awesome job as usual you know this is our third sunday back since uh hurricane ida swept through this area we're here in destrehan louisiana a suburb of new orleans in the parish of saint charles for those of you that are watching online and wonder where we're at where in the world are we well we're right here and every sunday that we've come we've had more and more people how many people are new are back in the house after the storm hit this is your first time back i see some new faces new family faces welcome back how many new people i have in the house that are visiting with us maybe you've never been here before which is your first time raise your hand please hi so we can see them and welcome you here to the house thank you i see those in the back as well so good to see all of you i know many of you may be watching us for the first time let us know where you're watching from so that we can thank you for joining us because this won't be your last time i know this is always a great place to be right here in the house of god amen well just to give you a quick report before brother jesse comes my husband jesse's in the house and he'll be preaching he's got a word from the lord for us are you all excited about that hallelujah well just to give you a reminder we're not doing our usual format around the house because we're in a different transition time and like many of you maybe as well so during the month of september i made this announcement early on the only services that we're having here on the property is the sunday morning service and all the other things are going to be uh come back into play whenever we know what everything needs to happen amen we're trusting the holy spirit to guide us so all services are canceled and that includes the children's facility the children's services they're here in the house didn't you enjoy seeing the kids worship the lord with us well we're going to have to evaluate the the children's facility had a little damage not major but we're going to make sure it's all perfect for the children before they go up there as well as the annex where the united youth usually meet on monday night has been repurposed and we've been using it for our relief uh services our relief supply outreach just to let you know seven days after hurricane ida came through our congregation worked together to distribute over and since that time in the last 12 days 60 pallets of relief supplies and you'll see on the screen we have lots of photos we've been able to take people were blessed i keep hearing wonderful stories i talked to one person on our worship team who cooked 200 meals with some of those supplies i'd heard about someone else who cooked 160 meals i thought i was cooking but i'm not doing anything compared to these girls but that's what god's doing he's reaching people changing lives one soul at a time and last thursday we yeah y'all like to see this is what's happened last thursday we loaded up what was left of the supplies and brought it to lighthouse worship center in galliano uh louisiana which is about 50 miles south of here that saw lots of damage in fact their whole church was destroyed but they have a building in the back they were able to put supplies and they've been cooking to the people for the people in that area so we were so honored and thankful to be a part of that and that was all because of our partners who've helped us namely phyllis and keith moore who sent down two box trucks that partnered with convoy of hope and also kenneth copeland ministries sent an entire packed i say packed to overflowing like they always do 18-wheeler truck filled with food and wonderful supplies so we were able to be a help to the people in our area over 60 pallets of food and people were blessed and that all happened because the church family got together packed it into their cars into their trucks and they loaded it and brought it out to the to the highways and byways where the needs were if you were here in the house and you worked in any way whether it was serving in the in the annex or you packed your car and brought food to someone would y'all please stand to your feet so we can honor you and thank you for the service that you did for the lord to those that needed it thank you give them all a great handclap god bless all of you what a what a joy that is well uh today we have an honor great god bless you come on you do better than that that's one thing we know cajun people know how to do when tragedy hits we know how to get together and do what we got to do and and and let me give you my little report and i really appreciate all those that did that all the supplies but uh also with this ministry there we've already spent about about giving away about a million excuse me a half a million dollars and we bought a hundred thousand dollars worth of uh generators which went just like that you know real quick and then uh helping other people and you know for their homes and different things all over those kind of they were not bragging about it just felt led of the lord to do that and god was so good and gracious and i didn't have time to talk to the partners because you couldn't talk to him in fact i still don't have any phone service at my house but i got power and i'm really excited because kathy is cooking i mean i'm shocked right i didn't know that stuff was in the freezer i have not been to a restaurant and i'm telling you it's trials and tribulation for me because i'm a restaurant guy you know we eat lunch out and we eat dinner out or something whatever you want to call it and y'all know look at the weight i've lost man that's kathy's cooking but it was good and i was i've been working 16 hours a day so finally man i mean i i'm going to tell you i'm 72 years old and i mean i run like a