvation your conversion your sincerity your marriage your life your tenacity there's always somebody who's reading old data about you no matter how much good you do there's always somebody who's reading old data on you Peter was reading old data and he had decided that the meats were unclean now God is using the meat to talk to him about men this text is not about food it's about bias it's about religious ideas it's it's about disagreements and hating people and ostracizing people because they do not fit your traditional understanding of who God is or what God does or what God would like or what God would have you know all you got to do is learn five scriptures and you become an expert on who God loves and who God has it and if you learn ten scriptures you get the keys to heaven so you can send people to hell that disagree with you because [Applause] it matter how it works at that's how people act like it works that now you get to say where I get to go whether I get to go to a place that you ain't got yet that they're always kind of that just kind of boggles my mind that you get to lock me out of some place that you have never been kind of confuses me [Applause] it's all the people who are tweeting hewn and and said getting on your sites and telling you you're going to hell and that you can't go to heaven remember they haven't got there yet either [Applause] you can't lock me out if you ain't in we can debate whatever you want to debate we can talk about whatever we want to talk about but we need to talk about it as men not as if you are God and I am man not on two different levels no we have to talk about it like men with mutual respect because if you don't humble yourself to have conversation rather than condemnation you lift yourself up as a god and after all do you really know what you're talking about do you really know I mean no I'm not talking about believe do you really know what you're talking about and God begins to deal with Peter and he he's getting Peter Remy because he's been talking to Cornelius and if he doesn't get Peter ready then when Cornelius sends his servants Peter would never go now let me stop you just a minute because in my mind Peter should be further than this Peter should be further than see see the reason Peter wouldn't normally go is because he would have to eat with the Gentiles and in my mind Peter should be further than this because because Jesus has demonstrated his power in the life of Gentiles before he has healed the Seraph remission woman healed her daughter anyway and acknowledge that he has not found so great of faith in all of Israel he has seen Jesus go outside the box and sit down by the well and wait for the woman from Samaria to come he has heard Jesus preach on the good samaritan redefining as i did last week who is your neighbor he was there on the day of pentecost when the bike with the Holy Ghost fell and God said you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and he plainly said ye shall be witnesses unto me in Judea Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth you would think that all of these classes would have led him to a deeper revelation of God the people don't change easy you wouldn't think that Peter would need a dream to confirm what he had heard Jesus say right out of his mouth but something that has been hammered into you deeply does not come out easily so for fear that Peter is not prepared for this opportunity for fears that some hidden implicit bias might be operating in his life that makes him reject a moment that would change the rest of his life for fear that Peter would miss this door in his life for fear that Peter would walk away from what was meant to be a life-changing experience in his life for fear that Peter would be hungry for something and yet be so biased that he would refuse to eat that's why I took the time to emphasize that he was hungry sometimes we were hungry for something and when God sends that we reject it because our hunger is not even enough to make us think beyond our tradition hunger is one of the strongest cravings in the human body but even that was not enough to overcome bias by the time Cornelius servants get down to Simon the Tanners house and go up to Joppa and come down by the sea siding and say you have been invited to come to Cornelius house the only thing that makes him go to Cornelius house is that he has had a dream that a door is about to open I told them but only five people got it the only thing that made him take the risk and goal is that he has had a dream that a door is about to open I think about a hundred of them got it the only thing that made him take the risk and go where he had never gone before is that he had had a dream that a door is about to open yeah I got a big crowd from over there somebody over there has a dream that a door is about to open you don't have any details but you know a door is about toes but you don't know wheels but you know a door is about the head you don't know what this believes itself sounds or the east side but the door is about to open you don't know what this comes to this job or that job to a friend or an enemy to a friend or an enemy but you know that a door is about to open because God doesn't always use your friends to bless you sometimes God uses something that you would reject what do you do when God puts your blessing in a house whose