bramble thanks to bombas for sponsoring this week's episode early handmaids tales been out for like weeks and we just missed it when we were on tour oh I know that you guys know that yeah Becky's know that you got home I don't want to show its back yeah yeah it's like seven episodes out and Ariel's like did you know this I was like no I've been on tour oh my god we've missed it I had no idea well welcome to the tripod we are the try guys you got Zac hey you got Ned what's up you got Keith yeah and Eugene's out again he's at Lollapalooza heaven any time of his life oh yeah so Myles B is hanging out with us in the big boy chair yeah we're talking about a lot of stuff today we're talking about Keith's $2,000 chicken finger mistake oops we've got actually we've got a bunch of cute stories so maybe we'll figure out one to throw the net to because I didn't plan anything I got one for you but but first we're talking about the tour one more time because there's so much life that we're realizing that we missed we we talked about this a little bit last week where we're back from two months this whole summer we've been on the road and we'll get to a secret in a second but let's just start they're like holy [ __ ] we missed the whole world I didn't realize so what else did we miss we're reimagining from a tomb literally because there's a mesh on a tomb in the behind it does feel like you miss a lot of like the current events and you like hear about stuff kind of in passing from like fans but you don't we don't watch TV you check Twitter so you see like the biggest things email sort of really just just prioritizing like the two things that you really need to read there's one day where Ned was watching Robert Miller talking to Congress I'm like huh yeah I hadn't heard anything about it I no idea I was so out of the loop I felt terrible I get those news digest stock bite-sized information actually this is a funny thing that I've been on tour my I was saying you so many photos in bed that my phone was constantly at the full capacity of memory so I started auto I have it set where it automatically puts apps into the cloud so like I don't have news on my phone I would then sometimes like to open Instagram would have to go and like delete old things just to make enough current memory that's funny yeah I'm well I have an older phone I just last time I bought a phone I was like you know what [ __ ] max it out brah this was the max max it take a lot of photos I do I hear your media machine I know and I never remember when we did the time analysis study six hours on both Instagram and Twitter individually that's a lot hour but how many photos do you think I have that's a whole season of big little eyes 60,000 no not that crazy I 4,000 I fifteen that sixteen thousand photos do you keep them all on your phone like you don't offload them yeah let's not talk about that no no I back that up every now and then but I like being able to access the memories here and now right like I don't want them in the somewhere else I when I'm here write them now but but what if you break your phone in the toilet yeah now I'm [ __ ] if you delete old text messages or do you keep them on your phone forever I try to keep as many as I can forever same yeah yeah I want to I want to see that I want to get them receipts I'll tell you I had two in my other memory is like okay well I guess there's a setting where I can delete messages after a year and that's a bummer when you go to tape when you go to text a friend and you've seen nothing and you're like oh my god we haven't talked yeah do you have facebook which does keep everything and then you're like oh that was the last four seven years what about when you go to text somebody and the last thing that you were talking about was either you ignoring them or like a weird conversation like well now I can't text you the thing right above it is yeah go back I only want to keep all of the messages from me and my wife until all time and then everything else you can delete after like a day or two so Maggie has all of our text messages on her computer messages so like g1 ver this was very early on dating so it was only like a few months to scroll back but she like went back to the very first text messages she ever sent we ever sent to each other and made fun of me it was good well I'll tell you guys wes is walking now he's like full-on walking let's talk about that he's running a little bit I don't know if I told this on the pod you did oh okay well this was a big deal yeah okay yeah so wes is walking I you know the story I remember I was like oh we got one yeah oh yeah so I was so worried about missing a milestone I knew that he was in this like hand-holding kind of like you know a miles don't I I didn't get it and I'm not even gonna go well I was I was there when he took his first step really gets under my skin and that's why he does it Here I am telling beautiful heartfelt I say one word that just happens to have miles in it you just suddenly derail it was really like zero to 60 miles per hour and would we do it for that we do it anytime we say miles Jesus really I'm trying to do one for Zach now but I can't cuz yes I will say when people say exactly in public I tooked you turn my head right exactly so Wes is taking us first oh this is very sweet story have the confidence you know we we love the story well Matt was so worried about missing a milestone and we were about to go back on tour this was our July 4th break yeah yeah I was I was really worried it's like we're gone for a month what what what little tiny things would I miss cuz he he's like babies they development so much in just one week he can go from like you know walking to just drive in a car 60 miles an hour and so I knew that he was about to walk any day now he would walk with holding hands he would walk one step and then he would fall over alright what a day it would happen to be there and then Here I am I going to it but we had a July 4th break we went to Barbara and we had this beautiful family weekend at the beach it was really fun but then I had to go back on tour and two hours before I had to leave for the airport it's like a switch turned and he suddenly was walking all over the place is awesome it was awesome it was amazing I was there for that moment he was just walking it slow he went from 20 it's not like they just it's not like this gradual thing where I saw five steps which flip and suddenly he knows how to balance did you ride a bike like you go from not being able to do it and then suddenly you're fine and that you can total yeah did he look proud of himself like every did it yeah I think was he like he was excited and so now we then I went away for two weeks for the rest of the tour and now I've come back and he's like full water