What Every SUR RON X E Bike NEEDS! Top 5 Upgrades

all right so here's the top five upgrades video for the saron if you're just picking up a surround or looking into purchasing a surround this is what i think are the top five the best things you need to do as soon as you get it or as you order it order it with it as you can tell it's a little bit dirty we'll get it power washed up and then we'll start putting the new parts on doing a little run over on this thing all right quick little five minute power wash job with this thing dry off so i have a whole bunch of parts to put on this thing we got them all lined up over here i'm gonna go into detail as i'm putting them on but first thing i'm gonna do is get these tires put on get the wheels taken off get these kind of i guess they're like an on-road off-road enduro um trials bike tire that a lot of people recommended to me it'd be better than these knobby tires which um kind of have worn down pretty fast especially in the rear i've only had this thing for maybe a month and the treads already pretty worn down before that like i said if you have not heard i'm giving away a brand new siron not my personal surround i'm going to ship you a brand new one directly to your house you straightforward it's not good looks like i'm missing the uh actual cap that held this in so looks like i'll have to order that up i guess when i assemble this thing i might not have put and locked it on there pop this thing out gonna fall off the stand that boom assume this might be a little bit easier than a dirt bike tire or pit bike tire that is just because it's basically a just a mountain bike tire use legitimate tire spoons i could probably almost get this off with my hands maybe i know the new tires are a little bit thicker on the sides and a little bit wider it might make a difference going on the rim and i'm not trying to pinch a tube because i don't have another one probably almost peel this whole thing off by hand yep pretty much simple wouldn't have been any easier basically can pretty much do this whole thing by hand essentially just stretch it over the wheel stretch it over the rim oh probably do the and then just kind of fit it around the whole rim like i just did same deal man if dirt bike tires were this easy it would be a dream boom all right let's just now hope i didn't pinch it doing those last couple bites to get this tire on but like that as you can see tire's on it's a little bit wider than the stock tire definitely a little bit wider should be better once i air it up too it'll probably stretch a little bit more looks like it's a lot closer to the fork too i might have to readjust this little fender it's gonna just barely rub on the plastic all right pretty straightforward same thing as the front this will have to do with the old school way like that i got the back tire on we'll fill both these up with there hopefully they hold there a solid both hole there both good to go the next upgrade like i said is this skid plate this uh stock skid plate obviously already has kind of gotten a little bit beat up and the stock one actually is super like there's nothing to it i could pretty much just twist this one is a lot beefier a lot stronger pretty worth it to upgrade it and it protects through the side of the motor where this one really doesn't do anything for it plate's done got some protection on the motor now except while we're down here we're going to do this peg mount brace which actually goes in between pretty straightforward in between the peg mounts these are separate to the frame um when you're jumping it they can potentially bend down and bend in or completely snap off so this just kind of holds it all together the whole thing off slip this one side in and then put this right back in place put it slot it in and that's probably one of the easiest upgrades you could do all right next up is some upgraded foot pegs because like i've talked about previously and everyone else talks about these stuck foot pegs on the surround are super narrow if you have a bigger foot than like size six your foot kind of like bends over it every time you even ride it or jump it or anything like that so these are some upgraded foot pegs there's some on amazon um the ones that do fit are off of an rmz 250 and 450 i believe the 2010 and up will fit aceron these are some oem pegs off of rmz um they're a little bit rust right now i'm gonna vapor hone them in a different video everything else was out of stock on amazon so i figured i went on ebay found some use pegs i'm gonna get these powder coated up i was gonna put some raptor pegs on this thing but that just sounds dangerous all right well so much for the foot peg i thought this was gonna work um i guess i didn't take into consideration the actual um spring to actually bring the peg back maybe i need rmz springs too if anybody knows or has done this before let me know i'm just going to link the actual ones that i know will fit in the description that i think come with springs maybe that's where i messed up but all right the next upgrade for this thing is this magic shine rn 3000 light i know this thing comes with a light um stock but that doesn't have an on off switch and i think it's kind of annoying sometimes you don't need the light and you don't want the light to run all the time this magic shine light is perfect and it comes on and off super easy it comes with these little bands which will just wrap around the handlebar and then i'll put it in place right here i think i actually got to switch out