you know i have enjoyed my time in japan quite a lot but it does feel really good to be back finally with a good cup of tea oh good god you don't get raising blizzards like that in the uk wait if you're here does that mean yes it's a wacky weekend that's disgusting that's not british too that's filth [Music] previously on wacky weekend chris decided to take me to a luxurious 12 000 hotel experience and i thought i could repay the favor by taking him home a giant village all themed like a british town now many of you might be wondering rightfully so where would there be a giant british village in japan well it turns out just south of fukushima in the mountains buried away as a giant homage to british life i don't know why are you excited to try anything in the british town chris i'm excited for fish and chips there was no fish and chips i'm excited just to be somewhere that feels like the uk oh my god i regret this now let's turn around i don't want to feel anything it's gonna be as tough as your driving going through here chris this is not the best but luckily uh chris has snow tires so should be all right it's these patches here it's like whoa oh keep a steady boy keep her how much is under the snow wow and i'm sure many of you will agree watching this footage it is weird it is like being transported back to the uk all of the houses look exactly like something out of a scenic british film but chris had a little surprise in store for me three two one film it even though i'm still kind of like confused my mind is actually being blown right now that's right it had its very own castle mana inspired thing which is insane the british hills in japan is rather unique is its main clientele are school kids in all schools across japan they're taught english and to kind of inspire the kids they go to the real england quote unquote everywhere in this village you can speak english so it's a really cool way to immerse kids into a authentic british experience without having to go to the uk which if you ask most people online is an absolute win it's like imagine like if you know chinatown is in other countries but like scaled up insanely this is just absurd this is so big even the castle which is like one section is like nothing compared to how much there is in this village this is nuts and this is not small either it is a large area and it has been painstakingly remade to look exactly like something out of the uk for better or for worse and again it's in the mountains in the middle of nowhere in fukushima quite odd just got the key from one big mana over there but now for another manner this is the drake manor where we're going to be sleeping tonight this is going to be a humble abode for the evening and i don't know what to expect it's supposed to be very authentic british but which period like 80s 80s 650 the 16th century and when henry henry viii had his wife murdered i mean it looks nice it looks quaint it looks pretty authentic i don't know there's some places like this around where i grew up pretty busy here isn't it hello no one i do feel like they've heard like chris and connor are coming leave evacuate i'm freezing to death this thoroughly insulting myself and chris it was time to get a room tour after i was done admiring the sound of a door of course i like that oh that's a nice sound oh i think that's nice i missed that good old days oh no what what oh my god okay that's kind of weird going into my granddad's house chris come on come on i feel like i'm in an escape room or something yeah the worst kind of escape room an escape room with connor but the detail is quite impressive right they've got two safers just like whales i don't want to be that guy but i'm pretty sure like my my like cousin had this exact couch and rug i'm naked i'm not joking oh whoa yeah that's definitely your grandma's uh sofa that you go deep in there all right oh yeah okay we have tea a kettle a real one none of this japanese electric pot one though okay what tea have we got here we have english breakfast he's gone straight for the tea british hills pride original blend coffee none of that we're gonna go to the tea and they've only provided four that's kind of a weak showing actually oh with darjeeling and then english breakfast again all right well let's oh whoa a british-sized television this is weirdly like really british that you just put the tv in the most inconvenient place in the cupboard yeah just in the cupboard he had this exact thing and i always thought it was so cool and i was always sad that we had plain white from where i'm standing here it does look pretty damn cool okay like this is spot on obviously if you enter the uk now it's not going to be like this this is definitely like you know retro quite a long target but you would still see some of this stuff lying around in people's houses like this couch you'd see something like that this is very retro i've seen anything like this definitely this rug these types of rugs i still see what do you think of the decision-making table it's not exactly king arthur's round table is it very very small this is this is this is where you would decide which pub you're going to go to receive the fate of a nation victorian style chris ponder's how much free time he should give to his peasants at the round team i don't know there's like a there's some sort of dead plant on the shelf i wish there was something more going on here am i supposed to welsh flag yeah why not after thoroughly examining and ransacking the living room it was time to check out our bedroom for the evening oh god you know when something's too authentic this is really like old style though it's certainly a step up from the uh the worst like the worst hotel we went to only one pillow though but unfortunately you look like you're about to like dive onto it oh oh my god you know why did the house come down connor turned up you know how something's like creepily familiar not at the same time it's weird why is this in japan it's so strange this looks like someone's played too much elder scrolls or too much skyrim and thought yes do that it doesn't how do they