Get in God’s Path - Bishop T.D. Jakes [February 9, 2020]

[Music] this coming generation isn't dying he exceeded our expectations we went from one service to five services in that year they're thriving they're vibrant they're full of creativity we went from literally having 1,800 YouTube subscribers to over a hundred thousand in one month Mike are people like that young men who are doing amazing things in the kingdom of God you can't Facebook faithfulness doing it their way you can't Instagram integrity Dorner's in the first week and God's saying where you stand even when the fire gets turned up doing it in a powerful way if you don't that your weakness is real you never can become strong in that area you have been trying to protect your weakness and gods trying to use it to create that platform where they can come and speak I think is a very powerful thing I can't just say it's time to get off the fight is not over and God has a plan for your life [Music] I think I'm gonna go to the word go to the Gospel of st. Luke if there you were I will let you eavesdrop on a conversation between the Lord and I we're going to be in the Gospel of st. Luke chapter 19 verse 1 through 10 the gospel of Saint Luke chapter 19 verse 1 through 10 glory to God and please stand for the reading of those were to our visitors out know you saw him a stand and thought we would get rid of Lee but we're not and Jesus entered and passed through Jericho and behold there was a man named Zacchaeus which was the chief among the publicans and he was rich and he sought to see Jesus who he was and could not for the press because he was little of stature and he ran before and climbed up into the sycamore tree to see him for he was to pass for he was to pass for he wants to pass that way glory to God and with Jesus came to the place and when Jesus came to the in that interesting when Jesus came to the place it wasn't about just like he is coming to the place it was when Jesus came to the place Zacchaeus knew where he was going to come he looked up and saw him and said only him Zacchaeus make haste come down for today I must abide at the house and he may hasten came down and received him joyfully and when they saw it check this out they all murmured saying that he was gone to be guests with a man that is a sinner and so he stood and said unto the Lord behold Lord the half of my goods I give to the poor and if I've taken anything from any man by false accusation I restore him fourfold and jesus said unto him this day is salvation come to this house for so much as he also is a son of Abraham for the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost can you say man somebody can you say man again look at your neighbor on your left and your right and say get in God's path [Applause] father God anoint the word while it's being preached today let it be made flesh in the name of Jesus we thank you for what you're about to do in the midst of your people there is nothing too hard for you we believe you for miracles and supernatural power let your glory be established in this place I thank you for it now in the mighty name of Jesus and every blessed soul in the house shouted amen you may be seated in the presence of God yeah let's go to work I want to put the text in context so that you not only extrapolate the words that are written and the storyline that is being shared but the atmosphere in which this occurs I think that this fear is important atmosphere is real important my wife just got them talking about things that said that atmosphere in the house atmosphere is real important and when I'm writing now a book called don't drop the mic it's a it's about communication and and communication is more than words it's body language it's voice and flex image it's articulation it's order and structure and so I want you to understand because all we are left with is words and letters and words and letters do not fully convey the atmosphere of this text this atmosphere that I'm talking about is it was a bad week for Jesus anybody ever had a bad week it was it was a difficult week for Jesus how she said that way it was a difficult week for Jesus it was a a week that would lead to his crucifixion it was a week that was riddled with a lot of pressure and a lot of stress it was a week that was a challenging moment in his life the only writer that even writes about this particular incident is Luke Matthew says nothing about it mark says nothing about it John says nothing about it but Luke thought it was important enough for us to understand the magnitude of this moment you must understand when we start to look at this text that we must realize that Jesus is dealing with his own future and his own challenge and I know you're saying well Jesus can't have a bad week I don't write me don't tweet me don't text me I don't want to hear it was it was tough enough that he'd been sweating in the garden of gethsemane until drops of blood came out of it that's a pretty tough week and though we recognize that Jesus is God sometimes we fail to recognize that Jesus is man Jesus is all the way man and all the way God and we fail to recognize that we do that with people too when we see people that are annoying that we forget that they are people we get lost in their title and their image and their persona and they see your persona and they forget that you're a person and it's a dangerous thing for people to take away your humanity