primitives civilizations that have yet to develop the technology necessary for interstellar space travel usually look down upon or liberated by the common stellaris player but what happens if we start as them will we achieve our goals into cell space travel or will an advanced alien civilization or even our own population stop us achieving this let's find out we are using the new era mod which is a complete conversion of solaris where you can go through 500 playable years of different eras there's a bunch of changes and we're going to get straight into them first up our empire we'll be playing as the united nations of earth and there's a few different things here this up the traits are slightly different and they give different buffs but i've tried to model humans as best as possible while you know being a bit strong there's only one origin prosperous unification and the government and ethics is slightly changed too with more ethics i have no clue why that's there but sure we have authorities and a lot of them and civics where we can only start as a local state so we're going a parliamentary republic and i've tried to model humans as best as possible we get pop growth speed we get admin cap and of course research speed got all of my research i'm going in with slightly default settings i'm going to quickly scroll so you can copy if you want to play along and we'll jump straight into it so here we are on an empty galaxy united nation of earth i don't know why there's so many planets in the middle but with new resources there's a lot of differences key one we have no ships no star base just a planet this planet is majorly different we have a lot of different districts that give huge buffs but we don't really have many slots in decisions we can cosmodrome construction which appears to give no modifiers and the iss launch which appears to also give no modifiers german over to tech we have a sapient ai assistant already okay and we can only research the first era of physics so that's what we'll do and the first year of chemical and the first year of engineering we do have a spare scientist you're gonna be pretty useless sorry you're fired and nothing useful on the recruit so there's no market so we can't rely on the market it seems like what i did notice is a massive policy screen where we can make adjustments to taxes everything no funding is put into all these so it seems we can use energy credits to actually increase output so we can go up to 100 with 60 energy credits which is pretty cool so the way we manage our economy i guess is pumping into funding it's a cool mechanic and we also have taxes so we can increase our energy credits just by increasing taxes but we lose resources from jobs and happiness and if we decrease taxes we get more resources from job but less energy credits with no really buildings that we can build we can build an omega alignment we get some tech and resource silos but why would we need a real silo when we barely produce anything now the first thing we're going to do is increase the funding of industry so we're not minus consumer goods we'll try small funding first to see how much that actually increases us we're going to go from minus five to plus five that's not bad for some small funding so what else can we do i want to launch the iss so what do we need alloys and polymers so let's increase funding to alloys of polymers see what we can get to that polymer production let's take it up to medium and then alloys we've gone up to small does that ruin our economy doesn't look like it does and we're now in plus 14 and plus five maybe we can put some into science to spend all the energy credits for funding too 30 more not bad education can do stuff with our leaders i don't really care too much we could even go to small funding with healthcare which just increases lead a lifespan i'm not attached to our leaders so they can just die and there's probably not much point being expansionist i think the best bet is actually just going isolationist off the bat and get more admin cabinet unity and we can't expand meta place oh yeah we have some features too we can create a pop with some energy credits oh we can get some districts as well with some energy credit so we do want to save up on the energy credits not waste them all into uh increase in production and we'll cut down on polymers because we have enough now for the iss we've got enough for a pop we don't really need a poppy yet so we'll clear some districts i guess and blocks deli sprawl la casimi commerce tower was the tallest building on earth for the better part of the 22nd century its unique sheep remains an iconic feature of the delhi skyline the nice literally pronounced sterling wrong let's get the deli sprawl we've cleared that blogger now we've got two districts it seems we just need a lot of stuff to build anything what should we need for tech a lot but most importantly we can do the iss launch so that's what we're going to do i don't know what it does but it sounds fun we've done it we have the iss and we have a new tech so the new tech we can do any of these eras wow construction here i don't know what this does it doesn't give us anything we'll go construction here here with the iss space station that looks pretty cool i don't know what it does at all we have a modifier that does nothing too apparently did my resources change i don't know next up we should probably go for a science sector so we're going to need alloys and more