all of this gold that you have here my guess just just in scrap gold not scrap silver or the retail on the eBay items you probably have between funemployed is where it's at because I get to go out on the road and do whatever I want every day so today I'm meeting with Fred Honeycutt of Honeycutt jewelry in Mount Vernon Ohio you might remember Fred because he did an appraisal on $15,000 worth the jewelry that we found in a $400 storage unit that we bought in Norwalk Ohio when we went to visit him we dropped off a tote of all a bunch more stuff and so today we're gonna find out again how much money we've gotten gold silver gems diamonds who the Hales knows what he found do we have good news today or bad news oh yeah good news real good news er I think really that's awesome absolutely that's incredible just pardon my I fooled you Jeremy Hills and I have the same shirt on his last oh that's perfect that's that's a smart move all right Fred have we dropped all of this off to you last time so you said you have good news have good news and I have just regular news okay which one is the regular nice does it rate it's not bad news you know as far as that goes because you know this is all free stuff you got in it's all from storage units it's all from storage units so all this jewelry in here this is jewelry that you bought and you wanted me to separate out and tell you what was good and bad and what was gold and silver you have a lot of good stuff in here yeah and it's great yard sell items and some of it like the watches for instance some of these probably worked wonderfully wonderfully but this is all like more or less you know yard sell or eBay eBay stuff and it's all more or less costume jewelry and like I don't want your subscribers to read the bags and think there's something special in here because you had separate yeah because I had separated some things beforehand yeah from storage units so now now nothing in there that doesn't matter what it's labeled at but that's just costumes are exhausting I separated the the the really good stuff the gold and the silver is over there and resellable from from from your normal everyday items that you would probably find in a you know there's everything in here from yeah there's there's Boy Scout neckerchief yeah you know ties to you know grainy jewelry too you name it it's in here I even found that an antenna with a magnet on the end oh oh you know what I bet we were using that to test for for Gordon is over okay yeah what what is what would you encourage subscribers for testing gold and silver what are the easiest things for subscribers to do well the easiest thing is a magnet gold and silver and platinum or non-ferrous metals which means they don't belong into the iron family so they're non-magnetic but be careful because you can have gold-plated copper you can have gold-plated nickel and gold plated silver that you'll think is gold but it's still precious metals but it's just not solid so you have to be careful if you use a magnet and it sticks to a magnet and it's gold and somebody tells you it's gold and it's stamped 14-karat gold which it does happen many many times where it's stamped on the inside of a ring 14 karat gold but you stick it to a magnet and it attaches to a magnet it's not 14 karat gold the stamp doesn't mean anything that means it's not gold did you find anything like that in this lot um I found a lot of gold-plated stuff but nothing that was I had anything mislabeled yeah so that's good that's good but you have you have that I mean it's just you know there's people out there who replicate and duplicate everything so you have to be careful would you recommend viewers getting an acid test a test gold and silver at home yeah yeah I'm not I'm not a trying to sell Amazon to anybody but there are nice gold and silver testers on Amazon and they're very easy to use they're scratch testers and then there's actually you you know you can buy testers without the nitric acid and you can go to some of it sometimes your local pharmacy will have nitric acid that they will sell you that you can use in other acids you can use the test gold all right so now I have a question for the subscribers if you still want to see Fred create his own channel on YouTube and you would subscribe in the comments but Hales yes and I think that's pretty much all that we're gonna get as far as comets as hails yes right and and I want you all to know that you won't hurt my feelings if you don't want a YouTube channel because Jeremy is a very intelligent successful person and he has the knowledge and the will and drive to do it so you won't hurt my feelings nobody wants to see this this fat dude in a blue and red shirt all the time they see another fat dude and a big grade tore up hoodie all the time so out of everything in this tote Fred what were some of the things that you thought were kind of cool but they weren't gold and silver well you know i-i've kind of a big supporter of the military and I like to see these kind of things so this is a marksman badge for automatic rifle and grenades so this person during basic training or during their military