Untouched - Bishop T.D. Jakes [March 1, 2020]

[Music] people take their leaders are either born or made and I think they're neither they're a hybrid of both you can be born to be a leader but not be exposed to the kinds of people you need to be around to hone those skills there's a lot of times you don't know that something's in you until you're exposed to it when you get around and it could be one thing they said that hops should sticks with you I want to techniques and concepts that would help ordinary people to achieve what some have said is the unachievable this is my opportunity it's my way of inviting people to be in the room listening to conversations meet people who broke through glass ceilings women who shattered ceilings and build empires which found models you only want people to come to the Leadership Summit who have that thing down that side of them and trying to figure out how do i enhance it and how do I take it to the next level the International Leadership Summit is the place to be [Music] [Music] and God has been doing some mighty things and I want to I want to share some things that the Lord put in my spirit and really put in my heart and I want to be able to express the the multiplicity of all of the implications that go along with the text before it's it's not an unusual text is not a new text but indulge me in my father as we reinvestigate Ezekiel chapter 16 yeah yeah yeah we want we want to go into these Ezekiel chapter 16 verse 3 through 6 amen when you have it you can find it stand easy kill easy kie l know some of the things aren't real anointed but the case fell some of y'all just feel real good but you're not that annoying it so we need each other we're picking it up just in the middle but we haven't lost a whole lot and saved us safe the Lord this is God talking to the Ezekiel and this is him telling you what to say and God is telling him exactly what to say I can't tell you how many times I have asked the Lord tell me what to say I could preach right there I don't have time to do it but tell me what to say cuz if I say the wrong thing I'm gonna mess up everything tell me what to say if you don't have a muzzle on your mouth I'm not sure you're a Christian if you don't have something that nudges you sometimes it says don't say that anybody got that boys goes off in your head says don't say that cuz I got all these things that come to mind it's like a Rolodex and it says say this and say that it's all those different voices and so Ezekiel is speaking of under the dictates of the Holy Ghost and he says and say thus says the Lord God unto Jerusalem thy birth has not Nativity is of the land of Canaan thy father was an avid right and our mother I knew her she was a hittite and that's what our Nativity in the days I was warned our label was not cut neither was our washed in water to supper be died was not salted at all nor swaddled at all none I pitied thee to do any of these unto thee to have compassion upon me but thou was cast out in the open field to the loathing of that person in the day that that was born and when our past Bobby and saw these polluted in that old blood I said unto thee when I was in that blood yeah yeah I said unto thee when I was in thy blood live somebody shout how to do you we're gonna talk today there are some things that the Lord has put in my heart to share with you remain standing but I want to talk to you from the subject untouched touched untouched are you untouched you know this recent book came out on lovely which is one of my love languages is touch one of the words of affirmation one of us is touched and it are you who we got quiet untouched that's what we're gonna talk about today speed of the Living God farm-fresh of us today anoint this place Lord the morning dew drop this morning let it saturate us let it moist our hardness let it come into the fibers of our being in such a way that we are not dehydrated in our souls and pray in the name of Jesus that you would irrigate our thinking with your revelation behind every spirit that would seek to stop us from receiving the saturation of the fullness of the revelation that you would impart unto us today I thank you in advance for what you're going to do don't even need to see you do it - thank you I'll praise your credit your word is good with me I'll praise it now and you can do it later in Jesus name somebody shout a man you may be seated in the presence of God I have come to learn you know you continue to learn about yourself all of your life you never stop learning yourself and if you can't learn yourself you can't explain yourself and if you can't explain yourself you can't be understood one of the things that I have learned about myself is that words give me pictures so when I read I see movies if you call me on the phone and you tell me I'm washing dishes I see you washing dishes so don't tell me nothing you don't want me to see because my learning mechanism is tied in such a way that words give me pictures so when I look at this text it is it is not a very good picture it's not a very good picture the birthing of a baby they're still attached to its mother that is still in carrying the residue of afterbirth that has been cast out into the open field and hates itself that has not been salted nor wash nor swaddled it's not a not a good image what I think about him being in an open field there is an emotional sense of abandonment that is alarming and a baby everybody likes babies if you don't like babies you a mean person I mean either one I just want to go by and make faces at them and stuff like that you know but but to not to not care for me I will fight you over a baby I will fight you over a baby I don't even know if I see you mistreating a baby you got me to whether I will fight you right now over a baby the defenseless vulnerability the innocence the innocence of a newborn baby it's so precious is so unique we never see that again in life not in the dimension that a baby has it that kind