polymers so let's pump into alloys and parliament and we'll turn that to tiny so we have medium on alloys smaller industry and medium and polymers we could increase taxes but i think that's going to be an overall loss so we have our first tradition and it looks slightly different we have ear estate one which you can unlock a budget is this not the budget i don't know the science era you can get more science production that sounds pretty good we want to get more tech and space military you can open army buildings but we don't really see anyone and our planet is pretty unified at the moment and we can't even build fleets so era or science we're gonna go science era and then maybe mix the era as well even the not entirely efficient to do so we can get a lot of tech research from that so now we're just lacking the allies for the science sector and we can go the next step you know what let's do the era of space colonization i didn't really unlock anything from this first attack though weird we have to do them all first i don't know what's going on and same for chemistry nothing that unlocks anything just naughties emeric chemistry is more ago industrial chemistry we can now build our first sector the science sector we get one research job but we get 10 percent more researcher output that sounds good by me the blast through some text hopefully get some new buildings or maybe research i mean cool i don't even know then we might have to go into industry like alloys our food is actually insane we could probably get rid of a food district if we needed to oh we can unlock a outpost now in the engineering it's very expensive though so i'm just going to unlock some of these fish because i don't know how we're meant to build an outpost we don't have any chips and we're going to create a pop after the science sector's done so we can just keep working all the jobs yeah food jobs not being worked now oh no we're poor yeah i had to decrease the funding for that we don't go massively over our energy credits maybe i can go up to small nope nope nope nope i cannot you're looking at this cosmodrome construction i kind of want to aim for next we need a lot of alloy so i'm going to go for an alloy district next which we need alloys to build but that should help us produce and be able to get more okay now we can get this early science which opens scientific priorities that tradition lets us use an edict that prioritizes different technologies to engineering society or physics but decrease the other one 400 influence now i'm not going to do that yet but maybe when we start a big project like this and the others don't have any we can prioritize into those but for now we're just going to research everything at even rate because i don't know what i'm doing oh wow okay well we've unlocked cannons and components but we don't have ships we have transport ships apparently i think this is not meant to be yeah we can't even equip anything are we meant to build any of this maybe from an outpost i'm going to keep going for these eras though and we have max our electricity i don't know what to do with that maybe we can just take a worker off who's working that and work alloys when we can build the district i can't wait to get these alloys it takes so long look every month there's only six alloys and i've been sitting here for so long just clicking text help okay so we've gotten to stage where we cannot go for naughty's engineering now last it's less than the other one so i'm gonna go for this first and then we'll go for outputs if nothing news there we can finally get rid of the plastic that covers the earth's largest ocean so we can get some more agricultural districts uh ignore the fact that we're trying to build industrial districts while cleaning up the thing it's fine it's fine it's they're renewable they're not gonna pollute the world a second tradition i'm not gonna go down this middle path because it's a lot about anomalies and colonies even though this 10 technology research speed is great we're going to go down these side paths which give us scientist content minus 10 what does that mean we're going to get on this left side physics production and text research speed why not it's happening we could build the industrial district yeah look at it go so we don't have many district slots i won't be quite careful and planning out what we build we can always replace stuff especially these food districts i don't think we need this much but when pops it grow we probably will speaking of we finally finish all those weird texts that don't give us anything we're gonna need a lot of minerals for these alloys so i think we will go for minerals from jobs first and naughty's chemistry and the last tech here in physics which gave us nothing to build yeah the industrial district's about to finish i wonder how our minerals are going to get ruined let's see oh we're only zero uh we're producing a lot of alloys now but that means we need to turn down our funding because it scales with that tiny already but we'll go to no funding then our plus on both and we've got plus 23 allies which is way more than before uh now we have to wait for this 2000 alloys i'm pretty tempted to go for another mining station maybe instead of food and then get another alloy plant oh is that too greedy i don't know everything seems to bulk we need allies yeah that's what we're gonna do let's replace this with a mining district because we don't need this many farmers we're only