Power of Flemish Revolution!

all right so since i'm i believe there's going to be a uh an update or a hot fix at some point um i wanted to cast this now because when hot fixes and updates come out recorded games break and i want to look back at this like five years from now and remember what the burgundians were like when they first came out okay so here in the red we have mbl mbl pro player i'm sure you guys all know him uh high level player and a guy who also and this is an important important point doesn't really read and i i don't mean like obviously i think he's in college so he's got to do some reading right but i mean he's not really to type to look at patch notes he's not really the type to look through a tech tree he's not gonna to do that he's just gonna play the game a million times and figure things out as he goes so he's playing as the burgundians and the burgundians are a civilization i'll bring this up i have videos on it where the economic upgrades are available one age earlier stable technologies cost fifty percent less um the cavalier upgrades available in castle age and yada yada yada yada all you need to know is this right here okay flemish revolution upgrades all existing villagers to flemish militia create militia at town centers now as you can imagine if you don't know what the techs do that might produce an interesting scenario in the game so uh over here you have domingo and domingo de rosaka is someone smurf nick and i think we casted him earlier it's an argentinian 2k1 or 2k2 and i'm not sure which argentinian player it is but at his elo it is a top 100 player so lithuanians against burgundians and it's not cap hatch i don't know who the guy is i think it's probably fedex um but also i should say since we're gonna reference this years down the line that currently there's also a lithuanian bug uh and please don't abuse this by the way because if you're if you start abusing this there's already other people doing this and they're ruining others gaming experience um but yeah anyways the the lithuanian bonus is that if you garrison a relic you get extra attack on your cav and then people figured out that with the new patch that if you garrison a relic then on garrison then garrison then on garrison then garrison and continue to do that it continues to add plus one attack so there's been people getting ridiculous attack and just ruining games and it's been a bummer we've talked about it already um and so anyways i don't think green does that but that is interesting that you know that's another thing that is a standout as far as issues go okay so green's gonna finish off the board and honestly we're gonna fast forward because i know what you guys are here for you're here for one thing in particular you're here for that tech we'll slow it down at some point but mbl playing as the burgundians looks like he's gonna go for a drush and i'll pay attention to see if maybe he gets some eco technologies in the dark age because he could always get the lumber camp upgrade and the farm upgrade [Music] we got green scouting the fact that the drush is coming green is halfway to fuel age green is falling up and honestly as nba is getting horse color right now you can tell that nbl's trying to make use of all the burgundian bonuses and this was this is i think his first game ever with the burgundians so like the my experience was the same where i started researching the text right away in dark age but on arabia i think that's kind of suicide or at least it's just not i don't know it's very weird because then you don't have the res to ever go up to the next age and you have to play really defensive so i guess the drush into that was probably good so we could get some map control and funnily enough actually green has gone up the feudal age and is not even going to add a stable green is just researched double bit x and horse color as well and i guess is going to use the eco upgrades to go for his eco and maybe his this is actually really smart thinking i think from green because he probably was expecting nbl to be completely walled by the time scouts would arrive so he said forget it i'm going to use 175 wood to make a uh to make some farms and i'm not going to make the statement all right so anyways i'm going to speed up again this game is going to get to a point where certain technologies are going to become very important but for now it's just a bunch of boomers over here so by the way everyone say hi to youtube and twitch chat i uh i was gonna record this for youtube but then i just thought about the fact that it's possible that this recorded game would break so i've had that happen with so many good games over the years and i did not want that to happen with this one don't say youtube smells high max hey youtube hi max he smells i can smell him through my computer screen he's just self-conscious about the way he smells so he said you smell so [Music] okay here come this here come the scouts uh very late but economic approach like i said and so after all said and done uh domingo here has got some scouts on the field mingo has good food count maybe go up to castle age and biel is going to arrive in feudal now let's see if mbl gets osol here because you could in futile age get the wood upgrade or castle age okay i think it would make sense to just go up to castle age he's also on stone the burgundian unique unit is very strong though it's very situational because it's got that weird charge attack and it looks like mbl happy to have all this food because he researched horse collar earlier it's going to click up to the castle age and then you have green and it's also on the way to castle this game has been a very competitive close game so far and this is kind of where i felt the burgundians would sit with their eco technologies nbl's getting bosol and double bit x now as he's on his way as opposed to delaying your uptime oh there's a whole oh there was a hole okay um i feel like that's probably where players will do it more frequently all right someone said the night is long slow down i'll slow down a little bit of other things i want to do tonight on stream two stables for as we already established the uh bonus for for lithuanians is they get plus one attack on cav perelic so i think if i'm green and he's kind of doing it here but that's auto scout actually but i would scout for those relics what's up lake effect thank you vax thank you and so mbl he wanted to test out this unique unit the costillier he's going to drop a castle and there he goes and we have the burgundians right now westrom so nbl trying them out so let's give an update on what green's doing again green very capable player green second town center wood and farm upgrade so it's almost like he's trying to catch up ain't much but it's honest