he can do squats you do jumping jacks you got a right into CrossFit I mean like he's been back flipping like crazy all around the good job but seriously he can walk he can turn around he can like squat down squat up he can walk over small barriers like a you know like a doorstep it's Wow he can go down steps while holding a hand it's like it's like in two weeks he's suddenly went from like baby's first step to like parkour that's awesome what's crazy or two is that we actually changed our flight like with 24 hours before then so the original flight that we were supposed to be on you would have know one of her steps I know and we changed it because we like flying out of Burbank yeah right side note was we got to see baby's first steps let's see if I have a video here this was from just this morning no Keith you have to describe it so Wes is looking adorable little cherub face let's talk about something else I'll bring up a video in queue well I want to talk more about our our first week back but first we got some secrets you rate us five stars in the iTunes Store we you give us a secret and then we read the secret on the air we changed your name it's a little fun thing we do just for us go ahead miles well thank you so much for going on there and reading this five stars we really appreciate it this is a really saucy little secret can I get a fake name Keith Bonnie Ireson Bonnie iris indecisive Planet I just say whatever words coming out of my mouth Bonnie is weird realization one of my mom's friends is named Cindy and I realized I haven't met a youth named Cindy ever huh I've only the only Cindy's I know were born before 1965 I don't know any young Cindy's here's the first known video of West's walking oh he's walking but he does he does that bowlegged like squat count I'm sort of like waddling but now two weeks later he's like whoa stepped on a tablet I am I'm reading a book about brains and it very hilariously causes childhood a problem because it's like that it was a solution for heads being able to fit like through the canal but like then the problem it created is childhood where we are totally ill-prepared for life and underdeveloped it is it's written very funny okay we'll cut that out you know fully formed human just plopped out anteater that's what every other animal is jeans and a t-shirt more you know it's smart it's just funny to see childhood listed as a problem because like that's like in the realm of evolution it's such a burden to our species to us I mean you're looking at a new father that spends a lot of time caring for his kid and I love it but imagine if I was a caveman and I had to spend every hour of my day killing boars and making fires be caring for a kid would be tough yeah I guess us finding things cute is just evolutions way of tricking us into caring about a thing yep yes that's true yeah all right miles here's what that secret all right Severson Bonnie not Iverson I arson as an iris okay I was no I was oh yeah just yeah yeah Bonnie writes so when I was little I used to love to draw and read stuff about people who were sick to my young innocent okay okay normal mmm-hmm to my young innocent mind I only knew I found those two those types of things very interesting and I didn't know why I liked it so much well everything changed around the time I became a teenager I did some research on the internet and listed some videos and discovered I have a full-blown sneeze kink Oh people sneezing it just turns me on oh yeah I still don't understand it completely I just know that I find people who sneeze a lot god pepper pepper I've never told anyone about this and people don't want to sneeze right now I have a question we named the person Bonnie but do we know if this is a man or a woman I'm just curious Bonnie let me check it look it doesn't say I think it sounds like a girl but it could be a guy that miles big I don't know would you say that why would you say that a little freak like a girl girly I'd love to draw and read [ __ ] that's for chicks imagine you're like hey this could only happen in college when you're just sleeping with someone you don't know and all of sudden she's like can you just just sneeze for me sneeze oh okay ketta is back Keith you're so fast [Laughter] the pepper challenge the pepper sneeze challenge the pepper sneeze boner challenge sneeze when I'm like cooking with pepper because when you like put spices into a hot pan a lot of spices rise I'm gonna steam and they go in your face you know I don't like pepper makes me sneeze I didn't question it when you went to get pepper but that is the thing in cartoons right pepper makes people say he's going his nose in the boy everyone watch this and see if we pop boners yeah that's cuz it's performance anxiety keep just relaxing I just know that Bonnie cannot get off unless you shove that pepper up your nose I will say my biggest complaint about this podcast is that people can't get off to it so yeah I would like to correct that today knows in the fall I just just like what if you put your nostril upside down and do the pepper shaker directly oh yeah by the way you're a good-looking sneezer Bonnie we adore this secret because I've never encountered anything like it I have no judgments just just amazement oh oh here it goes no just I get it a little bit my favorite is like anticipation then just a rush yeah do you think it's just the sound of the sneeze or the visual of things I totally was like part of the like wanting to get off on about popping balloons it feels very similar you never know when it's gonna happen and then when it does so excited I'm sure certain I've told this story before but my biggest fear in life I'm a big allergy season victim is sneezing while driving on the highway oh it's terrifying it's not good it's so scary sneeze you have no choice your eyes are closing right there half a second and who knows and it happens it's hard to keep your hands in the same spot yeah I'm a violinist these are bullet this is terrible wow that's a wonderful mansion if you are awesome yeah when we were in school if you wanted to be cool you had to be up on it you had to have your pokemons cards you had to have your Pokemon video game basically anything Pokemon for where's this coming from welcome back Keith that was fun that's a fun a real fun exciting moment yeah I couldn't find the pepper at first and I was like I only have red pepper flakes I really don't want to put those alright Wow well this is our first week back and it I don't know about you guys we haven't gotten to talk in the air well I feel left out now should I give a sniff no will never stop sneezing you know if you think you're gonna sneeze if you look upwards at light it helps your sneeze helps you not that is a thing every time I leave yes sunlight it