using one and we're fine encounter in sun we have found an alpha menace oh is that a seven what are they their intentions are unknown it would be prudent to assume the words are we going to die oh no it is wise to be cautious let's sign an envoy to meet them uh we don't have any defensives i didn't research them oh damn okay so chemistry's just unlocked a bunch of stuff top growth speed plus five percent weapon damage food from jobs we'll go popular speed uh now it might be good try and get some defense hopefully they don't attack us that would not be good and that's ability just tanked oh because prosperous unification's ended we will distribute and hopefully that helps yeah and we've got another tradition oh wait what we can't go mathematical we'll get leader experience in them they're coming close they're actually attacking us iss station no no they took it out are they gonna attack our boom can we remake the iss space station oh we still have the modify for it i think we've lost it forever that's sad but it looks like they're just leaving us be we just got our first encounter with aliens that's not great here we have the arm missiles now we're gonna get an outpost and we actually can't research any more physics that's quite funny there's nothing left for us to research though yeah we'll get rid of a technician because we have maxed out so they can work the mining job and now we'll build another alloy district then maybe we'll build a banking sector so you can get more energy credits and pump more into boosting the the resources we have we've found the alfred menace there's space amoebas we can either hunt them get plus a thousand or and study them i want to study them another hostile fleet oh my what's going on so much alien life there is that life out there we can actually build planetary missile defenses which only reduce bombardment damage so we're not gonna build that these amoebas are just chilling we've unlocked outposts oh and we can get a science ship i think we will there's still no science i literally don't know how we build an outpost okay we're gonna get polymers up because we need polymers so we can get plus 10 more on polymers that'll be nice we're going to build a banking sector then we can pump more into the policies which seem quite strong why can't i get this technological research speed that's annoying we'll go for the scientist content less scientist content apparently another horse selfie they're just coming back and forth tech should we go next let's go air defense there's still no physics options yeah we now have a lot of energy credits we're mine some of you but i'm just juggling them around it's fine we're gonna pump into our alloys and the polymers now so i really want this cosmodrone construction oh artisan output five yes all right now we're just waiting on the polymers which i've put too huge on funding but we can afford that now that's 80 percent i'm trying colossal on funding just see how much our tech goes up oh by quite a lot we can't fund that i mean we could for a bit to be fair i can go all the way to scientists content but i can't get this don't do minus 10 percent scientist content i don't know what that means but i've got it anyway for the memes okay the cosmetron guy now has nothing so does physics so that is a perfect chance to use our edicts on priority or social research that something else has been researched and we have a lot of influence 135 plus nice oh chemistry we have 20s engineering and physics so i guess this means like the 20th er like we're in 2021 so coming up to current ages we'll research those that means we should oh we've gotten rid of the edict already only lasts a year that's pretty good i guess it just ended yep now it's gone up nice that's slowly saving up for this shipyard i can click it we are we've got the allies for it so i'm gonna turn that actually down uh we'll turn alloys landing off i really like this mechanic where you can fund different things and start saving the energy credits and polymers which the polymers are getting there too i've been shuffling jobs around like a madman uh it seemed that the fuels and lubricants and the ms builders we didn't really need much of and also i just noticed askability consumer goods distribute them decks have been researched oh a colony ship i think we have to go for that and a corvette we're getting up there we can maybe actually build some ships and we don't actually need to upgrade this who knows and we still can't get this uh where can we even call we don't even have a science ship like we're researching a colony ship when we don't have a scientific makes sense i guess go an era now and body physics just finished nothing physics leader doesn't seem to get much i'm tempted actually we should have switched over let's switch them now the society researcher gets bonus 10 research speed which hasn't been wasted on literally nothing you can actually almost upgrade the shipyard but if that's required because we don't actually have any ship types who knows i actually have no clue the corvette is done and we have a defense station tech unlock defense station one construction tile description uh oh we'll go for that then no enough our lead is dead dinara our governor let's see we have an intellectual who's from job we'll go intellectual don't mind if i do we do have crime now there they were anti-crime no crime jobs though so it's fine just gotta remember to distribute the luxury goods when it runs