door you would never go in what do you do when God sends your healing in a church that you said you'd never come to what do you do when God has the answer to the problem in your marriage but you don't like that preacher you don't agree with that theology you don't embrace that doctrine and you don't embrace him that dude and yet God would put your breakthrough behind what you might receive as enemy lines if he didn't ever do that you would never be stretched when God gets ready to stretch you he puts your blessings in places that challenges your tradition when God gets ready to bless you he puts your blessings in places that challenge your comfort zone when God gets ready to bless you he takes you out of your element and puts your blessings in a place of discomfort because God wants to stretch you the way you think the way you function the way you do the way you move have you ever had god strats you [Applause] now Peter is going down to Cornelius house and they're coming down from Joppa down to Cornelius house to have an encounter with God and Cornelius has invited all of its friends and his family to something he's not really sure what he's invited him to but he's so excited that the house is full of people and then he hears that knock at the door what drew me to the text in the first place is not the meat or the clean and unclean and it's not the Italian soldiers it's none of that that drew me to the text in the first place what drew me to the text in the first place what's the door yeah I was reading the text and I got stuck at the door and I asked myself what what is a door what is it door the word door is not used it just says that that Peter entered in but I have an assistant know that if you enter in you had to come in through the door because doors are how you get in yeah for anything I want to get into I have to find them yeah if I don't find the door I'll never get in and when I think about a door I think about a wood frame and a doorknob and a handle and shutting my turn and I open it and I come in and I walked in the door and that's how my mind pitches the door until I remember that Jesus said [Applause] and so suddenly I begin to realize that my understanding of a door is limited to my past experiences that I see doors as wood and brass handles but God sees doors as access to new dimensions because when Jesus says I am the door he is me the wood nor handle he is a place of access to the next dimension and for everything you're trying to get into there is a there is a door and I want to warn you that all doors are not made awarded all doors don't have handles but all doors do access something that you were locked out from before and somebody in this room the Lord said you're standing at a door you're standing at a door and I want you to be careful that you don't think that a door is always a door it might be a person it might be a job it might be an opportunity it might be a place but God said you're standing [Applause] Tessa might say this is a lure you don't understand it but this is the door this is a door this is a door this thing this thing that's going on in your life right now the Holy Spirit said this is the door this thing the thing that you're contemplating right now this thing that you're wrestling with and gruffly with the Holy Ghost said it is the door it is the door it is the door it may not have wood it may not have handles it may not have a locker the key but it is a door it is access it is a point of entry it is a door I have met people that were doors I have spoken places that were doors that one place opened up a door preachers don't wait on the big engagements because doors are not always being the room may be bigger than the door one time I spoke at a little place did hand but 40 people but one person heard me and brought me before thousands of people the room is always bigger than the door so don't save your best stuff for the big crowds use your best stuff even when the door is small just because the door is small doesn't mean that the room is small no matter how big the room is with Oscar you must come in at the door are y'all a two-yard and no never but them old soul but the whole song says you must come in at the door so what drew me to the text was the door and I struggled to understand the door because when when the wooden Cornelius opens this door and he sees Peter he prostrates himself on the floor he prostrates himself on the floor and warships Peter he is a man in and under Authority he is a man of power and influence you have to be a big guy to go low [Applause] only little guys stay puffed up because they don't feel safe enough to go low you have to be strong to go low you have to know who you are to be willing to get down low yo y'all hear what I'm saying what I'm saying is so good about to shop myself I learned a long time ago that people who are arrogant are always small they're small people dress up in the air get close to make themselves look big so that you'll be distracted from knowing that inside I am small you have to be big enough inside to get down low cuz you know if I got down I can get back up again Oh y'all hear what I'm saying oh I feel like getting down this morning Canadians went down will old Canadians went down low because he was high Cornelius went down low because humility is important at the door you will never get in the door if you