of pure love and innocence is hard to find and recreate the rest of your life this should be a joyous occasion and then then when when when the text uses the term Nativity in in the time of that Nativity it becomes even more gross to me to think of it because when I think of Nativity I think of the birth of Christ Nativity comes from the Greek from the Latin word natal which means to be birth or to care for and so Nativity is the scene of your birth and this this is not a good entry this is not a good entry into the world sometimes we are born into situations that are beneath us yeah and we don't get to pick the circumstances that were born into or the people that birthed us or the people that raised us we know if we could pick them out it would be different fact if I could pick out everything everything would be different that's why you all you incredibly find people who walk around letting everybody know you're incredibly friendly job please stop cuz it's not like you picked out everything you just get what you got and you gotta make the best of it a man nativity should be an amazing thing even even when you think of our Lord you think of you you think of the magnitude of a loving mother in a barren place most of the Bible when it talks about women deals with Berenice and women who overcame bareness one woman cries out of the scriptures give me a child lest I died Hannah goes in the triple and cries like a drunken woman praying only for one thing not for gold often riches for a baby she wants a child she wants to give birth Eve wants to give birth Rachel wants to give her Sarah walks around all of her life the warning craving to have a child and only when she is an old woman and wrinkled knees and it ceased to be with her after the manner of life when she least expected it did God finally give her time but can you imagine what it would be like to be the child of a woman who waited that long the care and the love and the appreciation the protection and would go around this this this this stands in contradiction to everything that I know about children it is not a pretty sight it is not though it is not abuse that this child suffers from I know it the situation sounds abusive but if you think about it carefully is not a child suffering from abuse it was not beaten it was not assaulted it was not attacked this child suffers from neglect now being neglected is abusive in a way but but it is not assaulted it is just untouched and to be untouched is to be neglected and to be neglected is what has created neglect is the paintbrush that has painted this ugly image before us it is it is the finish artistry of ignoring me if you've ever felt ignored then you know what I'm talking about I never will forget my first year in college sink in psychology one of the terms had stayed with me the rest of my life was born out of psychology 101 it was a story about deprivation dwarfism you remember it deprivation dwarfism deprivation dwarfism was a test that was done on babies where certain babies all of them were fed you take 14 babies all of them are fed all of their biological needs are met seven of them are cuddled and touched and loved and seven of them just their basic needs to sustain life were given them over a period of time they begin to measure their functionality their cognitive responses how how much they grew physically and the babies who were touched were growing normally and the babies who were not touched were not growing they've been learned that the pituitary gland which secretes hormones that causes to the physical body to grow is stimulated by touch and I found it fascinating than just by not touching holding cuddling nursing a child stands his grow and so the the class was called deprivation dwarfism and it was called deprivation dwarfism because they were dwarfed because they were deprived dwarf because they would read dwarf never became what they could become never reached their potential because they were deprived dwarf denied the the hormones are not secreted because you're not touch touch has ramifications touch makes a difference it is no mistake that the Holy Spirit was conveyed by the laying on of hands it is no mistake that the Bible says we have not a high priest who cannot be touched by the feeling of our infirmities empted in all points like as we are yet without saying they talked about Jesus the one you just got through singing about he says you can touch me and and then he went through the cities and he touch you I mean a God who can touch that's why I don't serve idols I don't search statues III don't go and kneel in front of statues and go into trances but before God's that I had to carry into the room because I must confess to you I don't want a god I have to carry I want to God they came you see people bring their God and set it up in their locker room and have little prayers in front of their little God and all that God said no no no no no I want a God so big that he could pick me up and move me around and set me where I want to be touch is important but the truth of the matter is we live we live for the most part in a touchless society now I'm gonna date myself they built this for me so I walk all over the place a they knew I like to walk when I preach I like to walk when I preach because when I grew up preaching I had nobody to preach to so I would be walking in the woods preaching to myself and and I'm still walking in the woods preaching some things never leave you we live in a touchless society and I've never seen with all of the technology and all of the equipment that we have to keep us in touch we have never had more instrumentation and gadgets to keep us in touch than we have right now trust me we've never had it remember I can remember we're microwave ovens were new ID we have never had it from the earliest of my existence if now you have never been able to communicate with as many people as many ways as rapidly and as effectively as you can right now I don't know what to