because then it licenses them to do anything to you without guilt I should have got is Black History Month I should have got a big response out of that anytime somebody says you're not human then they don't have to feel bad for what they do to you it's gonna sink in on here and a little bit there I had their way with you they'll take their liberties with you they were say things and do things that they would never do to you if they've recognized you to be an individual and sometimes we're so busy proving that Jesus is God we failed to recognize that he is also man he had to be man or he couldn't redeem you come on Bible scholars he had he had to be kidding to me in order to be a kinsman redeemer he had to be man to be touched by the feeling of my infirmity tempted in all points and yet without sin he had to be mad because he came down and cried at the graveside of Lazarus man enough to cry but God enough to raise them from the dead y'all hear what I'm saying he is he's not just a good man he is the guard man glory to God if you don't understand him as a man here to give you permission to live differently because you can say well yes Jesus did it but that was Jesus but he became flesh for us so he could walk out his faith as an example to us to prove to us that it could be done giving up his omniscience and it's on the presence and his omnipotence he lowered himself to his lowest common denominator and lived in a clay pot that we call a body so that he could be tempted in all points like as we are saying emotional complexity saying upheaval felt the same pain a betrayal went through all kinds of things just like you do you can't live in this world and not ever be betrayed [Applause] so Jesus had to have a little betrayal in his life so you would learn how to deal with your Judas I've always been humbled and intimidated because I realized that the Passover that when Jesus was passing the bread he was feeding his Judas he didn't stop speaking to him and disconnect him and block him he fed [Applause] he fed his Judas he fed his Judah and then he tells us to do good for them that despitefully you should I'm not saying I've mastered it but I'm I'm working on it sometimes it takes me a little while to get there I might not get there the first day I might be a week late before I you pray for me I know you got it like that but it is in the backdrop of this atmosphere that this text is taken and into this this moment that has nothing to do with Zacchaeus nothing to do if he read through the chapter and read through the preceding issues it has nothing to do with our kids it's like he sleeps into the story by default yeah he it wasn't about him he wasn't with the disciples he wasn't in the inner circle he wasn't on the board he wasn't on the security team he wasn't in the praise team he wasn't in the greeters committee he just leaps out of nowhere though he is my birthright a son of Abraham he has long since moved away from who he was you know you can get away from who you are you can get away from what you were taught at how you were raised and lose yourself Zacchaeus has has almost lost himself in his opportunities he has forsaken his origin he has opportunities that has allowed him to live as if he were not a son of Abraham though he was and so the Bible reminds us that Zacchaeus is a son of Abraham it needs to remind us of that because like he is not acting like a son of Abraham it's so funny I saw the children up here dancing and the moment they came up dancing I smile and I thought about how smart their parents were to train up a child in the way they should go they might drift away from it but if you train them up in the way they should go they'll have something to come back to yeah yeah yeah yeah we used to say in our neighborhood don't forget where you came from you see Andrew parents today don't always think it's important enough to lay the kind of foundation that stabilizes a child in adolescence and then when they get them in adolescence and they have no foundation then they rush them to church for us to do an exorcism with you haven't been the parent oh I'm a preacher I leave yeah yeah you haven't been the parent you haven't instilled Jesus in them your convenience has become more important than their direction yeah we we raised this girl in church I mean in church all her life all she knew was church glory to God we experienced shirts early in life a toddler in our arms riding down the road in church with the foundation but it's not enough to raise them up in church if holes doesn't look like Church I can never forget my wife giving them up and getting them ready for school and having prayer with them every morning before they went out to school she would pray over and not just give him lunch but she would pray Oh little bitty kids first day of school let mama pray over you she gather all the kids around and so that there was not such a big difference between what they saw in church and what they saw in the house with the differences to be between what you see at home and what you see in the house you know know who you are Zacchaeus is a son of Abraham he's a descendant of Abraham but he is not he is not well liked because Arceus is a publican tax collector yeah and he is the chief of tax collectors now nobody likes [Applause] it must be a lonely life if anybody here from with our Ras I'm praying for you it must be lonely like nobody throws a party for our yes