do have humility is a prerequisite for access to the next dimension trust me when I tell you you'll never get in too high but if you get down low if we get down low if you get down low you can get in where how people get stuck at the door but low people can slide into the crevice but you can't get low unless you're big enough [Applause] big people do not see humility as a problem because they know who they are no matter what position they're in I've noticed when we have our Leadership Conference the smallest passengers demand the biggest seats the people with the least name cry for recognition people with big names try to be obscure they try to slip in and go unnoticed people with little names demand that they be called and recognized and sit up front and move me over here and sent me over there and they got four or five security people nobody trying to kill you they don't know you but-but-but when you're small Oh y'all can handle it when you're small you gotta like be when you're being you try to be small so what drove me to the text was the door the Cornelius barrels down at his old house this is my house I don't have to do but this is my you came to my house I sit for you by my power My servants brought you down the road my horses rode you down to here you walked up my sidewalk you came up to my door and now Cornelius Lea prostrate in his own house I told you he was big enough to go down low it's one thing for me to bow down in your house but it's another thing for me to bow down and man I'll make the payments up in here how this house up in here come on somebody and yet he thought it not robbery and he humbled himself and he got down on the floor and his theology is off he doesn't know much because he worships Peter he worships Peter and I thought to myself I wonder how uncomfortable Peter must have been to know that the guy who's on his face worshipping him is the guy that God had to talk you into coming to his house can you see the dichotomy there that the Cornelius thinks so much of him that he over inflates Peters importance he over inflates the importance of a guy who didn't even want to eat with him and so when Peter when I used to read it I thought Cornelius is just off and he's just crazy and Peter is just humble and he just he just tells him get up don't worship me I'm better man and and now when I read it I don't know whether he was whether Peter was humble or guilty because there's nothing like being treated nice by somebody you've been talking about the Bible says the goodness of God needed to repentance and that's why Jesus said do good to them that despitefully use you because when you do good to them you shame them you shame them because they'll find out that you're not what they thought you were see you mess up when you try to go toe-to-toe and be nasty - they're nasty be nice - they're nasty because when you're nice to them nasty you disgrace them here you supposed to be the man of God I'm supposed to be the dog and Here I am at my old house so what drove me to the text teller was I got stuck at the door I got stuck in the door and suddenly I realize that God is stretching both of them he is stretching both of them he is stretching Cornelius with an opportunity that is beyond his wildest imagination Cornelius house is the icon it is the app that opens up a new dimension of salvation to the Gentiles and app is what you click on the access a program that is bigger than what you touched Cornelius house is a app Peter had to touch to open up the Gentile nation [Applause] ah the human I'm saying to you do you hear what I'm saying and God is stretching Cornelius he said your arms have gone up before me your prize' have gone up before me I'm getting ready to take you into a new dimension a new expression of yourself can I teach this word Cornelius doesn't know that he is the door he thinks he's out of door [Music] [Applause] [Music] see some of you think that you are at a door and you don't recognize that you so so so so oh my god oh my god oh my god I'm not to get happy of my own creatures because suddenly I realize I got a go at Azure oh I will drive this home can I Drive home lay your hands on yourself say I am a door yeah yeah I am a door that's what Jesus said I am the door I want you to be like Jesus lay your hands on you said say I am a door it may be possible that the enemy may not be attacking you because you are you it may be possible that the enemy is attacking you because you are in door it may be possible that the enemy is trying to take you out because he's after what's behind you you are a door I don't know who I'm talking to but you had to be here this morning because you are a door that's why your childhood was so rough that's why your life has been so tough the enemy's been trying to stop you not just because you're at a door but because you are a door [Applause] being around you [Applause] somebody given 30 seconds of rising [Applause] [Applause] just three people say I am a door-to-door I am a door I am the door I am a point of entry I am access I am access to another dimension I am a drawer there's something behind me there's something that I opened up there's something that I bring that nobody brings like I bring when I bring it I am a door that's why the devil hates me because I am a door that's why the Lord called me because I am a door that's why people are drawn