call you or text you I don't if I don't take her my son out of tween I might I might send you in but let me inbox you on facebook let me get you up on Instagram let me put you on Twitter are you LinkedIn on LinkedIn we got all kinds of ways to be LinkedIn to be connected to be touched to have friends to have followers we got all of this stuff and yet we have never had as much emotional dysfunction as we've had in the history of this world you got almost 7 billion people in your pocket right now and your phone available and to any clique facebooking companies like that has been filtrated most of the population and yet we are on untouched the population has increased exponentially when Jesus comes back he won't even recognize the world because the world has rolled sold numerically since his time that bad now we're right on the precipice of an eight billion B with a billion people on the planet and most of those people behind all of the address in their makeup and their clothes and their gallantry of their pageantry and their biceps and triceps and muscles and gyms and all beneath all of those muscles they're lonely they're untouched single people sick of being single try to lay in the bed by myself tired of coming in the door hear the door slam behind me nothing is moved not that it's changed nothing is out order I just can't wait to find my boys they running around taking applications are you Boas are you boy are you boys are you boy is it humor is [Applause] there untouched and then married people get married that they want to secretly slip over and tell the single people they get married won't get you keep looking straight ahead don't look to the left or the right this look look right over here I got you covered I got you covered act like I've not talked about y'all that y'all are the only couple in the room that's just madly crazy breathing all over each other and slobbering all over each other 24 hours a day but but the truth of the matter is you don't have to be single to be lonely you give me in a crowded room full of people crowded like this and still be untouched we live in a touchless society I remember I'm gonna date myself when I'm talking about this but I remember when you go into what we call department stores and you go into department stores and you go over you did air in on the low on the level of a street level of the department store and the men's department might be on the fifth floor you would go over to the elevator you'd hit the elevator and there'd be somebody sitting in there on a stool with buttons that when they push the buttons in you could hear the buttons go here and they say welcome to JC Penney's what floor would you like to go to and they'd take you up on the floor and and there were there were people there and you'd have a conversation on your way up you know how are you feeling now I'm feel pretty good how are you thanks for asking I'm doing pretty good people who were interactive they were conversational they were connected even in an elevator today when you get on an elevator there's absolutely nobody in there at all and if anybody gets on the elevator with you these are extremely intelligent people in a corporate office who all start looking up at the numbers like they have never seen numbers before waiting for the number of they're floored to come to avoid communicating with people who are so close on the elevator that you can smell their Cologne [Applause] so we're untouched I remember switchboard operated there you know when you got ready to make a call you had to talk to somebody on a switchboard you say hello my name is Mabel can I connect you like this yeah I was very young at the time just a baby but I remember switchboard operators with me you got ready to make a call you had a conversation with the person can you can I please have a conversation I called in some prescriptions last night and I was on the phone I thought could I please have a conversation with the person the machines that repeat that again I'm sorry we're having a problem I wanted to take my phone and just go for social punch one for social birth to forestry cuz I'm waiting I didn't hear you I'm talking to a computer I used to be able to talk to a person of real person that I could explain my situation to and have a conversation what happened to the people the elevator is empty the switchboard is closed the people are gone the jobs are gone that those women are all gone they're all unemployed and now all we got is selfies lots of pictures of yourself with nobody to take them we now have a name for loneliness selfie not only am i in the picture by myself I had to take the picture of myself and then I post the picture of myself by myself then I took of myself and I wait on somebody to like it that I will never see or talk to or meet again but this is as close as I get to connectivity because we live in a touchless society technology has replaced stuff and the weird thing about that is technology is activated but touch in that I Ronnie the very thing that stops us from touching people says touch me we live in at Estes a touchless Society grocery store remember when it was real people so that if you didn't put your vegetables in a bag they had bags right there and they weighed it right there and they talk to you while they were doing it and ask you what kind of bag did you want your head real experiences then girls lost their job now and now now that there I am I stress out in the grocery store over whether I can successfully checkout with food that I need to eat that I have money to pay for and and this thing won't even have take money cuz money's gone out of style and there's nobody there to talk me through anything unless I am humble enough to admit that I can't do it in front of the people who are looking over my shoulder waiting on me to do it here comes somebody around the corner like I'm in the idiot to help me do what everybody else is doing and the Machine responds to touch we live in a touchless