yeah it must be tough to be a tax collector but it is deeper than that because he is a Roman tax collector collecting money from his people to go to their oppressor so in in our culture we would call him an Uncle Tom that's how we would get started it would get worse but this that's how we would get started at the barber shop you know we were stuck he was a turncoat in the early American War that's what they would call you as a turncoat he was he would turn he has forgotten where he came from and they were using his connection to his people now Rome was not broke Rome was was the biggest empire of his time and yet they were still snatching money from these Jewish these Hebrew people and he was an instrument from which that money was taken so he was not he was not like because not only was he a publican he was the chief of the public so when the Bible says he was rich it meant that they had paid him to rip these people off who were oppressed so nobody is happy to see Zacchaeus you know when people have aught against you you can feel it in the atmosphere and no matter whether you deserved it or not we're always talking about you know whether you deserved it or not or whether you were right or whether you were complicit in and of this and that pain is pain know no matter where it comes from you can feel it when when you come in a room and they've been talking about you yet you can feel it when you come into an atmosphere where you are not really one of them in fact if you can't feel it people will go out of their way to make sure that you feel it [Applause] see these these can't be written but they are real it is that Zacchaeus who heard that Jesus was coming look at the dichotomy here between Zacchaeus who is chief of the publicans chief of the publicans in a hot place but he was short of stature the dichotomy between these two extremes it's not by accident on one hand they're telling us how big he is and on the other hand they're emphasizing how small he is now when we talk about how big he is it's not just money its power he is the chief of the publicans don't confuse money and power he has influence he has affluence he has prestige he has power and even though they don't like him they don't fool with him because they don't want to fight all that he can call down on them Zacchaeus is a formidable character in this moment larger than life connected with Rome he knows people he can get things done when you know people you can make things happen he's a big hand he was rich and the Bible says money is a defense yeah we don't quote that often but it's true it also says money is the answer to all things we don't quote that one either but it's but he said then check it it's in there yeah it's a sin all things if it's a thing there are some things that are not a thing but if it's a if it's a thing money can answer things that can get you stopped Zacchaeus was a big guy except he had this issue that power couldn't fix that influence couldn't face that wrong couldn't fix the Bible says he's powerful he's rich but he's short I want to talk about butts for a minute [Applause] either it through you but you can be alright there's always a body in your life people see this about you and they see that about you but there's always a but in your life because God doesn't allow us to have all pluses and minuses all assets and no liabilities all talents and no insecurities he was rich he was powerful but he was short in stature understand what I'm saying every blessed person in here has a bud every person in this room the beautiful people have one the rich people have one there's always something in your life that you have to live with he is not living with his power or his riches he's wrestling with that bud he was short how you gonna fix it how you gonna change it I want to talk about problems that won't go away yeah you come up short I can make money but I can't manage it I'm good about starting relationships but but but I don't keep them well who y'all get quiet on me I love it I love it yeah when I got down to the dirt the year yeah y'all got a little uncomfortable because you don't want anybody to know that you have butts in your life people don't know till they marry you what all they got to deal with because they see your persona but girl he fine yeah but he's a liar she is gorgeous yeah but she's got a tongue like a rattlesnake but but but but but but there's always something that you wrestle with that makes you leave God in your life I don't care how much property you I don't care who you know I don't care what you drive I don't care what you live in there's always a bot that might shoot I'm not this year because I love it I love it here because I like it I'm here because I need I can't buy me the height I want to talk about this the box in your like the things you can't change I'm successful now but I was raped as a child yeah yeah yeah yeah but I was mistreated all of my life I make a lot of money but I can't hold the family together husband and this one look like you're gonna leave I got a buddy in my life botch will put you on your knees but will make you call oh Jesus what will make you plead the blood black will humble here what will make you raise your hands in the service with your dignified self a black I'll make you Colin oh my god I feel something in this place i said i feel something in this place you can't judge people about how they seek god because you don't