former I'm Jeff McBride a magician and a magic teacher my specialty is sleight of hand no tricks or boxes or apparatus pure magic magic is a very ancient form and it needs to be passed on to future generations so I started the magic and mystery school and it's been going for over 25 years this school is the real Hogwarts this is where the future magicians of the world come to train we have courses on just about every subject sleight of hand magic the art of street magic even the illusion magic it's important for people to remember that even though we live in a high-tech world that there are high touch mysteries that can touch the soul [Music] teaches magic the Kimmy school Penn & Teller let's just pick bride [Applause] two simple balls which you can examine and find them perfectly ordinary we did do that my magic teacher Eugene Berger says that magic is not so much a puzzle to be solved but it's also a mystery to be experienced and now I present my favorite piece of magical theater the Rainmaker [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] what inspired that trick well I travel all around the world and I study the magic of different cultures and I collect different magical treasures from different places in the world and then I take them and rework them and make them my own and I'm told that you hold World Records I have three World Records in sleight of hand and the fastest hands in the world with a deck of playing cards all right it's got three world records let's see if we can add a foolís trophy to that head teller Oh Jeff Jeff Jeff Jeff Jeff Jeff Jeff we've been fans of yours as long as you've been a team way back in New York City we're watching you work let's first tell people little something about what they just saw here the word illusion is thrown around very sloppily in magic you know there should be there should be these real terms of art and delineation so this really is an illusion because we can tell you absolutely honestly there's nothing gimmicked about those bowls there's nothing gimmicked about the water there's nothing gimmicked about your sleeve or your outfit or nothing as a matter of fact there is nothing gimmicked anywhere it is just an illusion and his illusion that's so beautifully that there absolutely is nothing to bust it's your entire routine you created it and still there's another way to put nothing to bust and that is Jeff Fulda Smith [Applause] [Applause] fold will let them recover during this commercial break [Applause]