makes me sneeze I thought I was allergic to the Sun you're a Sun sneezer I'm definitely a Sun is nicer it sounds like a slur and like a fantasy it dirty sons we don't serve snugs Jesus yeah you take your sons sneezing and get out of here yeah I am I definitely always have been me like if you walk out of like a restaurant or a grocery store and it's a bright day and the Sun is going you just sneeze yeah just go for it Victor Suns nisa the greatest pirate this world has ever seen what do you think Sun sneezers profession would be well yeah looter is they work for the to kill the darkness I don't know where I'm going and they use like instruments actually you guys are Cho with Victor as the first name I just yeah that's good these powers would play Victor Sun sneezer Timothy Shaw Marlon Brando now did you say Timothy Olyphant image Alamo but oh wow very different Timothy yeah they get put put some lbs on Timothy Xiaomei so he's not a little shrimp in fact Timothy shot me could be why a yeah type of mmm you know I'm saying mm-hmm like you know I'd like to see Timothy Shaolin I put on some weight I'd be curious about that don't you controversial Timothy what to do with his body I'm right like good girl and this boy needs to bulk up he's got a tight you know we live in 2019 yeah okay I just like I feel like I mean like Timothy has had a really rough life I handed to him well any of these celebrities look like I have the year saying names like the guy in the boy and they got it's like you know what it is yeah but I don't know people are the main boy that doesn't help me nobody looks IG he's got with the curly hair and what was a wonderful actor Danny I'm proud of them my favorite but I don't know anything about him he's like 19 19 1712 and I thought he went to the same school as someone else and I forget mmm arts my boy so sharone Ian no it was a boy it was a and one of them was really cool and one of them look up right now I'm a sympathy he shall be a high school high school and one of them was they were both this is gonna you're gonna be like oh that's a cool fact NICTA son sneeze Timothy chellamay LaGuardia High School 2013 so second question Ansel Elgort there it is with a shallow male gourd actually as Victor Sunstein out there slaying demons oh [ __ ] yeah it was great bringing the light into the world no he tried to be a pop star no wasn't more of a hit pops I don't know but I I blocked it I like him though he's good I support Anza he's very tall it surprised me look how tall how tall how tall Ansel Elgort he's 6-3 maybe I should be Victor Suns knees no no no well you're gonna have to add some elby's I think I would be better served as being one of the demons he kills ya know your name is you be a funny demon your name is Chester spire filled I'm a demon from the spire realm yeah they use like sneeze powers that's at the sensors do know he just happened he's oh yeah this is slowly becoming our movie sequel he uses the power of the Sun to fight demons so all of his weapons are imbued with sunlight mhm and so when he like unsheath sits like that's cool from the podcast that brought you nasty comes the summer blockbuster hit Victor Suns needs Sun sneezer is it sensed easier since knees he is the Sun snoozer that's right drop the ax it's much cooler at that point now I do want to hear Sun sneeze son sneeze is like an interesting title what's that about oh and yeah I actually hearing son sneeze I definitely want a theme song written by a prominent artist Mumford is an action they've sung by Mumford & Sons and/or the Lumineers yeah I'm fine with either to me them and they they happen to be having a concert at the climax when like him and his love interest who's obviously a immortal yes is that like the credits song or plays during the movie both all at the whole time is never stopped playing it's a hundred and twenty minutes of the nonstop mumford action yeah I always when you hear the songs that like people sing about the movie in the credits I always feel like they should have just played it in the actual movie yeah oh yeah I'm always bummed by that unlike the Men in Black song Amen black somebody Will Smith shooter just gone up in in in the movie yeah there's definitely enough montage moments right I just put that in yeah I rewatched Goonies on on the airplane and they have Cyndi Lauper who made the song Goonies are good enough it literally is just playing on MTV like on the TV in the movie oh yeah that's cool what's that movie with Denzel Washington where he's like a gangster bringing it what for any day no no air can get gangster yeah the trailer song is amazing no love in the heart of the city and they never play it once in the movies about like the trailer song I was like yeah I like google it the bad version of the bad version of that people forget is the opening of back to the future is a nightmare they play this Huey Lewis and the news song like seven times and the movie refuses to start they just keep playing a Huey Lewis song yeah I've seen it recently - yeah it goes again and again and though Huey Lewis in the news Huey Lewis and the news yeah now that American Psycho yeah Huey Lewis in the news it was a joke that Lou burger could have been called Huey Lewis and the keys yeah I know I should've thought guys did anyone see Hobbes and Shaw last weekend I haven't seen he I'm so amped I wanted movie regreat y'all know i [ __ ] with the rock are you also like Vin Diesel so how do you fell right out this yeah I know that they have a feud but I to me they're both familia yeah what they're familiar I okay alright you want me to drop your backstory yeah all right so the tease so Vin Diesel very controlling man the rock also a big personality they got into some fights on the set of fast and furious I believe it comes from the fact that Vin Diesel is insane like they're just stories of him like he'll just stay in his trailer and we'll be rewriting scenes and will delay the shoot for hours and dqo which like then people like the joke is always like who's writing those movies but he really really cares about every line of dialogue and I love him for it someone like the rock is the busiest man in the world and every second of his time I'm kind of projecting what I assume happened here but as an avid watcher of both I think I am right so my guess is that the rock just doesn't have time for this [ __ ] vs. Vin Diesel who's a true artiste needs the time to find and let the art find him so they had a falling-out that's why they were barely in I got a build and you got a build artsy fartsy time into the schedule I agree what is motivating me to say let's race mother I just don't understand where I'm coming from in this man so so they they fractured the rock into his own franchises in the Fast and Furious universe