know about that that's that best bet bet yeah yeah yeah yeah I know I get on your nerves cuz I shout too loud and call it too long gonna clap my hands and I get out of there but but but what what what [Applause] clattering people say I'm going good but [Applause] yeah yeah yeah I'm looking nice what I'm smelling good what I got a nice house watch oh yeah [Laughter] [Applause] Zach he's just not come to Jesus because he has power he does not come to Jesus because he is rich he comes to Jesus because he has a bud in his life all the things that are working for me and not my problem it's the thing that's not working for me that is my problem the Bible gives us this range of motion to explain to us how to live in between the variables see you have to be able to live with contradictions [Applause] if you don't learn how to live with contradictions you'll slit your wrists and we'll find you dead in the bathtub because you can't cope with contradictions contradictions or heart the higher you go the lower the low and the harder it is to live with the low when you been that high if you've ever been loved and then you're alone you have a different kind of lonely because you [Applause] how you can be on the dance team and go home but still be lovely how you can be the head of your department but a failure in your own house I know you don't want to admit that you can dance all over the church and crawl over the pillow but you got to live you got to learn how to live with your extremities the polarization of your life life is polarized it's polarizing to him who much is given here comes the polarity much is required I had much given but I paying a whole lot for it I succeeded over here but I failed over here in fact it was good for me that I was afflicted because had I not been afflicted I would have been arrogant I would have been condescending I would have been self-righteous but [Applause] now's our kiss here's or some kind of way he didn't say he heard some kind of way he knew that Jesus was coming and he got in God's path and and the reason I think this is worth preaching about is because we live in a world today even in the church where we are so busy trying to get God in our path [Applause] bless my project Lord bless when I'm doing Jesus bless when I'm going after Lord bless when I get ready to do Lord I need you to bless one hundred no God needs you to bless what he's doing if you find out what God is doing you'll be a lot more successful than trying to woo God over into what you are doing God made you for his glory he's not made for yoga we are entangled subscribe in this loss of sister gauge not only do we use people now we use all of our prayer is bless my agenda bless what I'm trying to do bless what I'm going after and that's alright in its place but the reality is God already had a plan do you know that God has a plan and a purpose for your life and that in order to be ultimately fully completely and totally fulfilled in life you have to be able to get in God's path I want to pause a minute and get every believer in here to throw your hands up and say God I want to get in your pants if I'm not in your path I want you to move me if I'm not in your path I want you to push me if I love in your path I want you to leave me but [Applause] god I've been off course some time I went down the wrong road some time I made a wrong turn some time I got into trouble some time I took the detour some time but now that I've come to my senses Lord I want you to need me guide me I'm trying to find my way to you trust me people say get in God's Fair [Applause] I was reading my Bible Sarah and I started to realize that most of the people in the New Testament that received a miracle in the Gospels got the miracle because they got in God's faith the woman with bishop blood and she'd a bit of Street over [Music] I'm gonna say that again cuz I don't think you got it if she'd have been one block over she would have bled to death the reason that her stops will stop was she got in God's blind bartimaeus would have died a blind man if he would have been in the wrong alley but he got his fight because he got a God [Applause] Tess if I say give me the Pam give him a bath giving them david says this he said lead me in a plain path because of my enemies in other words there are too many people that want me to fail so i want you to lead me in a plain yo they got no enemies leave me they just waiting on me to lose everything I got [Applause] leave me in a plain path because of my enemies my enemies round about me such as breathe out cruelty I want to be in in your path Paul when he's getting ready to die wrote Timothy said I'm getting ready to die but that's alright cuz I got in the path I finished Mac Oh y'all ain't talking to me y'all ain't talking to me if there's somebody in here that's getting ready to commit suicide don't take your life you don't need your life to get it on path something is waiting for you Zacchaeus was a man they said if I can get in the path everything else is gonna take care of itself so he ran down the road and saw a tree cuz he knew he was short but when you shot God will always leave you earth I want to talk to the people who are coming up short coming up short as a husband coming up short as a wife coming up short in your finances coming up short in your business I want you to know God's got a tree that will [Applause] tell you babe I'm them coming up short but I see