tonight on Kitchen Nightmares carry-all you shall run oppression like that stuffing service for the first time ever Chef Ramsay takes on a Mexican restaurant this is the burrito here looks like someone's been sick on my plate where the food is being made for the masses for the expecting 2004 dinner but eaten by cue the owners patty I'm disgusted Yolanda efforts Joe and managers system boys seem to be on a siesta look at them and only wake up when they argue with each other I don't even know what could make it worse at this point what do I do now where do I go think I'm this fault from giving up could this be the one that leaves Chef Ramsay speechless I never thought it was going to be this bad maybe I'm too late [Music] West Nyack New York 30 miles outside of New York City an eclectic town that lies west of the Hudson River West Nyack is home to Vick and Yolanda Florence who previously owned another Mexican restaurant that failed they wanted to try again but didn't have the money so they asked Yolanda's daughter patty to use her credit and savings I'm 100 percent owner on paper but my step father BIC controls everything she listened to me he didn't listen to my daughter he does whatever he wants to do we have to discuss the problem cause the problem we go on and on I thought this was a big opportunity but from day one that turned out to be a disaster initially we were busy and then after a while it just the number sort of dwindling is it normally just so I said maybe we should make some changes and he said everything's fine I've been thinking of changing the menu above my husband say people like it for how many people we spent so much time just looking out the window staring at each other how many tables are there you know fingers what can we do to bring people in it's like the blind leading the blind he always think about his wife he'll decorate the way he wants to it looks like tijuana threw up in here yeah the stuff chili pepper that he moves around named Manuel make fun of it the most up bothers me is that my daughter has run her credit I have to go cover a bounce checker of something she has problem in her marriage I just feel very guilty that I put patty in this position I never thought it was gonna be days but I realize it was bad we can't pair like this I resent my mother I think she put her husband before me and it's hurtful really concerned about is what's happening to your daughter how did it start because it's honest blurring for me my career was messed up so we use party for credit tell she was really clear yeah you've destroyed your daughter's credit because now she has no choice I mean yes you know in the I know sometimes I can sleep at night do the fake I know but it's different now you know no before you goes on the menu tonight that's what I wanted to do I couldn't do it because of these that were here look at them I'm so sick to my stomach I want to throw up because I have coffee here earlier I don't know then what went through my cup I didn't know about this problem either two dishwashers to prep cooks who's cleaning around here do they seriously put food on those plates fix here seven days a week I don't know how he didn't realize the problems in the kitchen can't you see these I'm trying to move forward I'm trying to get going but every time I put my foot on the ladder I get knocked back did you know this was like this ain't not if they'd known it but yeah we're gonna have to do something we cannot open I need an exterminator here Hackl is starting attempting to cook when the place is fester with cockroaches I didn't expect this I don't think it could get worse I don't even know what would make it worse at this point enter Chef Ramsay's dirty discovery he immediately called in an exterminator yeah these were that bad lot yeah I'm pulling my hair out now I'm sorry but you're running the place sorry you's a stupid where do I go Vic opium buyers with Joe Brown yes I don't think that uh we can make it and a restaurant you can't run up fresh and like that I think I'm not I'm burning you should be embarrassed I'm not putting one foot in that place into that place is all depression that I have right now in the restaurant and everybody picking everything about me you know he always thought he was right now he finally knows all these mistakes very sorry very sorry I determined than ever we are not giving up to understand we cannot give up tonight we're going to open the place has been cleaned we're prepping up now and in under 2 hours time we'll be in a position to open up and then we work it together yes sure yeah are you going to listen yes [Music] due to last night's shutdown Chef Ramsay was unable to experience a normal dinner service tonight with the old food a thing of the past he can finally observe the staff at work tonight it's all about fresh food everything we prepped this morning we cooked tonight fresh yes fresh what is it louder you may be on the top of the broiler when was the last time the boiler was cleaned the chips that now is there grace you know and it's like it's places have Oh what are you gonna do when it's crowded in these people waiting outside she's unbelievable what happening when was the boiler cleaned last gentleman if he tells me finally one more time I'll boil it every Sunday might ask Zeus out of control I mean you go