I Don't Trust Logan Paul's Pokemon "Expert"...

sermons and he has a pretty banging youtube channel what video did munahar talk about me you know who mutahar is he's uh some ordinary gamers he's got a unibrow do i do i really oh [ __ ] dude i got i do have a developing unibrow he wasn't kidding god damn now that being said le wabbie brought an interesting thing to the to the party okay he brought an interesting topic and actually kavos also brought this topic too last week if you don't know pokemon card collecting is a huge business right now it's a huge investment there are a lot of people who are buying packs of these cards and they're they've basically boomed in value the collectible car trading market is kind of all the rage right now and a lot of it has to do with logan paul who sort of popularized this through his uh youtube channel where on one live stream where he's opening a 200 000 edition first edition box of pokemon cards he pulled in 10 million views and 131 thousand dollars for mental health awareness charity overall it was a good deal now you might be wondering holy [ __ ] [ __ ] how is a box worth two hundred thousand dollars okay now this box is worth two hundred thousand dollars because effectively logan paul buys a booster box uh of these cards and these booster box effectively what he does here is he breaks these car boxes open he un he uh basically opens the packs themselves shows the cards on stream and he sells these cards these packs to people who buy them from him on his stream a lot of people do it this way because quite honestly uh unless you're jeff bezos's son or something of the sort you're probably not going to be able to [ __ ] buy first edition boxes most people can't buy these for obvious [ __ ] reasons now that's why a lot of people go it through this route now with logan paul and a lot of other influencers who have this kind of money they're able to buy these boxes and run these kind of streams and whatnot so logan buys a box splits it up sells it to uh you know his audience maybe he'll had a little bit of a markup but hey the money goes to a charity and logan paul gets a nice little you know tax break uh what was that i coughed sorry uh he he gets a little bit of a he gets a little bit of a tax right off now that being said it's all fine if it goes to charity i'm all cool with it what what is interesting about this is logan paul actually has a pokemon expert so to speak right now his pokemon expert is the crypto king himself this is jb the crypto king trader builder blockchain entrepreneur not investment advice i wouldn't take it anyways now if you actually open it up this is uh this this is the guy right here all right agent 47 in all his glory one of his quotes is crypto is not a job it is a career blockchain is not a fad it is true it is the future of transparency shrek is love shrek is life give me that green donga in my life that's all i'm hearing ladies and gentlemen now i i usually have a thing with investors i don't really jump too hard into this whole thing i have a i i when it comes to money advice and financial advice i i tend to look at a billion people it's kind of like going to a doctor i make sure to get like 10 opinions and just sort of see how they correlate and and i work with that and so far that's a pretty good strategy now on the surface level nothing here is necessarily wrong and i want to preface a lot of this by saying that everything over here is just a complete opinion nothing that i'm stating is fact and if jb comes out and pretty much proves me wrong and and pretty much you know just just just gives a side of the story and it's 100 factual i will gladly accept that i'm wrong uh but there's a lot of stuff that builds into shadiness and we're going to take those boxes off number one is if you go to the impulsive podcast right the actual price appraisals that happen uh for these cards is it's kind of a little off okay just listen real quickly bulbasaur if it comes back at 10 based on your estimate of course gorgeous car no issues okay how much uh bgs 1020 thousand plus hey thirty forty fifty thousand i mean what the [ __ ] man i mean jesus christ if you're gonna pray something at least get it down to a narrow range it's like when you go to a net worth website and it's like this person's worth between five dollars or five hundred billion dollars like holy [ __ ] man either you're worth the [ __ ] cost of a subways dinner or you're a [ __ ] gdp of a small country who knows right like [ __ ] i mean [ __ ] whatever i mean i'm probably gonna be in the ballpark somewhere if i pick between those numbers right now that said the card that they showed right if you look at the actual price by the grading uh at the best condition like the mint 10 like 10 graded we're talking you know virgin [ __ ] grip card uh 630 dollars like the recent price but the average is like 17.92 i don't know where the [ __ ] he came up with that price tag maybe after like 50 years pass in the nuclear bombs drop maybe just [ __ ] maybe the card might have praised that high because it has more rarity i don't know now if you actually go into card grading the way that card grading works is that there's two two real players right there's the bgs and then there's the psa they grade things between one to ten uh where one is basically like hey the card was