SUR RON Installing a SWITCH on the Green Wire for $5.00!

today we're going to be putting a switch on the green wire allowing you to turn it on or off at your own discretion either skills aren't up to par or if the police stop you and you want to be able to hit that little switch and show them that your bike is actually legal [Music] [Applause] [Music] call me Bucky Nick is lucky that I'm innocent if I didn't had no bubbles I'd be menacing how about rapping crutches with the ignorant but still gonna go legitimate what's going on most requested video since I started this YouTube channel and it has to do with cutting that green wire which essentially takes the governor off of the bike and makes it go so much faster but what if you want to keep that green wire optional where you can turn it on and off with a switch I've gotten so many requests to do this video so here it is guys today we're going to be putting a switch on the green wire allowing you to turn it on or off at your own discretion whether it be you got a little kid wanting to ride your bike or someone you don't trust fully their skills aren't up to par so you want to turn that little switch on so they can't go full speed or if the police stop you and you want to be able to hit that little switch and show them that your bike is actually legal and does not require a license or permit of registration and all that so let's get right into it let's go okay so we're going to start this just like we always do I don't want to pop this open make sure your breaker is off I'm going to disconnect these these two wires right here are my green wire that I cut see the green we're going to go ahead and take these off we're going to strip this wire back like so so now you got your two green wires separated and stripped we're going to do a good Twist on these make sure we're not leaving any of the little wires behind we have our switch here got this from Home Depot for about five bucks and this actually comes with the leads to where you don't have to get these tiny wires twisted around the little screw and worry about it not being connected right I will put this in the link in the description below okay so we got our two wires stripped back and we got the new Switch on off the two leads we're just gonna go ahead and twist these and connect them here a good twist together put your wire nut on there make sure that's real good and tight a full test make sure it's not coming off I only have one of these wire nuts we're gonna have to use a little bit of a bigger one and hopefully it'll work twist together foreign [Music] looks like it's catching do your pull test pull the green by itself and the Black by itself make sure neither one of them are coming out just to be safe I'm going to add a little tape to them make sure they don't come out while I'm doing wheelies or anything crazy get that taped up keep it waterproof as well just like that now we got our two greens connected to our new Switch with the wire nuts got them taped up and secure now let's go ahead put everything back together click that in and this actually has a ring on it so you can take this off you can drill a little hole up here and mount it to where it'll be just sticking out on the side and you can flip it up and down I'm not going to do that just yet I'm going to make sure this works make sure we're good to go and then maybe consider that later we got it in the off position right now we're going to go ahead and uh turn everything back on breaker on this is off so we should be just like we were before with the wire cut and as soon as I flip it on this should reconnect the two wires like they were never cut before so let's go ahead get the GoPro mounted up take your first Spin and see if it works so we got the bike all ready to go here's our switch hanging out so I was saying that you can drill a small hole here take the ring off and install it right here to where you have the option to switch it I'm just gonna go ahead and test it out right now and make sure it works before we go and do all of that but here's the wire nuts got them taped up here's our switch see your bikes on so right now it's in the off position so it's still as if the wire has been cut and everything's working as it should [Music] full speed everything's good switch is off full speed test we're in sport mode all right so we'll call it 47 top speed uh 95 battery so pretty much full battery 47 top speed now let's go ahead flip our switch and it should turn the governor back on I'm gonna reset the bike turn that switch on as fast as I can only 31 miles an hour we hit a top speed of 32. but this does work guys oh my god it works it works just this tiny little five dollar switch and now you are fully legal flip that switch on and full speed important about 31 miles an hour that is crazy it works that is insane that's so sick all right now let's flip it back off see if we have to reset the bike here is on [Music] [Music] I cannot well I can't believe it but that is just so awesome I've had so many requests for this video and it turns out that it does work less than five dollars at Home Depot and a couple little wire nuts got our Pennies on the dollar next to nothing you can find them pretty much anywhere on the floor at any job site or whatever so now we are back in business switch is off you can do your wheelies [Music] then you get stopped by the cops or someone else wants to ride it where their skills aren't that great not that much experience flip your little switch back on now [Music] we are maxing out at 31 32 miles an hour like you never cut the Marine switch all the way is as fast as workout that is awesome guys great awesome you guys asked I answered had to come through for the viewers this works and it is perfect and it can look really cool too you can get all kinds of different colors for these switches but yeah if I just take this little o-ring off right here just twist right off drill a little hole whatever the size of this is probably what quarter inch mount it right here put your little ring back on then you have the switch right here centrally located easy to flip on and off you can even put it somewhere else if you want it hiding down here wherever you want but this works tried and tested I am so stoked so happy I could uh answer this question for you guys and make this real because I know a lot of people have kids that want to ride their bikes or get pulled over by the cops like a viewer reached out that lives in Jacksonville and said police are cracking down if it goes a certain mile per hour then
