Super Mario Sunshine: The Moist Cut

[Music] for the nintendo switch how are you guys still alive hi i'm mario and welcome to double dare this is the physical challenge why does flood sound like the asian reporter from family guy this is trisha takanawa looking stylish mario i really haven't played this game since launch i mean i might have picked it up and played it here and there but i really haven't touched it yeah that makes sense i've been waiting for this for so long and this is why i've been holding off on playing sunshine after odyssey because i wanted to wait for it to come to the switch i knew it was going to and some of you called me crazy there he is let's get him mario goes to jail for the nintendo switch you know they they do know that mario just got here right i mean the plane is literally right there i didn't even go through customs yet like you really think i had the time to climb this tower and throw sludge at the giant shine sprite i swear the delfino isle justice system is corrupt as hell or just really dumb objection how filthy is this sludge that there's a sentient being growing in it like how long has the sludge been here that now there's a giant gross sludge plant i like how this thing's main weakness is you have to give it a bath you know like smash players okay having two buttons for running and for standing while spraying is definitely gonna take some getting used to it's a little weird but i understand why it had to be done because we don't have analog triggers on the nintendo switch if you guys can just please stop i'm trying to clean up this mess it's better for everybody everyone will feel better honestly shadow mario would have been such a great character for smash i mean even if he was just uh you know what never mind he definitely would have been a good character as an echo or if they wanted to make him his completely own character i mean you could have bowser jr transform like chic did and then eventually separate them into two separate characters because zelda's way better without cheek is it slip and slide time i mean if you want to get destroyed by every rock on the ground man let me tell you as a kid going down a slip and slide at max speed like mach 2 and then hitting a rock felt like debt oh that's right the blue coin thing please like the video i'll never forget when i first played mario sunshine or when i first went to go pick up my copy of the game so it was in august and it was right before i started high school i think and the game store opened up or well they didn't open yet but i stayed up all night because i wanted to go get my copy in the morning and this is before you can pre-order online and uh i just go to my local mom and pop shop so i stayed up the entire night at like 7 00 a.m i rode my bike to my local video game store and i realized they weren't going to be open for like another three hours because they didn't open until 11. so i went home and i fell back asleep because i had stayed up all night probably till about i don't know 12 o'clock woke up in a cold sweat and then i immediately ran out the door to go get my coffee so uh point of the story is staying up all night did nothing can everyone just chill wait is it throwing piranha plant heads that are covered in sludge why why is it throwing heads is it decapitating them or is it just like you ever seen octopus regrow a leg yeah i know hold r to stand still i'm doing that wait for the first one did we not have to go all the way to the top to fight petey piranha we just get this shine sprite for killing any regular ass piranha plant [Music] that probably hurts to be dematerialized into particles the hover nozzle is a blessing it just it makes some jumps so much easier just like the spin jump in odyssey i feel like 3d mario games always have a crutch for those who are not the greatest platformers and they can just fall back see like this like i could have easily fell off the building but instead i'm just going to abuse the hover nozzle i'll never forget picking the game up and then no lifeing it for the remainder of my summer vacation to the point where my friends came over they're like uh are you gonna come outside we're kind of worried about you i just i don't understand the hate that sunshine gets i mean i know it's the black sheep of mario games but it's not that bad in fact it's great definitely not my favorite 3d mario game but it has its charm all right on our way up to fight petey piranha there he is the boy little did we know he was gonna go on to be the worst final smash in smash ultimate i like how mario jumping on top of the roof was the final straw for the roof to break not the overweight plant open wide we're going to jump on his belly button wait do you have the ground how do i there we go buttons man buttons let me use a gamecube controller oh that's gross college kids on spring break be like come on just just open those lips open those luscious lips looking like me after an all-you-can-eat buffet man i wish i had somebody to come ground pound on my stomach after i ate a giant meal and he takers and after all that katie piranha turned to ooze okay this one is the hillside cave secret and i think this is the first one where we have to do the challenge where we don't get to use flood you know so basically a mario game it's real fun to just stroll up to any pianta and spray them just a random one they're like no you're a desert thing why are you here even though i love sunshine it is probably the most foreign to me of recent 3d mario games i say recent you know like the last two decades oh swiper no swiping and the only reason i say that is because it probably has been a while since i've replayed it i feel like i've replayed galaxy and odyssey well i obviously have replayed odyssey recently you know because i did a whole series on it okay this is easy some of those odyssey stages prepared us for the worst i mean i don't have cappy yeah that was simple i know they're gonna get harder but we skilled that wait a second i didn't know that was the thing you could do in this game how does mario not puke this is the only way to travel oh is it time to destroy another sludge monster already i just want to know what is this giant mess that's under the dock is that where the boathouse went i am standing still we don't have time for an update now i'm trying to kill the sludge monster you know like all might does in episode two of my hero that's the episode that got me hooked on that show when he just showed up and he what state was it i don't know carolina smashed sludge monster to save deku and then i knew i would love the show oh there's the boathouse