career qualified marksman with an automatic rifle and with hand grenades so that was pretty cool that's pretty cool is this is that turquoise in the money clip turquoise would that be could that be true okay so so what you have here that's actually it's actually crushed turquoise so this is that's that's kind of what we we would attribute to like a Simula for turquoise so it's not real bad it's dad's crush there's really no value with it gotcha you know gotcha there's nothing that Fred doing what Fred does yeah see there's working karat is stable I said yeah right but it's just plated yep not absolutely not the gold that you wanted right that's okay I got an entire toda thank you sir fake gold alright now we got this box here now what were you saying was all in this box okay so in this box these are your items so that we're in your tote that are more sellable for eBay and or gold and silver yes yeah okay move ahead and open this up for you and now if if we in here and then we'll have Fred tell us at the very end what that value is okay so it's going to be an estimated value because I separated the gold and silver but I didn't separate it from 10 karat 14 18 karat platinum and or you know silver so it's it's gonna be did you find platinum in there too I I believe I did find one ring that was 18 karat gold platter yes I remember that one yeah so I remember that one so we'll start with this back here so these items here I'll go ahead and open this up for you Aleksei viewers I pay attention to these bags I gave it to them with a bunch of writing on it because George and I started to actually separate things so you've got golden diamond tennis bracelets in here are those actual diamonds there's actual they're actual diamonds that entire bracelet is diamonds yeah this is a diamond tennis bracelet no way yeah so this is a golden diamond tennis bracelet you have class rings in here the gemstones aren't real they're always synthetic right but the gold is real right you know that's actual gold that's actual gold yeah and that's a heavy heavy heavy piece would you say the class rings that's is that our heaviest gold yeah in here per item your class rings are gonna have the most metal which what there was two three of them in there yeah and see this one actually has diamonds around it those are diamonds oh those are actually so the center stone is not a genuine stone but these are diamonds Wow and then let's see I was just here do you see it in there another class for me I just dumped it out is that it right there yeah there we go there's yet another one so that's an older-style class ring still very popular so yeah these are all class rings and these are very heavy these are all gold mm-hmm yep Wow and that the one in the middle has diamonds in it yeah it has diamonds in it yeah it looks like somebody tried to pop one of them out so it's missing one there but now the diamonds in a class ring like that or even in the tennis bracelet would that have any value outside of the actual piece of jewelry or is it just too small of a diamond to have value no no they do have value but the problem the problem is is you finding someone who's gonna buy diamonds from you so if you walk into a jewelry store just to give you a little insight if you walk into a jewelry short story and you try to sell your ring and you say I'm gonna sell it for the gold and then I want to sell you the stones the jewelry store can probably buy the stones for less than what you're going to want for them gotcha yeah so there's value there is just finding somebody to actually purchase it absolutely yeah so if you in this case like say you have this cool bracelet which there's a ton of diamonds yeah there's probably 50 or 60 little diamonds in here how do you get somebody to actually buy all 50 to 60 diamond well what you can do is you can actually have a jeweler pull all those diamonds out and then you keep them in a little baggie and then online you can google and you'll probably find it there are people out there who will buy diamonds from you and bulk like that and then they'll give you a price form but you have to keep in mind you may pay you know two thousand dollars brand-new for a diamond tennis bracelet like this but you the diamonds themselves they're gonna they're gonna lowball you off for them because sure they're always gonna pay you less than with it then they can buy them for sure absolutely but they have they have that they always have to have a markup they always have to make money just like any other business if you don't make money you're not going to be in business there's people come in all the time and they they tried to talk me down on prices and I explained to them how do I pay for my overhead how do I pay for the bills how do I pay for my car how do I pay for my house there's nothing wrong with making a profit people who buy storage units are buying them to make exactly and nonprofits organizations that are not-for-profit make a profit always try and explain that to our subscriber base have to if you don't make a profit you're not in business even business nonprofits have to make a profit it