get all of this stuff it just looks like the exact same you know how it's british chris the beds are so far away because in the uk people don't love each other that's false so when they sleep in the same bedroom they had to be as far away from each other as possible that's really authentic good night darling yeah so you put on one line you know and then you would sit here and ignore your partner for hours this does feel like a friend's house i had a friend who had like a 14th century style house and it was kind of like this i think people don't realize about the uk that these houses are still around like some people have these houses still they just modernize them a bit there are definitely houses with structures like this that look exactly like this around it's not that uncommon at least where i was from i don't know about you but anyway what's this it is the lion the witch in the wardrobe it's harry potter's bedroom i guess for a really authentic hogwarts experience well chris you found your bedroom for the day what's harry potter's uncle's name dursley uncle dursley oh hogwarts hogwarts this is a cloak oh my god it's a cloak but now i've gone right now i got oh my god this is what my ancestors were made for that is so amazing did you keep burning my letters father i just want to hear about hogwarts you'd be slytherin look at your face that is the face that cleans the bins or something which one does that slytherin how do i look hufflepuff uh you look like a crappy sherlock holmes it's not it's not overly flattering you see magics are not just an art they're a lifestyle this is all a bit weird isn't it chris studied the way of the crisps i mastered them onto the bathroom should we wow that is a bath that is quite the bath i love it when they put those things in the bath i look at myself while i'm taking a bathing oh wow they've got the old kind of telephone things yeah you're gonna use this bath to clean chris i think we all know the only person in this room that's going to be able to use the bath tonight is you every video we do every time we go anywhere or do anything he's the one that gets to sit in the onset he is the one that gets to sit in the bath splashing around on the ferry you're going to be the one in it i like the fact that you can like open the window one look out at the peasants who didn't get the premium luxury accommodation he's pretty he's broken the bed and now he's breaking the window it literally won't open i think they've glued it shut over they have a bidet i kind of hoped it'd be the toilets for the thing is up here and right the chain proper bridge i miss those those are great this does feel like somebody's like stolen your homework but like they've done an impressive job and this is all like this is real wood it's not like that plastic we'll know like in japan when they operate they've got trees in japan where's the trees too when they often replicate things here it's done out of plastic it's done a really sort of tacky way this is real wood and this that's crispy it was dr dickens with the spanner in the library we thought we would make a cup of tea to celebrate oh my god chris you're not pablo escobar what are you doing no i don't oh you don't like dandruff in your tea no why did you wha why are you treating this place like this is all happening so there's a brawl in japan with the spoon in connor's face so they don't normally have normal milk which i like to have milk with my tea and so they have the powder milk i don't really like it it tastes not real but chris loves it because chris is artificial so he loves this that's pretty hard to burn my mouth and i won't be able to taste any food for the remainder of the trip well would you the room out turn in i gotta say in terms of accuracy i'd have to say it's a 10 but i guess do would you normally want to stay in a place like this you know i travel japan a lot and every hotel room is the same every business hotel in japan is sterile and functional but boring this is something different it wasn't that much i think it was like 400 for the night which is pricey but for two people in the middle of nowhere this isn't a room this is more than a hotel does that include dinner and stuff that includes dinner and breakfast so okay it's kind of like the price you'd pay for a traditional japanese in like a yokan so when you factor that in it is worth it the fact that it it's a real room these are all real things the only fake thing in here is you know the chris braun but everything in it's real and there's an authenticity to it that you just don't get a lot of sort of japanese themed places right and so for that reason i'd give it a solid eight and a half out of ten they got a point taken off for the fake milk i don't know what else they could do to improve it really do you want it to be a more functional hotel or a more authentic hotel so that's where it's kind of like okay i'm not really judging it in the fact of how comfortable is the hotel more of how much of an english experience is it and in that category yeah it's uh it's pretty damn authentic but the milk is a treasures come on yeah my my tongue's screwed it's a shame eloquent there when you've just burnt your tongue you give a really honest review really eloquently when you're at the top of your game connor nothing stands in your way let's go get to go dinner time traditional british food let's go after complaining about how fake milk is an atrocity to milk for a few more hours we decided it was time to get dinner and a beautiful walk to the manor awaited us because we bought the premium package we got to have drinks in a separate room before our meal how fancy oh hi didn't see you there just in my war room the war room you know just drinking my chandigarh beer and ginger ale with chris worst day ever i feel like this is like your future house when you t you've converted your youtube trash taste billions into a welsh manner look at this isn't this nice this is relaxing kind of wish that we could have more than half an hour here really i'd love to drink it nice couches oh with my chest it's the connor gambit here we go