gazelle they say you know but i i mean i was it uh but two two and a half three days ago i said kathy i got to sit this 72 year old rearing down you know i mean running up there and uh 52 steps from my house all the way to the attic i caught 98 percent had over 26 to 28 buckets of water over 50 percent of the shingles went where we got about three quarters new roof and we got and then about a quarter left i think if rick's in here he knows more about that than little rick silva and if anybody needs a rule rick silva you know what i'm saying i'm telling you they go to our church as well as they just bless it of course bobby's uh bobby rodriguez is his company too they just do wonderful things and uh and so it's just such a blessing of the lord but we were running and i was diving in the uh pool to get shingles out and bobby came in they said i think he just wanted to get in there he'd over there i thought we had a little fun in the midst of the process you know pulling everything out and you had to watch where you're walking because all stuff stuff would fly off the roof i won't tell you what i did people would think this is crazy but i felt led of the lord to do it and uh first i i want to make this announcement i'm getting my sermon i would have evacuated that's not i don't i'm not against the evacuation by no means because jesus is evacuated with mary and joseph to egypt that's not the issue but what has happened and i'm going to say it again because some of you may not have known this for about seven years or so maybe a little longer when i go to a church or a convention or somebody introduces me they say we got one of god's generals here so the first thing i do i've never paid no attention to that because i think of myself as a buck private or something like that so i turn around and say who's here you know i'm just looking around and uh and they said you oh i said that's nice so i i thank you very kind blah blah blah you know i just throw that off you know to make a long story short when that thing was coming in the lord said i want you to stay he says two things i want to tell you leaders don't leave and generals don't leave now i thought have you ever been in hurricane betsy in 1965 do you remember that jesus i was 13 or 14 years old or something like that hurricane camille 1969 hit biloxi i'm telling if you don't believe in god you believe in god you're going through something like that a hierarchy and ida was just as bad let me just say that because we got into the northeast quadrant of the eye wall here in the destroying laplace and uh the man told me said new orleans had the damage but when you got to meadow it was worse when you went from left medium to kendra it was worse then when you got from kennedy the destroyer was royce then when you got the laplace it's real worst and all that kind of stuff plus homo i mean it had a double eye wall which mean it was it was doing a double it was doing an eye replacement felt little lord just tell you that and normally it happens over the water and what happens is you go back to one eye wall but when it hit when it was in a a eyewall replacement so it kept both eye walls so you had a real huge power of the storm here and then you all of a sudden it's real nice and then wham again when normally you just only get one you got two of them so you get hit first one then you hit the back side twice so i just had enough we had 168 mile an hour gus 140 mile an hour sustained and my house was just not moving but the shingles i started flying i've lost about 50 percent of shane i just had enough so guys said you ought to do this inside i said i'm going outside and meet this prince of darkness so i mean i opened up that door in the back and the way my house says i was in a corner and i knew if i walked let's say from here i guess to right here i'm dead i mean you i mean the trees i'm talking trees 40 30 45 all the way to the ground bow pop take off bricks flying and you know shingles i mean like like uh frisbees but you know when you hit hit with that you you're dead and i got in that corner and i won't tell you something it went it's black i don't know i'm just i'm in as black as i ever seen black in my life that prince of darkness was right there and i said you'll fight you want you fight you're going to get he said i'll destroy your church that you will destroy nothing i said i will destroy you i mean the wind blowing busted man i mean i mean and kathy's you know saying get that whiteheaded fool back in this house but i had a conversation with the devil and i said you want okay you want to go to war okay let's see let's see what's going to happen here and my god they tried to take the roof off of this church we got up there and the screws they got middle schools i mean they were up this am i uh about this hot they were poo pounded pull the thing away then it would just go to pizza couldn't do it took off one piece of the children which we're going to fix took off one piece of the um product called a production distribution uh maybe maybe two or three pieces of metal that's all been uh tarped i guess you could say so there's no water coming in that and all i can say i mean i mean we're at war and i just began to rebuke him and then i just prayed in the holy ghost and boy i saw all of a sudden i began to see light because he can't handle that holy ghost and i said i want to let you know some son mark my words and this is not going to happen and to make a long story short we hear and all of a sudden within 30 minutes the boy was gone i mean the boy i mean nothing no it just began to get quiet and i said to myself if i can talk to god i can talk to the devil now i ain't gonna lie i felt like cussing it i didn't but i was close you know you know jesus cursed the fig tree