what is the best Eagle strategem in Hell divers 2 these are going to be a red attack strategems that send in planes or aircraft to bombard the area with something they're possibly the best attacks you have in the game with multiple uses before they need to resupply and each can usually cover a wide range let's go ahead and rank every Eagle strategy and Hell divers 2 from worst to best the eagle smoke strike is by far the worst Eagle strategy with only one job that it doesn't do very well this maxes out at three total uses giving you a call-in of smoke pods littering a wide area about as simple as it sounds really this can help to reduce a line of sight on Bots and while it's less effective against bugs you can lose them a bit in it and the entire idea is to drop this down and give your team a better chance to get away or throw it in a base to move in without getting shot at you can use this on escort missions to save civilians more often and well that's about it this strategy while definitely doing something does not do enough robots still shoot through it and bugs are still going to walk towards you making it just not worth that slot and my main issue with it is it only gets those three uses the cluster bomb being three times more powerful gets a total of five uses but this support or utility option only gets three also taking the EMS strike or EMS mortar Cannon is much better at slowing troops down and finally we come to the biggest reason not to use this nobody likes losing vision the most annoying and often frustrating mechanic in this game is dropping on a planet that has zero visibility because it's stormy or rainy now add in a smoke that the AI can kind of see through and you 100% can't might be somewhat effective at times depending on the mission as well but it's the least fun strategy in the game d tier the eagle 110 rocket pods are an extremely accurate barrage of rockets these come down quickly in a small area and deal explosive damage to the largest Target in the area first off this is one 100% completely worthless against bugs it can land directly on a charger and not defeat it and the accuracy of this is questionable at best meaning it might miss even a bile Titan if it was thrown directly under it especially when facing those Chargers the explosion can often hits you yourself making it much worse than just running the orbital rail Cannon strike that's going to deal with chargers nicely if we instead take a look at the Bots we do see a very similar problem it almost never correctly targets hulks dealing some damage but never defeats them fine for tanks but we've got some better options and just a good explosive option that isn't very reliable that is except for two specific uses number one it can very accurately land on base factories spitting out robots constantly you want to get rid of these as soon as possible well several of the orbitals seem to just easily miss them but the targeting on the rocket PA makes it a dead on hit every time the problem really is here is that you've got many other options for taking out those bases even just grenade but but use number two Takes the Cake Towers I cannot tell you how many times me and my teams have been pinned down by just one or two towers these things instantly destroy you and are insanely accurate loads of eagles and orbitals miss them you need a good angle to shoot the back of it and the spear never locks on well you hope the orbital rail Cannon strike takes it out if not you're going to be toast but I found the 110 rocket pods to instantly land on them every single time meaning at least one person running this on your team might make Bots much easier a subpar option most of the time but does have a highly beneficial use C tier the eag strafing Run calls down a line of automatic fire moving from you towards where you threw it most planes sweep perpendicular to where you thre them but this option heads out in front of you making it a bit different and at least more interesting you get four total uses and it's going to smash through any hordes coming at you almost worthless for Bots as we just have way better options but can be nice and effective against bugs as they tend to spread out less sadly this does have two major problems that makes it almost never used the line of fire is small enough that it's always going to leave something alive it only kills the fodder so you can't stop Chargers or even slow them down and while it is pretty easy to avoid getting hit this is way worse than just the eag cluster bomb the cluster never leaves anything behind has five uses instead of four and has a very large area that it covers the strafing Run seems to be a different options so that you never hit your teammates or yourself with a bad throw but the cluster is so much better with one extra use still very solid with a horde that you have walled into a single entry point and more accurate than any other Eagle but there aren't many incentives to choose this over something else C tier the eagle nalm air strike is your fire spreader it's a direct downgrade to the air strike in terms of Power with the added benefit of fire now this does not provide anything special against robots yeah I get it fire is still damage damages them but due to how they land move around and behave in general it's just not your best option for bugs you've got an instant blast which deals with big targets and then burning over time clears out anything smaller that even walks near it sadly I think do or damage over time in this game is far too weak not on its own no but when compared to instant blast damage it falls pretty far short and you've also got to consider that the fire you just spread down to clear out the enemy can also clear out you since you are not immune to fire I think bombing a nest is good but you usually want to move in and now you can't so probably the best use is to drop this on a breach where you know bugs are going to be spawning now at least you have some constant damage in that danger zone that you can use to save on bullets this is a direct downgrade to the eagle air strike in most cases but if you're