which i think is a great idea so why did I only drink Corona there's actually so there's a whole Vanity Fair article detailing their feud the comments of the YouTube look of the bike there's a lot here but then the highlight is that the rock posted an Instagram story and he wrote family or the family or Ronan in skin caption saying family's gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs that mean different me conflict can be a good thing when it's followed by great resolution I was raised on healthy conflict and welcomed it and like any family we get better from it yeah I mean fundamental court that's really I bet you one of the core differences is that the rock was like yo I should just be the star of this Shin Vin Diesel's like back the [ __ ] off yeah I don't know if you know this the rock refers to himself as franchise viagra that's true which is the greatest thing you could ever be but look at his track record you come in two franchises that are already existing and/or dying and then just pumps them back to light yeah awesome is it here's another quote I finally watched you munch and Marie's also so good I cannot believe I was waiting you know it will happen I I saw it the first week of movie pass and my dog was barking I'm like oh cool just come back I can leave because who cares it was when he was a very baby puppy and I had very thin walls with neighbors I never went back to watch it yeah I laughed out loud several times and you know who was a great actor Nicky Jo she the lead Nick Jonas oh my god I got a little too tipsy when I watched it the first time I fell asleep in the theater that's so fun here's another quote from de Vin Diesel on the fuse I can't believe we're just doing Vin Diesel the Rockview there's all podcast 20 minutes Vin Diesel said we still love each other that's my boy when I was making that difficult decision should there be an eight or not I called Dwayne and he said brother I will be there shoulder-to-shoulder with you to make sure it's the best movie in history and he delivered at my house he's uncle Dwayne and I'm proud of that Wow yeah but I'll also make nine without you my favorite part of any movie ever made is the end of fast and furious 5 where the or note 6 there's this incredible moment where they stand face to face but instead of Fanning standing face to think they keep walking closer but then they walk shoulder to shoulder staring past each other and in my mind it's like if they dare to look each other's in the eye they'll just start furiously making out yeah it's really it's so much wonderful I mean just the energy the connection passion he's so preposterously ripped the rock he's too big yeah like what do you even do with that he's so much bigger than a bobble probably could use the stand again Timothy shall not be a pro-wrestler which is like it's literally a bodybuilder like show and he's bigger bigger now was when he threw men he's like he's like twice the son he used to like pick people up like and like throw them he like he could like he was one of the like fighters like oh he's strong enough so I could lift one of the Giants like yeah like like the actual giant wrestlers yeah I did have a moment before I did my hair restoration journey I was like [ __ ] I won't ever be cast in a fast and furious movie they're all ball just macho hot bald men it's obvious I'm down for the role I would hi my name is that Cornfeld willing to shave my head why can't you be one of the guys who like works behind the desk in the auto body shop yeah this is like they're in that universe they also can all kick ass that was Ludacris's job he was the tech guy and now he's also Jason Bourne yeah and usually tech guy he was installing radios now he's the world's best hacker you know this is why I adored this franchise so much the first Fast & Furious movie is a high is about is basically a Point Break remake do you know what they're stealing they're stealing our DVD player that is the big like FBI investigation is that they are stealing DVD players and they're doing insane driving stunt to do so wow that is so antiquated and adorable yeah it's so quaint they were margins on that we're expensive remember when my mom came home the DVD player for the first time I was so [ __ ] Jack well you know how much DVD players used to cost two thousand dollars you know it also cost $2,000 classic chandeliers historic theater venues around the country I learned this well actually cause more than that the repair work our cost two thousand dollars because in power no it's an eight-hour workday shut the [ __ ] out I'm not kidding because it's a union theater there has to be a minimum time and minimum amount of people etc etc but back it all the way out okay so in our live show aside from me harassing DJ Khalid another thing that I do is I throw chicken fingers chicken tenders to the audience because Tim Meadows would get pizza with me so I'm showing the world that if they want to eat with me I'm giving them that opportunity in our live show it's this incredible moment of just pure chaos it's Keith asks who wants to eat fried chicken I bring out two or two sometimes four buckets of fried chicken I'm somewhere between 75 and 125 chicken tools go [ __ ] nuts it is bonanza it is people jumping out of their seats it you've never seen anything like it and what I love about it too is that it's something that we discovered during the tour right we the first show we did something totally different for the first what four or five shows three or four yeah and one day Keith just goes you know I kind of just I think people just actually want to eat fried chicken with me what if I don't like I just throw it it so the first show we did I actually just handed out one bucket of fried chicken a piece but I remember that and I just walked through the aisles and I threw one piece only one piece to the balcony and someone in the balcony caught it and I'm like boss and it was magical and I was like oh wow that's it that's the moment the next show I was like let's get chicken tenders because I can't be throwing bones and I was like maybe I'll just stay on the stage and I'll you know it came from like we're really designing the show like we had a part where Zach goes into the audience I didn't want to steal that energy of going to the audience of the first time right up top so I'm like what I need to do something interactive but I'm gonna stay on the stage and I'm gonna just throw Fried Chicken at everyone when also every night we got tweets that someone either got pegged in the face or in the chest with chicken and they were thrilled so yeah so I'm throwing chicken so every show basically after I've sung and danced in all this jazz I'm just hurling chicken tenders I actually had Zack come in halfway through the