no not that kind of way jesse i was trying to figure get me a way out in the scripture here where i could just nail him you know what i'm saying but i didn't i didn't i held my feet but i bet jonathan was with me he'd have done it no no he's from new york you know i'm saying hey you got to do what you got to do no i'm just wrapping it but anyway so we immediately i was the first one to come here when i was driving down armond that was i mean it was literally like going through a trail in the jungles like trees everywhere wires and i mean i've been around this all my life so i kind of know when i sound private i kind of know what to do and uh you know when i got and i came walking this church and it was fire signals on all that kind of stuff and i looked these uh all this uh stuff here was hanging down and they just fixed it there was bl i mean that was black and we got that all cut out in fact the uh assurance of justice they could not get over it they could say my god when we tell you do something you just do it i said i'm not waiting on you guys i said no no we ain't waiting on you i say that we we take care of this and i said then we'll deal with you later on you know what i'm saying but they were so courteous and kind to us i was just i was shocked they said could you do this and the next day to come back and it was done good god i said you told us to do it we don't lie we do what we have to do you know i was praying for people crying in the streets because he gets overwhelmed when you see your home and everything and uh but see they all think that all this you know they think i'm a piece of iron but i'm just as human as you are this thing had not been easy none whatsoever at all you know what i'm saying i said but you know you do what you you you do what you have to do and anyway to make a long story praying for people then i realized why i did not evacuate the lord said i want you to stay here and i said why because man i was using my anointing to protect your houses i know all of us got some damage a little bit but not like some of these other people praying in the holy ghost my god and then one of the most amazing things i thank god for robert robbie just happened to be there i mean so they in between the oh here come old saint nick nicholas what they call him and he got no power but he's just bringing all the uh gulf marsha up and just rain and we trying to put a new roof and when they pull that stuff off there's a thousand holes in the sheet rock night machine right in there plywood you know they gotta do all that stuff and i thought oh god if it rains there's no way we can catch all this you know so we're just doing all this stuff so i pulled the joshua the other day it was just me i'm talking it got black storms i started walking around my house and it's seven times like jericho prayed in the holy ghost and i said you crazy you crazy songs you go this way you and you go this way and i praying in the holy ghost and i'd wind up in english and i'd go back in the holy ghost well i didn't know robbie had his phone on where's rob yeah he's right here somewhere yeah i mean he had his phone on and all of a sudden i swear swear to god beautiful blue sunshine am i correct robbie beautiful blue storm went that way storm went that way dry as a powder i was standing there the lord said if i did it for joshua i'll do it for jesse [Applause] oh you do you have that on your phone bring that to me robbie that's right hallelujah i mean i just went to shout out and of course these guys they don't speak english you know most these people spanish oh someone went like this what we should do but i i didn't know robert was filming it and uh i was running robin this way both of us and uh look at this oh can we put this on the camera is this the right camera the red light's over there which one which one boys talk to me you want me to sign you check all right listen right here look look at the storms on the side get a little closer yeah look at that thing oh look how old my hands look but anyway look at that look i mean is that amazing look at this so we got proof that god did those things it was just such a blessing of the lord my god we make the devil so mad so cathy come out the house i said you set yourself right there your assignment is to pray so we get all this stuff done and then it was just such a blessing and uh so god has been good and gracious uh some of you heard that i wasn't doing anything you know like i said they hated me before the storm they hated me doing this tom they hate me after the storm thank you i appreciate that but they'll take our groceries they'll take our generators they'll take all that stuff and can i be honest i'm just going to be as human as you i said if one take one of them generators just when they get comfortable burn it up jesus i said no i can't do that he said jesse i was frustrated man i know how you feel i said what he said do you know how many times a day people do this to me i never thought of that like that how many times they hate me before they hate me now they hate me in the future and man i i experienced a very small thing of what god has to go through you know what i'm saying and so i said lord i think you need prayer that sounds nuts huh what i meant was you know what it wonderful if your kids run up to you and just hug you for no apparent reason you know you didn't tell them to do it and all they just come running love your mama hug your kitchen on the cheek boom out the door they go i think he needed me to do that yeah now some people don't understand that but that's just the truth so we're up and running and then today we're still on generated power ladies and gentlemen because they came to hook up the power but these 20 000 different people have come into louisiana