I'm for that fish you see I've got four chef's that can't cook rice soot all over the food why is going on me he's supposed to put salt on the food not cert boy these guys one can't clean one can cook rice I never imagined how bad this restaurant was doing I don't know what else could happen I cannot come to terms of what the happening [Music] on the heels of another dreadful dinner service Chef Ramsay knows he's running out of time to save this restaurant hard day today what we took tonight couldn't even afford to pay for the staff that's how it is every day tonight is a perfect example that you're digging yourselves a bigger hole we're tightening the noose around our necks I I've never been in this situation before I now I'm gonna start taking drastic measures we need help a the help with the kitchen in good hands next Chef Ramsay reveals the work his design team did to modernize the restaurant oh my god come through that's freaking through now look at it we've got rid of the clutter the ugly white banquet of chairs have gone look what you can see now when you look down through there it's not just perfect look on the tablecloths the shutters beautiful all that crap got off the ceiling the walls have been done stunning now you have one beautiful Mexican restaurant Terrence is unbelievable I can believe that if you work all night to do all this I used to get dizzy walking in here used to turn my stomach and I feel calm and it looks like a place you'd want to stay and hang out and spend some time look at it I love my new neighbor Asian I love my church I love my new place thank you very much I just want you to run it yeah with your wife with your daughter and run it as a team that's all I want I promise to you after this no more mistakes thank you for coming appreciate having updated the look okay Chef Ramsay moves on to the most significant change in his master plan for saving the restaurant we've brought in an expert for the kitchen we've revamped the dining room and now the most important change that will be significant in turn this business around and that's the menu do you like the new cover no good because that's what it's not going to be there we go that's what their menus going to be simple elegant easy to read easy to control and maintain consistent standards have a quick look I'm very excited I'm happy beautiful minute read over the menu I'm gonna spend some time to kiss you in Juliette yes okay in order to ensure a successful relaunch chef Julieta stays on top of everything and everyone in the kitchen this crispy enough so we like to have a crunch on year round but I want down over top of them [Music] I honestly never ever expected to be here tonight a relaunch night what a week the tough is so far so now they have to pull it off total good things about the restaurant especially by the food for the first time since it opened Fiesta sunrise is functioning properly but they have one more hurdle to clear before the night can be considered a success thankful yeah great Frank so he's arrived within its night great fantastic we had the honor of having a local mayor visit us a little nervous cuz I wanted him to enjoy our new food and recommend it because it's some exposure locally hello the unions thank you for coming can I offer some appetizer we'll get one of each application okay Zig make sure that man's okay make sure he has a jolly time whether to taquitos appetite there it was excellent food we had a great evening tonight I would absolutely come here again thank you with dinner coming to a close and the mayor satisfied Fiesta sunrise finally saw a glimmer of hope can you believe we've made it this nice yeah it's sold like know where to begin Thank You Chef Ramsay you came to me as a gift because I was really at the end of my roll and he brought back happiness between all of us and I can never thank you enough [Music] I honestly never ever ever thought we're going to make it to tonight you know that everybody had to wake up to get where we are now yes yeah and Vic Vic Vic Vic after all the mistakes you made and all the crap you're telling me tonight you were great I was impressed with your performance tonight at the end it's that was nervous DT was all the customers everywhere they given it good compliments about it forth good I was like so happy the first time since I write I got to see your passion and your hunger to keep this place alive that's what is gonna take and I'd like to say that tonight would not been of any significant improvement without the help of Julieta thank you for the attack you're welcome we're doing this to give this place hope we all need to work as a team and as a family do you letter thank you personally thank you Thank You Reverend eat okay go back a week when I arrived I think Nova's in the right place signs with grill 303 that we can understand what the hell was going on here I thought what I Drive too late okay come outside now when we walk was it cold yet the photos captures make sure it stays up there over there yes to sunrise this way that's right in front of the mall every day 25,000 cars go past this restaurant how could all those people drive by every day for 18 months and you not take advantage of that are you mad I'm happy everybody drive past here tonight saw that I'm not kissing you this is my American dream and I think