what hello take some superior swiss francs now well thank you for the superior swiss franc okay chad there's so much going on right now the cat is meowing from downstairs like wow just just wants to be played with apparently try and see if i can entertain the cat also these alerts also the game alex here i i thank you that's a big donor man thank you very very much uh and yasha as well you're you are going to be on youtube yes your mom will be very proud um man this damn cat anyways i got to stay on i got to stay kralex i've got to stay focused please don't distract me because then people from youtube will not show up on twitch and here comes green and green's kind of on the prowl to see what mbl's up to and mbl's just making the costilliers right now the cat is downstairs so i cannot show you the cat right now the greens order of things is now to go for the monastery to get some relics also has the tc going up on this side so i guess it depends on if you see the costilli air being better than the knight or not i would say costalia is better than a knight and they're cheaper than a knight but you do need a castle to produce them right that also had a ring to it hmm remember the castelier's got that charge attack right so the first attack is really strong you can see it here eight plus 30 freaking five then after that it loses all that attack until that bar goes up so it's a really weird unit austillier i think it needs to cost a lier a little bit more if the unit's going to be this strong knight just chilling here for green and point blank dead and now you can see that some of those units are recharging with their little bar the knight went down pretty quickly with the pokey pokes there and it's a pretty close game uh here you have you have green he wants this relic so he's going to take out the costilliere and i think he could have done a better ah now he's done a good great job to scout the map actually and mbl is aware of that bonus with lithuanians too so he's trying to protect those relics but even getting two or three makes such a big difference right we have 61 pop for both so very even game chat very even game mbl should get this relic that'd be relic number one uh i thought this was maybe a green scout but it's actually scouting sheep so something tells me that the sheep are not gonna deny that and mbl should get relic number two so let's just say it'll be three to two with the relics the screen's gonna go out here so knight should have a lot of attack plus he's going for attack upgrades the green's like i can't charge up my units but uh i'm gonna heal them up and then go for all the attack upgrades both these economies are so satisfying they're fully flowing go to eco upgrades and now i see a barracks for mbl but i believe it's because he wants to make a stable to get bloodlines because he doesn't know they don't get bloodlines again i don't know but i don't think mbl is making the barracks to actually use the barracks i think he's gonna make the stable wait he already has a barracks that's true he drushed yeah maybe he actually wants to go okay he's made a spearmint maybe he actually wants to go pike then he doesn't have a stable so he would want to stable for husbandry right and it is cheaper with burgundians now look i i freaking called it guys he did he forgot about the first barracks i know mbl so well now he's making the stable but he forgot about this barracks because his base is so clumped up and he's gonna go for husbandry then all right update again three relics for green right how is it not three relics six months wait a second where is it there's two in here there's two in here i don't see any on the map what oh oh he's making a run for it the monk is making a run for it okay let's see mbl's monk is looking for it i think he knew it was over here or something okay you can see the monkey he can't do anything about it he might need to send his military units here they come here come the costilliers yup mbl's tracking that he's like that relic is not yours it's mine mbl so many costliers it's 20 against 12. i don't care how good the attack is it's just really just the numbers here but there also are a lot of monks for green if he could get conversions that could be sweet let's see if green does get conversions it looks like he's gotten a few he also uses his scouts against mbl's monk and kills that and green has four costilliers now 16 military units mbl is 16 and mbl backs away keep in mind those knights had full armor and plus two attack i would like to think that the knights should be strong there will be plus five attack in just a second again the green player is a smurf nick of some argentinian player it's not cap watch i played against him he's 2k1 i think it's fedex though fedex in the twitch chat a couple days ago said he was retired but i kind of doubt that fedex is uh the guy who um is a grandmaster in chess and he would like would take large extended breaks over the years and then return okay so nbl's making two castle [Music] green is making three stable knights this is a solid game right and he also is gonna have uh six monks here so that's potential for six conversions oh this poor cat i'm gonna have to go like play with the cat in between games or something big fight incoming uh it could be it could be mono's it's not i doubt it's pela i don't think payload could get 2k1 conversions and oh my god mbl this is just suicide it should be suicide right he's lost so many of his own units so many of his units were converted and it maybe felt like this unit would be op but it's not in all situations because it's got to charge back up right it's charging back up the first attack is strong but the knight's owning there so now he's got to go home to recharge and so he goes home to recharge but mbl falls well behind and what on earth is green doing green what the what are you hello trust me we'll see flemish revolution later on that was probably a misclick that is that is not the lithuanian revolution okay he's gonna drop a castle there and the monks are there to heal the knights and so this is a perfect time to click up the imp right so you've taken a good fight you build a castle so you can trap this castle down you then go to click up the amp these gold's very exposed for green okay mbl building a castle that is in a crater i don't understand that at all i would say this would be much better but just mbl things and because he has to produce so many more of these he's not on the way to the imperial age hasn't clicked up 47 on food still hasn't clicked up [Music] same amount of villagers for both but green is on the way to the imperial age so green would prefer his position and green oh just that's unfortunate man that is so unfortunate he's going to lose so many bills and the these