Legoland Florida - Full Experience

hey you all carbon bagger here coming to you live from the South more specifically Winter Haven Florida and Winter Haven Florida used to be the host of one of the biggest and most popular amusement parks in Florida music apartment the name of Cypress Gardens there's bill 1930s and it was built before Disney so it was at one point the biggest attraction in Florida unfortunately Disney comes along and changes things changes the game here in Florida as far as it comes to amusement park Cypress Gardens famous for their Botanical Gardens famous for their water-ski shows but could not necessarily compete with the big theme parks that were moving into Florida and in the early 2000 Cypress Gardens shut their doors and closed down forever but a few years later it will be resurrected and purchased by Legoland and be turned into Legoland Florida and I've never got a chance to visit Cypress Gardens and I've never been to Legoland this is my first time here as well so we're going to take in the experience together so follow me [Music] here's the hotel looks like it is made out of actual legos this gentleman over here is slowly building the hotel brick by brick looks like they are celebrating the holiday season here at Legoland first thing I'm seeing is a bunch of large sculptures made entirely out of Legos which is pretty impressive okay I was actually mistaken this is not made of Legos this is this is made of duplos quite a sculpture here this dragon and I feel look behind it there's this massive rainbow all coming apart there at the top check this out being greeted here at Legoland and Lego version of me which is pretty cool was actually a pretty it's actually a pretty huge fan of Legos back when I was in elementary school I remember having the getting the Knights Castle for my birthday I was kind of just think the ultimate thing to me I really love the medieval set with the little knights and the pirates were awesome too I just had to have my little name my little miniature figures I would have like you customize them with different different heads and different little add-ons and artists little weapons and hats and you know so much fun so much fun I remember proof fond memories well chef here he's had all sorts of different types of bread in his pockets nice and tasty yeah your tasty pizza hey singing about pizza it does look like some pretty good what do you - what do I like that's good oh yeah pepperoni I'm not really hungry right now but thank you oh okay thank you Wow the restrooms here have this knock knock who's there show me show me who shall be coming home what why are you holding a toilet [Music] birdwatcher here Emmett and Wildside from the lego movie which you know i think the world was incredibly shocked when the lego movie turned out to be a pretty good check out this double stack carousel with these lego horses this is awesome alright let's pick out a a speed let's try this guy oh here we go Lego horse is going up and down in there gallop my little Lego Knights used to ride these same horses so it's an honor to finally be able to get to ride one myself [Music] here's the minifigure market no that's punk rock like oh man here it looks like he fell asleep on the bench to get this you can build your own minifigure you can pick a head about got a little different heads she was from course there's wigs wigs and hats you got torsos big pilot or so it's the only time I think pile of torsos is not horrifying get some legs right there all sorts of wonderful little props you got guitar a broom if you want to have a lego custodian this artist here is creating a painting of Legoland at night it's very very dark here that very very poor nighttime lighting this is Miniland apparently they have a miniature version of different parts of the United States that we can check out I've got a whole section here on the state of Florida it's a miniature racetrack let's see there's much RVs camped out in the middle of the middle of the field so it'll be one car it looks like it's racing and it's uh it's not going very fast oh wait there's another car over there it's like this is a two-car race whizzing past the audience there yeah this here is a replica of the Kennedy Space Center which is another classic Florida attraction that I've never managed to visit it's a big spaceship here it's a countdown clock does this thing actually say actually launched oh [Music] Wow [Music] here's Miami Beach it's the people jet skiing they're being hold by a boat here is Little Havana area of Miami and there is a conga button fill it oh there we go you see the conga line has just embarked the little lego conga line that's pretty pretty cute see the little boat in the canal they're sailing by this is Key West right here sloppy Moe's bars actually called sloppy joes maybe they couldn't get the copyright to use the actual sloppy joe so it's sloppy Moe's for now there's about you look back there you can see Hemingway's house you see all the little cats on the roof all the little six toed Hemingway cats pretty cool there's the southernmost point to the United States monument you see the little tourists getting their pictures taken wonderful Robert the doll is hiding maybe in there [Music] it's a wrecked pirate ship there you can see a treasure hunting boat there to recover the lost treasures there's the litter Museum in st. Augustine Florida I'm actually the video the video that Museum it's a really cool old style Victoria museum and then over here is the Castillo de San Marcos also in st. Augustine of course you can't have st. Augustine without the Fountain of Youth oh my gosh actually recognize this this is the goony Gulf and Panama Beach Florida see the Orlando Eye over there over in Orlando and then in the bottom left-hand corner you'll see Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Orlando this button says let it rain oh geez that dirty trick see little airboat going here through the Everglades over here you move on to Las Vegas Luxor casino right there there's the mirages water show [Applause] it's New York New York the New York themed casino although it's missing the roller coaster it's out front the Venetian I know the Madame Tussauds Las Vegas is actually inside there too the famous wedding chapel there and there's an interactive button let's see what this does Oh button is not functional I guess guess the wedding's off okay this is New York this grassy area is Central Park that's the Central Park Carousel right there all right let's bust a move Oh see the little break dancers they're breakdancing I spy the Alice in Wonderland statue pretty cool a lot of really cool Easter eggs in here look at that there's a icecream truck driving along the streets of New York