to get all this power up and to make a long story short he said you have phase three this is very powerful stuff here he said now i can hook this up but i don't know if phase number three is number one or number one is number two or three is one or one is two or three two one i said we're going to stay with the generator but today we've got a holy louis uh richard knows louis and phenomenal electrician so robert robert was real good but louis he said and we told him this situation somebody told him the situation and he said well your generator will tell you that i said what he said go look on your generator your generator will tell you how the phases should be hooked up am i correct in saying that ricky something something like is that right kind of and i thought praise god hallelujah so i want y'all to believe god with this right after they said we're going to i mean we're going to find out about this and call energy energy is supposed to do we own a list of phase 3 customers which means we pay a lot of money because you draw a lot of current you know that kind of stuff so they can tell us and if we can tell them they can come out real quick and we know the phase it'd be over in five minutes ten minutes because it's already there all the polls are there and for you people that in this area that thought i hadn't done nothing do you know you got electricity because of me let me explain something wait wait because the uh the contract and trucks were bogging down and the on the levees stuck they couldn't get to you unless they come up on my land and they asked rick and rick i don't need that but they said can we drive on your land now they're cutting ruts and everything i said well sure so the next time you hate me turn on a light bulb [Applause] because i let i let that happen i could have said no i'll just sweat mama and i ain't gonna lie i wanted to but i didn't i don't use that kind of stuff so they came on they really appreciated that that they could drive and do whatever to get to those things to get people electricity some people are still or without electricity but it's coming on praise the lord hallelujah and i had people staying in my house i had people staying in the carriage huh and plus we had people sleeping in the offices i mean i'm going to tell you something this is not an easy thing but that's what a family does you just come together they do what you got to do you know what i'm saying now children just think this is the greatest thing since chop says white bread you know i you know make a little tint for them you know on the gr on the floor oh yeah man let's camp out they don't know and they don't they don't care if they are hot they go hot they fall asleep you know just such amazing so i want to give you my little update so and i want to thank all the partners that have helped me since then and here's another miracle we never had the post office deliver mail to us we have to go get it do all that but they actually got to generate it and put it in there to cut out whatever they need to do at the uh our station the uh you know our post office at our station and they've been so courteous and kind and uh and and bringing in the mail so we're back up and running on the mail now we got to get all our people back and we got most of them back so we can enter all these kind of different things so i want you to give a standing ovation to my staff who work from the beginning to the sweat like a mule devil come on give him a hand clock [Applause] hallelujah what a blessing to the lord praise god you may be seated and also a kcm staff was here to help me jonathan stand up jonathan give him a handclap he helped me so much thank you jonathan he wrote he drove this little green i called a little bulldozer he was going at it he said but just i'm going to tear up your tear it up i don't care just get the tree down get the tree out and we just got all i mean it was just the most amazing thing what else cathy you want me to say something they cleared the parking lot we had trees knocked out you couldn't come in here i mean we were all doing everything we can and uh and and we're just about there you know what i'm saying and i want to thank energy and all these contractors uh you know you we're supposed to have nothing to september 29th and this is the 19th and most people are up give them a handclap for that now that doesn't stop me from working at the victorathon tonight starts tonight there uh for victory television network and i am the leader that's what they call me anyway but i'm gonna have to do virtual tonight i mean i want you to believe god with me that uh i can get energy over here to put this thing on see and if he can then i'm gonna fly there and i won't be able to spend the night i'll fly back and forth every night to do that to be a blessing to to the world and and and that kind of thing and it just it's just been one thing after another and i mean uh you know you you go to bed at 8 30 9 o'clock exhaust and you back up at 12 30. you know you got to just do what you have to do you know and uh so god was good and gracious and you learned a lot of good things in this and i thought about this i said you know i was reading the book of acts and and i said you know paul was in the ocean in the deep a night and a day and i never had that happen a night in a day just treading water and he didn't complain then when he got to the beach he'd pick up some fire when the snake bites him he didn't complain and then about ready to kill him he writes a letter to his protege timothy an encouraging letter i thought man the body of christ got a long way to go to come to that kind of man but i tell you what you learn things and everything and so it's just a good thing so that's my thing and this is the last time i'm