tour cuz there were so many was taking too long and I just like weirdly that I was a nerd she was still hot in the room for the entire six minutes it took me to throw checking about like this is too long it's just taking too much time I'm changing and I look backstage and like it's three minutes into the segment and there are still people standing up crazy amount of time we also we never tell any of the venues that we're doing this no and this and we're in the most classic theaters across all of America antiques antiques yeah a beautiful theater stagehands love it yeah so the thing is that in these classic theaters and we had such big audiences that we had people in the balconies yeah and I was like it's so much fun for me from stage to throw pieces of chicken hundreds of feet into the balcony and like I got really good at throwing chicken tenders I learned how you throw them because they don't throw like baseballs they throw like chicken tenders so you really have to think about how you can throw it you got to basically hold it and send it your fist and throw it like a rock because it flaps it like it's you know it's loose it's chicken and if it's been sitting and been too long it steams so the skin will fall off it makes a huge mess but anyway I just got really into throwing it really far as Zach would throw it down to the the lower audience and I would pretty much only chuck it to the top to the back I'm throwing it as hard as I can would you try and like spiral it like a football and some little rotation action some we're spiral Bowl somewhere a little flat so I threw a more like ninja star Sirians perhaps or no essentially so there were different styles of chicken but I figured out how to throw them all and I've been doing this for 15 ships by the time we get to the Shubert theater in Boston and I'm great at it I'm tossing I'm throwing it's really one of them became one of my favorite parts of the whole show but Boston was sold out and had two balconies and the nature of the balconies was set so that they were a little bit closer because there were two balconies and I was like I can get it to the top alka that's awesome so I'm just chucking it as hard as I can to the people who are the furthest away and also like it's straight up so it's not just another one hundreds of you and throw hundreds up so I'm fighting gravity I'm throwing as hard as I can and on the second to last tender that I have I'm like I only got two tenders left I gotta get it to this balcony I know I had thrown it the whole time and I'd hit the the barrel I hit it like maybe three times I got it to Sony in the balcony I'm like no I got to get at least one more up there and I rare back and I'm throwing it like a pitcher I'm like fully leaning back using my leg as a lever and then whipping my body for I'm doing arm stretches before and after this segment I'm committing to this bit and it flies beautifully forward and it just starts veering way right flies straight into the classic chandelier that is on the ceiling it is high up there and it hits one strand and all of us collectively hold our breath who is one strand disconnect swings and swings across and just as pendulum being above the audience you know 150 feet in the air there is a a thread of glass it was like the chicken tried to Tarzan swing obvious chandelier some people say that like chicken was stuck in another part of the chandelier because I didn't see you come down I also wasn't looking at the ground afternoon I was know the people who told us that said that during the show they looked up and saw chicken nose so not only did you did you break a classic chandelier he said chicken and there's a chicken and by break what I really did is that you dislike all of these are just hooked on so I just somehow unhooked it it was swinging I did it high up and it's an antique classic like who knows that may be a million-dollar chandelier so old big it's probably at least a hundred thousand dollars and apparently because to fix it and clean it it has to be totally brought down no it has to be oh now I feel this giant rig it's gonna have to be lowered down it's gonna have to have a team of people do it they're gonna have to do it however this is giving them a great opportunity to clean it I bet it never exactly filthy and I bet this one has chicken in it a blessing in disguise it's kind of want the chicken to stay in there so it's like the ghost of the theatre yeah you know it's like where I heard this itching up there and that chandelier you know get a whippin Fried Chicken well in these classic theaters all through the back alleys people have signed their names they put their tour posters up I just wanted to have a lasting impression what better way than to lodge a piece of chicken above all the patrons of the shoe boat you know what's the crazy thing to me is that our tour manager was like what we got to pay for and I'm like yeah well we have insurance though we paid all this money for tour insurance yeah he's like well that's not what insurance is for what is insurance for yeah not for the moment when you accidentally hit a chandelier with I think we file a claim and let them tell us that's not with him on that it's like also I didn't mean to hit the chandelier all right then it was a mm a lot of money hurt no one how many chicken tenders you good-bye $2,000 oh my god so many basically actually that incident is what stopped me because what I want to do in Philly was get enough chicken nuggets for every single person in the building but having known that in Boston I just wasted $2,000 I want to propose that but I really wanted every single person not only the audience but the people working the Bema backstage the honest manager I wanted everyone in the building to eat a piece of chicken at the same time and if you were vegetarian I even wanted to like get some like tofu Nuggets yeah you know and just like just have it so everybody could share in this moment because I thought it would be so unique well it was like communion I mean we were like you literally said I'm a fried chicken I also tell them if they didn't get chicken it's okay it's not about the chicken it's right with the chicken represent yeah no and I would say that's sacrilegious others would say just right delicious we had a lot of those like just transcendently weird but also beautiful moments on the tour like a room of 1,700 people taking a bite of fried chicken okay it was only a couple zip it up I think hundreds of people in a room Austin really did a good job because of that moment everything happening I think there were like six to seven hundred people do God crazy cool like the energy in the room to be a part of that is so wonderful and special and we had other moments where oh that like we we got to do my birthday