society we live in a touchless Church we have touched of the search some people choose big churches to avoid connection I just want to go to church on the one nobody in my business I don't want anybody asking me question I don't want to be on the auxilary I don't want to be in any committee I don't want to serve anywhere I don't want to know anybody I like the anonymity of being in a crowd of people that holds no accountability for me so that I can act like I'm in a group but I really don't want to participate in groups I go to big churches if I go to a small church they're gonna need me to do something I left my old church cuz they gave me too much to do I came to my new church so leave me alone I'm not singing in the choir I'm not getting on the praise then I like it allows your boy because I don't want it to be the crazy thing is when I look at the nativity scene this is described in Ezekiel 16 and compared to the nativity scene described in Matthew Mark and Luke the difference has started there's a mother and a father and now I admit it's not the ideal situation no Cushi environments no nice bears no no no bassinets no cribs no love what are you calling little things and twirl overtop of mobiles over their head they still do that yeah mobile nobody done it none of that cuz it was a little rough a meager means meager but it was love there and I was thinking about how Jesus was born in a very impoverished environment and yet the wise men brought him gold look at my Jesus born in an environment that makes him able to touch the homeless but gift it with gold that makes him able to save the rich and me the group can own him though both of them tried but he stands in between wealth and poverty born in a manger surrounded by love wrapped in swaddling clothes the Bible takes great care to tell us how Jesus was cared for laid in a manger rats in swaddling clothes and we beheld the wonder of his glory the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth the Bible goes to great lengths to tell us his daddy was fighting for him to have a place to stay and beneath the open skies and them and the sounds of lambs in the field the Lamb of God was born yes in a barn but not loveless and not touchless he was touched he who was touched is touchable that's a good place to the ten people they got that thank you because what I am secretly saying to you is that people who are not touched don't touch their normal is to not be touched and so when you take a person who needs to be touched and married them to a person who is not used to touching because they did not get touched and then we must examine the fact are we so busy doing things that suggest intimacy that we don't produce intimacy that we want the look of being touched without really the work of touching because touching is risky I was less Kelantan that my sister near my front everybody else was touching she and her crew was grabbing elbows they best friends and think each other got the coronavirus [Applause] I love you but I ain't touching you girl if you go out you go out by yourself to God be the glory and I'm I'm examining in my own mind when I look at this nativity scene that it shows up in Ezekiel 16 which God says is Israel I'm wondering if it's not also a description of churches today who we are good at getting people to the altar we are good at birthing them but we're not good at disciple them and so we've got lots of numbers but we've got lots of numbers and plenty of members but no disciples I wish I had as many disciples as I had members but the truth of the matter is we birth people but do we touch them do we really touch them or are we just having babies God said Israel you are like a nativity scene pushed out of a womb born into an environment and not touched it's a touchless society now it's quiet in here because this is personal because touch is personal he gets down to our core needs as an individual and I want to explain to you from a theological perspective just why we need to be touched in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth the earth was without form and void darkness covered the face of the deep and the Spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of all that had God said let there be light and there was like there was good in the evening in the morning was first thing and again on the second day God created every time that God said and it became whatever he said only to the sixth day did the same God start touching on the sixth day the God who has talked for five days now reaches down and touches the ground and start shaping the clay and he freezes into what he has touched and man became a living nefesh a living soul aware of himself because man was created by touch not a plant not a tree not an apple not an orange nothing else can say that not a fish not an elephant nothing else can say that not any other creature can say he was created by touch you will old did God get intimately involved with to the degree that said I'm going to shape whew and make you and blow into you I'm gonna breathe my breath into you and you're gonna breathe it back at me and that reciprocity is going to continue the rest of your life you will always need breath and you will always need [Applause] touch that's why when they get ready to to punish criminals murderers rapists assassins they don't beat them too much on camera where we can see know what they do is and put them in isolation because isolation is torture because there was no touch can I go deeper I want to give you six touch points that God speaks of in this text that are important for us to consider in understanding this whole dilemma this baby is in the nation of Israel is in the church is in the world is in of being on touch I want there are six different things we want to talk about there that naval wasn't cut is number one that's the first thing that God says about the baby the baby is still attached to the mother in a way that is no longer natural it is no longer