talking about ida all right so give me a hand clap you got the update that's it i ain't messing this no more you got your bibles would you turn with me to the book of luke chapter 19. i started i i thought i would dress the day like i normally dress when i preach at covenant church and so i said here we go luke chapter 19 i want to start reading with verse 1. and i love this wonderful passage of scripture and uh and i got really kind of a strange title and but i'm going to tell you the title after i read the scripture and god gave it to me this morning because i didn't know how to title this thing you know and it's about zacchaeus a very short man with a big story a man that's totally misunderstood has a job and people hate him for it but they don't see his heart they don't know what's in him and he hears about this great teacher called jesus of nazareth everywhere he goes they spit on him because he worked for the roman government he was a publican and they hated publicans and centers because of the job that he had so i want to read luke chapter 19 verse 1 of the king james and jesus entered and passed through jericho and behold there was a man named zacchaeus which was the chief among the republicans and he was rich he was rich i said he was rich okay and he sought to see jesus who he was and could not for the press the amount of people because he was literal of stature he ran before and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him for he was to pass that way so zacchaeus had so many problems it literally drove him up a tree even though he was short of stature when jesus came to the place he looked up and saw him and said unto him zacchaeus make haste and come down for today i must abide at the house jesus invites himself to zacchaeus's house a publican's house who everybody hates why was jesus attracted to people that people hated i'll answer that in just a minute he used a wonderful thing called friendship to get people saved he said he was a friend of sinners people that the church world and most of the world won't have nothing to do with but he used that so his father would be glorified verse 6. he made haste and came down and received them joyfully probably the first person that ever said something nice to him when they saw it they all murmured murmur murmur saying that he was going to be a guest with a man that was a sinner see that's religion that's the theological wilderness that's the garden of weeds they're not interested in god's vision to touch the world they're interested in therefore and no more hmm they murmured verse 7 that he was going to be a guest with a man that is a sinner and zacchaeus stood and said unto the lord behold lord the half of my goods i give to the poor and if i have taken any notice he said and if didn't say he did but they automatically thought he did and if i have taken anything from any man by false accusation i restore him for full is what a thief had to pay if he was caught stealing he didn't do any of that but he was accused of it jesus said unto him this day is salvation the word salvation in its purest term is soundness this day is salvation come to this house so that included his family for as much 51 years is a miracle of god we don't think the same way we usually don't like the same food unless it's spaghetti we have something to salt louisiana i don't know if y'all know anybody ever cook a weenie spaghetti oh i love windy spaghetti look at people we just forget we'll just keep it to ourselves we eat that stuff son let me tell you that's some fine stuff so kathy is all shy won't say two words to anybody me i could talk to anybody i've always been on a stage most of my adult life whether it was in rock music or whatever i always did i've never had problems with that kathy was so shy attracted these two outcasts that the world hates are attracted why to seek and to save that which is lost i want you to write this down point one to seek and save is a question and a conquest jesus knows what to do he does friendship he uses friendship to seek and save is a quest and a conquest because he saw something zacchaeus that no one else could see it was a quest for him it was a conquest for him to save is restoration to seek means tireless pursuit this is the point to seek and save is a quest and a conquest to save is restoration i got to restore zach to seek means tireless pursuit i'm coming to your house today no matter what the church world says no matter whatever anybody says now let me just get point-blank blunt okay i don't care if you are a homosexual i'll eat lunch with you because i'm a friend of sinners i don't care if you're a murderer i'll eat lunch with you why to seek and to save what is lost so we can restore and i will tirelessly pursue you you him or her until you know this christ in me i will even eat lunch with a church person who is mean as a snake how many of you knew some church people they're snakes hold your hand up don't lie you know it's true i'll eat lunch with you i'll eat lunch with my enemy it doesn't make any difference to seek and to save to restore and to pursue what god wants us to do because opposites attract an outcast attract i am so totally different than the average word of faith preacher when kenneth copeland asked me to preach or believe his convention 31 years ago i said do you know who i am i don't even talk like jerry savelle i don't talk like you i don't talk like kenneth hagin in fact i never heard of the word of faith but he saw something in me and now we're like this because he understood that i understand covenant but most people don't that's why i put that scripture in my covenant will i not break see not only is that for god no alter the thing that goes out of my life not only is that god psalms 89 34 that's