at the Beacon Theater in New York which is the coolest thing that was the biggest show we had on tour it was over twenty five thousand twenty five hundred people twenty five thousand be very different it was a huge room a classic theater we got to be in my home city for my birthday and during there was one part where I came out on stage and they spontaneously everyone in the room just at the same time agreed we are going to sing happy birthday and that was just the most wonderful and special moment of my life don't shoot it was just so cute and then you guys came out and gave me a hug it was really it was really cool it happened to me in New York too at the book signing or God about it it's so sweet when you have all these fans who they know that it's your birthday and they like it's very like it's kind of like a little emotionally overwhelming to have a bunch of people seem to you know it's like what you there it's like I I couldn't I just it was weird and it was awesome honey backstage we were freaking out because we had planned a birthday celebration later in the show we were like oh no not ready they scooped us and so we just sang happy birthday twice yeah well it was great yeah you guys had programmed in a happy birthday in the show and we we had some issues early on the tour where if you like try and change what's programmed it could crash the whole system so about 15 minutes after the whole crowd spontaneously sang happy birthday they had to sing happy birthday again and they did it they are happy to do it twice they were it just confused as we all were it's really weird cuz we're now over a week away from the tour and I have these moments where it it almost feels like this weird dream that I had because our lives were totally different one we were living on the road but every day we would do these big shows where you're interacting with over a thousand people at once uh you know we would we would meet people face to face and we would do meet and greets and everything and I I I'm very prone to I mean it'll talk to you guys about this actually I so I'm curious like I'm very prone to when I go from something where I have a ton of stimuli and and a big crude project and then it's over I get depressed because that thing is over and I and my body mistakes the fact that I'm not doing something constantly with just depression and Logan said all of our touring compatriots were like oh yeah you're gonna be sad after this yeah so I got sick immediately but it's I'm trying really hard this time to practice like self congratulating and an appreciation which is really hard for me but instead of thinking about okay what's next what's the next project what can I do what's gonna be the thing that gets me back there I'm trying to live in this moment and and just reflect on it and say wow I did something really [ __ ] cool which on the one hand can sound like I'm up my own ass but it's I I am really trying to appreciate like we did such a cool thing way to [ __ ] go me way to go us good way to not get depressed you know I'm trying yeah I sometimes will do a big like create a project and then get a little depressed after I will say that I was actually depressed at times on tour but realize I missed my family so much and there's like these weird pockets where you're not doing anything and your schedules all flipped where you basically have these lazy mornings and then it's a whole lot of activity and then it's hard to fall asleep I don't know that just kind of got me down because I'm used to just waking up doing stuff there was some morning so I was like feeling bad about either sleeping in or not did you have I don't know it's weird yeah every little guilt yeah I had guilt just like I should be doing something or I don't know I just there's some times where I felt a little down and maybe it was on a I was experiencing that on a day-by-day basis because the nights are like well it's so exciting than mornings like whoa there's not a thousand people screaming at ya when I got home I just it just felt comfortable it felt natural I'm like here I am I'm back at home this is great yeah oh yeah I haven't been getting down I'm just know I had an idea back home it doesn't my dream though it I can't believe it we really other thing that wasn't a part of my life like I was just living somebody else's life but I guess it was my life because when we were in it it was like oh my god we have ten more shows I can't even imagine what that is and now that it just blinking it's over and I almost can't remember it it I guess you're right it feels very out-of-body I will say it does help knowing that we have two more shows in Australia yeah yeah yeah but we're gonna be in Australia what is it the 23rd and 24th of September September Melbourne and then Sydney following that so there's gonna be a little bit crazy times we're doing back-to-back shows but they gotta fly to do it so it'll be a little crazy those two days but it's gonna be fun I have to they're too far away oh wow aren't they well those are gonna be super [ __ ] dope the tickets are on sale right now so if you're in Australia whatever you just like nearby yeah take a little tug by Dover New Zealand's pretty close right well seems like pop over the pond close enough Live Nation calm die you oh wow is that where you go no I believe so I mean you could also probably go trigers calm yeah I'll say that for me we came back from tour and I you know it was like okay that that's all risk exciting but then I had immediately my first episode of the show that I'm on on NBC the day after we got back that's crazy wait I get it's like so literally back on tour like okay now NBC is tweeting at me very surreal and it's a totally different thing and you know getting to see their performance is pretty awesome they also like used our performance on all the social handles too like before the episode even aired it was on their IG TV it was on their Twitter it was on their Facebook that was on their YouTube and BC then put it on their Facebook and Twitter like that organically tweeting it from their own handle so that's like super huge very exciting and it's weird because I did all that literally the month before the tour is when we were shooting everything yeah and we're like shooting that and I'm also like trying to get ready to like produce all the music for the tour so in a very our music was coming out what was coming it was like very crazy but also musically because I'm doing comedy music I've been doing comedy music for so long to be competing on a show doing comedy music while simultaneously writing and producing the comedy music for our touring show it was like I got lost in so much music it was really great and now I'm like good at French horn again because we played it at every show