seeing breaches constantly with acid spearers all over the place this can be a topnotch strategy B tier the eagle cluster bomb is incredible tool for decimating your enemy working better on bugs but quite effective against bots as well you get the best way to completely wipe out hordes probably in the entire game first off it gets what five uses when you have the upgrade you're telling me the smoke strike and strafing run get four and three but this thing gets five just a straight up unfair Advantage considering this strategy covers anything remotely close to you demolishes nests in seconds shreds all of the Bots hiding behind their bunkers and gives you plenty of space to move to a different area this does come with the drawback of being the easiest team kill item of all time one match me and my team must have had 15 team kills from this alone and only two people were running it the area it covers is just so large you need to call it out or someone's going to get mowed down also consider this is explosive damage so strong against enemies that the strafing Run isn't just the perfect tool for keeping enemies away from you and your team my only problem is that when it comes to Eagles I really like having a big one ready to go while the cluster is explosive and amazing in crowd control it doesn't deal with tanks Titans Chargers Hulks and actual tanks are unfazed and the eagle air strike messes all of them up very reliably or you had the literal nuke to drop in on harder difficulties tanks are very common and you need to deal with them as quickly as possible now you might say just run the cluster and the air strike good idea however I personally usually like running one air strike in one orbital instead of multiple planes great for sure but you don't want to clog up the airspace use the cluster bomb as much as possible for group clear But be sure to call it out as your team is going to be decimated with no remorse a tier the eag 500 kg bomb is easily the most fun strategy to use in Hell divers 2 you go guys I'm sending in the nuke and a few seconds later b boom the screen explodes with bug guts and Bop Parts it feels amazing to use and has so many applications this can reliably blow up nests and bases if you get them close enough to hit this can make tanks completely Obsolete and Destroy bot towers as well an excellent tool against biot Titans is you can hit right under them and get a clean shot with the bomb to the back Chuck this over a breach or drop ship location and you know everything spawning there is cooked I don't really think anyone's everever looked at a personal nuke and said yeah that's okay nah man this thing's amazing and the more you have on the team the better somehow this does manage to have a few downsides still which I guess makes sense for the game play you're only going to get two of these and that's after the upgrade so you start with just one only one even two before you need to have the plane resupply means you can't waste them and they're real easy to waste because the radius or explosion distance is actually quite small if the enem is not probably 5 ft from the shell itself they're going to still live and on certain missions your call-in times are increased making it very difficult to hit the enemy before they move out of the landing Zone this is cool because you can almost nuke your teammates and not kill them which does give you an easy way to help them out of a type spot without the team kill potential that the cluster bomb has but when you you completely miss a biot Titan or charger it is frustrating to no end this is such a powerful item that looks awesome and will always put in work for your team just needs the upgrade and takes a bit of practice to hit every time s tier the eagle air strike is my personal favorite Eagle in Hell divers 2 this is an item I always bring when facing Bots and am never against using for bugs either essentially you have a much less powerful nuke if that nuke were about eight or nine shots at one time this has the in insane range of the chuster bomb with the explosive power to instantly drop tanks and Chargers with a good hit for Bots there's no better strategy as you can take out entire bases with one clean sweep for crowds of medium-sized enemies it explodes them all my favorite aspect is the three uses and wide range yeah the nuke's going to delete whatever is near it but the air strike spreads over everything angle it correctly and you can tear apart Chargers chasing you and deal considerable damage to Titans as well not the best for either situation but still effective enough to finish both targets with the rail gun when playing hell divers 2 your main goal is to complete the mission and the most fun missions inail destroying bases blowing up stock piles bombarding nests things like that the air strike gives you an opening into these areas while also almost completing the objective by itself with this area of damage you can Team kill easily but I found with some good throws it's still safer than the cluster bomb unfortunately this is another strategy almost ruined by The increased call in time yeah it still blows stuff up but taking long longer to land means a lot of your targets are going to leave that area hulks can survive often when this happens and using this becomes just a bit more difficult than it needs to be but for General missions and overall gameplay the air strike is extremely well-rounded and powerful enough to get the job done s tier and there you have all Eagle strategems ranked in Hell divers 2 in reality the 500 kg air strike and cluster bomb are the only ones you're going to be running because if you just want one Eagle then those are often your best to choose from and if you want a bunch of eagles well you usually go with a Max of three which that takes up all three each does have their uses though and it's never a bad idea to have a dedicated player running more unique options the 110 specifically is incredible for Bots and the Napal is top-notch for bugs or just all four run nukes because hey it's fun and it's kind of interesting to see how fast you can crash your