it looks like king uh it looks like henry doesn't it oh yeah that's a really cool chess set chris refused to play me because uh he knew he'd lose miserably i didn't rule that out entirely do i beat you at poker i could beat you at chess don't you worry about that same game but yeah this is amazing look at it what do you think chris if i could get a big house in the uk i would love a room like this the study where my game plans yeah we're where chris studies yeah nowhere i was like blitheringly i would just be like in one of those chairs in the corner getting drunk alone and that's that should have seen chris's posture earlier when we got the beer he was like but now this is the executive street i guess now we have 10 minutes to kill before dinner and we'll be off so uh bottoms up bye a man of elegance style and grace in his natural habitat enjoying his shandy gaffe before he demolishes the upcoming dinner i remember when wacky weekend used to be about suffering and pain and the last three episodes actually the last two episodes that's quite nice haven't they five-star hotels british theme parks i think they've been pretty good we have to make it a lot worse next time you can't keep doing slaughter factory for a day put your fingers in the blender experience that'll be the next one yeah yeah next time next time and after being privileged for 30 minutes it was time to go to the main dinner hall which i must say is pretty damn accurate to a dinner hall in the uk with extreme hogwarts-esque vibes it looks amazing is it romantic [Music] we just need the wine now and we're good to go [Music] oh like a boss the first course was a lobster and ravioli actually sounds amazing i'm excited to stop getting in the way i might eat the meal chris oh they stuffed that down and didn't they followed by a minestrone soup one one to ten seven it's a supervisor next up was the lobster and olive flounder steamed with vegetables and in a rather promiscuous shape not very british but it tasted good that's pretty nice followed by a sorbet to cleanse your palate [Music] next up was a venison wellington with foie gras stuffed inside which ironically isn't very british because it's actually been banned in the uk but still all right get on with that venison i want to eat mine give us some some critical thoughts so i can get on with it that is actually really good gordon ramsay would be proud this is amazing followed by the dessert which is probably one of the most unhealthiest things i've ever eaten strawberries butter alcohol flamed into an inferno served with pancake and ice cream and i must say i'm getting hungry recording this voiceover my strawberries are so soft i genuinely thought we were gonna witness the whole room getting burnt down then that was frightening i hope they've got a good like fire insurance plan here this looks amazing i'm so excited to try this look like a potion being made it was it was that was very impressive visually striking like crisp absolutely visually shut up and get into it shut up and eat the flambe [Music] that's soggy this can't be british food because it tastes good for some reason chris decided to zoom right in on my face for every single shot but yeah as i said in the video it wasn't very british it's a very nice meal but it's not british because it tasted good but i was really hoping that we'd get more authentic british dishes like roast dinner or shepherd's pie is that british i hope that's british it is british thank god wow oh my god the strawberry is like so soft it looks like it's going to like melt as i touch it the strawberry's got like such a nice combination of flavours see that's a symphony of flavors or a symphony where's my job presenting a food shop on bbc ice cream a crepe with creaming and strawberry [Music] how's that delicious out of ten it's pretty good after chris was done being pompous about his dessert it was time to go and check out the authentic british pub now you might be wondering what makes an authentic british pub there are many things fights shouting but most importantly the beer insider and luckily for us they had some drinks that made us feel right at home starting with the cider for chris followed by a beer for yours truly nothing of interest happened here we just drank for two hours and got extremely drunk after drinking far too much we had the amazing idea to do a tour of the castle this is the upstairs part of the castle that we saw outside earlier complete with its own massive tapestry and giant wood carved like paintings all over the wall this is where you can launch palm peasants see your peasants oh boy what day what day is it quite christmas day this is very grand now watch gonna break the castle i couldn't close the door oh wow this must be like it whoa this is like trash taste headquarters global headquarters for trash taste always looking for a chance to uh to rob anywhere he goes that's weird so some of these open and some of them don't why is that they're hiding their gummy bears from me why would they do that oh my god stop breaking things for sick it's pretty impressive because the wooden pieces protrude from the photo from the from the front can you tell i've had a few beers boredom pieces protrude from the fro test this is a british tour i'm sharply drunk okay i'm not trying to hide back those red eyes how much beer have you had your honor i have never drank a super falcon in [Music] i have these in my house when chris comes to visit just you know you should have to perform my ass who do you want the better the other day connor told me right that he only showers like twice a week he's like oh mate i only show up once or twice a week and that explains why kind of smells what the weight is majestic thank you very much i smell amazing she wants to be affiliated with the broad japan we've come to the right place the theme will be fifty thousand dollars and one ostrich said how many lost you just died for the these pens this is insane look at this look at the size of it it's pretty comical but how amazing is the chair though the chair is good i know what i want for my birthday i bet this