it was just consumed by the symbiote okay you two bears seem very unfazed welcome welcome i suppose you're here for that hmm oh yes very good that means oh 10 blue wait i don't have 10 blue coins dude i just saved your life you can't give me a discount whatever i'll just jump in this portal on the side of your business uh yes rico harbor episode one cooper blooper breaks out man i forgot how annoying flood is in this game every five seconds barrio barrio my best flood impression deal with it because i've been playing a lot of fall guys i'm prepared for this this is easy compared to some of the fall guys shenanigans i've had to endure over the last couple weeks this is a pretty elaborate system who's like you know it's a great idea let's put this wheel that's only movable if you spray it with water yeah that'll lift the boats out of the ocean and now this poor blooper like i know he's the bad guy and everything but now we have to like we gotta grab his arm and we have to literally rip it from its body you're gonna just take them and this is this is cruel man and then they just twitch after you rip them out something's not right here i want to know who designed this boss please don't hit me i'm trying to rip you limb from limb and then as if that's not enough you got to grab this cork in its mouth thing and you got to just like whack him in the face oh well to be fair his limbs grow back so i guess that's not so bad he'll be fine you know just walk it off the twitching still gets me though the twitching is kind of freaky the cork's gone now he's gotta rip his mouth off or launch him into the sun hey uh mario you got something on your nose shine get that don't look too good let me tell you all this mess that's being made is definitely going to impact tourism and i don't know how much money delfino isle has is it a rich island come on wake up good morning come on i'm trying to i'm trying to do the spin thing so i can clear more slow keep throwing back it's kind of like venom venom can regenerate to some extent right don't quote me on that don't even fact check me because i don't know all my marvel another plant whose downfall was just taking a sip of water all right we're jumping right to the next one because i'll be honest i'm not a huge fan of rico harbor i'd rather go to gelato beach where everything should be made of ice cream but it's not why is it called gelato beach when there's not a single scoop of ice cream to be found now i'm gonna have to get some ice cream later you know what let me know down in the comment section what is the best flavor of ice cream are you a simple chocolate or vanilla person do you prefer something more exotic do you cool thing about playing super mario sunshine is if you feel like you need a tropical getaway just boot it up and head to isle delfino can you get the shine please it's a shame it came out at the end of summer because this game was definitely delayed this is just what i want to do on a tropical vacation run around some gross sewers cody throw me a coin and i'll throw you for a loop all right sounds dangerous i'm in oh crap this is definitely an adult's club oh wait no or it's the cops holy crap this guy's on fire oh you saved me thanks a bundle you could have just taken off the backpack or i don't know jumped in the body of water right next to you don't mind me just going to grab this little shine that's tucked in here or maybe it's not maybe it's a plinko machine i swear i've gotten every single shine but it's just been so long that i forgot what is actually in this game so uh it feels all new again i don't remember this i wish i could say i did but i don't i don't know it's just another eight red coin fetch quest so it all blends together after a while why is this even here the fiance fiancee's like gambling they don't come off to me as gamblers but i guess they're secret gamblers there we go all nice and shiny oh wait i don't have the rocket thing i can't get that oh that's gonna be a fun shine to just kind of sit there that looks nothing like me i mean come on they right i'm the big daddy of blooper surfing whatever you say big daddy this guy's definitely in the mob i don't want to play mario game where bloopers swim this fast that just sounds like a nightmare yep we had a blooper surf our way to blooper surf that makes sense sked is this big daddy too i gotta stick with my green boy you know we can't switch it up on him he's counting on us or holds forward to go faster let's see if we can do this on the first try though apparently in the last video i did the pachinko machine or whatever the hell it is on the first try and i got a lot of comments saying they're just in disbelief that i did it and i i didn't think it was that hard maybe i'm just built different maybe i'm just too good at video games do i have to do this in under a minute or something i'm back oh okay so apparently that wasn't fast enough now it's a damn shame that rico harbor's track slapped so hard but this level is terrible all right apparently it wasn't fast enough so hang on i after what happens with mario 64 you guys know the story if you don't know the story you don't know me but when it comes time to play mario 64 again i will make sure that there is redemption when we get to rainbow cruise it's on just need to fall directly into it this guy looks like he's italian i'm gonna think i'm much better when i'm alone perfect i know mario me too i think we could all use a something there he is with a yoshi egg okay now we get yoshi and then we can eat the pineapple mario's got a full head of hair in this game us bald boys are envious yeah i know like we gotta save yoshi and stuff but like what about i don't i don't know what i have to do here i gotta look at the sun loki forgot that noki bay even existed such a beautiful level though that is one strong stream to be able to push that stone in what is this janky ass platform and i don't remember this this the game's janky factor definitely held up not necessarily a bad thing i mean it is a gamecube game ow yeah it's gonna split into like a hundred different pieces i remember this one i distinctly remember also hating this one why got electric goop other people don't got the electric goop mario you're getting mario getting crushed i need coins like yesterday i feel like this move should be more effective than it is but unfortunately it's not it's it's garbage this is trash they're finally aware of me after i killed about 50 of them you know what i think i'm on to something here this is a pro strat this has to be where the speed runners get tripped up we've done it your hotel is safe it can now