so I'm like I'm pretty good and like halfway through the tour I was like oh I remember all the stuff I used to play in like solo and ensemble like competitions I could play Mozart's concert Rondo I'm you're playing the Lord of the Rings theme oh yeah beautiful away as a quick timeout because there's so many stories that you have being on a timeout in which we figure out what the [ __ ] we're going to talk about next because you have so many stories about being on a reality competition show and I want to hear about it but miles did you just do that little finger thing that you do when a okay so for the second time in a row we will let me give you this the I wanna hear all the story from the first episode okay which really I think paints a picture of how stressful and anxiety written these conversations can be I had a great time actually on the show however the first day of this shoot or the first shooting day so you have all these days are you doing all the rehearsals and stuff for the day that our episode air or shot for this first episode we were like we got the call sheet it said okay we have to be here at a certain time we had to get there in the morning and they're like we got there like Luber getting the hair and makeup and costumes right now you're gonna be first to tape we're like awesome we're first okay oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ] oh no they send us to the the vocal cord coach you just get your it's not really a vocal coach in the sense that he warms up before it's more he actually clears your voice of [ __ ] that's gonna sound bad on their microphones so like he basically gave us insane lozenges and other stuff that like open our sinuses to this maximum space well bizarre we did all that we've gotta the costumes gotten hair makeup and then they're like okay we're a quick production meeting right before we shoot the first episode everybody here so here we're doing like okay also we just changed the running order a Lube record going last so you get all this anxiety you get prepared we got our voices warmed up our hair is perfect our suits aren't perfect we're like ready to go and then like okay you'll actually go on in about two and a half hours because that's the pace of shooting a TV episode so it was awful emotionally because we were so ready to go we're so warmed up and now we have to keep our voices in a perfect place for two and a half Wow would you use not like talk we like barely talk to we just drank throat code tea that's all the time and like just tried to stay hydrated and tried to like not think about it but you can't not think about it because you're watching the other people so you're kept in this cold stage next to the main stage and you're watching the other competitors on the TV but they turn off the audio and they get judge feedback so you can't know how things are happening but you can judge by the phases kind of yeah so we're just watching we're just watching everyone else compete and they're all great yeah no no they're all great which is great for the show but there's scary for you to go last because you're going last they do things like to kind of mess with you right they keep asking you the same questions over and over and over again they kind of I mean it's not really the message I think it's just producers trying to get the sound bites they want okay but they do ask you a lot like sounded like they were [ __ ] with you when you told me it does I don't think they're ever [ __ ] with us I think they're just trying to get the correct small soundbite but to you it feels like yes I'm of course I'm excited to be on the show and yeah I'm very excited to perform for Jeff Fox really that sounds great like no I don't I hope I don't mess up on stage yeah I mean and you have to do all these little interviews like the second before you go on not just like before you go on literally backstage while the notes are giving being given to the performer in front of you you're doing a little to camera interview about how excited you are Wow and you're like it was a big live audience - it was a big live audience I was stressed and I really don't get nervous for me no I'm just you never I've never seen you nervous visibly I was nervous because we're about to sing and we're on stage with a bunch of fog five makes a little bit harder sing we didn't have any Regis had stage monitors we had a soundcheck the day years or not the day of so you just have to trust that the sound people saved it which of course they didn't so the monitor is not exactly as good as we need it to be we also had a lighting plot that was only rehearsed once so it's like very nerve-wracking because you basically live and you you you're you know 50% prepared on the technical end but a hundred percent prepared on the you know if anyone hasn't watched the show first of all what it's like it's not just a singing or a comedy competition show it's like these fully produced numbers and yeah I totally I yeah I'm based on the things that we've done that are produced Lee idea of not knowing if the lighting or whatever is gonna be at the right place at the right time is lore if you're like how your mics are balanced even you don't hear how your balance until you start singing and like I I think that the show is pretty well mixed but I think it could have been mixed a little better but you know it's being live mixed so they're just doing what they got but it was it was really great and we obviously advance to the next round are you what is it next 13 the Tuesday the 13th is I think when we're on round 2 around 2:00 alright well we'll talk about more because I want to hear what Keenan's like in real life what does he smell like are his hands soft and then also just the idea of being on a reality show is totally fascinating it's while but one more thing happened when we were on tour and that is that miles nation is strong and it is thriving and it is growing there were so there was so much custom-made first of all custom made merch everywhere like people got us gifts but people would make their own church which was so cool but there were so many miles nation shirts someone onstage shout it out shout out to miles nation and I realized it's because it's the only branded thing on this podcast we don't have a name for our followers at all we don't have anything else that's unique except for miles nation yeah so we're gonna maybe you guys will be the the try poodles the tripod poodles first ones in all residents of nasty Ville I gotta figure out some something else cuz I'm gonna try and compete for your heart it's gonna be the try poodles verse smiles nation the nation strong it's really strong and I I'm getting a little jealous over here but at this point in the podcast miles they're they're like five people