a tree oh I was ahead 30 suck of them I came up short under mother and came up short as a father I came up short as a businessman and came up short in my father's for the every time the devil tried to kill me God sent a tree thank you [Applause] I don't know who I'm preaching to but God's got a tree waiting on you God's got a tree waiting on you God's got a threeway melodies hallelujah to God this is your year to climb a tree this is your year the clock you don't hear me o life this is ya [Applause] slaps a man tell them I'm short but I'm clam and short little planet and late but of climate and broke when I'm climbing and the height but uncommon and the Pressman of Klamath my mother climb I've been down for a class [Applause] yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah now last week the preacher told you oh my god she told me she really toe here the trees take a long time to grow so I believe that God grew the tree [Applause] before Zach he is mama and ever man his daddy God had already start growing the tree cuz he now ran into the luckiest was gonna come up short and I want you to know that God is growing you [Applause] sit with me sit with me because you're making me get excited [Applause] to think to think that God would love me enough [Applause] to plant me a tree to think that his foreknowledge was so profound that he already raised the tree so that when I got hungry enough when I got thirsty enough when I got humble enough to admit that I was not enough by myself he already had a tree Who am i preaching to as soon as you start trying to impress people with what you do have and humble down and admit what you don't have you'll find your treat you can't find your tree you can't find your tree if you caught up in yourself you have to be humble enough to admit I'm short I'm anointed but I'm sure I'm fine but I'm short and gifted but I'm sure see you can allow people to so focus on your gifts that you forget about your Heights don't ever get so high or what you do have that you don't recognize what you don't have your tree is depending on you to admit that you're short but your ego has got you so drunkenness that's why you don't praise it cuz you're too important what does it look like for the chief of the publicans to be in a tree I read this and I thought to myself I know a lot of rich people now rich is a relative term to everybody in this room you are rich to somebody and I realized that I had just enough money to get in the room with people who really had money and when I met people who really had money I came up short I said lord I sure he is short Jesus I show his shoulder I didn't know I didn't know you'll know how short shorter until you get around tall you didn't do that you go get that when you get home you see see if I don't call people around you short people look tall and the other took a picture with somebody and they say I didn't know you was that sure no it's who I'm standing beside [Applause] see I'm tall till I stand beside somebody at 6/8 I was running through the airport one day and we would get ready good on the plane as a long time ago and and Shaun was with me and a guy named Rhys was with me and Shaun 6:8 and and resis 6:4 and and the wall must taken our tickets are we getting on the plane and she said oh y'all so tall [Laughter] [Applause] and I say why I'm six-two but 6-2 is tall when you're around 580 but when I measured against 6/8 I was short I've been around a lot of rich people I don't know any of them that would run and climb up a tree rich people don't run and climb trees in case you never get around any rich people take my word for it before they would climb up the tree they will have the tree cutting down you don't see rich people in public uh-huh it's gonna hit you in a minute want something bad enough with all your titles in your positions to take out runnin and ain't nobody chasing you [Applause] and come to a tree and climb up a tree what I'm trying to get you to see cuz I was tell you about how bad he was but here's the other extreme I want you to see how good he was he'd done all that other stuff as chief of the publicans but on the other hand there was something in him that wanted God bad enough to run down a dirt road and climb up a tree Jackie he climbed a tree like a child and Jesus wasn't even there yet but he said I'm willing to climb a tree just to get a cliff you won't even clap your hands but black hands will climb a tree it's trouble get bad enough there are some people in this room that have been do enough stuff that they don't care what you think about them they don't care what they look like they don't care what to say about them ah they wha is the petroglyph touch their people's hair got to see Jesus I got a season I gotta see Jesus I gotta see Jesus I gotta see Jesus I gotta see Jesus I gotta see Jesus I gotta see Jesus I see Caesar but I gotta see Jesus I've seen Augustus but I gotta see Jesus y'all oh yeah when I say I've seen the publicans but I gotta see so he ran down the path that Jesus hadn't even come to and climb up a tree in the face of people who hated him [Applause] let me tell you when God's gonna bless you when you get to the point that you don't care what the people who hate you say about you and you lose your dignity and your pride and say whatever it takes for me to get this blessing I want this blessing from the Lord yes Lord the Lord told me then take a moment and give you