to the medium-sized band has a super high capacity battery which is 10 000 mah which will last a super long time on a single charge has like two beams so you can run one beam or two beams you can do like flashers however you want based on how you click the top of the button then you can also get a helmet mount which you can put on top and use this like a headlamp which is pretty convenient you got to do is wrap this band around clip it in place tighten it down how you want it just grab the light when i want to put it on it's got a little mount on the bottom so you line it up put it in place twist it over locks in place it has a beam distance of up to 260 meters i believe and uh as you can tell by some of these videos i'll play right now it's super bright at night probably better than like my truck headlights to be honest with you i think this is a way better option than having the light on all the time with your stock surround but down the light will pop on as you can see it's it's hard to tell in the daytime but lights on right now super bright you can click the button so only one light's on right now double click it it goes into different settings where this is kind of a little bit dimmer goes a little bit brighter a little bit brighter and then max output then it kind of goes in sections and then you can double click to one single light to get it back onto full then you can keep clicking it if you want it to blink like that a faster blink and i think it looks a lot better and can easily just like this get taken off you can use it like a flashlight pop it back on super easy and you're your surround another thing i didn't mention which i've mentioned in another video is this mud guard this is a must-have otherwise you're always getting mud and dirt and grass flung up in your face so said is a lot beefier giving you a better look at this thing a lot more protection on the side the tires i'm going to go test out right now we'll go rip this thing around another thing i want to do which wasn't in stock which was going to be in this video which would be eliminating the belt drive and putting a chain drive on this that way you don't got to worry about the belt potentially breaking should give it a little more power a little more torque i think another couple upgrades i did to my bike after riding it for a little while obviously cutting the wire which you can see in another video of mine how to do that i dropped the forks in the actual triple clamps that way it kind of makes it a little more even um and it kind of sits more level so i'd recommend just having it flush in the triple clamp like that just unscrew everything loosen it up push it down a little bit line it up and you'll be good to go um a lot of people like to upgrade the bars to like a taller super taller bar which would kind of probably be up here um i'm like six one a little under six one probably and i think they're fine for me i'm used to the pit bikes being super like scrunched up so it really didn't bother me i think it's perfectly fine the way it is the bars have a good width a good height and feels like a mountain bike overall i feel like if it was any taller it would kind of be awkward when you're sitting on the thing like i talked about before eliminating the cut off when you pull the brake is super convenient it was kind of weird before when you're riding and trying to give it throttle in the trails and it kept cutting the power as soon as you would touch the brake some future upgrades the forks are kind of weak i really need to upgrade the suspension as if you're not jumping it a lot and you're just cruising around you don't need it pretty much bottom these things out every single time as you can tell from the little scraper thing here on how far the suspension moves enough talking let's go test this thing out rip around and have some fun on this thing i think i do notice right off the get-go with these tires it's definitely more stable and i feel like it absorbs more i don't feel as much in the bike oh how you doing it makes it too easy yeah for sure i'll come over there to you no it's a straight electric bike yeah no pedals there's like a pedal option for it but um yeah it's a straight e-bike yeah um how long does your charge last the charge is about two hours i could get like if you're doing what you're just doing yeah more than enough time for me honestly yeah it's a good time you need one good suspension and everything yeah yeah good legit suspension it's great it's a blast it's a blast you could try it if you want wanna try it not necessarily yeah you're sure if you have a dirt bike yeah yeah regular yeah i got dirt bikes too pit bikes dirt bikes yeah yep you sure no no maybe i will i'll let you try it simple right over here yeah let's go over here you could try it yeah for sure all right yeah it's silent can't even barely hear me back here we have a horsepower rating um i don't so yeah same thing as bike back brake front brake okay throttle it's pretty straightforward yeah like a normal mountain bike all right i won't take it far but i don't care do your thing have fun yeah i'll be back in a second cool that's funny everybody loves these things yeah i know you're good have fun yeah it's got some power to it definitely almost tricky there a timer too yeah it takes a little bit of getting used to with the throttle response how it's like always instant oh yeah like with the gas power bikes obviously it's got to build up the rpms that it's right there it's like snappy yeah yeah for sure i'll be there