to me because I am a door that's why people are attracted to me because I am a door [Applause] yeah yeah yeah yeah you open up to something you open up to something you open up to something Cornelius does not know that he is a door he knows that he is a soldier but he didn't know that he's a door he knows he's a commander but he doesn't know that he's a door he knows that he's a giver but he doesn't know that he's a door he knows that he's a proud warrior but he doesn't know that he's a door he knows that he loves God but he doesn't know that he's a door sometimes you need to know you're a door why am I trying to get next to you cuz you adore you lead to something you open up something you got access to something knowing you gets me into something you are [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] tell Sam I said on the door [Applause] now I see why he was a giver cuz when you're ador you're a giver you get fulfilment by giving something cuz you're a dog when your adoring your humble because you know it ain't about you it's about the road it's about the rule not just the door it's about the room nobody lives on a door nobody eats on a door nobody raises their family on a door a door his access we got a door standing at the door we got Peter who preached the inaugural message on the day of Pentecost who is also a door Peter is a door because he unlocks the New Testament experience of the Holy Ghost that's what Jesus called him a rock Peters our rock and upon this rock I'll build my church the revelation you got is what I'm gonna build my church on and so Peter too is a door coming to a door to meet a door and they are all stuck at the door and this is a place of expansion when doors meet doors I will say that it all in the balcony window sweep doors you've been meeting locks but you're about to be the door when doors need doors things expand when doors be doors things expand God has a door coming to me the door standing in a door because somebody's about to be expanded if you're about to expand give him a praise right now [Applause] I want to go on and I keep I keep getting in this thing all of you doors need to meet doors all your doors need to meet doors doors deserve doors all of those opportunists are not doors [Applause] they're trying to get to you so they can get through you but when doors meet doors there will always be expansion I [Applause] had a meeting with a guy the other day I'd never met him before in my life but when I met him I felt like I'd always known him and he was telling me about his story he's he's that he's a billionaire now but he started out talking about eating little hominy grits and and and being raised with nothing and slop jars at outhouses and his story sounded like my story and and I liked him without trying and I told myself to slow down and not like it because I don't know him but but but I knew him without knowing anything because doors no doors doors no doors y'all don't know what I'm saying to you when a door leads the door you recognize it as a door is something philosophically connected between the two of you where you connect on a level without strain I knew I was sitting across the table from a door and we were staring at each other trying to figure out what we could do together what we could make together what we could build together what we couldn't become together because I knew I had made an appointment with the door and the door was looking at the door and we knew it was a point of expansion now this is a prophetic word this is not a sermon for your entertainment this is a word of direction for your edification this is a word from the Lord saying that he is bringing a door to your door and that you are a door coming to a door and you are coming to a place of expansion oh yes you're coming to a place of expansion this is a word of revelation from the Lord saying to you that you have to be willing to give up on your ass revelation to be stretched into a new direction this is a word from God preparing you that these will be unlikely doors they will not be obvious doors there will be doors that challenge the way you think and the way you perceive things they will be doors that do not meet within the landscape of your normal philosophical ideas this is a word from the Lord warning you not to walk in what he has said oh this is tough now this is tough now this is a word from the Lord say you cannot get there walking and what I have said you have to get there walking in the word that I am saying because if Peter continued to walk in the word that God had said he would have never come to Cornelius house because it was God that said don't eat with the Gentiles in Leviticus but now in Acts he has clean what was unclean and what was wrong is now right and you have to be broad enough to handle a God in transition and not just a God of tradition because doors are transition not tradition doors are transitioned and you cannot have transition if you hold on to your tradition and that's where God is stretching you because if he does not break your old normal you will miss this new opportunity my god I feel the Holy Ghost Kenna Kenna can I go deeper now the door has come to the door and they're standing at the door and Cornelius has prostrate himself on the floor and Peter who would have thought himself a seed of Abraham and Cornelius a dog in the face of