for jesse too unless you break it with me you see what i'm saying to seek and save is a quest and a conquest to save his restoration to seek means tireless pursuit why do you do what you do you know i've had people hurting me boy whoo speak evil of me walk away from me could care less because they got what they wanted i guess i don't know and what they wouldn't but they don't understand i would bless them again why i'm going to tell you why this is my next point we must believe in the best of people we must believe in the best of people we must have unconquerable confidence and superb faith let me say it again we must believe in the best of people we must have unconquerable confidence superb faith what does that do which qualifies you to become a friend to be a friend because a friend is sticking closer than a brother you have to have superb faith uncomparable cannot be conquered unconquered i mean cannot be confidence you got to believe in the best yeah but look what they did got to believe in the best it takes time that's what a friend does sticks closer than a family member so let me say it again it's a long point we must believe in the best of people we must have unconquerable confidence superb faith which qualifies you me and you to become a friend see the highest thing you can be called is a friend jesus was a friend of sinners that's why i could eat with zacchaeus why he could tell a a person who had committed adultery neither do i condemn you go sin no more see that's superb faith that's uncomfortable confidence that's looking at the best in follow what i'm saying but when you understand this then you'll look at a sin-sick terrible world and say father forgive them for they know not what they do i refuse to trample on the blood of jesus christ he saved me from so much and then he washed it away i wish my memory was like god that i couldn't remember what i did i wish but sometimes i think and i can remember not god he has no concept of it because he's uncomfortable he has uncomparable confidence in me and i in him that's why i said you must have the mind of christ because your mind will mess you up so we believe in some people believe in original sin i believe in original goodness that's why he was a friend of publicans and senators so that's why i'm a friend with the lokosan austria i have mafia friends who want to do things for me that's a temptation i'm not gonna lie that's a temptation to them that's business they need jesus oh i've had the federal government call me and say do you know who these people are yeah they need jesus just like you you mean you're going to let president biden go in your hangar yeah he's the president of the united states do you agree what he says no and i don't think he does neither because i don't know he doesn't know i i i don't mean i don't mean that in a rude sense but yeah i honor that original goodness i was on death row with a lady that they gave a lethal injection the next day she started to say you don't know what i've done and i said i should never know don't need to i'm here i'm your friend but i'm so bad i said but you've asked the lord to forgive me yes and it truly was a gift of repentance and yes he has no idea what you're talking about and you know what it was our last request i'd like to meet jesse the class man what do you say before you criticize me what do you say she needed love i shared it with her right in front of this meanest looking guard i ever saw in my life i mean about 6 6 throughout you ever seen a well you drop a letter through a little letter thing at the doors and her little fingers were like this and i said can i touch her fingers he went i could tell he hated her he goes just that touch a friend of a murderer but no longer a murderer because neither do i condemn you you go into the arms of the lord jesus christ write this down we uh zacchaeus's conversion is the clearest illustration of the love of god in action zacchaeus's conversion is the clearest illustration of the love of god in action you know fakes without works is dead so is love people need to see love it it's not just said it it it has to have something behind it i'm coming to your house today zacchaeus church is mad yeah but you know outcasts hang together good on both sides of the spectrum write this down we sometimes have to pass through guess somebody told him i don't know i didn't and i threw it here you know when when i saw him a couple days later he said he picked up that stuff first time he ever said something to me i said yeah i said a man he said you stayed and what i was thinking was i'm having a conversation with a man that hates me i mean you can ask that whoa i never talked to him never ever he wouldn't even talk hated me i don't know maybe believe something somebody wrote about me or something i don't know who knows i don't know that yeah but you didn't have to do that i said i know i said you know i'm just looking for something that looks clean and normal it shook him he i i didn't know his name he shook my hand we started having a conversation i said you want something to drink no he said no i got something and i said is your wife here no she said he said but i'm just standing in one room on a little generator uh he said i just i he couldn't get her so now i've been walking over there hey how you doing man how you doing man i mean and he had some other trash you know shingles and stuff i said i got a dumpster throw it in it be serious yeah i made a friend i did it with friendship opposite attract i came and told kathy she said what are you smiling for set yourself down it was a blessing i asked him i said i need to see something he said go back there and do it oh oh that could not happen you couldn't put one foot i found out he was a nice man so even when i