just means that the board of directors doesn't get the money that the profit has made the profit is placed back into the business absolutely and they get other tax other tax incentives yeah anything else cool in here there's a Masonic ring in here I'm a Mason and I can tell you we're not a satanic orchid organization there's a lot of misconceptions about our reserve applied them cost so much is because it's a lot harder metal to work with when you make jewelry it's harder to dig out of the ground it's hard to separate from the ore everything about it it's just a lot harder than gold just more difficult yeah so you you pay a premium for platinum do you think this is a men's wedding band or a woman's wedding band um let's see okay that's pretty bad it's probably a man's being about sighs I see yeah well I can get one knuckle that's it right there what were some of the other cool pieces uh this ring right here this is a cool ring this is actually in style for four girls today this is sterling silver and this is just a cool ring for girls to wear and they're like how would they wear it that one's on oh just like that it's like then the gap goes up on the top yeah I mean you you know I don't my fingers are too big but yeah it just takes up the whole I gotcha that's a popular ring here's a gold nugget ring so would you put would you put jewels in there or what would you put in there oh you could this actually has never had a stone in and it looks like so it's just the actual yeah there's actually an oval stone that goes in here so as a jeweler what would you put in there oh when you put a diamond in there or the diamond that'd be a big diamond that'd be about a 1 carat but but the style is made to look like nuggets yeah yeah yep it's just made to imitate the the style of a nugget oh cool mm-hmm and then see we're dead of the Ring go so like this is actually a bridal ring that had another ring that actually inserted into it this is golden diamonds they're also that's diamonds - mhm see if we could focus on that a little bit better and I'm trying I'm trying there we go with the solid background so another ring went into that but yeah more likely that there's an insert that went over that but to piece it wasn't in actually in here no I didn't see it that's got diamonds in it this is Connie in style I don't believe this was a Pandora this is kind of rim is reminiscent of the Pandora silver necklace yeah and that was silver yeah yeah in diamonds and heavy old there's diamonds and diamonds in it yeah more diamonds you know more diamonds more diamonds Wow yeah you got a lot of nice stuff in here bunch of a bunch of gold like I say there's that there's a three stone ring there that's a kind of a pretty ring what kind of stones would those be a peridot and blue topaz see things and there's some little diamonds on it to see if we can there we go there's a little bit better focus in oh the diamonds are in the middle uh-huh in between the stones uh-huh just a little tiny ones Wow there's another another blue topaz and diamond ring sorry about the lighting everybody it's probably not helping the focus on the lighting is okay just focus is you have to have a solid background to focus in gotcha so like when I put my hand up here that gives the solid background and then it can focus and you said that's blue topaz and diamonds yep Wow yeah see you've got a lot of really nice stuff here there's another little little ring that goes with an engagement ring oh so that would that would be right with so that's diamonds - Wow yeah a lot of little stuff in here like that you know there's another little golden diamond ring more diamonds more Dutton's so every time every time you say diamonds I think they're guess is probably going up higher and higher as far as value yeah yeah yeah well here's here's the deal not the value that I'm gonna talk about at the end is just for its scrap value so you know these rings knew the value would absolutely skyrocket sure you know or resell on eBay would be different we're just gonna talk scrap value metal at the very end yeah possibly eBay eBay you never know what you're going to get from eBay and I recommend you take that course that Jeremy Hales and George put someone because I've watched the watch it online it looks like a good a good program so kind of fun and they could teach you how to sell this stuff online there you look plug for you however there you go did you find anything else cool and the spots over here or oh they got gold Jenga you got gold chains and silver chains I mean you got a little bit of everything in here okay percentage-wise what would you say gold percentage versus silver percentage and what you found in this right here and what was it it's probably you probably have anywhere between 20 to 30 percent silver in the rest code so majority gold so that's that's gonna that's gonna adjust their their guesses adjust it yep yeah and then and then if we push this aside which is they'll get your own there's a lot of cool stuff here there sure is sterling silver and that's shell that's a cool little pendant that's actually in really good shape this