natural for the baby to be dependent on what the mother eats in order to survive but the neighbor was not cut there's been no separation for there's been no development you are over dependent on the thing that birth you and I look at the church today that we have to preach you happy every Sunday [Applause] and I wonder when is the court going to be cut where you don't depend on me to do your Bible study pray for me pastor when are you going to be able to pray for yourself when is my message that will become a confirming word and not a revelatory word because you have your own devotion to God the problem is you or no one has cut you no one has cut your cord some of you don't see your Bible till Sunday there's nothing funny about that it is deplorable it is scary it is why conversions have ceased to be important to you because as long as you're attached to the cord the only reason you come is so you can eat when was the last time you fed somebody stay with me I'm I hope you understand whether your labor has been cut or not how many years have you been saying shout it out how many people have you won to Christ over those years one a year ever anybody if you have not personally witnessed and discipled and want somebody to the Christ and help them to develop into the child of God that they are supposed to be I wonder if your navel was it go if you are still driving up on the parking lot or call it on the fall or texted your friend told about is Bishop in town if you still do a u-turn because you heard I'm not preaching this morning the reason you left is your nasal has never been cut and if I don't feed you you cannot eat the umbilical cord is a blessing when you're in the womb but it's a curse when you get out you'll never learn how to use your mouth and how to eat for yourself and how to stand for yourself and how to have convictions that you will live and die for because is Bishop in town [Music] we're talking about the problem of staying in one state too long everything that God sends into your life to be a blessing becomes a curse if you stay too long if you become dependent upon it helps ceases to be help the job that we have is to help you to get up and grow I don't want my grown children to need me to feed them to survive I didn't mind it at all when he was babies I didn't mind changing your diaper I didn't mind giving you a bath I didn't mind burping you over my shoulder but at 72 you ought to be able to and there's something wrong if you never get off your mama's breast you look crazy 21 talk about especially on your mama can't believe he said that in church tell you pray for me pray for my knee prayer need prayer and he prayer is your navel cut this is a good message for a church it's a good message for marriage incident raised for message for staff people I know I want my wife to need me but I don't want her to be so handicapped that I can't leave the room I want a strong woman who can stand on her own two feet who can cover my back I can cover her back I don't need somebody I don't need a staff person that only functions when I'm around I just love the vision whatever mission beans I did wear Bishop leaves the robe loved me by being consistent you don't raise up people to still be attached [Applause] number two the second indictment is no one washed you you still look like what you've been through that afterbirth is something else shall and I'm telling you that after Murphy it's not pretty it's necessary and in the right place at the right time it's wonderful but if it stays too long it can be infectious and disastrous and steak when you allow what you came from to still cling to you the question arises no one watched you do you understand that that is part of the symbolism of water baptism to wash away where you came from we baptize you in water saying that the old man is gone and you rise walking in the newness of life so that means that your old temper is gone that your anger management issue is God that your domestic violence is God that your abusive nasty mouth is God we washed our if that's still hanging on to you you might be a church member but no one washed you the the radical thing about this Texas that on one hand it is so successful this mother has done what other one and prayed to do she has successfully had a baby that she doesn't care for anything you have you have to care for stop praying for stuff that you're not gonna care for if you get married you can't be selfish this is why the merchants are not working in a narcissistic society because everybody's in it for themselves me me me me me no it's not about you it's about us everybody wants to have a baby do you want to care for everybody wants to have a business do you want to care for them everybody wants to have a church do you want to care for them if you don't really want to care for it why did you have it maybe your request is ego driven and not purpose driven maybe you want to have the baby to prove to the other women that you're just as much woman as they are maybe you want to have the job so when you go to the family reunion you can tell them who you are maybe you only got the degree so you could feel important but the problem is now you need to grieve your skin don't feel important now you got the job and you still feel like nothing because no one wants you getting stuff on the outside then compared to getting stuff on the inside has anybody heard the words that are coming out of my mouth Jesus says the most radical thing he says you are clean through the word that I've spoken unto you he says the reason I preached to you is to wash you that little by little every time you hear a sermon it ought to take something off it on appeal something off it ought to clean something up it ought to make you see yourself it ought to make you govern your tongue it ought to make you feel convicted in some way jesus said my way of bathing you is to preach truth to you the baby is looking bad because my body washed him and when the only people