thought and i believe it was my enemy there was something good in that man there was something there that i didn't see and when i read that kid i went oh god jesus that's what you saw yeah so i said hey man he saw some shoes that somebody would give me i don't know the name of them shoes but you don't wear socks i like socks i got a lot but but these you don't wear socks he said things comfortable i said what size shoe you wear now we are smelling like a dog i mean we are dirty you understand i pulled i said put that on he said dog man i said what's up he said i said well i'm a uh uh eight eight i think it's eight or eight and a half but he was like a nine and a half i said with this stretch just put on me if you have one i said i got a brand new pair but he said well let's just do char i said i'd give it oh no would you do yeah he put i said things are comfortable a little too tight for me he said i said man get your pad and thing i mean it's just amazing all of a sudden he's drinking a coke and i'm drinking some water and we got conversation and then i looked at the man the way i should have looked at him 10 years ago no matter what he said look for the original goodness it's there see that's what i mean by bringing passion to indifference fervor to coldness write this down beware of lost ideals lost enthusiasm lost hope and lost spiritual joy let me say it again beware of lost ideals lost enthusiasm lost hope and lost spiritual joy you see after a while when you as old as i am and been in the ministry people pull from you constantly because they don't think you have that you can walk on the water well at times i have but you know i hurt like anybody else but we're not allowed to show that why leaders not smart not generals you got to lead there's no other choice in the matter if you're a father you got to take care of your family you got to make sure when them kids go to that refrigerator they got something they eat you got to take care of that wife you got to take care of her i remember telling that to kathy i said i will take care of you or there was times i'll tell you it was close she didn't know it i think she did smarter than but uh that's what you do i told my daughter i will never leave you no matter what because i'm your father i always will be and you're a grown woman but you are my little girl do you understand that but a lot of people don't care about that kids don't care about their parents parents don't care about their kids and they certainly don't care about their grandkids or grandparents i think if i had a grandparent and an old folks home somebody moved i'd know about it immediately but you know just put them out of sight and out of mind but you don't understand one day you're going to be in the same situation and what you sow you will reap so beware of lost ideals lost enthusiasms lost hope and lost spiritual joy so what do we do brother jesse write this down we must restore to save his restoration to seek his tireless pursuit you know we must restore renew recreate and reconcile we must restore renew recreate and reconcile there's no other choice it's the answer to every problem you'll ever meet in your life spiritual physical or financial you restore you renew you recreate you reconcile the other day i had a i didn't realize how heavy shingles are i've been working 16 hours a day i mean i got mosquito bites in my i i'm not looking for something there roy i couldn't pick this thing up i mean and i'm not weak i mean i had a bunch of shingles that i had to get off the road you know and different things and and i put them in this garbage cans so i could you know i was rolling around i really wanted to put them in a wheelbarrow but i found it and they told me to put it when you you know separate the wood from the uh the debris from the wood the you know whatever the parish says i'm doing everything i can to try to get this off and a man come running across the road and he's not my neighbor but he he's my neighbor's neighbor i never met him before in my life he said hey my man look like you need some help i said oh you are in an you are a interpreter yes well we grab them both of us i mean veins hanging out of our necks so we can get that thing over and put it where we're supposed to be he looked at me says i've heard a lot about you i said i said well i hope it was good he said i heard some bad but i didn't believe it because i've watched you for a long time you know you're just a normal guy i said yes sir how old are you i said older than you we started talking met another person he said listen if you need some help just come go go down two two houses and knock on my door man i'm i'm i'm here for you i said what do you help me today i said i just i thought i could do this he said well we still think we got the same strength when we were young i'm about 10 years older than he is i think he i'm 72 i think he was 62. now i think at 18 to 20 i'd have picked that up but not today when i pulled my body said no no i will not let you hurt me no you want to help me eat something and all this then i thought about jesus i'd be lifted up i will draw a mentor in the midst of all this chaos people will come together my lord i'm so glad you should my heart was so touched and we sent that food to the lighthouse over there in galliano that church is destroyed but they'll build it again let me say this write this down well let me say that first of all we must restore renew recreate and reconcile my last point we're all commanded to bring people into a new world and make them realize they belong to it we are all commanded to bring people into a new world and make them realize they belong to it that's what jesus did to zacchaeus you're a son of abraham the church has rejected you you're an outcast i know