cool I mean you get you got this choker right here this wire choker it's a little dirty but cleaned up that would be a really pretty gift Starlin as well yeah a little-little sterling a horse here with inlays really nice yeah so you have a lot of yeah well he found a lot of nice stuff and then and there's stuff here that you even more stuff that that you found there's a gold ring with a blue star sapphire yeah that that has a lot of weight to it that is a beautiful that came from I bought that unit for I think 275 dollars and everything was labeled yeah and retail on this ring brand-spankin'-new this ring today would probably be for seventy five to six hundred dollars I believe it yeah I believe it remember I would I don't remember I have to look it's probably 14k gold my guess I mean so one of the tools of the trade right here and care gonna sting care gold yeah yep with the blue star blue star sapphire you might have heard him called Lindy Lindy stars Union Carbide the oil company actually made those original oh really I mean it caught on one and pretty cool stuff Wow I see look at that he's hiding more cool stuff and look at that we got one cool ring in here that your viewers might be interested but we'll show you that later okay so this is a this is a little necklace here that was in there be good eBay seller remember correct that was sterling silver nice mm-hmm across yeah that's a beautiful beautiful and then I'll tell you Paul that the gold and silver out first these are all sterling silver a nice little set of a rings you sell that on eBay you see probably you know the prices on their shape yeah probably for a kid you know yep get it for a little kid mm-hmm but it's got the sterling yep yeah makes my sterling silver and then in this box here this looks like somebody's wedding ring and that's actually a diamond that's a marquise diamond so really yeah these two rings after these two rings here actually go together so that is roughly about a third of a carat marquise and the rest of diamonds that's all 14k gold so brand-new this set right here probably sold anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000 dollars nice and you can see on the bottom here where this has been cut off and that was for sizing right or no that was probably because they they probably either had a medical emergency of some type oh yeah or they or they couldn't get it off and went into a jewelry store my guess is since you found this in a storage unit is that they probably had a medical emergency and some probably packed up their stuff yeah and forgot about it you know and that was in with the necklace yeah and I believe that was ten karat gold there and is that a diamond let's test it together okay yeah I don't believe it is I believe it's a cz so but just so your your your viewers can see how it would be cool to show them how to actually how you test it now I could I could teach you how to do it under a microscope but that that's just going to be one that could be one whole video all in it that's a video we want to see on his channel take ours right that's the video we want to see on Fred's channel but this this is actually a diamond tester and this this measures heat index so it's the ability of the gemstones to to absorb heat and then it Oh tell if it's a diner or not the kind it has a certain heat index so what you do is you take this right and you put this little copper wire on the stone now see how that's not coming back as a diamond so it's not a diamond now so if we've got real diamond so if you take a real diamond like this guy right here see how says element that it's measuring the heat index of the stone and it's coming back diamond now there are some other testers that test moissanite and other gemstones and having a very close heat index to Diamond but but this is a diamond this is the Marquise this unfortunately is not this is a cz but it is 10 karat gold yeah so this little guy right here refresh my memory real fast yeah so this is actually an award that a company has given this person and this is all sterling silver so it's a sterling silver charm and a sterling silver necklace oh wow someone probably worked long and hard to get that and then they got it and cool that one will say that one for last then here's some sterling silver fairy earrings it looks like what's that fairies name Tinker Bell Tinker Bell yeah there's some Tinker Bell earrings look at that and that's something else somebody's gonna love those man you got all kinds of goodies have other goodies I've been in here some sterling silver with a diamond and sapphire Wow and it's still in its original box that's pretty yeah how much would you guess that earring set is worth um just guess and we all understand it's a guess off the top of his head the sapphires aren't gonna be high quality so you probably like probably 55 to $75 yep yeah my guess is you're pretty good all right so these items now these are these are what I would say good for eBay items and you probably know more about these than I do but this is a Winnie the Pooh watch that would sell really well you know no doubt about it I didn't put a