you will allow in your life are the people who flatter you oh it's gonna be a quiet Sunday this subject oh it was a shout in the crying Sunday last Sunday it's a question the only people that you recognize - before you are people who flatter you the truth of the matter is you won't let anybody watch you and you wonder why things have never changed when somebody loves you enough to get in your face it does not mean that they don't love you it means that they care enough to wash you remember giving your baby the first bath Lord Jesus you know I have a baby remember giving a puppy his first bath sometimes it's traumatic preaching against abuser and it's all about stuff to come to you here washing isn't Pleasant all the time it's busy in its business and it's serious and it's important and if you don't do it it will tell on you it will tell on you you cannot hide that you didn't bathe you know how you have a five year old and you say did you brush your teeth yes and the breath is hitting you all in the head is hit you like atomic nutrient bombs blowing up in your nostrils and you said get back in there Russia people can tell [Applause] people can tell when when you've not been washed but what's weird about this text this baby is delivered but damaged I wonder how many people in this room are watching online streaming watching me right now I wonder how many of you who are looking at me on your TV I'm wondering how many of you that are watching on your iPad or on your cell phone I'm wondering how many of you have really been washed kena go deeper number three is the big one number three it's a big one the third indictment he brings up against the scene before us it's no unsalted you and and that's a funny thing because today you would not salt a baby but in the Bible days you would salt a baby to heal the abrasions that were on the baby now the baby has been delivered but God is saying I don't question that you've been delivered but are you healed I don't question that you've been born again but are you healed or in the church I grew up in they were adamant and biblically and rightfully so that you do not marry unbelievers they were adamant about it was totally tabouli was just it was just unthinkable that you would marry an unbeliever the whole church would just sit you down they would sit you down you couldn't sing you couldn't uh sure the Deacons couldn't beat if you married somebody though you know whatever Oh if you married an unbeliever but what they didn't tell us is that some unbelievers are in charge [Applause] just because you go to church and just because you're speaking tons and just because you can quote scriptures doesn't mean that you are healed I don't want to pastor a gang I want to Pastor a church and in order to Pastor a church you got to be healed you got to be salted now the salt alone doesn't do the healing it promotes the healing process you understand so you can can't solve the baby and all the abrasions immediately disappear but it sets in motion a healing process be honest with me how many of you feel like that a healing process has been set in motion in your life that's salt that's salt Jesus says that we are the salt of the earth but if the salt has lost its savor where what is it any good what good is it if it has no savour no flavor no effectiveness how many people are you healing or do you just see something wrong with him and kill him I can't put up with him there's something wrong with him I can't put up with her that girl crazy I can't put up with him he lost in my do you not know no you don't know who he really let me take you no I don't know who he really is and I don't know who you really are is it possible that those of us that are in processes of healing do not extend the same grace to other people to be in processes of healing I want you to make it your objective this week to be salt in somebody's life to be salt in somebody's life is to help them to heal I want you to be salt in from coworkers life some relatives life some students life some neighbors life I want you to be so I want you to be salt in your marriage you know what she came through you know why she flares up like that it's gonna flare it up with her be so oh it's a tough Sunday this boy good God is a tough one this boy I wish God we're to let somebody else do that I think you have lost a lot of good people not because they were bad people but because you were not so you found out what was wrong with them so you could kill him you found out what was wrong with them so you can lead them it never crossed your mind that God might have put you in that person's life to be Lord I want you to be soft to me but I won't be salt to her lord I want you to forgive me but I won't forgive him Lord I want you to give me grace but I have no grace for anybody else lord I need mercy right now but I will not give the mercy that you gave me can I go deeper number four no one swallow gee you were left uncovered covering was so important that married to Jesus and wrapped him in milk eggs milk rags were the rank said they used to milk the cows with and she took Jesus who was the milk of the word and wrapped him in milk rats to cover him who are you covering let's go back do you feel covered because sometimes when you don't feel covered you give people what you got I made it you can make it too if I made it you could make it if I did without you can do a thousand I went through hell you'll be all right you know why we you would stop being so self-centered and start trying to help somebody next to you and trying to help them get through coupling Jesus cut me Jesus help me Jesus I'm going in I'm going in I'm going in bring up homosexuality it's in this room I cannot name anything at all that is not present in this room it is all in the roof it is all in the room it is all in the roof it is all over the roof and because you don't even believe in nobody have a good intention because everybody who gets close to you they just see your