units get they one-shot villagers when they're on full charge so boink boink boink in and out hit-and-run and i guess nba will also lose villagers but his castle does go up it's a nice little moment there for mbl okay so let's see what happens it is 31 military for mbl 29 military for domingo mbl has clicked up to the imperial age again fairly certain this was his first game with burgundy so he didn't really understand the text he wanted to try out the unit he didn't really you know they're just like all of us there's a lot of questions about the sieve 27 nights here and i also see infantry upgrades coming in for domingo so he's thinking of going a cavalier with all that attack plus alba deer which i think is probably best case scenario with lithuanians regardless of what you're up against and we got 30 um 30 of these things i forgot the name casilliers here and mbl just kind of camping that hill and a bit of good fortune here just passing from green as the butchers just get shredded and but the thing is you lose your charge to kill villagers there so now mbl is going to take this fight and let's see how this unit performs you never want to fight uphill right but i think green the way the unit works should want to take that fight now after a lot of the units lost their charge which is that white bar how long does it take to charge it depends if you've got like a tesla costillier or some other brand if you have the tesla model then it it's a little bit more expensive but it can sometimes be worth the recharge i don't know i haven't seen enough of it yet though we'll see what elon has to say uh cavalier almost completed and treb's going to be on the way and green's logic is let's just push these castles and then i then we win it takes 40 seconds is that at all charging facilities or just okay oh all of them okay gotcha all right so we'll have a treb here to take out this castle nationwide as we have a worldwide community and now green is going to run in here and okay hold on a second that that was a gigantic mistake oh boy 35 cavalier and i don't want i don't know what domingo de ra rasaka means but it probably means uh i regret this decision again i'm no expert but i think that's what that means he has 35 insanely strong units and they're trapped and he says omg 11. omg 11 is right my friend what to do they could just they'd just be stuck in here forever oh yeah the name means hangover sunday but at the same time mbl's gonna lose this castle most likely and green he doesn't have the population lead but he's got some good momentum because he could push this castle as well right so mbl i just missed it so someone told mbl in his twitch chat said research flemish revolution he had no clue what it meant okay i will show the clip after uh we stream this um and then on youtube we'll have it edited in okay but someone was like hm research flemish revolution he had no clue what it meant he just went from in a nice position because he trapped that army to potentially throwing the game because he now has zero villagers 167 military every single villager has turned into a flemish militia and the cavalier also make it out of here to make matters worse so green's got paladin on the way now and mbl is just like let's go so he's just going to patrol everything he's got forward this is one of the craziest attacks this game has ever introduced and he has no choice he has to fight so this is like i had said before that this technology feels like a technology that you either use if you're gonna die or you use if you've already won and you want to rub it in their face right mbl is not he was not in a winning position when that happened and this these units have escaped so this is like the one true test of is flemish militia op are you ready let's go so green doesn't have paladin in yet and imagine trying to take this fight if you're green like the game's new you don't understand if this is gonna be good for you or not and he's taking this fight and the flemish militia own the flemish militia owns so he's going to run away and these little pointy boys which have 12 base attack are attacking the castle and green's freaking out man green's getting men at arms he wants to go for champions because he doesn't know what to do he's got paladin now 25 units but these things are like freaking halberdiers except they have double the attack of the halberdier so they can melt castles so it's actually a fairly even game green has just lost all of his trebuchets the flemish moisture are coming in and green is hopping from castle to castle to try and heal up his paladins he can't do anything against this someone said they're champion they're champ held pretty much and look at nbl's economy he's actually adding eco again he's at 24 villagers so he's booming but it's still 120 military you can't stop this so you boom up to 100 some eco and then you research from this militia and it just i mean it kills paladin it killed lithuanian paladin green's paladins i did they just die i don't know they just yep they just died i mean he just ridiculous and mbl finds himself it's funny how they flip-flop green now has 111 villagers and mbl has 115 military it would actually be super funny if green was bulgar or burgundians and he could then counter flemish militia rush so i wanted to show you guys this because it was not calculated by mbl if he wanted to calculate this then he probably would have waited he probably would have never done it in that spot but he did it by accident and it looks like someone just linked to the clip i'll play the clip and he won the freaking game with it so if that doesn't tell you that this is op i don't know what will i mean this is going to need to be adjusted big time i mean the fact that all your eco changes to military is already crazy but then like the amount of attack yeah the person who suggested he researched that is correct and then look at the eco i would be so pissed if i was green more food more wood more well not more stone but more gold collected you had three relics out of five with lithuanians you got to paladin i mean what more could you have really done here and look at the timeline the flemish revolution is op it is far from balanced and at some point it will see a nerf so i needed to cast this before the big nerfs came in before the changes come in because i never know when that's going to be had to show you guys that game um so ridiculous okay let's see like any other time i'm pretty sure that a high-level player is going to research this tech it's going to be when they've already they're already well ahead in winning the game and they just want to like finish off the game or when they're already dead here it was in an even game and it was actually enough to turn the tide that trap though was pretty crazy