Cornelius humility reaches down and raises him up and says I am but a man in other words we are the same the guy who wouldn't go to his house because they weren't the same now sees him answer saying because Cornelius has lowered himself to the point that Peter now humbles himself to say you don't have to warn me I am but a a man can I teach this and Peter says you know my tradition says that I should not be here the only reason I came is that God gave me a dream to come why have you sent for me in other words I have come to a place of uncertainty not less lenient on this everybody at this place this door is at a place of uncertainty peter has traveled all the way to get to a place of uncertainty help me Holy Ghost you have come from a place of once being sure of yourself help me Lord to a place of uncertainty the stress of being uncertainty it's weighing you down [Applause] because you are saying why am I here [Applause] what am i bringing do I have any value in this situation [Applause] the worst thing in the world for a leader to feel is uncertain both of these men are leaders but how can I do what I do when I don't know why I'm here and I don't know what I'm doing in a place of confusion and I'm trying to act like I've got it together because I don't mind worshipping and I don't mind wearing prostrate on the floor but it's hard for me to admit that I was have been confused because I have come to a stage listen listen I've come to a stage in my life that I'm not sure what's gonna happen next and Cornelius has brought all these people to his house but he's not sure why he invited them because he could not know what was about that and Peter has come all the way down from Joppa the teacher the inaugural preacher on the day of Pentecost comes to a door and says why am I here I want to talk to you about the feeling you have not been talking to anybody about but has you sitting on the side of the bed at night saying why am I here what is my value here I have come to a place of uncertainty and uncertainty is uncomfortable because I cannot for the life of me figure out what's gonna happen next I have been led to a place of confusion and I am not sure where I belong what I'm to do I'm to say right sure I dress sure I want sure I talk sure but when I take off all of this stuff and I lay down in the bed at night I whispered to my god I'm not sure [Applause] I don't know I used to know when I was 20 I thought I knew I knew you know I knew everything I knew now at the time that I'm older and should know the most I know the lease and no wonder Cornelius Lee prostate on the floor because it is in the doors of uncertainty that we develop humility oh my god it is it is see when you think you know everything you're arrogant when you come to the point that you're willing to admit I'll roll a fool somebody said I don't know I'm here but I don't know I came but I don't know I invited you but I don't know I got company but I don't know I got witnesses but I don't know I opened the door but I don't know I took the job but I don't know I got married but I don't know about the house but I don't I came to you because of what you whispered in your bed God answered in my head I came to you who am i preaching to what would you would you stop what you're doing I couldn't sleep last night you messing up my wrist you got me getting up every hour and a half walking the floor what are you saying to God would you please let me go to bed would you please let me get some rest because whoever this is this this this message is right at your house it's it's right up in your face because you just not sure you're not sure the people around you you're not sure the circumstances around you you're not sure yourself you're not sure how you feel you're not sure where you're going you're not sure what you gonna do you just there and whatever you said to God [Applause] [Music] whatever you tried to God wouldn't let me risk the cannibal Shia the Lord said you had a door of expansion just a man telling you had a door of expansion whatever you're about to expand is confusing whenever you out to expand its uncertainty whatever you about to expand you're not sure of yourself my God my God my God that's what God said don't put new wine in old skins because whatever you're about to expand old skins like the elasticity to be able to change and go with the flow and God said you got to get rid of your old stuff you all have it you're all attitude you won't be able to stand one cuz you're at a door of expansion I gotta quit Oh Oh touch everybody you can read to say something's about to happen [Applause] anyway you can reach anywhere and tell them all up in the back and everywhere all in the crotch stand anywhere something's about to happen somethings about to happen something is about to happen something's about to happen something's about up something's about to happen something about soccer the only thing I know for sure the only thing I know for sure is something's about to happen the only thing I'm signal is something's about to happen I can't even explain it but something's about to happen a year [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Cornelius why did you send to me I don't know I had a dream told me to invite you why did you come I don't know I had a vision and told me to obey guests why are you here we don't know Cornelius invited us I said