situation juror lesser man and turn around and well I knew it was blessed before you came in the situation I brought you in because I trusted you with my mess anybody will take my message anybody up for this mess anybody up for this mess is some stinky message some stuff because they bid me they bit me but you threw me any time you leave me uncovered you throw me out into the open field I want to talk to some open field people who got thrown out into stuff found yourself with wolves snakes lions and tigers when you say you threw me away though you didn't throw me away you threw me to your away sent me to an open field good god oh man no wonder we're stressed out no man swallowed you know man salted you know man covered you know man cuts you and when they finally did make contact with you it was to throw you to an open field have you ever been thrown have you ever been divorced have you ever been rejected have you ever been thrown have you ever been thrown into a strange foreign dangerous vulnerable situation it's one of the reason we're in church this morning one of the reason we're in church is one is to get some cover and get some guidance and get some direction and get some help and get some healing because it's hard on the baby in an open field it's hard when you don't abuse me but you neglect me and that neglect is abuse your absence is my agony I'm not saying you didn't come home but you were never home I'm not saying you weren't there but you were there I'm not saying we didn't talk but there was no listening and I live in an open field where there are no rules where anything goes and I cannot breathe and then the battle goes real therapeutic and shows you what all of this does and I'm gonna show you what it does and I'll be done it says when they got through not salting not cutting not washing not covering not pitying you it led to self-loathing to the loathing of that person oh god they're so heavy to the loathing of that person how in the world can I convince you to love me when inside I loathe me and I wish how we're not me that's what they're me to the loathing of that person I wish I wasn't me if Alvin of this alter right now to people who loathe themselves and load their mistakes and loathe their memories and loathe what happened to them and know their abortions and loathe what they did and loathe who hurt them and loathe who they hurt that's what this text means it's my job to explain the text to the loathing of that person is a really big thing when you don't like you and you can't forgive you and you won't have mercy on you and you're angry with yourself and that anger turns inside into depression and you're depressed and nothing seems to lift you out of it you know why you love yourself and you won't let anybody close because how could you love me and you're only attracted to people who are mean because they are a reflection of how you think about yourself because if anybody comes around and they're too nice you running away you run them away because you disagree with them because you don't think you're worthy of love and you won't receive the best of life because you don't really think you deserve the best of life so you play the role and get the reward that you have pre-scripted in your mind that you deserve - the loathing of that person how could a relationship work ain't no way forward how could you have somebody they love you when you don't love you and you keep saying do you love me Monday Monday night you ain't said you love me lately to see do you love me do you love me you know why keeps leaking out it keeps leaking out cuz there's a hole in you and it doesn't stay with you because you don't think that you are lovable and then subconsciously you will trick yourself into blowing up any relationship that loves you oh you have an excuse for it he never took out the trash [Applause] she can't cook one time it's different but the real truth of the matter is I couldn't believe that you could love somebody that I don't that's what the text means to the loathing you were out in the open field to the loathing of that person oh yes you love jeez oh you do Gooden look at Jesus that ain't the problem I'm not talking about loving Jesus it's easy to love Jesus yes you love Jesus but how about oh how I love you to the low thing I've ever found my enemy Amy Smith [Music] [Applause] I found my enemy it took me a while to be used to find him I found him I looked in the mirror one day and I saw him face to face I looked at head on so you the one who've been taking our little dumb decisions and messing up things and going and all and crazy to read it so you don't want to keep playing the fool and sabotaging yourself so you the terrorists who strap bombs around yourself and blew up that opportunity you blew that up yourself cause you don't think you deserve no better doozy so you keep sinking back into what you think you deserve to the loathing of that person but I will not I was ministering I was counseling a brother going through a crisis and I was telling him I understand how you feel I understand what you're going through because I remember taking a bottle of pills and being mad because I woke up I'm not there now but I have been there and I wanted him to know I have been there and you cannot help people if you're not willing to put yourself on the line I will not die here and finish this when I passed by you well when I passed that's why I love me but the glory of the Lord comes into a building like this because whenever the glory of the Lord comes into a church he is passing by he is doing inspections he is doing checkups he is dealing with issues he's doing x-rays and ultrasounds and sonogram and checking you out he didn't just come so you could get your praise on he came to do a real inspection how you really do it are you really good are you really happy where is your joy what happened to the twinkle that used to be in your eye it is not there Adam where art thou it is gone you are missing in