is like a ten thousand dollar chair the way it sort of reclines with your body the synergy of excellence surgery of excellence wacky weekend and after fully exploring what the mana had to offer i decided to become a child this oddly satisfying roundabout about to be trashed this is really satisfying so i wanted to kind of just fall into it and see what would happen if it looked good or not so i guess without further ado oh i didn't look nearly it's not so much an angel as an airplane that's awful connor's drunk a little bit too much we went to rest our heads on the giant wood panels behind our bed and fell asleep gracefully the waking up we were extremely excited for our british breakfast how's your uh traditional english breakfast quite unusual it looks good i wouldn't call it a british english breakfast but that's the thickest bacon i've ever seen but it comes with a lot of tea with salad didn't have that in english for instance fruits and the the thinnest toast i've ever seen in my life so bright apple teeth eating his breakfast under the watch for live the queen [Music] that is a really good egg actually the egg is uh is worryingly good harvested from like the finest finest hence [Music] goodbye goodbye goodbye and after waking up far too early for our breakfast that definitely wasn't british but it is british it was time to head back to the room to sleep because i mean we had like two hours until we checked out so i'm not gonna do anything i'm just gonna sleep but the views outside were amazing with the stunning layer of snow enveloping the whole village but it was about time i enjoyed a bath i wanna have a bath okay let me have a bath you'd be so so sad to meet you as a viewer what because just disappointed this is the best way to meet me nice to join the man this is a horrible frothy mess this is disgusting look he's got his mirror he's got his little mirror i look at myself while i move the sea dog experience is it is it night i've never sat on these baths a little small amount of my structure structured this isn't that nice to lean on i'd rather just have like a bigger bath right make it like double-sided so i can have like a well giant man you get out it's time to get going i just want to feel my my non-existent penis but no good british story would be complete without afternoon tea and luckily for us the british hills has their very own tea room the ascot now i'm going to expose myself a little bit here i will say this has been the best british afternoon tea i have had in japan not only did the teapots come with tea cozies bonus points the food was amazing what dessert you're hanging out then chris i want this carrot cake here you've already had your hands all over it yeah he's just marking his territory you can have something else i've got a cheese scone and a raisin skin and the plain one and the raisin plain plain scone for a plain man because pasty silly face some good old egg sandwiches down here it's a really nice sort of afternoon tea pretty loyal to the real thing right it's not like being japanified at all atlantic in japan that's a good from it's a fine end to your romantic trip to the uk i love egg sandwiches but japanese mayonnaise is like a stand above the rest so this is really good this is amazing it's cracking what do you think you uh are most likely to i guess i got my answer well did you have to use your hands could you not have used the the spatula thingies we have these losers never go to your buffet with chris don't play by the way you'll pick up everything at the bottom take what you want it's the british way this is good i feel like i've come back to the uk in two years and this is the closest thing i've had to like feeling like i'm in the uk this is really nice really good sandwiches i'm very impressed so far very impressed the staff watching on in horror as i eat a carrot cake just a hole without like cutting it or chewing it like a sea beast nine out of ten everybody else in this tea room use a knife and fork when eating for some reason chris decided to pick it up with his hand like a like a bag of chips and after that i was i was done we're leaving i'm getting out of here this trip is over but it was fun outro go so the entire stay cost around three hundred and fifty dollars now that included the premium room for one night the afternoon tea for two which normally costs around fifty dollars two course meals for the evening and a full breakfast so overall i'd say it's pretty decent value for money well guys that was our little whirlwind trip of british hills the quickest escape to the uk without leaving japan how was it you know you haven't been back in two years how was it getting to go home for a little bit i mean i'm not gonna lie it's probably not the same as going to the uk you didn't get sworn out of the pub so it's hardly realistic exactly didn't get beaten up but like it was it was really nice the the accommodation really cool one of the coolest places i've stayed in japan a long time the food surprisingly decent that afternoon tea set was really good that was definitely to the quality of british afternoon tea quality a lot of the time when you have afternoon tea in japan it's more for instagram photos as opposed to like having like actually good food so it was really nice to get a quiche scone sandwiches that were just really nice and authentic even though sometimes you don't want authentic british food and the breakfast was okay as well but good food i felt like we got a really good british experience and if you were japanese and this is the only way you could experience the uk i'd say it's pretty damn good i think the key word here is escape escape and subscribe inside and the second wacky weekend in a row we've actually had fun yeah and done something nice but next month we are going to do something horrible abusive disastrous and painful so i'm christmas around for that i'll be back on abroad japan for that one but for now guys let's try i gotta get out of here we're like in the snowiest mountains in north japan and i'm driving freezing i'm freezing i i want to go to the car down to the car the