come down a bunch of times it's kind of garbage i mean it's not the best in terms of collecting and then all the way up to like 10 where you know it's like the [ __ ] virgin mary of the card like this is where it is and when you're actually grading these things it's really not even up to you because in a lot of ways when you're grading a card like this right there are so many extraneous factors that you couldn't even consider like how that card was first formed the the [ __ ] ink quality that was used when that card was printed [ __ ] how the card the cardboard quality itself i mean there's a million things that go into it and a grand majority is out of it so it's effectively like [ __ ] winning the lottery right like but maybe with like slightly better odds that's kind of what you have to think about it i mean if you look at it cards are graded based on factors like centering corners edges surface they give each attribute a grade of one to ten and then combine those so it's basically a homogenized rating of all these other ratings and there are people that you send these cards into they will assess them they will check every aspect of it and give you the appropriate grade you can't really even just tell this just by looking at the card itself you might be able to get somewhat of a cursory glance but there is a lot of time and effort taken to individually grade these cards right that's why this is such an important thing and it's not just pokemon cards it goes to magic the gathering it goes to yu-gi-oh and it goes to a million other trading card sets that you can find out there this is what kind of makes the hobby even more fun than it is right because that that thrill of pulling that rare card this is this is something that's magical for a lot of people now this alone isn't worth a video okay whatever who gives a [ __ ] what really was important was wabi kavos and basically everyone in the [ __ ] news media bringing the [ __ ] to light everyone and their mother basically wrote an article on this nonsense and if you didn't know all right i'm going to show you right now here's from a guardian page where they said a live stream that involved a 375 000 deal for pokemon cards ended in disaster it has been billed as record-breaking deal that would make serious investors cover 20 year old trading cards featuring pictures of cartoon monsters instead a 375 000 cash transaction entered a disaster on tuesday when the buyer opened a seal box that was supposed to be full of first edition rare pokemon cards live on youtube and found that the contents were faked okay so if you don't know effectively what will happen is these boxes like the early boxes we told you that logan paul bought for like hundreds of thousands of dollars when you there's a chance that you might buy a box that's completely [ __ ] fake right where the cards have been open the packs themselves were opened uh the good cards were removed they were stuffed with [ __ ] cards and then they were later resealed all right and put into a cart there's an actual channel called like alpha investments where they actually talk about this in depth relating to magic the gathering and how to individually tell these sealed card card packs but this is kind of a reality that happens and unfortunately it can be pretty hard to trace who's actually done the crime because most people buy these card boxes and they never even open it themselves they just sort of sit there appreciating value it's only until when they finally get cracked open like what happened on this live stream that there's a chance that it might be a totally legit box or you might totally be dealing with a [ __ ] scam now to remind you okay jb who's kind of at the center of this [ __ ] pokemon trading card cartel it doesn't exactly have the best reputation around him okay like he's he's basically somewhat popular on instagram where he asks people and post tic talk of have you ever heard of pokey porn yes i have heard of pokey porn and yes maybe or maybe not i have jacked off to it that is not today's question but it is what it is he has a bunch of other cars that he showcased right it's cool it is what it is now to prove to you guys that this isn't like this guy wasn't getting targeted harassment he had already built a a a aura of distrust if you will around the community like there are people who are like this guy is [ __ ] scummy now wubby cavos nobody here brought anything to him a month ago he posted a video are you the pokemon guy okay you open the pokemon guy it's a [ __ ] tick tock right is this the real pokemon master uh maybe maybe so but i hope to god that i wouldn't find him on [ __ ] tick tock now if you look around he's got 14 likes and 437 [ __ ] dislikes that itself isn't bad okay but when you look at the comments turned off remember i said earlier there's like you know check boxes to tick this this is one of those things right like let's be goddamn real over here hopefully my boy gets to 1000 section gets [ __ ] turned off all right there's probably legitimate reasons to do it but most of the time i'd say 99 of it that's the [ __ ] thing now this takes us to part three of the video that involves a channel known as dumb money now dumb money has basically it's basically a channel run by a couple dudes who are like multi-fucking millionaires uh they're they make