come over to his house everybody in the house and nobody knows what's gonna happen here here's my tipping point no I got to can I give you - can I give it to you first of all before I give you the one I was about to give you let me give you this one let me let me let me tell you how good it is to be in the room [Music] I may be confused but I'm in the wrong I may not have all the details but I'm in the room nothing happens if you're not in the room if you don't get in the room I'm not even talking to you I don't know who I'm preaching to but God said he put you in the room he put you in the environment he put you in the right place around the right people at the right time and something is about to happen and it cannot happen if you're not in the room if I'm talking to you paint gods are in the room you don't know what to do what do you do when you don't know what you're supposed to do what do you do when you don't know what's gonna happen [Music] you've been asking God what am I supposed to do I'm in a place of uncertainty I don't know what I'm supposed to do and that's what Peter was there however what I'm supposed to do okay could you say mmm I don't know what just wants to either I just invited you here and this is the first time watch this in the New Testament that this happens Peter just started doing what he does [Applause] when you are in a place of uncertainty [Applause] just do what you do and if you do what you do is shunned herbal course I wanna subdue me like this all of a sudden y'all should give me like this all of a sudden I can feel your spirit pulling at me don't get in a place of uncertainty and stop doing what you do because God brought you to that place to do what you do and the expansion is gonna curve expansion is going to accurse expansion is going to occur when you do what you do legend even tell them I'm dim red knew what I do whatever it is you do do what you do what happen is you just do what you do stop feeling sorry for yourself and do what you do not morning and groan it and just do what you do complain to your friends [Music] so watch it watch it I'm not on there but I feel the Holy Ghost and I feel a breakthrough coming for somebody I feel the spirit of release coming in the road I feel it answer to pray in the building right now God watching here to get direction the enemy and he wants you to be a church this morning but the devil is a liar the something is about to break [Applause] [Music] every other time either cloven tongues fell on people or somebody laid their hands on people and they got filled with the Holy Ghost but this time Peter just started talking cuz that's what he does and when you're in a place of uncertainty if you do what you do it's gonna happen all by itself so the Bible says while Peter yet spake these words the Holy Ghost fell [Applause] the other girl don't get it the Holy Ghost fell on him then heard the word no hands no oil no touchy no baptism they just fell out because Peter did what he did but his Cornelius hadn't done what he did Peter couldn't do what he needed Cornelius invited everybody over there and it just so happened that his everybody were all Gentiles [Applause] so even though they didn't understand what they were doing they were consistent in what they were doing and if you just do what you do I'm inviting you to certain I don't even know what it is what I want you to talk I'm invite you all want all y'all to come over all my friends and everybody all my cousins and Auntie big mama and Grandma come on over what we come in - I don't know but come on over come on over he's gonna be amazing come on over it's gonna be wonderful I don't know exactly what it's gonna be but it's gonna be good come on over so he was doing what he did Peter's friend there in the door and he just wants to talk it in the door while he's talking the Holy Ghost fell on all them that heard the word let me tell you who the holy ghost is falling on in here I love using here the word the Holy Ghost all of you that I listen you ain't got a word and let's go follow you no way but I love you then hear the way [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the Bible said the Holy Ghost fell then had the wine and all Peter did was do what he does and all you got to do in this season and do what you do do what you do just do Chateauguay shut up just you who just got a word from God pilots and boys we got a word for the world I know you feel uncertain I know you feel insecure I know it feels like it's not working but if you get right in the door and do what you do the Holy Ghost is gonna do the rest and the Bible says the Holy Ghost fell on all them that heard the word then Peter said well can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized who have the Holy Ghost as well as we he said well we might will baptize them because God has already baptized [Applause] one little less epilogue in act two they were baptized first and then filled in acts 10 [Applause] [Music] they were filled with the Holy Ghost and then baptized God said he's gonna do it out of horror it ain't even gonna make any sense to you it's not gonna be like what you experienced before he's gonna do his thing before you do your thing by the time Peter knew anything they already had the Holy Ghost God said he's gonna give you undeniable happiness they're gonna have to accept you [Applause]