you see there's a giant lizard running down the streets of New York they're careful little guy don't don't play in traffic uh-oh uh-oh here comes comes a truck get out of the way buddy get out of the way mr. lizard move I'm gonna get your get your tail run over oh there he goes there goes yeah we run to safety one of my favorite spots New York is Times Square although I don't see a lego Naked Cowboy anywhere [Music] it's the US Capitol building you can oh you have his band sing hail to the chief that's pretty cool [Music] there's the Chinese Theatre right there and if you look next door there's the Hollywood madamji saw it's interesting that three Madame Tussauds are included in those miniatures there's the Griffith Park observatory the most famous building named after a man who shot his wife in the eyeball look out here we are the Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco there is the curviest Street in America Lombard Street that no-good sea lion is trying to spray me here's Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco oddly enough it's missing the Madame Tussauds oh here comes the police boat think it means business can see the Jefferson monument right there in DC then over there is the Lincoln Memorial Christie deal with Jima memorial little tour bus stopping in front letting its guests take pictures the White House down here and I guess out front there you can see Donald and Melania going out to check the mail I also have a Star Wars land much like dittany does now I see a full-size ray standing right there made of Legos OPC the Millennium Falcon landing right there it's the canteen scene he's a little band playing oh look at that you can see Luke and obi-wan and the droids right there oh look at that the angry wampa in the cave there there's the ice planet of Hoth oh wow I'm not obi-wan [Music] the Ewok village there you can see them worshipping c-3po as a god and the most beloved and classic scene in Star Wars history the droid army prepares to take on the Gungans Wow Darth Maul actually makes a pretty scary Lego man [Music] now Lego LANs predecessor Cypress Gardens was perhaps most famous for its waterskiing shows apparently Legoland does carry on that tradition we're going to check that out current water shows take place over here in Pirates Cove and see some Lego made pirates right there [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] that's right salty my back in charge sorry you've got my band of pirates now [Music] they also preserve the historic Botanical Gardens that were at Cypress Gardens you can see the homage here with the lego built southern belle it's really beautiful back here see another Lego made southern bow in front of the iconic Cypress Gardens gazebo right there pretty cool that they left these classic Botanical Gardens intact it's kind of interesting you know that having the theme park the loud kind of gaudy theme park out there and then having like this retreat back here with all this beautiful wildlife pretty cool a little boat area booking sail around what's the deal with these spitting rats here this little guy right here here is the Ninjago area just Asian themed little building on top of a mountain here you can actually add to it which is interesting gonna help build up the mountain this is Kai the master of Spinjitzu [Music] [Music] okay I went to gathering this is Jay we have some sort of lightning powers I gotta test my lightning-fast reflexes here Oh [Music] which was love now okay [Music] my ninja kicks here pass these Lego dragons has Ninjago the ride just kind of neat inside the queue building have little stations the kids can play with Legos while they're waiting to ride the ride we wind our way through the queue getting all pumped up [Music] Oh left my room I think I gotta fight these guys my and shoe okay yeah I'm shooting like ninja snores or something they're flashing is fire all right gonna kill me is the Safari track we could check out some brick made animals on this journey alright my chariot awaits [Music] all right let's get this Safari on the road I got something elephants Oh Oh check out there's a monkey driving the same car as me oh we tried to spray me some gazelles right there maybe ostriches burying their heads in the sand a mr. ostrich there's a family of friendly giraffes Oh watch out oh wow it's terrifying you're here in the Egyptian section of the park and inside this building was the lost kingdom adventure which is a dark ride by the Sally corporation [Music] all right we're in the Egyptian's got our gun here [Music] [Music] [Applause] Oh check out the skeleton band that is really really awesome Oh sort of fill in [Music] oh no oh and shooting compressed air no pressure okay oh there we go [Applause] they caught the villain two gold statues all right I really like that I think the LEGO Minifigures are a real perfect fit for a dark ride the jousting ride little kids can hop aboard horses travel through a medieval environment with their little Spears these filthy pigs this guy here kind of looks like a it looks like a Shrek if he was one of the Simpsons say brave and noble knight right there [Music] [Applause] all right this is the dragon rollercoaster here we have some drunken monks that have dipped a little too deeply into their beer barrel here [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] there's the dragon [Music] these toasted someone right there oh screaming ooh this is pretty pretty high oh here we go [Music] [Music] oh just a lego movie land a themed area based on the movie but I think the thing that grabs in my eye is this giant building shaped like a giant cat head check this out we even got a little little puppy urinating on a pole how whimsical there's some sort of water ride for those who love being entirely drenched there's some water cannons here for soaking the people that are on the ride here comes a unfortunate ship for the fools oh wait a minute they have guns - oh don't spray me bro oh jeez come on monsters some sort of cat lady right there what is that [Applause] [Music] what in the heck am I even looking at here was sort of giant Pony cupboard disk lighting back and forth [Music] thank you for joining me here today at Legoland I really love this theme park I really think they do a good job of incorporating that Lego theming and into the theme park making a really immersive Lego based experience and also I think it's really amazing that the Cypress Gardens aspect of the park has been preserved Legoland did come in by the amusement park you know I think they replaced the Cypress garden rides with their rides but they kept you know the classic carts the water show and the Botanical Garden so that I think if something is very admirable odd likes the