their money in investments and stocks and they they have the capital to throw around and basically make entertaining content their youtube channel may not be the biggest but these people are they they don't [ __ ] care they're already rich in their own terms all right now that said they made it they made this live stream this 54-minute [ __ ] live stream that involved our buddy here agent 47 and other pokemon experts i don't know what's up with the pokemon experts they almost feel like they don't want to [ __ ] be there they also have a security operator right around over here security guard who also doesn't feel like he wants to [ __ ] be there hell dumb money themselves don't want to be there but here they've spent that 375 thousand dollars on a [ __ ] first edition pokemon box and this whole stream is a [ __ ] disaster so it's at this point that they didn't realize i think like uh agent 47 our buddy jb didn't [ __ ] realize that are they really going to open this pack after they just spent 375 000 on it live on camera well let's find out are they going to do it yeah let's do it are you live right now you want me to retweet it yeah yeah we're yeah we're live right now um so that news is out how do we do this do we just open the box i mean i'm not going to touch any of this just you know so this is going to be in the hands of people that are actually touching the easiest way to guarantee authenticity is to pop it open i don't know if you actually wanted to oh yeah we're gonna open let's have it open on camera live so we know we're not doing anything weird with the packs no problem um you [ __ ] hear that [ __ ] you hear that he's like oh [ __ ] oh no no problem no problem right there he's like are we really gonna do this today we're really gonna open the [ __ ] packs all right now that by itself isn't a [ __ ] weird reaction but uh all right [ __ ] let's see what happens next no problem um the owner of the box supposedly bought three boxes when he was a child his parents bought him three they sat in a gun safe the entire time um there's a little bit you'll see of wear on one of the top edges he says 100 money back for me if indeed it is fake i spoke to him yesterday good guy i've done lots of deals with him before i've done all the inspections a normal person would be able to do without cracking it even the cellophane [ __ ] okay that's a pretty lengthy explanation right there now guess who wanted to go with the story that's like um i guess if we wanted to go with this young child story like coming of age tale where he had this card like pack box and then it was put into a gun safe and somehow after all that time spent in there the cellophane was kind of [ __ ] like you can understand like how as soon as he's realized like literally a second before that this pack was going to be open the excuses start ramping up something to sort of like you know it tied over like he's obviously very scared like if i have to look at the body language there it is not a calm relaxed investor body language it is the body language of somebody that's really coming up with a lot of stuff in my opinion on the spot i can't say for certain not 100 it's all alleged [ __ ] but to me this doesn't look trustworthy okay if i was sitting in the same room i would not trust this person with the cards i wouldn't trust this person with the money i wouldn't trust this person with anything else in life okay that's all i'm gonna say max let's see how we do let's make it 19.99 again very nice what are we looking for underneath those packs would be bad the same oh the same thing we want the scissors edition yes that's perfect keep going keep going keep going oh the color's different on that one than that one that one's not a first edition pack that's an issue this is an unlimited pack oh no yeah look they're open yeah no that's a major [ __ ] issue this is a reason oh my god it's a resealed box all right time to call the seller yeah no money back on that oh it's not even basic cards oh my god jesus [ __ ] christ you opened the god damn case and it already was full of duds like that didn't even try to hide that [ __ ] it was just it was all a terrible sight like it was just like as soon as you opened it it was like pandora's box but i would say it was it was the fecal version of the box you opened this [ __ ] flew [ __ ] everywhere and everything went south dude okay so literally as soon as they found out he just started going into the phone call right i want you to look at it this is like really good just like count the seconds here okay one two three four four [ __ ] less than four seconds the the person who sold them the resealed box was like literally sitting there on the ready like oh [ __ ] i'm getting this magical like inference somewhere okay like this [ __ ] esp is kicking in my brain they're gonna open my scan box i better be ready on the [ __ ] call open they're open they're okay yeah they are oh hi we just opened the box literally live and they're resealed packs look energy cards yeah yeah there's like base set two mixed in half of them are first edition but they're all resealed this is absolutely unacceptable i i'm sure that's a hundred percent real call and i'm sure it's not coincidental with the timing whatsoever i don't disregard that at all again i just have opinions none of this is true i have to