shirts were on the tour let's say let's say 330 people were tweeting me cuz there were a lab yeah I mean we only saw the ones that mean this is the coolest one that I saw keith has this really insane rock and roll eyeball shirt in the tour and someone I don't know who you are but in Philadelphia I saw you in the crowd and someone made his shirt but like how the [ __ ] did they know they saw pictures on Instagram and like leaked videos yeah God played as our tour announcement photo awesome someone cosplay as what Keith wears in the show means you're seeing it yeah but like you know five out of the hundreds we saw it's a percentage they no more than 1% of them because my bit is that I like to put down I will say it's been a wild ride and I'm ready to be cancelled so next advice is gonna be raunchy well guys miles told me to freeze my grapes do you know how big of a choking hazard Milas nation is socially it's eating well every now and then in life you need someone to turn to you need some advice and then this in this next portion we like to turn to miles the youngest the least experienced to give you sage wisdom this is advice that will go for miles with your host my fault I like presenting now it is my favorite part of the podcast what's up miles nation I'll see you guys later how y'all doing tonight we're gonna get so many tweets about why you guys been like I like this whole bit do you want to be the kindest little sweet guy in your whole house yeah do you want to be as sweaty as Dwayne the rock Johnson oh you know I do as clean as Jason the rock Statham and as kind as Meryl though Rock Street he is my rock take a bubble bath with epson salts Epsom and top of this stopper really big Gipp printer huh people also repeat have been asked people have been asking me how do you stay so clean and so soft and so so I haven't I've been taking Epsom salt baths and that not nightly but once a week at that minimum twice a week at maximum out it's because I've had a sinus infection for a while and I've been trying to get rid of it well that part made me less interested stop up your stopper really big it was that means stop up your stops I mean really really big so you know how in your bathtub you fill it up to a certain amount there's like an auto water drip right right so like it'll get it out there not everybody has that most most times like a drain at the very top most types of a/c tries to prevent you know water damage on the floor - yeah I like this - all bathtubs do almost all that just look again for if it's not if it's not later tonight and I will edit in if I have one but I have like a very weird jacuzzi bath that but if you turn the jacuzzi jet on it just shoots water everywhere so it's a totally garbage it's not you can't use it at all wait so miles are you advocating to stop the I'm advocating yeah copper yeah how do you do that yeah there's an awesome that's not safe there's products you can get well I'm a safe little camper and obviously I'm paying attention when I bathe so here's what you do you can get a little plunger thing that like suctions to the top of those Stoppers the entire goes and you suction it right there under those called if I want to get one you type it up it's called tub suckers oh we don't serve tub suckers hand but you need a deeper bow that's the villains name tub guys Mortimer tub sucka hands filthy played by rich man no I threw him out earlier and it was totally wrong I mean dive for James Corden Wow as a villain I love it I think he'd be a hilarious villain he's like this whole thing is a little tongue-in-cheek he's like the cheat the cherry that the hero's name is sun sneeze yeah these are heroic things oh it's all kind of I feel like Gordon would be great as a church Erie mayor who actually is a huge dick yeah I love he's often in the tub answering the phone but yet you want a deep tub that's what's gonna get you there I cannot recommend enough either epsilen or magnesium when you get deep your little body and then had bath it feels like this like crazy hit of pot frankly I can't believe you take baths you're a giant like me I know it what I feel like when I get in the bathtub I feel like you're trying to put a bunch of hay in a bowl yeah it's like you can't put it in the bowl it's not gonna fit in the balls and spell out all over the ball limbs are too big it's too I am generally too big but that's why you got to get the tub sucker yeah because if you get the tub sucker it's gonna be deeper and you're gonna be able to get in there still crouched well you got to choose our toes that's gonna be one of my legs directly up one of my must-haves when I have a house yeah meet sandy gasps whoa double wide y'all belong basically pool in the house I know the podcast running out but pretty funny quick aside is we renovated our house with this in mind we're like we gotta get the big boy date tub and we ordered this beautiful it was like 70 inches long it's like a big old big old tub because we looked at our architectural designs we're like cool with the bathroom six feet this is gonna be amazing turns out we were looking at the designs from the like middle of the stud to the middle of the stud rather than in there wall to inner wall there's a good like two inches on each side plus the drywall so call it like a even 5 inches and our tub that we ordered did not fit in the size of the bathroom because of this little tiny architectural drawing reading mr. heartbreaking it was heartbreaking you know what I'm getting from this is that sure Kings rule the world I'm great y'all the freaks dumb people suck you I'm great life's built for me yes astronauts at a rush or oh yeah Wow cuz you know you don't want a big tall guy in space you have to build the capsule bigger it's like weight size you can never write on Seabiscuit and I want you to know that that's right cuz never astronaut biscuit would never have yo I would hurt him you know that he really stole the nation's heart yeah yeah good ores well anyway that's the been our podcast no I feel so sad I had advised the day this has been that's all the time we have for today well we'll catch up to you about why I'm awesome next time we have a tour we're coming in Australia come see us we got merch we got a book oh I did you know in the book I wrote about I wrote a joke about not having a bathtub and it was a lie because I thought it was funny and it's a big regret of mine so if you go get the book you can circle that and write zach is a liar and then and then tweet it at me and I'll like it subscribe to the channel check us out on YouTube give us your secret we can do a 20-minute engine on it until next time keith is with the official tripod theme song when you hear us knees it's like a breeze between your knees it is the tripod beautiful [Music]
