hey yo with power Ro officially out in early access my team and I have already spent 100 plus hours diving into the nooks and crannies to try and provide you all the best tips that we can provide for the beginning of your pal Empire unfortunately however nobody could have imagined the scope and scale of this game once it finally released and not wanting to be one of the few dozen people that are basically covering the tutorial in an audio book style we're going to save the advanced and comprehensive tips video for when we feel like it actually packs the value that we expect when we release content on this channel so you know subscribe so you don't miss that when it comes out that being said we didn't want to leave you hanging completely so rather than everything that we could think of that might be of benefit I'm here to tell you the five things that you need to avoid to make sure that you start off on the right foot and take a casual cruise to the end game with that out of the way let's get into it once you're let loose in the world the biggest mistake you're likely going to make is in regards to where you're throwing down your starter base while you you'll need a fire to make it through the night you don't have to invest any significant resources in dedicating a base location just because it feels like a decent spot at a glance the first thing you'll want to consider is that your base also functions as a fast travel location the further you progress in game the more scattered and spaced out these fast travel points become so before setting up a camp in a chosen location make sure you've explored the surrounding area and your base serves as a good middle point to help you cover more of the map as the game progresses the second thing you'll want to for sure consider is what resources you have nearby the game will often have these huge plateaus of land that seem like they're almost begging to be occupied but even though these feel like dedicated locations for base placement they are not all created equal stone wood ore coal pal oil they will all be Main Stays of your farming needs so make sure you're not bunkering up in a spot that looks like a great starting Place only to realize that it's going to make collecting the resources you need for the middle and late game in absolute pain now that you know what you need to know to place your base in a a solid location let me help you avoid another massive issue when it comes to how you're building it once you finally planted your flag if you're a fan of games like rust sons of the forest or similar survival Builders you're probably used to making sure that your base is tight Compact and efficient while this is normally a good idea that approach doesn't take into account sharing your base with 10 to 20 other MPCs and doesn't consider the issues that early access games almost always provide with that being the case the biggest thing to avoid is actually cramping your base during construction while a lot of these issues will get fixed in time trying to fit a lot of function into a tight space as of right now may result in losing access to chests breaking pal navigation and concentrating a lot of valuables in one place that can get damaged during a raid while raids are pretty easy to deal with early on the later game sees you dealing with a whole new breed of attackers that likely won't be so easy to blow through ultimately placing down a PO boox gives you a pretty significant radius to play with and this game is actually designed to have you utilize it to get the most value out of your base so there's a rust player within you looking to tuck the TC into the tightest Corner possible you're likely only creating headaches for yourself down the line space your base out and use the room available you won't thank me for this in the long run because if you listen to me you won't deal with the issues so you're welcome now that you have a base down in a good spot and you're setting it up in a way that'll make it functional and useful the next big mistake that you'll likely encounter is actually how you're leveling up your character while there's a degree of subjectivity to everything in games like this the main thing I would caution you on is how your early choices will actually impact your late game experience when it comes to Tech points you definitely don't want to split your points between functional in-game items and decorative or RP based unlocks though there are ways to gain additional Tech points down the road you'll likely struggle to farm them up with any consistency if you find yourself short on an armor or weapon upgrade that you'll definitely want for some of that late game content if you want a fancy fountain or cool furniture sure go for it just know that it may come at the cost of a saddle for that cool pal you catch later on or the armor upgrade that makes makes the difference in a tough fight again you can iron these selections out later on in the game but at least early on I would advise unlocking the tech you need to progress when you need to unlock it and then saving the rest of those points for down the road as you catch new Pals gain access to new areas and may even have to make use of new armor types similarly when leveling up your character make sure to set yourself up for Success along the way rather than investing in the very small hurdles that you're facing in the moment a little extra stamina to help scale taller walls and Glide to new Peaks may seem like a wise decision at first but once you unlock flying mounts stamina basically becomes a dead stat similarly the frustration of your work speed being entirely sluggish feels like something you should bolster as you progress but it turns out you should probably just be leaning on your team doing most of the work for you anyway the late game bosses deal a ton of damage and you'll for sure be needing to farm a lot of heavy material so instead of Leaning into stamina or work speed invest your leveling points into Health as you need it care carry capacity when you're making those farming runs more regularly and damage to make sure that when you come to late game content you can fight through it again some of this advice will come down to player agency and how you want to experience the game but if you're looking to experience the vastness of the world while also minimizing the headaches that come along with it focus on unlocking the tech you need as the need arises and bolstering your health carry capacity and damage to ensure that you're moving through the game efficiently with your levels all taken care of the fourth thing i' want to address is well it's kind of the same as the third but in this case it's about leveling up your pals or perhaps more specifically not leveling up your pals while the poll of improving the power and functionality of your early game Pals will be very very strong unfortunately unless you've beaten the game farmed up the ideal traits and passives and already have a wide collection of Pals to choose from well your current pals are actually pretty dog okay okay okay okay maybe that's a little unfair but the main thing I'm trying to convey is that the pal Souls you collect throughout the world are actually somewhat difficult to find in huge quantities unless you know you have a pal that is actually going to carry you to the end game and Beyond resist the urge to power them up and treat them to a gracious retirement when they are replaced with the obviously Superior Pals that become available towards the end game once you have that endgame lineup of power Pals that have proven they have what it takes to hold their spot in the final roster by all means level up everything well almost everything whatever they need to carry you through those difficult fights at least if you don't you may find yourself with a powerful pal in your pocket but essentially no resources left to actually give them the power boost that would make them truly top tier and the last thing that I'll mention to help you avoid pounding your head into a triple upgraded metal wall is sometimes it's actually important to not use your pals if you've taken my previous sentiments to heart and are optimized to god tier levels it can actually make weakening some of those lesser Pals a little difficult when you're assisting companions or so jacked it looks like you're casting for Space Jam 3 if you're going for a capture and want to weaken a pal instead of say disintegrating it on the spot be ready to tuck your pal away a little earlier than you'd likely expect if you don't there is a very real possibility that your intended target could become atomized before you can even throw your Sphere for the capture if you want some additional control Beyond just putting them away or commanding them not to attack you can also use a pal directly as a mount and control how much damage they're dealing by activating their abilities manually ultimately how you prefer to manage this mechanically is up to you but if you're a completionist looking to fill out your roster or you have your site set on a specific pal that you want to add to the team just make sure that you're putting yourself in a good position to capture them before making your move and that is the five things to avoid to make sure you are getting your best start in power world we have a comprehensive tips video just around the corner so please make sure to like And subscribe so you're not missing that one and until I see you