a moment to start climbing that tree yeah oh good but your cute self with your blast shelf with the rich self you got 30 seconds left to climb that tree if you mess up your makeup climb the tree if you mess up your hair climb that tree Mack got from vlog look at the night let's say if I can get up there something's gonna happen yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah if I can just get up there something is gonna happen ain't nothing happening on the level I'm oh but if I can just get up there something is gonna happen if I can just climb a little higher is my background [Applause] [Music] sit down I'm not there yet I'm coming [Applause] so he he climbed the tree he climbed the tree so he could see you're not gonna get a vision on the level you are you got to climb higher so you can see the reason you can't see your way clear is that you living on the level of your problems but if you climb above your situation if you climb above your circumstance if you climb above your dilemma you gonna see on a level that you've never seen cuz you won't be on the level that you've never been [Applause] I'm so good I'm about exceeding myself sometimes what is coming is so big that you gotta start climbing before it comes you can't wait till it comes and then start climbing because she won't be ready for what God is about to do in your life I don't know who I'm preaching to but the Holy Ghost said start crying right now wait wait wait you want me to climb Lord I don't see nothing going on no I didn't see no rain when he built dawg a guy was chasing me last night he was talking about somebody who just sold their business for 1.3 billion dollars and that several years ago that he had connected with a particular company and they had gone into partnership when the company was still small and so I chased him back and said do you think that he connected with the company because he had instinct or Intel and he takes me back and said a little bit of both because he connected with the company while the company was yet small [Applause] and because of that connection that foresight as the company exploded his business exploded and he just sold it for 1.3 billion with a beam so I was asking questions I said in this case I am NOT the teacher I have the student so he explained to me what he did he said it was a little bit of both Intel an instinct he probably had a little bit of classified information but he also had instinct get out in front of it get out in front of it get out in front of it get out in front of it get out in front of it that's what separates the men from the boys is their ability to get out I love it now you gotta understand this I'm gonna call him a fool this fool is yeah I'm a card before I don't mean in a bad way I almost fish about being a fool this morning fool because God uses fools he's driver said he he uses foolish to confound the way this fool and he looked like a fool could learn what's happening that what's happening miss fool running ain't no my chasing you nobody's up here you durán out here with your rich important self looking stupid in front of everybody and climbed up a tree on a hunch do you hear what I'm saying to you he said he's hot I believe them in God's path and I believe this tree is for me so I can no longer use my shortness as an excuse because God has provided a tree to make up the difference between my limitations and my opportunities or yellow develops Oh somebody oughta do I know you got a record but I got a tree I know you made some mistakes but I got a tree I know you had a baby out of wedlock but I got a tree I know you've been persecuted but I got a tree I know you was on drugs but I got a tree and if you get in that tree I'm gonna pass about I am amazed at the people who come to church and spend more time getting dressed for church then they do energy once they get to church because they like to look searching but they don't praise God why would you get out of bed on your only three day and come to a worship service and they're not washing that's kind of stupid to me that's like going to a bar and you don't drink why are you here [Applause] brother Fred when I thought about it I thought you know what this is a class in humility Zacchaeus is short to teach us humility to make us admit that all have sinned and come short [Applause] of the glory of God see see the problem with the Pharisees is that they would never admit that they came short they were so busy trying to impress everybody with how high they were and how big they were and how spiritual they were they never would come short the problem with the children of Israel when they got the law the law was never given to them for them to live up to the law it was given to them so that they could admit that they couldn't keep the law because the same God that gave them the law at the same time gave them the tabernacle because the tabernacle was a tree if they would admit that they were short but because they wouldn't admit that they were short y'all hear what I'm saying is our kids climbed up the tree and this is this is this is all thank you lord thank you lord this is this is what the Holy Spirit said be sure that you explain to them that there's all of this murmuring going on [Applause] the atmosphere is not conducive for the miracle there's all of this controversy Jesus has got something else on his mind the disciples are stressed out they've been fussing at people