out we did unlock corvettes oh whoa what the heck there's so many projects well we'll go this one we do some oh also cannons we have no shields or armor we have a crew and that's it oh what that control what the hit and run yeah we don't have the power we can't actually make these classes we're waiting for the power tech before we can actually build anything but i'm just gonna upgrade the shipyard because what else can i do if the upgrade can be done oh it does increase the upkeep by 30 though yeah what else we gonna do go for another tradition we will go for unlocks the budget don't know what the budget is let's see there's not an edict like the other one was was the budget what we were playing with anyway like all these numbers calmly ships now unlocked and we can get chemical thrusters so that is something we need to move and still no physics we're gonna need like an engine power supply anyway back to looking for this budget so i generally don't see the budget maybe it's what i'm playing with now no decision is it no no clue what it is and our shipyard has been upgraded it's just some upgrades how many we can build so that could have been a waste and we've got the frost as we can go fossil metals now so a ship is actually coming on we can now have thrusters still no power supply though and like before engineering and research are fully maxed so we're going to pump everything into society research again we actually have a huge influence storage of 5000. i found that interesting would you look at that we finally have that nuclear reactor and the science leader are actually going to be doing something for us i'm lucky that we just decreased their research speed oh well nothing for the engineer as of yet i'm not sure how those are distributed i guess they're just timed and this will end in five months but it's not too bad i would like a new pop i think i've been on the same parts the entire game in managing it we have a new addition we can unlock money production plus five percent that's pretty good production plus ten percent i think we have to go for though ten percent production just on everything um that's pretty nice fossil funding science and no funding into anything maybe even industry we don't need to fund anymore save the money and just go into science i don't know what resources we need so may as well just bump it all into science you can always use the stockholm money to improve the resources later on envoy macabre is dead no we now have the fission reactors and we can get hyperdrives or we can go extra dimensional soon one over really can we save this now no we need armor i guess as well but it's coming along we can almost get ships what about the other types like a science ship can we get a science ship flip designer safe feel wrong required components but we still can't we've got the 20th chemistry oh these are pretty good top growth speed stacking those percents is pretty good or we can modify ah hmm we're gonna go pop growth speed to fist i really want some more pop so i don't have to juggle everything around constantly and i forgot to distribute but there we go back up it's so close 262 months oh wow that's madness no i just witnessed our scientists die at 69 again nice they love dying at 69. and we're gonna get a manical scientist hyperdrives are done and we'll go for research speed why not can we build the ship yet oh we can save a science ship oh yes and we will design ship we can oh yes our first ship okay what else do we need construction ship would be nice i don't know i actually haven't unlocked a construction ship we get corvettes or cannons on no armor but we can get corvettes uh what should we get fast approach is probably the best because we've got auto cannons i don't know what any of these twos but they look like cool concert we got a corvette going this is mad and then what's the last thing transport ship i know what these do when have we ever had to make transport ships for sure let's build one of each but we can't build uh oh the transport ships are just from here i guess which we can't even build let's build a few corvettes then protect ourselves from the space whales if they ever come again bam science ship ready for action let's get a new leader on board survey speed yeah all right we can't survey any more of our own system it's time for the biggest intercell travel a buyer citizen every ass he's going off and we do have two corvettes oh one corvette there's also a sign of general uh fire rate and speed that's the first military operation of the united nations of earth let's follow the science ship as they exit our home system we can only have one fleet in each one i just realized with two different fleets that's quite funny here we go we're charging up it takes a while we got slow uh engines and off we go this is the fastest this is funny uh well that's a problem let's see if it doesn't constantly break okay we're back in where's our silent ship okay they're just going on the lane ah no oh no okay last attempt maybe i'll have to delete the sign chip oh i bugged again yeah let's delete the science ship and see if that fixes me crashing ah that's not good well we finally got to interstellar space travel we did it we didn't get destroyed we didn't destroy our own people but we were so powerful we crashed the galaxy every single time enjoyed this modded playthrough then you'll love the time i use mods to stop me mining can i still thrive without one of the crucial resources