actually put this in the beginning of the video that this is all 100 opinion and none of it should be considered fact okay but i'm just going to say it is in my opinion that that call was probably leaning more towards fictional rather than non-fictional so basically they got a 375 thousand dollar [ __ ] dud but most importantly the credibility is brought into question right now nobody can confirm for a shadow of a doubt that the person who sold this box had done this willingly because like i said earlier usually when fake boxes are sold right it's a whole chain of command that you have to follow a whole chain of buyers and sellers some people will buy a fake box not knowing it's a fake box and just have it sitting somewhere to appreciate in value it you have to really find out in that chain who was the one that faked the box right and that can be it's a whole separate thing but that's kind of the one thing to understand right like credibility definitely gets shot in the dark but it's not a guarantee that the person they bought it from fake that [ __ ] right there of course our buddy jb he has probably one of the best solutions let's hear it i just spoke to the the seller of the actual box he has two others in philadelphia we're flying to maryland tomorrow we're going to get both boxes we're going to crack both boxes on videotape make sure they're both correct and then they can be brought to you for weighment and all of that great and if they are correct we can continue with the deal okay it's not correct he's going to refund me the entire amount that i paid for the box which unfortunately was the price a month ago so i'm going to lose money obviously gosh but at least there's a solution of we have two more boxes we're going to make sure a or b are real and if you aren't real then it's just going to be a refund thank i would say what the [ __ ] kind of a solution is that if you think about it right like first off you've got this one box from obviously he was talking to the seller on the phone right you've got this one fake box that you have right now now you're gonna get two boxes right two other boxes totally different maybe they might be fake maybe they won't they're gonna crack those boxes open on a videotape of their own time and if it's true they're gonna send those over they're gonna handle all the money and refunds but this is gonna be done privately on their end now of course this was actually followed up with where these guys effectively stream this happening in their own location in front of these guys on live stream like the dumb money people you can already tell just by this follow-up that like first off this is a janky setup indeed but like these guys over here i'm glad i'm actually saying that with the guy who has a defocusing camera right but you can tell that like the dumb money guys they're just [ __ ] completely checked out he doesn't give a [ __ ] he doesn't give a [ __ ] and i actually don't give a [ __ ] either now this all being said okay this is one of those things where like 375 thousand dollars this was caught on camera [ __ ] live this is why it made news everywhere okay this was caught on camera live now again the all of this stuff added together like i said earlier it falls into the [ __ ] checklist system right when you have a bunch of these boxes being ticked the credibility of an individual goes the [ __ ] down now like i said everything here is a hundred percent opinion okay it's just what i think and i perceive honestly i would love if [ __ ] jb could come out and pretty much the crypto king himself could come out and pretty much prove me wubby cavos everyone in the world wrong and that would be fine i would gladly eat my words i would gladly say i'm [ __ ] wrong but 100 real to be [ __ ] super real with you okay if you asked me how i felt credibility wise about jb it would be right in the [ __ ] i wouldn't trust this guy with the money i wouldn't trust this guy with anything i wouldn't trust this guy with any [ __ ] thing under the sun and i know i've been repeating that like crazy the other thing that's also fallen into the whole checkmark nonsense is uh when you go to like wabby's twitter which is lol i angered agent 47 uh collectibles guru which is jb himself or a [ __ ] crypto king writes are you the fat youtuber who goes out of his way to create drama when i'm the one out 55k right now and 225k in profit all right first off weird flex indeed cool but you're going to call my boy webby fat all right get out of here he's a cute dickens right there and i don't [ __ ] appreciate it but that's a totally level-headed normal reaction to have with somebody when there's really not even drama being made okay it's [ __ ] cards at the end of the day but however the money spent is a massively large amount and it wouldn't be drama if it wasn't [ __ ] streamed alive and there weren't a bunch of you know sites there weren't a bunch of news articles making giant posts about this anyways but anyways i thought the [ __ ] was [ __ ] hilarious i thought it was cool and i wanted to help bring more light and awareness to it because quite honestly it's an ever-growing market out there and if anything this has convinced me to take pokemon trading cards a little bit seriously as a hobby maybe as an investment down the road uh but honestly i've learned a lot of stuff