they've been flipping out it's not a good day it's not a good time it's not a good atmosphere and the Bible tells us that there's murmuring going and the Holy Spirit said to me then in the midst of all of this chatter that's going on in your life right now that you have been waiting on the chatter to stop but God said he's going to do it in the middle of the chatter the enemy can't stop God from blessing you he's trying to distract you with all of the chatter but God said it's time for you to focus because the chatter can't stop God from what he's about to do in your life stop responding to the chatter and get your focus back of your assignment because nothing that they're saying matters to what God is gonna do in your life who am I talking to me just wave your head I just want to know who I'm talking to I don't catch it on your wave [Music] [Applause] Zacchaeus Gibson God's path he climbs up the tree and he waits he has positioned himself [Applause] you hear me don't you he has positioned himself for an encounter with God you know what some people go to the same church you go to and get nothing out of it because they have not positioned themselves for an encounter with God you can't get any more out of the service than what you put into it you have to position yourself so look here look here look here he positioned himself and here comes Jesus and Jesus comes to Zacchaeus Jesus Zacchaeus didn't come to Jesus Jesus comes - Zacchaeus because he has positioned himself and the Bible says that when Jesus got to the tree he looked up [Applause] don't let God look up and you not be there don't let God look up and do not be there because that's what brought about the curse [Applause] Wow you not in the plan you're not in the place you're not where you supposed to be Adam you let the barbering distract you when the voice of the Lord walked through the cool of the gun he's looking for Adam where are you I want to be where you want me to be when you want me to be there and then Jesus says to Zacchaeus make haste and come down watch this I'm through with the tree [Applause] the tree has done what I raised it to do long I can't stop preaching I can't stop preaching I can't stop preaching big I can't stop preaching cuz some of y'all have fallen in love with the tree and you saw baby crying about the tree that left that you know understand the tree has already served its purpose and God is through with the tree make haste and come down out of the tree when it's over is just let me write this up this day Jesus says this day I have many days left [Music] [Applause] but with the few days I got left this day I will stay in your house and the Lord said to me if you do what you need to do in public he will bless you in private if Zacchaeus hadn't been willing to climb up in the public he wouldn't have been blessed in the private everybody who's been up under attack in your private life make some noise you are not let me finish this message for praising God in the public because if you praise God in the public God said he's a bless you in the private [Applause] yes [Applause] you know what you know what a good service is a good service is a service it takes you so high higher than you could ever be on your own that when you get out of church you still have and God has to say come on down I'm going home with you I'm going home with you I'm going into your house and coming into your situation and coming into your circumstance I'm gonna deal with your children and go straighten out your parents I'm gonna come in your house [Applause] look at your neighbors say what day [Applause] what [Applause] you ain't got time to cook you don't have time to clean you don't have happy go up in the attic and get your best shout out this day [Applause] I will come to your house and and here comes Jesus here comes like he is down out of the tree he come down out of the tree dr. James there's a reason that the priest couldn't serve God in the Holies of Holies there he is an anointing you can't work in but you need to go in so that when you come out of that realm it will affect your service this day I will come to your house this day I will come to your house watch this and as Jesus and Zacchaeus are going to his house probably a bad house cuz he was rich and I just assumed he says like he's had a crib that's what we call it a crib and Jesus went to the crib with Zacchaeus and it looks funny cuz he ain't like Zacchaeus and they questioned Jesus you know every time I post a post with somebody maybe I'm doing business with for somebody we've done a movie we're for something like that and I put it on the poster Christians think so strange they say oh she a Christian now like I can't have no unsafe read you can have on say friend I can't have on say friend what is he going with what we do you go to work [Applause] stupidity is a curse we don't break that thing in this year we don't break that we don't run that out of here if the wealth of the unjustice later for the just you must are speaking to people with your save that Holy Ghost backed up on your bills about the repossess your house [Applause] you've been getting the wrong teacher you need to change shut Jesus goes to Zacchaeus house and they not not a not talking about their kids they talking about Jesus look who he hanging around why the what I'm doing together and Jesus kept right on walking and and and look at Zacchaeus heart you you talking about what