hey what is that flavor family it is Bobby coming actually from Costco because you guys have been asking for a snack review video and the other day I was here doing some shopping and realized there's a ton of snacks here at Costco many are good many are bad so I thought we'd do a video reviewing every single snacks in these aisles the good the bad the ugly all that stuff so let's get going before we do hey hook me up subscribe to my channel because every week we are rocking out 3 videos 1 cooking a live stream during the week and 2 videos on the weekend after you subscribe hit that little bell icon that way you get a push notification as soon as we go live every single week and you don't want to miss the live streams during the week we make a recipe from start to finish it's a lot of fun now let's get our snacks off all right let's start off with something I love here at Costco not just for the price but for the flavor our x-bars first of all you got to love the packaging for this they just put it on the label what's in there and the last ingredient no BS that's because when you read the back of the ingredients here there is no BS look it's just a few ingredients all of which are natural I mean I wish the quality of the eggs was higher quality I'm guessing it's like a cage free egg which we know from the egg video is a relatively low quality egg but we're talking about good ingredients great price at 1:24 per bar I've seen this as high as $2.99 per bar at Whole Foods I think Trader Joe's it's a buck 99 so 1:24 per bar for a high quality bar like this I would scoop this all day long I saw these the other day fruit bars right I think art and I grew up with fruit roll-ups right art okay those didn't have too much fruit in these but these actually are decent the problem is there's one ingredient which I'm becoming more and more alert about lately check it out our it's natural flavoring so natural flavoring we're gonna do a whole video about that it's actually not natural it's a really really tricky thing where the government doesn't quite regulate it but as long as you start with a natural ingredient like say an apple you can add as many ingredients chemicals you can treat it as much as you want and still call it natural unfortunately look around any grocery store there's natural flavorings in everything your now so it's very hard to avoid try to avoid them if you can this has 11 grams of sugar all of which are natural there's no added sugar I'm gonna say you can still get this because it's still pretty good ingredients but those natural flavors really bug me but we're gonna talk more about that and upcoming video because there ain't nothing natural about it art was loving this name right here this is almost like an ode to pitbull right about a bean bottom ooh mr. worldwide in the room I like the idea here like you know that is art that's well over art Edna the pit bulls huh Art's lost I like the idea of having a bean base snack but the problem is I look at the ingredients here they're using red regular conventional fava beans we know that beans or legumes they grow in the ground I mean they're very susceptible to chemicals and pesticides I always tell you all to buy organic beans including organic peanuts for a peanut butter and they're using sunflower oil they're not using expeller pressed sunflower oil if you watch my video as soon as this one is done of the all the cooking oils explained here at Costco we talked about sunflower oil canola oil and veggie oil being highly highly processed highly refined oils and you only want to look for expeller pressed sunflower or veggie or canola this one doesn't have it and for the mesquite barbecue flavor they're putting yeast extract in here that's another word for msg if it chemically made flavor enhancer so once again it's all about reading the labels you guys because from the front it looks good when you look at the ingredients it's not good so I'm sorry art I'm sorry pitbull he's gonna make a list somebody actually on instagram sent me a picture of this from Costco which by the way I love when people shouldn't be pictures of in Costco asking if they're Bobby approved and if you're not following me on the flavor City Instagram head over there every night we do stories and what I'm making for dinner it's a really fun coconut clusters and initially I'm like I'm not gonna prove that it's probably loaded with sugar and really bad ingredients but look at these ingredients a hundred percent organic we're talking coconut pumpkin seeds we got chia seeds and there's only seven grams of sugar for a half a cup it's organic non-gmo so this is actually a Swedish snack that I can totally get behind I'm all about that so thank you for sending me that photo because I never would have seen that anyway this is really cool over here there's not many granola bars that I approve and I'll show you why but this is actually one I like this is called green free granola bars love the box right it looks a very organic and kind of rustic and we look at the ingredients phenomenal almonds pecans maple syrup and honey as a sweetener I would Bob if there