battery in it but I'm sure it'll probably run and you like watches too right I do like watching you absolutely have many myself it's not because I'm the jewelry store owner it's because I like watches that's your thing and then here's another one like say Jeremy we probably know more about the resale value of these there's a Mickey Mouse watch those are very popular still especially right now with the anniversary of Disney going on so the popularity is growing and keep in mind the band's not in great shape but the band doesn't mean anything you can replace they always report yeah replace the leather band do you do any band replacements here I do absolutely so you guys all near Mount Vernon he's the man to come see if you want a genuine ostrich band or crocodile or any any kind of crazy caiman band or anything like that I can get that or I can get this simulated stuff to George's from Egypt can we get a camel band ooh a camel band probably dude we'll settle for goats yeah so this is really cool item this is a really old Seiko watch this is a collector's item and I have no doubt you'll sell this on eBay so that psychos collectors that's a collector's all right how much do you think it's worth uh well I'm not a collector but I would say you could probably sell this for two or three hundred dollars easy yeah that watch to a collector yep absolutely we get so many watches and then here's a Seiko watch this was a nice bangle style Seiko watch like say I pulled out watches that I think would settle bit on eBay no doubt it probably runs even if it doesn't in you sell assured 2530 dollars they could send it in the Seiko have new movement put in it for Albie and their 35 to 55 dollars and it be up and running again you up and around and here's a coach watch for all your coach ladies I don't need I don't have to tell you about coach do you think those are diamonds I've always wondered if those were diamonds they probably are with my thought yeah and there is no really diamond chips like people think there are there's either full cut diamonds or single cut diamonds single cut diamonds are diamonds that you sometimes would assume were diamond chips but they have only 17 facets and then you have full cut diamonds which have 57 to 59 facets cool so a coach watch like that it wouldn't be labeled with diamonds if there were diamonds in there dropping the label right you probably said that on the box absolutely but we don't have the box box but this watch probably brand-new from Coach and I'm taking a wild guess this watch was probably like $250 yeah yeah yeah I believe it and then not last but not least this is second to last like say these are items I thought was so good on eBay this is a psychokinetic watching it looks like a brand new watch I get to never been worn and this watch brand new from Seiko probably sold for around 350 to 450 dollars yeah I don't think it's ever been an out of the box no doesn't make been worn at all yeah and all the paperwork is there with it all the paperwork so right here you have the everything the original documents you could sit in a Seiko that's probably past its five-year warranty but if it wasn't running they could get it running for you for a fairly fairly cheap really cheap yep good watch you can go to this app on your phone it's called kit Co and it will give you current prices for pure metal and gold is up right now gold is up right now and then you see sterling silver here is at 1497 platinum palladium and rhodium these are all metals used in jewelry making Fred we are absolutely dying to know the value and so as we're looking at all of this gold and silver dime ends and and other other gems there what are we looking at as far as value well as far as the gems go we won't speak to that because I can't take them out weigh em but as far as the gold goes everything you have here and gold but you would be giving a scrap value right can you explain that to us a little bit I so this ring right here you buy this from say are carved and you might pay 450 to 600 dollars for brand-spankin'-new depending on the ring you choose you're buying that retail okay so scrap value is when you bring the ring like this into a jeweler or into a gold buyer and and you say how much will you give me for this well we're just going to send it to this to the refiner or we're gonna scrap it in a box on place in the back and we're gonna wait till gold reaches a price that is conducive enough to send in all the metals so that we can make a little bit of money so it's scrap pricing so all of this gold that you have here my guess just just in scrap gold not scrap silver or the retail on the eBay items you probably have between six and eight thousand dollars would be my guess what yeah Hale for scrap car scrap now obviously you can make more money if you're sending it into the refiner yourself if you have a brick-and-mortar store and you have an account with a refiner you can make more money than selling it to a Georgia store but jewelry stores have to make money they have to stay in business so they're obviously gonna make a little bit of money on your gold [Music] you [Music]