he did look at his heart I saw his heart when he started running for the path I saw his heart when he climbed up the tree I saw his heart winning waiting for Jesus to show up and then when he got behind closed doors with Jesus he said look I've done some stuff he said but I fix it if I want many money I pay him back I give it back to him with interest I just want to have you [Applause] now I'm gonna stop right here I'm not I'm not even worried about closing this lesson I would I want to know if he would come to your house what are you willing to change - get him - Oh could he come this day could he couldn't go home with you or do you have to take somebody [Laughter] and temps tear the hotel that night Jesus in the car [Applause] clean out all my stuff put it in the cabinet lock it up into safer seasoned [Applause] y'all laughing but he want to come home with you how many people want a greater expression of Jesus in your house how many people want a greater expression of Jesus in your finances how many people want a greener expression of Jesus in your family how many people need a greater expression of Jesus in your body then all you have to do is get in God's path [Applause] join hands leave no one and touch no one in touch I was telling a friend of mine I go out and preach at a lady not nearly like I used to know we're close to like I used to every night near I go out a preacher I really I really like to preach at home [Applause] I don't mind y'all streaming in it's tough but I'm not screaming out I like to preach here let you stream in yeah because because when I preach out I don't get to see results I preach and go I don't know what happened but when I preach in I get to see results I get to see people grow and go from faith to faith and from glory to glory I get to hear story and even if you don't get to talk to me you get to tell the pastors and pastors get to tell me and I get to find out that you took this word serious my assignment this morning was to tell you there is a path for your life you all have to make your own path you don't have to run over people can I add people and cheat people and wrestle people that lie and steal it's great trying to make your own way God's got a path I know you did some sort of a summer shake so did I and all you did some things you're not proud of so did I so the exact he said I had nothing to do with it they were still a pair and others whose people talked about you people talk about me all the time stop trying to change her mind let them talk that has nothing to do with the path that God has for your life the last thing the text tells us he said Zacchaeus is a son of Abraham it brings him back to who he is Zacchaeus has forgotten who he is he don't need that Roman money Abraham was rich you don't have to leave who you are for stuff if they can't accept you as you are leaving behind you're the child of a king you're the child of appealing you don't have to drop your hair in nobody's room you're the child of a king [Applause] the cattle on a Thousand Hills belong to your father thank you Jesus I told my sister yesterday she came down to see me I said you can always come in you can always come in I don't care what I'm doing I'm never gonna say no cuz we family didn't I tell you we you got a God who says you can always come in for it cuz we family whether you having a bad week or not if you ring the gate I will let you in cuz you my child ain't no in the world a girl who come home and she can't get it you can't come home when you can't go nowhere else as long is my temples are throbbing that my blood is hot you get always come up you think never been thrown away if I be wicked can love like that squeeze that hand you're holding the person that you're touching the person that you join with may just be having an awakening that there is a path that they need to be on they may just realize that there is a tree that will compensate for where you come up short this is the grace of God the tree is the grace of God the grace made up for where he came short by the time the week is over Jesus will be hanging on the tree he calls our key is down so he could go up higher this tree is the grace of God it is designed for short people hallelujah if you coming up short I know a tree [Applause] the tree is waiting on you there are some things that God has for you that's in the path as our kids gets behind closed doors he said Laura they can have it back they can have this they can have that they can have the other thing there see because our kids was rich until he got the presents in Jesus then he saw what rich was he said I'd rather have you this stuff I've been calling rich adding rich at all the real treasure is having you [Applause] this and that you would think enough of me on your last week with all you got on you to stop and spin the night he wants to stay with you Oh Mahalo now loose has completely revolutionized my life [Music] as I endeavored to help other women discover who they were woman's our loose begin to define who I was it caused me to understand how to manage and lead and organize conferences beyond anything I would have ever done before we have moved from generational curses to generational blessings it increased my compassion and my understanding of people in the plights of the complexities of getting through this world revolutionized me as a person as a man as a husband as a father as a pastor it's time to come home