was organic almonds and organic pecans but hey what are you gonna do we only have six grams of sugar for one bar so I would definitely crush that whereas right next to it I probably wouldn't crush anything Nature Valley okay this is kind of the stuff that's very commercialized and loaded with bad quality sugar so if you look at the ingredients they're using corn the syrup one of the first ingredients is sowing protein isolate soy protein isolate is not a high quality soy soy source I would never get that we got a vegetable oil in here from palm and canola so GMO highly refined oils here basically a Fisher Valley you want to stay away from let's take a quick break and think today's sponsor of the video thrive market and the reason why I love it because all of my favorite organic all-natural snacks and products I would normally get here at Costco North a grocery store I can get on thrive market for up to thirty percent cheaper than the grocery store once again like always they hooked us up with a promo code down in the description box you can get an additional 25 percent off your first order its 30-day free trial and free shipping using my link worst comes to worst you don't like it cancel after that 30 days but use the link down below thank you as always to thrive market from being a huge supporter of the channel so we start getting to the more like protein style ish bars this one looks like it's legit right come ready like looks serious but we look at the ingredients here once again the first ingredient is soy protein isolate don't love it we have 10 grams of sugar in here but look at this they're actually using milk chocolate for the top and they're using sunflower oil here natural flavoring so this is not something I would approve but actually so I fully expect it to pick this thing up and be like no no good at all but actually the ingredients are pretty good almonds dark chocolate instead of milk so we're not going into like desert land here they do have palm oil which I'm not a huge fan of palm oil is a relatively cheap unhealthy oil unless it's a red palm oil that's the good one but we're only talking about 6 grams of sugar here and much cleaner ingredients than the nature Valley so if you want to have a relatively okay bar this one is definitely gonna make my list just a fig bar all right thank you are do you remember a Fig Newton this when you were kid those were great snack I'm guessing this is the healthy version of that taste okay box looks like it's somewhat healthier but proof is in the pudding of canola oil it's not expeller pressed so it's highly refined natural flavorings one bar has 10 grams of sugar not terrible just a mutant as it has whole wheat flour so I'm gonna say no on this just because the fact that it has it's highly processed canola oil and the natural flavoring but the flavor is actually pretty good okay let's go over here what's that oh yeah I should probably clean up after myself thank you all right all right we talked about this in my original Costco haul video back from last year I'm gonna roast him again a Robert Irvine right you would think the guy who does like dinner impossible he's fit as can be it's a monster in the gym would have the cleanest like most delicious and high-quality ingredients in this bar here but you turn it around number one there's a problem because when there's a laundry list I mean greediness like that it's normally red flag number one and we look at the ingredients here he's got soy protein isolate strike one vegetable oil highly processed two strike two palm oil multi tall multi tall is that stuff that is sugar-free but when you eat too much of it it makes you poop your pants that's a major nono sucralose which is Splenda corn syrup caramel coloring so this this is ridiculous okay I would stay away from that I mean once again go back to the way the label is for the RX bars just a few ingredients no BS that's how you want to roll and then something like kind bar I got a lot of questions about this on Instagram kind bars are gonna kind of be like a maybe for me because we look at the ingredients palm kernel oil but they only have about five grams of sugar per the main ingredients are almonds and cashews which is really good so I'm going to say it's okay but not ideal we can do better than that and then art come down here real quick we talked about this before I don't know how these guys are getting away with this paleo caveman bars totally taking advantage of the Paleo craze right now we turn around and look at the ingredients it legit says right here sugar there's sugar in the chocolate coating sugar is not paleo there's also tapioca syrup which is mortar line not paleo - so caveman paleo bars are not paleo at all and I think like we talked about last time Phil Hartman the unfrozen caveman lawyer would not approve of that that's a lawsuit waiting to happen in this modern world we live in hi this one is jonesing to be on the healthy side right there using buzz words like probiotics which are very similar to prebiotics very good for your gut bacteria the thing is just look at the ingredients here when you