how you feel because so am i but you belong in this new world jesus didn't tell him to restore fourfold what told him to restore if he had done it the original goodness that originality isn't that something hatching that's original jesus didn't tell him well you gotta go do this do that that sounds churchy don't okay you got to do this you got to do that you got to do this no he said i just go eat dinner with you how many times did jesus eat with zacchaeus i mean one was recorded i bet many times he passed by he said we're going to zac's tonight i believe that i really do because he sure went to mary martha lazarus that was his best friends there buddy he had three to you know they should have been his disciples they wouldn't forsake him they were there for him boy you find very few people like that but you know when you get overwhelmed oh jesus if you'd been here my brother wouldn't have died martha i'm the resurrection i know he'll rise in that day the bible said jesus groaned his best friend heard him the bible said he sighed but he raised lazarus from the dead and then the church wanted to kill him again the church opposite the tract so glad kathy are you glad that you was attracted to me i was glad i was attracted to you even though we have differences of opinion on a lot of things are you glad that i'm the leader of this church [Applause] if i need you can i count on you can you count on me that's why i called it covenant friends just friends you want to get your family saved instead of treating them as a brother sister uncle aunt grandpa grandpa mama daddy treat him as a friend use what jesus used you know little aggravating sister yours everybody's got him in a family baby you know it sometimes you wonder mama did you mess around with somebody else because this is not my sister no you can't say it no everybody got them in the family you know how it is you're going to have to get a bunch of disapproval they go they're going oh lord but you know what you treat them as a friend you can go eat at the house i have very few friends i can count them about a hand and a half this is a lonely road it had not been easy and in the midst of all this stuff who do i lean on thank you that's what i said who do i linger in this whole thing oh and that hasn't stopped the people calling me from you got to do this you got to do that i kind of felt like john they put my head on your shoulder it was a good day for me god glenn i said god bless me if you will bless me i'll finance this ministry i just want people that i can pray for and they pray for me i never wanted any zero i'm not bragging about that i said lord if you blessed me you gave me a business mind you bless me on wall street you bless me in this i said uh and i've put hundreds and hundreds of half a billion dollars in ministry billion would it be i said if you bless me i'll never receive an offer i'll do it myself but i'd like that partner to know that i could link that i could pray with them and they could pray with me that's been my heart's desire and the lord i thought would say that's such a nice thing to say but he didn't he said oh you want me to take giving out the bible i said i didn't say that he said yes you did he said well let's take our salvation since you want to rip that out too you like we want to get rid of healing then i realized i had made a mistake that every part of this bible has to come through fruition that's why we receive offerings so that's why i ask you to be a partner with my ministry you can be a part of what other ministries do the bible says you can you can give to all you know he was so hispanic the reaper's experiment he was sort of bound for also bounty every man according has a purpose in his heart so let him give not gradually but a necessity for god loveth that you're forgiven and god is able to make all grace abound toward you that you always having all sufficient all things watch this may abound to every good work which means you can give the warrior notes or you can give talk for a few minutes but we're all so exhausted we'd say okay we're going to bed and mm-hmm and and i told renee i said if you hear somebody walking in the attic it's not a devil it's not a demon it's jesse looking for leaks and all this kind of stuff i mean everything you could think of it was just i mean it was something you know with family here you do what you have to do and many of you have people in your homes and some of you one day you lent out your home that's such a blessing of the lord and all that kind of stuff i mean thank you all for doing those things and just coming together uh and uh you know and it's just such a blessing to see people doing those kind of things i called richard man richard had still don't have a power and uh i said richie why don't you just and stuff like that and uh he came over and looked at one of my windows and you don't think god blesses me i said rich is one built my house let me just say this real quick so something hit it we don't know what it is probably a shingle i'm assuming anyway and i have 180 mile an hour windows sustained wind you know in fact state farm said this is how the house ought to be built in a hurricane and it didn't move but now the shingles flew but i mean but the houses and uh i said well we got to order one of those because i said richie if we call a company that did that and we went upstairs in the attic and guess what i had one in the attic i said hey look at here i said i said but rich it doesn't work not sure how much i know about carpentry i said it don't have the latches he said with the one downstairs is broke right yeah but it has the latches yeah he said well jesse we'll take the latches off this broken and put it on the way and you got your window i said that's why you are a
