Guinness World Records Museum - San Antonio, TX

hey you all carpetbagger here coming to you live from the great state of Texas more specifically San Antonio and even more specifically er than that I am in front of the Guinness World Records Museum now there are several other Guinness World Records museums across the country as well as other countries we have visited the one in Gatlinburg we have visited the one and Hollywood and there's one a night your Falls as well and the thing is they're all different the one in Gatlinburg has moved more towards an interactive environment where you try to break records the Hollywood one is very old school more of a museum type experience no idea what we're about to experience here so please come along with p.m. we'll figure it out follow me [Music] in the lobby we have some world record things the world's largest Hawaiian shirt it's a neck of sixty inches at chest of 168 inches yeah I think this could literally only be worn by Paul Bunyan it is a 400 XL in town here we have the world's largest yo-yo of course Guinness World Records is a natural fit for Texas because everything is bigger in Texas including table tennis paddles that's the world's largest one right there this is John Evans he holds the world record for stacking beer kegs on his head I'm gonna get a picture of how many kegs the man can stack I know there are several men that fight over the world's largest man moniker this is Walter Hudson Neil's Records for the largest waste so just depends on how you determine who is the biggest he is the biggest around and of course this man no introduction needed mr. Robert Wadlow all 8 foot 11 inches of him here's the world's largest playable guitar looks like it's about 7 feet tall I don't exactly know who can play it I think that's a question that needs to be answered all right let's get ready to head in here's the skirt and belt of sandy Allen she's the world's largest woman she doesn't get nearly as much attention as wah blow to us alright we're gonna try to beat the record for the most drum beats in a minute a record is a thousand and eighty we're gonna do our best to beat that let's see three two one 260 we're going to double that to 522 like of nunchuck master I bet he stood out in his yard for years practicing all those nunchuck strikes heading into the news and magazine stand oh the tallest bowling ball stack right there see this this here though it's not balanced to put in some additional supports but this would have been the tallest someone would have been able to stack it an assistant which is insanely impressive really considering they're round junk food junkie what's this oh that's not this guy used eats metal tires what oh it's one of those dynamite lever things I think we can get to destroy this building on the twenty-eight thousand eight hundred ninety nine Wow you are a monster and of course we have these wonderful disgusting garbage cans right here alright a tester of how steady your hands are these are very difficult see we'll just take it easy you got it I lost I lost get it that far yeah they're just messing with me at this point we want me to make a house of cards all right how do you even go about this I'll just there there are made a house of cards it's a teepee now entering the official attempt arena where you can attempt to break different world records here's the chopstick challenge they have coffee beans and then the cup we're trying to move them to the plate with these chopsticks to one go okay you go move go in with one bean at a time one beam at a time with chopsticks one feeding at a time you can't pick up an extra bean i I got 14 seconds 13 seconds left I have not yet got a single bean any of this slow down slow and steady wins the race there you go got another bean okay I'm gonna finally get my groove unfortunately I just ran out of time so I got two beams the world record 24 beans bunch of bad for a first try all right this is a record see how fast you can stack ten of these monkeys let's say get ready three two one no you got to do one at a time one at a time one at a time one at a time one at a time one at a time this monkey is broken I have already lost world record is 13 and seconds hi I'm not good at things alright let's try out the loudest scream competition I'm gonna enter the scream chamber scream as loud as you can record is 129 decibels alright get ready to scream ready ready to scream 3 2 1 I had 40 43 43 decibels ooh 43 decibels so that was the Guinness World Record Museum here in San Antonio Texas I think my voice is strained from trying to break the world record for a lot of scream is interesting to see the how the different Guinness World Records are once around the country they're all different in their own way this one that very heavy and the museum aspect to the one and gallopers almost completely converted over to being interactive this is kind of a somewhere in the middle but it does have a lot of the old museum