get to the yogurt e probiotic pieces which is red flag number one the ingredients are sugar palm kernel oil milk and nonfat Greek yogurt Oh penny positive probiotic effects are going to be canceled by the sugar we talked about this in the yogurt review video when this video is done check that one out we filmed it at Target and pretty much hit every yogurt review to have their I use canola oil that's a no-no and then just looking at all these nuts right here the general rule for nuts is that you want to buy plain roasted or on roasted nuts because when you start buying something like smokehouse which art said he's never heard of smokehouse almonds and yes we do think of risky it when we think smoked cows but I do like smoked almonds the problem is vegetable oil highly processed highly refined they also use a chemical called hexane to extract the oil from the vegetables they do that because they don't want any waste which is why you have to buy expel they're pressed then there's corn multo dextran msg hydrolyzed corn and soy protein so when you're buying nuts do me a favor buy only the regular ones like these hazelnuts are a great deal and on the flip side is macadamia nuts the best prices ever - so actually might grab some of these these my friends are one of the cleanest crackers I've ever seen yes you used to love these and I used to have to buy them at Whole Foods and they're so expensive so I'm really happy to see them at Costco now for $9 for a monster box look at the ingredients it's about as clean as they get nuts seed flours tapioca starch organic sunflower oil onion garlic rosemary just a few ingredients super clean if you want to try though Aikido version of this Dessie has keto everything crackers that are crispy and delicious it's a perfect low carb snack I'll put that recipe down in the description box but uh these are really good but they're not low-carb these are super cool right hip peas organic chickpea puffs and we talked earlier about legumes and very important to buy organic because they soak up those pesticides so organic chickpea flour we're using organic canola oil so it's not highly processed and we find 2 grams of sugar per serving and everything is 100% vegan and has that cheesy flavor this is really good stuff Art's said he would buy this product just upon the name itself off the eatin path art sold but mi so that's the question is it Bobby approved once again it's a chickpea based treat here but the first ingredient is a rice flour rice is not nearly as nutritious as chickpeas we go down sunflower oil does it say anywhere this isn't organic No so they're using a highly processed refined sunflower oil once again you guys just read the labels it's not using high quality oils to bake or fry in it's not good for business resting the ingredients are fine but I wouldn't buy this but I would get those chickpea puffs in a heartbeat so art you're the only one I'm getting this one so pretty you guys heard of cchips it's cool because it's this family here this family is making a muy muy de net or not because this stuff is blowing off because they're green free tortilla mucho dinero Oh Ana gringo they're making grain free trips and it's really nice because people want to have their chips and guacamole but they don't want to have grains keep in mind it's not low-carb but it is corn and grain free why is it not low carb well because of you cassava root flour cassava is hugely popular in South America but it's very starchy and it's just a few ingredients cassava avocado oil coconut flour chia seeds and sea salt they also make nips that are dairy free and gluten free and they're absolutely delicious so these are fantastic I would scoop these all day long a perfect keto snack here whisps I don't know like the name whisps it's just basically a cheesy crunchy parmesan cracker there's only a couple ingredients Parmesan cheese no that's the only idiot it's Parmesan cheese it's baked into a cracker great for dips if you want low carb great to crumble on salads they also make this one here which is cheddar and Parmesan great ingredients too skinny pop we talked about this in the target haul video so popular but I advise against buying it because even though there's just three ingredients organic popcorn oh wait that's organic sunflower oil now okay wait I take everything back this used to be made with non-organic sunflower oil now look it actually has organic sunflower oil which is really important because it's not highly processed and highly refined I could have swore maybe they actually art saw our video they're like wow this is not on Bobby approved list and they changed it up so skinny pop is approved alright how about that but let's stick in the popcorn theme I love these names here look at this boom chicka pop and the stop here was the other one about it bottom boom but I don't know mr. robot I don't know something like that this one though is a no for two reasons number one it's not organic popcorn so organic corn is a way to go is it non GMO it is non GMO so that's good but they're using a conventional sunflower oil and way too much cane sugar 2 cups serving has 8 grams of sugar so I understand it's supposed to be more of like a sweet base popcorn here but this is a no because of too much sugar and bad quality sunflower oil but hey skinny pop totally redeeming themselves never seen these before Organic lentil and turmeric crackers and organic sweet potato crap sorry RW RW Garcia no R dubs we look at the ingredients here the first ingredient for both is white corn so he's sneaking a little bit a white corn filler in there then the seat the second ingredient is lentils everything else though is pretty clean organic sunflower oil barely any sugar in here but read the labels cause corn is a cheap filler even though it's non-gmo corn which is good if something says a lentil cracker I'd prefer lentil be the number one if something says sweet potato I prefer sweet potatoes to be the number one ingredient in there okay I think we Conan we did not cover we've saving the best part of this aisle for last alright let's come down here Cheech out on this for the win this is an amazing scoop here it must be a new products I haven't seen it before big bag of seven ounce chitchat erroneous for 679 it's actually hard to find good quality chee-chaw brownies I would love the fact that these were like pasture-raised or organic they're not but it's better than buying the ones from like the convenience store that are loaded with like the cheese the fake coverings this is great because it makes a low carb bread crumb I use chicharonnes and unsweetened shredded coconut flakes to make my coconut shrimp with sriracha dipping sauce and it's great because it's crunchy and it's ashli delicious there's just a couple ingredients here pork rinds coconut palm sugar so I like the fact that they're using coconut sugar instead of refined sugar but there's a tribute it doesn't even make the nutrition list here so this is fantastic that recipe for coconut shrimp for keto I'll put in the description box fantastic and then there's still one more aisle here there's so many snacks here why did I think of the ad you have to review every single snack here at Cosco we're gonna be here forever this is actually pretty good the Kirkland Signature protein bar like what it says it says one gram of sugar the reason why they're using stevia how cool is that right they're using a little more of a premium ingredients Navia being that herb from South America that is sugar-free but way sweeter than sugar and perfect for the keto diet they're not using any soy it's a milk and whey protein and the ingredients are pretty dang good there's natural flavorings which I don't love but here's how you calculate check this out you guys here's how you calculate the macros for this bar even though like hey there's 23 grams of carbs ah subtract 15 there's 8 subtract the erythritol or the sugar alcohol 4 so it's before net carbs per serving fantastic I would totally scoop these and crush these for a snack or before the gym or after the gym that's pretty cool all right this is a monster bag on veggie straws but I'm gonna tell you to stay away from this because there's basically no and low nutritional value veggies in here potato starch potato flour and corn starch are the first ingredients there's a zero nutrition in those things they're also frying these in canola oil highly processed highly refined so it's a very misleading label because there's really no veggies in here so I would pass on that all right here's a few more snacks from the aisle closest to the register art and I are not daring enough to go up there and film but this is really cool check it out mini beef sticks from country Archer and they're 100% grass-fed beef no sugar at all this is a fantastic paleo keto snack but on the flip side would be the Kirkland steak strips I like these because they're soft it's not like tough like jerky but there's a lot of brown sugar in here and there's yeast extract that chemically made flavor enhancer like MSG they use processed canola oil here it's not a high quality beef so I wouldn't get that one very popular also are these Dukes smoked shorty sausages I love that name it's cool but the problem is I don't know the quality of the pork they're using here it's probably like factory farmed pork which unlike pasture array is 100% grass-fed beef is nowhere near as good in terms of quality nutrition and good for the environment they're also putting caramel coloring in here which I don't love but I know some people really like these and the price here is great and then i saw this snack pack here snack pack you know I love my snack really Madison I mean come on you anytime you can drop that you do it this is really cool it's right by the register 100% organic very very high quality ingredients here I would crush this and it's prepackaged here on the go great for kids great for planes that's really really good so alright that is it family art and I just rocked the Costco snack hall like but hey we're gonna put a pull-up right here can you vote and let us know what kind of video you want to see coming up because we knew these videos for you and we'll judge the next week's video all about the
